My lovely Aunt was on a rapid decline from lung cancer while I was traveling through Europe and I reached out to the owners to see if I could have some flowers delivered to her. Coordinating was a tiny bit tricky with time differences and payment info, but they were so kind and made the process so easy for me, making sure that flowers were sent ASAP and payment, etc was figured out later. I can't begin to tell you how refreshing it was crossing paths with Derith and Artistic Florals! My son was scrambling to go to prom at the last minute, so that means as parents we were scrambling too! I called Artistic Florals and I quickly filled Derith in on how desperate we were to have a custom made corsage and boutonniere made in less than 24 hours. She instructed me to have my son call her directly and provide all necessary details for the order as a way to promote autonomy and independence for himself. If he did that, she would have the order ready in time AND would not charge him! I practically begged her to take money for the exchange and she said this was her way of giving back to the community. Again, so refreshing to meet a business owner who is willing to sacrifice her time and profits to help a teenager learn to take initiative on their own. I wish I could give 10 stars! Derith and her team recently handled our outdoor wedding/outdoor cocktail hour/indoor reception. She took a totally "blah" space (mid-century Naval facility) and created a tropical wonderland, as per the wishes of the bride. She nailed it. Many of our guests had attended events at this popular bayside military facility in the past and were flabbergasted by the transformation created by Derith. I am so grateful - highly highly recommend. And one last thing .... ours was a wedding for approx. 200 people so a lot of flowers. Derith brought in a hospice organization to repurpose the flowers for patients in hospice care. Derith stayed until the end of the reception to purposely and personally transport the flowers in order to transfer them to hospice. What an incredible person. read more

I don't normally write bad reviews, but felt like it was necessary after how I was treated by the owner. I filled out their form in regards to what my vision is for my wedding florals. I am choosing to go a more minimalistic route and only wanting to spend about $1,500. As someone who is not an expert in flowers, I rely on those who are to provide appropriate information regarding how realistic my budget would be for what I'm looking for. I reached out to about 10 florists in all. Some responded saying they had higher minimums than I can afford or that they were already booked on my day, ok no problem. When I received the email from this owner, she was very rude and condescending. She basically said in the email that there was "no way" I would be able to achieve my vision for $1,500. And to top it off, she said that they would not dye orchids to make them blue. What I had requested was orchids for my bouquet to include white and colored orchids. Again, as someone not in the floral business how am I supposed to know that orchids don't come in other colors and the only way to do so is to dye them? The way she phrased it made me feel like I'm some sort of horrible person for even considering "dyed" flowers. Funny thing is, in the time it took them to respond to me I have already secured a florist in San Diego who had no issue with my budget or the flowers I envision. So apparently it is not "impossible" for me to achieve my vision. All in all, I just didn't appreciate how condescending the email was considering it was just to find out information from them and if they were available on my wedding date. She could've simply said my budget was too low for them and left it at that, which would've been fine and what other florists said. Instead she felt the need to be rude. I'm so thankful I found my florist, thank goodness it wasn't these people. read more

She was very consultative, which is a sign of a true professional, and I knew that we would be in good hands. On the big day, Artistic Florals never skipped a beat during our complex timeline. They delivered bouquets and bouts in the morning in time for photos, got the ceremony and cocktail hour venues ready, put florals on our cake and signs, flipped the florals in the ceremony space for the dinner reception, and came back later that evening to collect the vases and lanterns we had rented. Our venue was stunning, and we were so happy with all of the greenery and flowers we ordered. I didn't have to worry about a thing the whole day, and their services so appreciated and well worth it. Usually I like tropical arrangements but for Christmas since we were having a French theme I wanted pink roses and gold embellishment. My wedding was two weeks ago for 150 people in San Diego. We had a good initial meeting with Patrick. He is professional and knowledgeable. The bouquets and boutineers were good. Unfortunately the flowers for the reception didn't turn out the way we expected. We asked multiple times "No pink" on the flower arrangements as my wife does not like this color. Unfortunately, we had a lot of pink in the arrangements. :/ They also said that they would open the bridesmaid bouquets and add greens in order to make them bigger for the centerpieces on the reception. This was not done. Our wedding coordinator and caterer tried to contact them with no response. We had one year of wedding planning, with 11 vendors working with us. Unfortunately, they were the only ones that we felt were not there to support us. read more
