I regret coming here based on the favorable reviews. We had a few different rolls and ordered veggie tempura on the side. They gave us the mixed tempura (I think on purpose to charge us more). Everything was mediocre for its price and I was disappointed because it's not like Cabo doesn't have good seafood. People saying this is the best sushi they've ever had likely just means they have limited experiences. I've had better sushi in nice grocery stores. Megumi Sushi in the Cabo Container Park was much better for a fraction of the price. It's nice and all to sit outside by the marina, but Arts & Sushi isn't the move. read more

Ok guys, this place was SO good. It's located right on the marina and I was shocked more people weren't in the restaurant with us. We brought fresh mahi mahi that we had caught that morning and let me tell you, they did not disappoint. We trusted Ramon, our server, and he surprised us with everything. We told him to do some raw, some cooked, and just whatever the chef or he recommends! We had to have gotten 8 different dishes that came out and we were STUFFED to say the least. Our favorites were the pan fried fish in some sort of asian inspired sauce and of course the rolls. I forgot to take pictures of some, but trust me when I tell you that it was ALL delicious. If you love sushi go!! If you catch some fish while you're in Cabo, take it here and have it cooked or enjoy it raw with sushi! We ate at Arts & Sushi in Dec. 2022 and had a good meal and enjoyed ourselves. The meal portion was just right and the food was good. The location is right at the end of the marina when crossing from one side to the other. We would have given 5 stars except for the excessive mayonaise used on the roll. This little place is located right on the water and has a great view of the marina. We went out fishing and when we returned the owner welcomed us and searched up some of the best food I've ever had. A local friend recommended us taking some of our fresh catch here and I'm sure glad we took his advice. We caught the fish they cut up the fish and prepared it perfectly. Food overall really good. We read reviews on TripAvisor and decided to try here. We had a few rolls and sashimi for appetizer. Staff forgot about the 3rd roll until it never cane and we reminded them. Staff was very friendly and we would go there again but we did come out with a $175 bill for 4 rolls, sashimi appetizer, gyoza appetizer, 2 miso soups and a Mexican bottle of sparkling wine. I'd recommend hit their 50% Tuesdays deal I read about as that would make it all worth it. We may be back on a Tuesday at least. read more

I'm really surprised at the yelp ratings after eating here on numerous occasions. I wanted to try it a few different times before writing my review just in case I got lucky. That wasn't the case though. Every time I've eaten here the food has been awesome! It's always fresh and has some great sushi. I've even started drinking saki now :) The service is great, they don't rush you if you want to take your time and order in stages and just enjoy meal and company. The curried shrimp are delicious and I am not a fan of curry but would definitely order it again! read more

No clue how people actually said this place is very good but what do you expect eating Japanese in Mexico I guess. Fish is fresh not frozen that's a star and nice/clean. Arts & Sushi is rated highly on TripAdvisor. After our experience there, we decided to do away with consulting TripAdvisor for anything food-related. (Actually, we found the ratings in general for restaurants during our stay to be weighted heavily on the favorable side compared to our experiences...you've been warned.) Maybe our mistake was opting for sushi in Cabo to begin with, and the fact there was not an Asian diner in site should have immediately tipped us off. Just like we do when we dine at our favorite place back home, we ordered the shrimp tempura, unagi, hamachi, tako and seaweed salad. The octopus was fishy smelling and about three days past fresh. The rest was edible, but just not very good. While dining, several people walked by and remarked on how good the food at this place is. I was very tempted to jump out of my chair, chase them down the marina path, and ask them on what planet they consider this good sushi. Do yourself a favor and look elsewhere for Japanese food in Cabo (or even better, stick to the local fare). read more

You may not think of sushi and Cabo together, but this place scores big time. We have been there twice, and both times were five star. Cannot recommend it enough. They have a sashimi yellowtail (?) with spicy sesame oil that is highly recommended, among many other things. read more

Friend of mine in Chicago lived in Cabo for several years. This was our second time in Cabo and every spot he's recommended has been spot on, so when I asked for a sushi spot he recommended Nic San #1 and this spot second. He said to find Ramon and ask him for only specials and everything fresh. Surprisingly Ramon was our waiter! My family of 5 including 3 girls 13,11,8 started looking at the menu but right after I told Ramon what we wanted ( specials and everything fresh) he took the menus and Said - " you don't need those". He proceeded to bring out plates of sushi which my kids, hands down, called the best sushi they have ever had. I would agree that it was up there. Great spot. The two of us stopped in today around lunch time for a cold, refreshing beverage and to get some relief from the heat. We didn't order any alcohol and hadn't planned to order any food (in a servers eyes, we were a really cheap ticket) our server chatted with us about the local fishermen, their daily catch, & his sushi recommendations. We asked about places to snorkel and not only did he provide a couple beaches, he gave us driving directions and showed us pictures too. Needless to say, service is wonderful. We lingered long enough to order tuna and jalapeño sushi which was some of the very best I've ever had! I will be recommending this place (and its sister art gallery) to anyone traveling to Cabo. read more

If you are looking for straight sashimi you're mixture of wasabi you are best asking for that exclusively. They do use sauces, I'm a sashimi lover, but these sauces are too good. Best sushi in Cabo and quite possibly the best sushi I've ever had. Ramone takes care of us everytime. Chefs specials, tell him what you are looking to spend, then eat it up. Great sushi rolls and atmosphere. Always a delicious meal with great service. We visit Cabo multiple times a year and make sure we eat at Arts & Sushi at least one once each visit. The No Name Roll and the Cucumber Roll are a must have. Don't let the Cucumber Roll name fool you. It's loaded with real king crab. read more

We've been coming to cabo for years and this has become our favorite for sushi. Cabo is a fishermans paradise and much of the fish is local..tuna, yellowtail,sierra mackerel and more. The octopus is local. Ramon, long time host is always great about making recommendations. We liked it so much, we ate here 2 nights in a row! We caught our own Wahoo and Skipjack on a morning fishing trip, and brought some of our fresh fish with us to dinner each night. Ramon & the staff & chefs at Arts & Sushi took great care of us: they prepared 7 different plates for us each night -- sushi, sashimi, and some excellent fried & teriyaki plates (something for everyone in our group of 6).
