I came in around 1 PM to buy a cap and had a very disappointing experience. The associate and owner were both rude from the moment we entered because they were eating lunch. Even after letting us into the store, they repeatedly complained that they "should have closed the store" while they were eating. While I was trying to look at caps, the associate kept rushing me and made me feel unwelcome. When I finally picked one that was displayed on the top shelf, she told me I "had to buy it" because it was difficult to get it. Throughout the visit, both employees continued making comments about how we were interrupting their meal, including saying, "Hurry up, we are eating, you're disrupting our meal." Customers should not be made to feel like a burden for shopping during normal business hours. The service was unprofessional and uncomfortable, and I would not return based on this experience. Walking in, a frustrated lady approaches me and asks if i need help. I tell her Im looking for a Barong (a formal Filipino cultural shirt). She tells me that she is just the assistant, that the owner will be back from the bathroom, and not to touch anything because the owner will get angry. While we were browsing, the saleslady abruptly told us that taking pictures was not allowed -- which we respected. One barong dress caught our eye, so I asked for the price. My mother-in-law, being honest, mentioned that we would come back once we had enough money. The saleslady coldly replied, "Come back when you already have enough money." I think the owner of the store really has an emotional attachment to her barongs, because she doesn't want customers to touch them, take photos of them, or try them on. We were ready to buy one, we just needed to see if it fits. We started out with one sales lady, and she was super helpful, but then the owner's Scooby sense realized we had the audacity of trying to buy one! she asked me when I needed the barong, I said for an event in October. I really enjoy this boutique, it's a fairly small space but there's a really nice selection to choose from. Lots of Filipino styled dresses for any event. They have barongs, traditional Filipino dresses and they offer them in in adult sizes and some kid sizes. They have really cute keychains, accessories, and religious decor. The women don't follow you around anymore and they offer help when you walk in but if u say no they don't follow. 10/10, always looks forward to going in when I plan on going to seafood city read more
