The barber here is rude. One of my client's went here and the barber refused him service. told him to get out of his chair and refused to help him just because of the way he looked. Very unprofessional, rude and unkind. My client went someplace else and got a great cut. Only went to this place because someone gave us as a reference. Five stars! I got a haircut and it was very cheap at only twenty dollars and it looks good too! I am also a trans man only a few months on T and the barber was very accepting that I was in the right place. I wanted a guy's haircut and it doesn't matter what I looked like otherwise. Overall a solid cut. Needed a quick cut before a wedding and these guys were perfect. Took only a few minutes for the cut, and it was a very chill place. The two barbers seemed like they were just hanging out, but they got to us right away and they definitely know what they're doing. It was a no nonsense kind of haircut. And for 20$, can't complain. This is a no frills place, not a beauty salon and not a hip, instagrammy place. They have fast service and reasonable prices. It's been here for a couple decades and a true Fullerton staple. Lets start with the Bad. I normally don't let others bad reviews affect my decisions so I tried out the bad barber here and the reviews are correct. I dont know if hes a bad barber or a bad listener. He did what he wanted and messed up my boys hair. There are a total of 4 barbers here. The last chair We have never sat in so I have nothing to say except hes a nice guy. Next chair is the so called bad chair. Take your chances. He;s been here a long time and has plenty of regulars. So He can't be too bad. The next chair, this guy is the one everyone fears. I see he does older guys haircuts and I think that is what he prefers. Then there's Sam. He has the pompadour and uses a Jack Daniels bottle as a water sprayer. He is who does my hair. Having given these guys a few good chances... Im thoroughly disappointed. These old timers don't do anything other than a dapper dan, barber shop quartet, run-of-the-mill haircut. They also turn your chair around so you can't spectate, which is always sus. If you want a cheap haircut, that doesn't last more than 15 mins... come here. I like this place because it looks old school, good price $9.50+$1.5tips=$11 total and quick hair cut that makes it a short wait. What I don't like is the quality of the hair cuts. I am not sure why everyone else is getting the best haircuts here besides me. Maybe because I used to be in the Marines, so that the quality of the hair cut matters a lot to me. I had two haircuts here, the first time I spotted the mistake and told the barber to fixed it on the spot. The second time I saw a few missed spots after I got home and took a shower. To continue to breaking of the 5 star streak; this had to be the worst cut I've ever had! I should have been able to tell ahead of time, when the barber had a flat top-mullet combo. I was excited to find a barber that didn't charge an arm and a leg for a quick fade. I got cut buy some 40 year old and I was disappointed. He did exactly what I asked for minus the fade. It literally looked like he put a bowl on my head trimmed around it. I asked him to fade the back of my hair a bit more. He tried but made it worse. I left so disappointed and promised myself never to go back. Fast forward 2 years I decided to give this shop a second chance. I was low on cash and I had hair going over my ears. This is the worst place I have ever been to get my 5 year old hair cut. First off when you first walk in it smells like smoke. Second I had to tell him pretty much how to cut my sons hair, I told him 3 or 4 times what he missed. He tries to rush me when I asked him to please fix the sides. When I left I he says a red remark something like one of the worst customers. I've come here two times when I was really desperate for a cut. I tried it the second time since I couldn't believe the haircut could be that bad the first time. I normally get haircuts elsewhere, but since I go to school in fullerton, it's convenient sometimes to get it in fullerton. The problem with this barber shop has to do with the disparity between the hair cut you want and what they give you. I usually ask for a pretty simple and short cut, but the final product has been far off from what I asked for here. I haven't had this problem where the cut was so different than what I asked for at other barbers. I'm not sure if this was a problem for other customers, but this was my experience both times I came here. The barbers are nice enough, and the cut is pretty cheap at $9.50, but if you can find a better place even at higher prices, it's worth it to go there instead. read more

I came here a 4 years ago and had a couple of decent hair cuts until I got this old guy who messed up my hair. He made it uneven and I'm pretty insecure about my hair so I never came back however one day I was desperate for a hair cut and everywhere I usually go theres a long wait I decided to give this place a second chance so I came in got a hair cut and it made up for the haircut that old guy gave me a couple of years ago. HOWEVER I came back a 3-4 weeks later to get a haircut again and that old guy who cut my hair 4 years ago was there. I decided not to say anything and give him a second chance. THE TOP OF MY HEAD WAS UNEVEN and it was obvious he even looked at me and tried to play it off when I had a look of dissapointment. He said "thats what you asked for and if you asked me it looks good to me". I didn't even bother getting it fix until it grows out so everyday I looked in the mirror when I wake up I can feel angry and reminded to never EVER go back to that barbershop again. Granted I had other barbers in that barbershop cut my hair and the haircut was exceptional but because that barber was incompetent enough to fuck up my hair not just once but twice was enough for me. I mean the first time he fucked up my hair was 4 years ago the second time was 4 years later you would imagine within that four year range he would either improved or get fired. Ok so to start off I've been here twice, the first time I was completely disappointed and all I wanted was a clean around the edges ,when I went home i had hairs on the back of my neck,it looked like a shorty shave job, and tbh I could have done THAT myself.i went back finally for a second time perhaps feeling that I had maybe been a little vague with the barber etc etc. I furthermore gave them a second chance,went in , was attended to in a timely fashion ,I got the same,just a quick clean up on the last half an inch all around my hairline,again,left hairs on my neck where it made it all fall apart,I literally had to take care of them myself upon arriving home. ok so In the window it says 13 dollars, when he was done doing what he did which only took 2 minutes at most,I asked how much and he said 15 ,so either they're liars,on the window,they're liars inside the shop,or they're incorporating a tip automatically ,which is a little generous considering it took him 2 minutes to do my cleanup . All in all my experience is horrible and overpriced and just shady.but I'm sure they do attend to their other clients better,as in they're regular old geezers that are most likely the only ones that can be holding this shop afloat.
