Arturo's is about as Austin as you'd expect! A tiny joint with a menu specifically curated to where I don't recommend making any substitutions and instead having things exactly as they intended! The staff are really chill and friendly, and helpful to boot. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I don't recommend going with a crowd, as seating (both downstairs and outside) are limited, but if you can pop in alone or with a friend or two you are in for a treat.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Both their breakfast and lunch options allow for meat eaters and vegetarians alike to enjoy. I didn't ask, but I didn't see any notes on the menu that you are able to substitute gluten free bread, but there are still a few gf options available. Definitely a place you'll have to walk to rather than drive, but that is par for the location. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Overall a cute and quiet little gem right smack under a busy city![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

[[HIGHLIGHT]]This place has an eclectic colorful vibe.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The service was friendly and prompt. The sandwiches and salad we had were pretty tasty. No complaints here.

Hit the spot ! Lunch to go and don't forget the cookie on side ! That spot got to be top notch of ATX !

Absolutely loved this place!!! The staff was sweet. The ambience was comforting and lots of locals. You grab your own refills and talk to people which is communal. And well the food was delicious. I just had two tacos (bean, bacon, avocado & bean, potato, chorizo) and a latte and was more than satisfied. So much so that I was craving it the next morning. Oh and one last thing. I bought the chocolate cookie for my son and forgot to give to him until the next day and it was still incredibly soft! It must have been a brownie cookie.

Must try if you're a breakfast or brunch lover! Stopped by Arturo's on a Saturday around 10 AM. The set-up of this place is really interesting as you go down steps to reach the entrance. General ambiance and design of the cafe is charming and kinda quirky with all the different decor. Good amount of seating inside. Our server was quick in taking our orders, but they were pretty busy and it took some time for us to get our food. Chinati ($17, 4.5/5) - The addition of the pulled pork, cheddar jack, and pico de gallo added complexity in terms of flavor to the tried and true combination of eggs, hollandaise sauce, English muffins - The pulled pork is slow cooked and really tender Diablo ($16, 5/5) - Features grilled jalapeño cheese bread, bacon, over easy eggs, chipotle hollandaise, pico de gallo, and home fries - This would be my favorite out of the 2! The cheese bread is really tasty and I liked the chipotle hollandaise. The home fries were seasoned well too. All in all, would recommend checking out Arturo's! The price is on the higher end for some dishes, but reasonable given the large portion sizes. The dishes are pretty rich & heavy though, so just be prepared that you might be in a food coma afterwards.

Eggcellent breakfast tacos! Two seems to be a good serving for a moderate appetite. They were freshly made (takes a few minutes) but well worth the wait. Ingredients seem fresh and the pico is perfect. Highly recommend for a quick bite!

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Arturo's is a hole in the wall with an unmistakable Austin charm.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Highly recommend coming for brunch and trying their eggs Benedict! I tried the "clasico" which comes with black forest ham, classic hollandaise, and a side of home fried potatoes. It was delicious and very filling. I arrived on Saturday at 12 pm and there was a line of about 10 people, but it moved quickly and I was seated within 20 minutes. Service is quick and friendly. There was plenty of paid street parking on W 17th St in front of the Travis County Civil Court.

Perfect breakfast- husband was parking car in a lot next to the restaurant- they were charging $20 or $25 - owner/ manager noticed us parking there and got us a parking spot on the street. (That parking lot is privately owned and price-gouges so find street parking.) Upon entering, we were welcomed in by the guy behind the counter - so nice! And then going downstairs- so cute! [[HIGHLIGHT]]I loved the ambience and vibe.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Breakfast was really good - we did the scrambles and u can't go wrong (potatoes could be cooked just slightly longer). But all the other food we saw going by looked delish. Definitely recommend for food, ambience and employee service.

I love Arturo's, one of the best spots near the capital to grab lunch. Their chicken Caesar sandwich is delicious, and comes with a pickle! (Yippee!) [[HIGHLIGHT]]their seating area is downstairs and it's so cozy and lovely down there.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The staff is always so kind, welcoming, and funny!

Hidden, small underground spot. Very cute and family-feel. There was a line outside but we waited maybe 15 minutes. I got the marfa eggs benedict and it took me by surprise. I LOVE eggs benedict & this was delicious. The classic hollandaise sauce was so flavorful and creamy. The english muffin was well buttered. I would come back for the food! Service was also great, our server checked on us multiple times and we got our food very quickly!

We got there right at 10 when they opened for weekend brunch, which was a good call because when we left at 10:40 AM there was already a line out the door. Everything we ordered was very tasty, and an affordable price. Service was very good too! It's a cozy place inside and definitely is underground as the name suggests. It was pretty chilly inside so bring a jacket if it's cold outside. Home fries were yum, and chipotle hollandaise was a highlight! I'd say 4.5 stars because of the fact that most of the benedict/breakfast options contained pork and they're not great about substitutions which restricted what i was able to order. Rounding down to 4 stars because of this and because I wasn't quite blown away in the way that I want 5 stars to do for me

This place was good, I'd probably give it a 3.5 if I could but really it feels like a place I need to go back to try other things. While exploring the many museums across the University of Texas campus, a quick caffeine break was needed for my girlfriend and we were overwhelmed by the number of options on The Drag. It makes sense that there are plenty of places to choose from because of the large number of UT students. Everyone needs a little coffee in their lives. One of the highest reviewed ones with a large pool of ratings was Lucky Lab Coffee and after checking a few quick reviews, we decided to give it a chance. Lucky Lab has five locations in Austin (four on campus) and one location in Dripping Springs. The one we were at off The Drag was their flagship. This location serves a little bit of everything from sandwiches to pastries, salad to quiche, and of course, coffee. As we walked inside the flagship, it is easy to notice how tight the space is. There is very little seating inside at their bar, but they make up for it with plenty of shaded outdoor space that is perfect for a nice day. Scanning their menu, we landed on some drinks from their winter menu. I was intrigued by their Pomegranate Rosemary Latte while my girlfriend tried their Ginger Spice Mocha. We got them both iced. First, it is interesting to see the fusion of pomegranate and rosemary in a latte. I was intrigued by those flavors. Their drink sizes are 12 oz, 16 oz, and 20 oz, each adding an additional 50 cents to each upgrade. All milk alternatives cost 1 dollar. It was only a short wait to get our coffees and the cup with the little lab on it was cute. I think specialty drinks have an opportunity to be amazing and one of a kind or the worst drink imaginable. This pomegranate rosemary latte did not fall into either category exactly, but leaned more toward the latter. I love pomegranates and I always appreciate how earthy rosemary can be in a coffee. One of my favorite lattes I have ever had has rosemary in it. This was just not working for me. I shamefully did not finish my coffee. As for my girlfriend, she did not like her ginger spice mocha. I could not imagine gingerbread syrup not working in a mocha, but after trying it myself it was not for me either. It seems like a perfect match, but here the gingerbread is competing with the chocolate and instead of complementing each other they clash. She told me that the flavors were "un-mocha like". She drank less than half of her coffee before tossing it as well. Neither of us wanted to dislike Lucky Lab. They seem well established and I felt like they were trustworthy based on reviews, but I wonder what these previous reviewers were tweaking on or what magical concoction of coffee granted from heaven above they were sipping on because we were distraught by how disappointing these drinks were. I would like to give Lucky Lab Coffee Co the benefit of the doubt and say that maybe the specialty drinks were not up to par with their traditional beverages. However, the almost 30 different syrup options on their wall make me feel they lack a little focus and try too hard to stand out. They lose what makes a coffee good, which is coffee. I want to say I will give them a second shot in the future to see if it was just an off day or a bad beverage pick. Too many shots turns a Lucky Lab into Old Yeller. The lab needs to be put on a leash before I think about returning. RIYL: options

I was a little confused when I drove up because I didn't realize that it's inside the Retreat Yoga Studio. There is a neon sign on the window as well as an A-Frame Sign near the entrance to let you know you're in the right place. Parking is plentiful in the shopping center. Because it's in a Yoga Studio, there isn't much seating (though they did have tables set up outside). The vibe was relaxing and calm. I don't know what scent they had in there, but it smelled nice. This wouldn't be a place to study or work as the seating is limited and I didn't see many outlets. There was a small area with bar stools if you need a tabletop, but most of the seating was couches and lounge chairs. It's more of a place to relax or catch up with a friend. I love when coffee shops have signature drinks. I ordered the Cajeta Crème Brûlée Cappuccino. It was so good, but it came in a small cup. The smoky sea salt was delicious! I don't typically care for sea salt in beverages, but it complimented the flavors so well! I asked the barista to sub oat milk which they were able to do but he informed me that some of the ingredients had dairy (which was fine). I appreciated the disclosure. I was able to drink it without any issues. Because my drink was so small, I decided to order a second one. I went with the Ginger Snap Latte (with oat milk) and it was tasty! I didn't like it as much as the Cajeta Crème Brûlée, but it was really good. I was happy that it was served in a larger cup. The space had plants as well as merch like clothing, scented candles, soaps, and jewelry (which was beautiful). The bathrooms were very clean and had feminine hygiene products as well as a basket with bobby pins and hair ties. I love the attention to detail! We were there close to closing time (3 pm). I appreciated that one of the employees let us know that they would be closing without forcing us to get up and leave. It was on par with the gentle and calming vibe of the space.

Maybe my expectations were too high (as usual) because it's inside a hotel, but I was hoping for the kind of warm hospitality hotels are known for, but instead, the service felt a bit cold. It didn't exactly make me want to spend more money there. While sitting on the patio, I spotted the food truck outside and thought, "PERFECT. A food truck HAS to be cheaper. Take that Simona's!" I walked up to the window... only to find out it wasn't actually a separate food truck. It was just the pickup window. To order? I had to go back inside to Simona's and place my order with the delightful staff... I ended up ordering two Blue Migas tacos, and honestly, they were just... good, but nothing memorable. They tasted like your average breakfast tacos that you can find all over Austin for less. Despite loving how relaxing the outdoor patio is with its lucious greenery surrounding you and the beautiful French chairs and cafe tables, it's located right next to the hotel pool.
