I've been going to Art's since the old location. My barber is Andres "Andy" but I've had cuts from of course Art and some of the other barbers. This is my spot - won't go anywhere else! They do a great and thorough job. For me what's important is quality over quantity. I know when I'm getting a cut that I'm not in a rush. I'm sure if you let them know you are in a rush they can probably crank you out. I'm never in a rush here because coming here is like an experience. The Camaraderie is the best. The banter amongst barbers and chat is always fun to be part of. What are good places to eat, where are good places to hang out, good movies to see etc.... It's all part of the experience. I have my barbers # and text him and he gets back to me quickly with available times. There is plenty of parking and normally waiting area has plenty of room too - COVID has changed things though. Best barber shop in Covina. Best cuts and looks very clean. Even though they have great talent, I try my hardest to avoid it because of the price and wait times. I usually spend around 25-30 dollars with tip for a traditional haircut, accompanied by a 1-2 hour wait time. The haircut itself also takes around an hour. I'm, also, not a huge fan of the vibe- they seem very busy and almost bothered if you are a walk-in (appointments cost extra to the already pricey haircut). I try to go to a lady in Whittier that charges 15 with a fraction of the wait time. But I'll take what I can get. read more

They've switched their game up. No more graffiti on the wall, they've added TV's and the staff is more hospitable. I paid $16 for a fade plus $2 tip. That's about $5 more than the spot that's been fucking up my hair the last two years but definitely worth it. I'll be back. While I'm on the subject, the haircut prices are written in pen on a piece of paper taped to the back of a door. It said $12-16, so I was never sure what I'd be paying. Do some barbers charge more on gp? Apparently you can schedule an appointment but those haircuts cost more, I think, as the price sheet had the elevated costs crossed out. I couldn't tell if in fact there was an increase and If so, was it on account of it being an appointment or bcuz the barber got skills like that. read more

Arts is hands down the best barber shop in Covina, if not the SGV. Art (the owner) is a really cool, approachable dude and is holding it down in there with his other barbers. I drive down there once every 2 weeks from Alhambra because I don't really trust too many people with my hair. Haircut always comes out the way I ask, customer service is good and you can't beat a $13 cut. I definitely recommend this spot to anyone in the area looking for a new barber.
