    Turkey & Bacon Panini
    Evelyn S.

First wanted to give a shoutout to Ken, the owner for reaching out about my previous order! Stopped by Mary's Cafe another time and ordered a Turkey & Bacon Panini and Mary Street waffle. Turkey & Bacon Panini ($10.99, 4.5/5) - The focaccia bread was delicious! The overall taste of the panini was also very satisfying. A tad on the saltier end, but all the ingredients work together nicely! Mary Street Waffle ($7.99, 5/5) - Waffle was great as always - crispy on the outside and warm & fluffy on the inside. The first time I ordered the waffle, it didn't have all the ingredients but second time's the charm. The strawberries were fresh and provided a good, tart balance to the overall sweetness of the dish. Looking forward to visiting again for the good food and customer service!

Small cute cafe. Very warm vibe and good food. I had lox cream cheese bagel and amazing iced Chai latte. Highly recommend.

Cute place be very, very nice. A good of gf accommodations including gf breakfast bowls. Fresh avocado , tomato and spinach in the Red River Bowl. It can with 2 huge omelet type egg patty's which was too much for me to eat. Didn't love eating with plastic utensils but feel great that it was a healthier meal. Good coffee drinks. I had a matcha latte and not more money for oat milk!!!

Came on a Wednesday afternoon, and they weren't too busy. More people for take-out. Service was quick, and the workers are super kind! They have some bar seating to look out the window, but otherwise not the largest place. Very homey! Turkey & Bacon Panini (7.5/10) - Delicious! Their bread is soooo good. Super crunch, warm, and not too heavy. Definitely hits the spot - Although this item is slightly on the more expensive side ($10.99) and doesn't have any chips/fries or sides (a small slice of watermelon), overall a good quick, light bite Mary Street Waffles (10/10) - Cinnamon waffles, so soft, yet still retained its crunch on the outside - $8!!!! This is super reasonable for such a delicious waffle! - Will definitely come back for this, definitely recommend to others

If you have never been to Mary's Café off of Red River near Saint David's, you need to run not walk!! Their food is absolutely delicious. Made fresh to order and with lots of love.

Oh my gosh can you say YUM! This little hole in the wall place was a random pick after going to the urgent care next door and boy am I glad I stopped by. I got the BAT bagel sandwich and my goodness that thing was SO GOOD. I had to pull over in a random parking lot on my way home so I could demolish half the bagel lol. It was so yummy! I got the build your own waffle as well with chocolate chips and it was delish as well! I already want to go back and get more hehe. I would say the price for the waffle was a little high considering the size, but the taste is so good I would buy more. Service was extremely quick and the guys were super nice. Can't wait to go back

Food: The eggs were slightly overcooked, but they still had great flavor. The chai latte was delicious, and the waffle was decent. Service: There wasn't much service interaction but they were very nice at the cashier's. Ambiance: It can get a bit too loud inside for a relaxed conversation, but chatting is still manageable. It's a nice spot for a date outside of rush hours, though it may not be ideal for groups larger than four. The decor is stylish and adds to the vibe. Price: Reasonable and fair for the quality offered.

Mary's Cafe is a hidden gem in Austin that totally won us over! From the moment we walked in, we loved the fun, quirky 50s vibe. Lots of bright colors, retro decor, and a super welcoming atmosphere. There is a fun gallery wall with famous people and characters named Mary. We ordered a gluten-free bacon, egg & cheese breakfast sandwich, a berry waffle, an iced coffee, and a chai latte. Everything was delicious! The sandwich was hearty and satisfying, the waffle was bursting with fresh berry flavor, and both drinks were spot on especially the chai, which had just the right amount of spice. Service was fast, the prices were very reasonable, and the whole experience was just easy and enjoyable

SUCH a yummy bagel! Great vibes, love the wall art, good & quick service. Great place to go whether you're looking to sit down for a while or just grab and go before class (the proximity to UT campus is a plus!).

Love there bagel sandwiches they're so delicious are always filling. But this time I wanted to try their broccoli and cheddar soup. Didn't like it was different from what I'm use to is was kind of grainy. If you like this kind of soup you might like it but I'm use to broccoli and cheddar with a smooth base with chunks of broccoli and carrot.

A great little place to stop in for an early lunch! We came in to this cute little place looking for late breakfast/early lunch and it hit the spot. Quick service, we were able to get a table amid the cozy little place, and food was great. The matcha latte wasn't too sweet (pretty mild). The sandwiches were very good - I got the honey mustard chicken wrap and my bf got the turkey bacon panini. Both were so good and we'd like to come back to try one of their waffles Friendly people at the counter, and loved the art! Will be back

Great cozy hipster kind of breakfast place in Austin. People lined up on a Sunday to get their favorite food and drink. Staff did a great job getting customers in and out quickly. Great food!

Back again over 10 years later. I ordered the spring deal of the dill tuna salad sandwich on toasted focaccia bread. My mom had the chicken salad sandwich on toasted wheat bread. They were both delicious and tasted freshly made. I'm glad we were able to make it back.

We went early so there was plenty of parking, but it's very limited and restaurant isn't that big either..

Their fried chicken sandwich was audibly crisp with fresh tomato and lettuce that I made two meals out of. I ordered the migas, and the amount of onions in the dish was overwhelming--so much so that it felt like I had ordered a plate of onions rather than migas. The masa cakes were definitely the standout item and were absolutely delicious. However, the rest of the dish fell short. The sauce was extremely rich, making it difficult to enjoy or finish the meal. That said, the restaurant itself is adorable, and our waiter was fantastic. The service and atmosphere were both great. While this breakfast wasn't a hit for me, I'll still return and stick with favorites like the fried green tomatoes and taquito salad, which were excellent during my previous visit.

Their burger is easily one of the best I've had in Austin, especially paired with their thin, crispy fries. It's my go-to order almost every time. One thing I love is that they switch up the steak portion of the menu a few times a year, and it never disappoints. Right now they have the steak au poivre, which is incredible, although I'm still craving their steak frites and hoping it makes a comeback. The escargot and French onion soup are also favorites of mine. At this point, June's has become a staple in our house--usually with a couple of Diet Cokes and either the burger or whatever steak they're featuring. A few of my friends swear by the chicken sandwich (fair warning: it can get a little messy!), the half roasted chicken, and the tuna crudo, so you really can't go wrong no matter what you order. On top of the amazing food, the staff is always incredibly kind and welcoming, which keeps us coming back. I definitely recommend making a reservation since it tends to get pretty busy, especially during peak hours.

It's a small space, with only around eight tables and a tiny kitchen behind the counter. It's a bit hard to locate from outside. There's no big sign on the window indicating the restaurant's name, just a plastic A-frame sign outside the building's doors. When I got there, four of the eight tables were empty but the dirty dishes had not yet been cleared. It took close to 10 minutes for the tables to be bused. Because the kitchen is so small, I'd recommend going up to the counter to order as soon as you get there. I believe you can also place your order online using the QR code on the table, but I didn't try that method. I ordered the lox n found, a toasted croissant roll with smoked salmon, avocado, dill ricotta, arugula, onion, and capers.
