I came from Sacramento to visit the Seafood City here and was very excited to explore the different stores in the vicinity. After a good meal at Chowking I saw this boutique and the scrubs caught my attention but I decided to go inside since they had Filipiniana displayed there. I didn't see the sign about no drinks allowed so I apologized when the elderly ladies told me I'm not allowed to bring it and had my companion hold the drink for me outside. I was looking at alampays and the filipiniana blazers and they suddenly asked me some off putting questions which made my cheerful excitement fade. The first lady was a bit helpful by showing me the different colors that they had then another lady came, she had heavy eyeliner on and I attempted to make small talk even, but they just stood there and gave me a look. I asked to see one that was black that was hung up and she said that I shouldnt try it on if it wont fit me and she wouldnt even show it if I'm not buying it. I told her that it should but she kept on eyeing me like she didn't want to even bother. She then said, "it's $110, you still gonna buy it?" I felt like I was getting body shamed and/or discriminated against, even after I spoke Tagalog to them! I then said okay, I'll just take a photo to show my mom, and then she pointed over to another sign saying no photos, and so I apologized again but at that point the lady just seemed impatiently peeved with me. It's unfortunate because I was actually interested in trying it and possibly buying it but because she assumed I was bigger than the size and couldnt afford it, I just walked away and thanked them. I came in around 1 PM to buy a cap and had a very disappointing experience. The associate and owner were both rude from the moment we entered because they were eating lunch. Even after letting us into the store, they repeatedly complained that they "should have closed the store" while they were eating. While I was trying to look at caps, the associate kept rushing me and made me feel unwelcome. When I finally picked one that was displayed on the top shelf, she told me I "had to buy it" because it was difficult to get it. Throughout the visit, both employees continued making comments about how we were interrupting their meal, including saying, "Hurry up, we are eating, you're disrupting our meal." Customers should not be made to feel like a burden for shopping during normal business hours. The service was unprofessional and uncomfortable, and I would not return based on this experience. If only I have read the reviews here from other customers, I wouldn't have come to the store. Sorry but thats the truth. Either change your attitude or close down your store. read more

Walking in, a frustrated lady approaches me and asks if i need help. I tell her Im looking for a Barong (a formal Filipino cultural shirt). She tells me that she is just the assistant, that the owner will be back from the bathroom, and not to touch anything because the owner will get angry. If I could give zero stars, I would. My mother-in-law and I visited this store to inquire about a barong dress. While we were browsing, the saleslady abruptly told us that taking pictures was not allowed -- which we respected. One barong dress caught our eye, so I asked for the price. My mother-in-law, being honest, mentioned that we would come back once we had enough money. The saleslady coldly replied, "Come back when you already have enough money." We tried to brush it off with a laugh and continued to look around. Every time we stopped and checked a dress -- without even touching it -- she would say things like, "That won't fit on you." I really enjoy this boutique, it's a fairly small space but there's a really nice selection to choose from. Lots of Filipino styled dresses for any event. They have barongs, traditional Filipino dresses and they offer them in in adult sizes and some kid sizes. They have really cute keychains, accessories, and religious decor. The women don't follow you around anymore and they offer help when you walk in but if u say no they don't follow. 10/10, always looks forward to going in when I plan on going to seafood city read more

I came here with my MIL, my 5 year old and my 3 year old. They had clothes and toys displayed outside. My kids were excited to see the toys and was even asking if i can buy them toys.
