Picked up some socks, a hat and some cool slippers. I needed socks mainly and came across some Sketchers that are similar to Crocs. They have fur on the inside soul and no large holes for ventability. However, they do have small vent holes around the perimeter of the upper soul which is nice. They have a low key cool factor about them. Glad I found them. I needed new slippers to wear around the house since my Adidas Superstar slips ons were becoming flimsy and worn out. You know what is really unfortunate is when you have a customer bathroom and it's broke Down and they don't have the heart to let a 4 year old girl go to the employee bathroom we had to hurry up and run out the front door to the nearest bathroom at McDonald's that took us 10 mins walking to get too and my baby almost peed her pants. It's just crazy how unthoughtful this place this , to not let a baby use the bathroom so upsetting and also the sitting room was closed at 7pm on a Thursday night , there was quite a few furious woman who really wanted to try on clothes How can you have a bathroom under maintence every time I come into this store which is 1x every 3 months. I'm a grown woman, but yes I shop in the Petites and Juniors section sometimes, due to my size. It was cool seeing a lot of Betty Boop clothing designs and prints, though I wasn't a fan of the styles. Overall the selection sucked at the store, but I did find a few items I liked (under $10 each), including some really cute shorts. And at least service was fast at the register, which is rare at Ross stores. read more

This Ross opens pretty late for a clothing store! This store get some pretty good things. Clearance section is also pretty good if you come to the right time! Also a big plus to be is that it is next to the dollar tree so it make it a fun trip for me to visit both stores! Also lately they have been getting some good sports attire... just got to come often when new items come in! read more

I don't usually leave reviews, especially negative ones, but my experience at this ross location here tonight was atrocious. I shop here all the time, as I only live a few minutes away, but I have never felt so offended and violated. I'm going on a camping trip and decided to come in here to purchase some winter wear and hiking gear. I have to come in the evenings as i work during the day, like most people. I'm typically masked, as I work in a hospital and don't want anyone to get sick (including myself). I avoided getting a cart as I was really only interested in getting hiking boots and potentially a jacket and pants. (I have to add that I take public transportation and ride a scooter), which I brought in with me. I didn't think anything of it, as I said hello to the security (loss prevention) at the door. I begin my shopping, starting at the shoes in the men's section. I'm immediately followed by one other loss prevention officer as I'm browsing in one of the aisles. Again, I didn't think anything of it at the time until I saw him again within the minute. I'm looking at pants, jackets, and shoes, all while texting my partner to see what they think of my findings. I look up to see not only the first lost prevention officer but a second standing down one of the aisles that I'm browsing. Extremely uncomfortable experience, and all because I'm bundled up and have my scooter in the store. It didn't bother me much at the time, I honestly found it quite amusing. Until I decided to look at one of the watches near the front entrance. I asked an associate, and they were hesitant to show me the watch, but ultimately obliged. I looked at the watch, had a nice conversation with them, then was immediately intercepted by the manager Carlos. Mind you, security was standing between me and the door the entire time, treating me like a criminal. After looking at the watch, the manager Carlos approaches me and asks if I'm ready to check out. I told him I was and immediately places me in front of the line (cutting about 6 people in line at the time), in order for me to pay for my items. I felt like I was discriminated against by the manager Carlos and his team, all because of my scooter and a mask. I feel like Carlos is ill equipped for this position and his team is overly paranoid. Yesterday I went to return some items and I purchased others. The cashier assoc 223200 was very rude. Zero cordiality, impolite...what I observe while I was waiting at the return line, she was not rude with some "type of customers", she was laughing in her own language with other two customers and looks like they were saying something about someone who was in the line. (Hope was not about me) probably in the video cameras you can check it out!. I found it very disrespectful to do that. She never said hello or thank you. Looks like she was very unhappy person working at Ross. In the other hand the security who welcomed you, she was greeting customers in a very nice way. I love a Ross and with COVID, it's a little harder to peruse aisles without wondering if people are being safe. But last time I went, it was fine. Not that many people. Really hit or miss on finding what you need or getting a deal, but when you find it, it's great. Located in the McCarthy Ranch area. Hey Ross, I know TJ Maxx can be competition, and let me tell you why. I came by your McCarthy ranch location in Milpitas and I knew what I need to buy. I should've grabbed a cart, but for my personal choice I didn't want to fill a cart, bur my hands to avoid OVER BUYING. ANYHOO, grabbed some items and headed to the surprisingly short line. There were 4 people in front of me who were assisted one after the other by your employee Atia. There was another line with 1 person for returns. I'm next and now I've been standing there for about 5 to 7 minutes give or take. Instead if helping (me) the one person in line, she takes that one person waiting in returns. Who's been waiting less than I have. Asia says I can help you here, and now there 2 cashiers helping the return line. Now, I don't like shopping at Ross BECAUSE of the lack of customer service. I asked Atia, I've been waiting and I don't understand why you would help someone in "returns" when you already have a line for returns. Atia then says, we'll I helped 2 people on front of you now I have to help returns. Instead of apologizing and refusing to help me, I really felt discriminated by this employee because I'm asian and not wearing a mask? Either way, I was patient and expressed the dissatisfaction in customer service of not wanting to be helped. I can't give zero stars, but since there's 1 star, it's for the Filipino lady who helped me, who was supposed to be processing returns, helped me instead. Never thought I would post a Ross review, but here we are, only because the cashier was rude and very inconsiderate. Entered the store today around 9pm, I wanted to return an unused boxed item. The cashier scanned and said it was past 30 days so she could not accept the return even with the receipt present. I asked her why not? She said it's been 40 days, refused to process the return and asked if "I am able to count?" I replied yes, and that I can read too. Under the store policy: "Merchandise returns with a receipt older than 30 days will be exchanged or credited with store credit." - I've attached a photo of Ross return policy for your viewing in case you face an issue like mine. Long overdue review - ( Friday 3 weeks ago) before you check/browse/select clothes especially end of the day. Check dressing room first if it's open. This is probably the most unprofessional Ross I've ever been to. I've been here three times this month to purchase and return items. Each and every time I'm here I see employees ringing up one another. I understand they were all here for a reason but when the employees see that the lines are 10-20 people deep, you'd think they would prioritize the customers, but they do not. Another very unprofessional thing I'm witnessing as I'm standing here is an employee on the other side of the register using the register with two other employees behind the register. That to me is just a big no no, and I've worked in retail. None of the three employees thanked anyone waiting in line for their patience. Even worse, scolded on a customer for moving forward without being told, embarrassing the customers in front of the 10+ people all staring at the employees to be rung up. I love Ross and enjoy seeing the great deals that we have but with everything going on, stores closing and people afraid of going in stores and shopping online, one would think that management would give a bigger hoorah for the customers in the store. Yes, it's Ross the budget store and yup I went back and bought that Micheal Kors pink wallet for myself and the price dropped to 43.00 bucks and so I don't feel so guilty about it. LOL I have to say this store is a bit bigger than the Ross stores near my house and better stocked. The employees are very friendly here and I can't thank them enough for holding this wallet for me till I got off of work. I had to do one of those if it is still there it was meant for me things. I am unsure of the bad reviews this place received they really should come to the Ross at the Fremont Hub it always looks like a bomb went off in there but there are so many people shopping here that if you don't get it trust me it will be gone. Also, I found out that in my other reviews they state that you would have to go back to the original store you purchased from in order to return an item but this store informed me that, that was not the case and I really appreciate that type of honest customer service. The choices for clothing is much better here and again it is definitely more organized at this store and it is better stocked so there is that much more choices and I love that it is right next to a Dollar Tree store as well as many restaurants and even a Walmart. The changing rooms are very clean and I found many items here that I don't see at other stores but what impressed me most was that the clearance racks was very organized and so were the household items too. If you are a bargain hunter like me but would like to find some nice higher end items without paying the high prices that then this is the place for you. I won't lie this pink wallet still sells for 178.00 on the Michael Kors website and I also, saw this in Macys for about 125.00 and when I originally saw it at Ross is was selling for 79.99. I don't usually bother with reviews for places like Ross, because those that shop at Ross don't necessarily need or read these reviews. I Had to leave this review/rant today, however, because of the Exceptionally Rude service I got from Trina at this location. The woman spent a good amount of time just chatting up a couple at the register about kids and parties even after she was done with their transaction. She took her sweet time scanning their items and chatting when she was the only cashier there and there were already 2 customers waiting; me for a return/exchange, and 1 other customer for a purchase. Trina glanced at both of us mid-conversation and nonchalantly continued chatting with the customers at the register. At some point, the lines started getting longer, and people were just standing there waiting for her tête-à-tête to be over so that they could pay for their items and get out of there, while Trina paid them no mind. The kicker: As the aforementioned customers are walking away from her register, She calls them back to ask them if they are sure they want to keep an item they had already paid for!!! She chats with them some more and recommends that they return the item. (I heard her mention "Walmart", but the rest of what she said wasn't exactly clear.) The customers Finally leave and Trina calls the next customer after taking a glance at me standing in the exchange/returns line. Then she calls the next purchase, when she Knew that I was there before all those people. She calls a third person in the purchase line, and I say "Excuse me" to let her know that I'm waiting as well, and she rudely cuts me off before I can finish my sentence, to say, "I'll get to you when I'm done with this guy", with the nastiest of attitudes. She was rude throughout the transaction, with her tone, the way she sighed and rolled her eyes, and with the way she grabbed the items from me and rang them up and put them away, and just seemed all-around irritated. I get that she may not have wanted to say "sorry for the wait", or "hello, or "thank you for waiting", but I am still a paying customer. Being polite or courteous is not the hardest thing to do, especially when you are getting paid to do it. Needless to say, I decided that I wasn't going to use my return credit to purchase anything there. I won't be contributing to Trina's paycheck going forward, because I'm done with Ross. I have never expected a whole lot from Ross, but this was just beyond crappy customer service, and it failed the already low bar I had set for them. TJ Maxx and Marshall's work a little harder by appointing courteous employees and maintaining clean stores, and that's why they will get my money. Ross can thank Trina for that. Hell, maybe I'll even check out Walmart while I'm at it. read more

I'm standing in the returns line with another woman. We'd been standing in line for 10 minutes. An employee comes up to the security guy who's 20 feet away from us, and doing nothing but standing there. She has a conversation with him for a few minutes and when there's a lull, I asked if they could get someone to help us. She said she was off the clock, but that the security guy could call someone for us. While buying things be careful. Be clear about the return policies at the counter. Make sure the item you are buying is not having any manufactural defect. This Ross staff is very rude and non cooperative. Manager, Isabel, is a bad manager and highly inconsiderate. She is having terrible attitude. Even if it's their mistake they won't accept it and will not cooperate. If they change the current staff , that indian girl at the counter and manager Isabel then this ross branch is good. I love this Ross when it comes to finding boots, shoes and heels. Clothes is a hit and miss. Some days they'll have a crap load of clothes, other days nothing. The line situation sucks though. One line with no clear indication if where it starts or where to continue the line. This is a really busy Ross in the McCarthy Ranch Shopping Center next to a Dollar Tree. It's a very spacious store, but also unorganized. Throughout parts of the store, you could see the messy unorganized shelves and floors. There were products and stuff around the floors on various asles. The selection here is also limited because it's a popular store, so shelves are not always filled. The lines are extremely long here. There were only like 3 cashiers open, and the lines were really long, even the customer service line was extremely long for returns. This was a Sunday afternoon and only 3 lines were open, what's wrong with that picture huh? There's plenty of shopping baskets to use throughout the store. Parking is easy as well because it's a big shopping center with plenty of parking spaces. read more

I agree with my fellow Yelpers...Ross is a place that you really don't want to admit that you shop at. In passing conversation, you dismiss and maybe even bash Ross. ...But on that one chance moment you walk into Ross and find something really GREAT, you'll find yourself kinda sorta wanting to go into the store to gamble your time in hopes of finding another little treasure on MULTIPLE occasions. I'll admit, Ross is really hit or miss and some days you'll walk out thinking, "GAH, ROSS REALLY DOES SUCK." Yes, sometimes the clothes have holes or stains or buttons missing, but I don't really come to Ross for the clothes. I go for the shoes, accessories, and household items. Many Yelpers have said that this Ross in particular has a horrible selection and they do...for clothes. But they have a great selection of home decor, household items (pots, pans, cooking utensils, etc.), accessories (great scarves, boots, and clutches!). Maybe I'm just riding the wave of the bargain hunting high that I just received from getting some REALLY great things at Ross, but this place isn't a total and COMPLETE crapshoot. BUT YES. WAITING IN LINE HERE IS HORRIBLE. Shooooot, might as well come to Ross with a friend and have them wait in line while you shop. This Ross is such a disgrace , my family and I were kicked out today because we had our service dog . A service dog is allowed everywhere! The rude manager didn't even want to hear it from us she said you have to leave . The ADA prohibits discrimination on the basis of disability in employment, state and local government, public accommodations, commercial facilities, transportation, and telecommunications. The manager brittany is very unprofessional and could use some coaching on how to run a store successfully/smile. I had to return shirts that did not fit (with receipt) and the cashier Ferdoushi was extremely rude. I usually come in when I have time to kill and look for things for the house. Customer service is poor and the store could be more organized. The employees checking out usually rush the transaction with no greeting or eye contact. A simple, "Thank you for your patience/waiting," would be nice. You take your own receipt at the end of the transaction and they're already calling up the next customer. I once witnessed a customer with a problem and the manager was called over. It was a young woman who was very unprofessional. She wasn't kind or patient with the customer as she explained the store policy. She just kept telling her no. Not a good look in front of a long line of customers waiting. The security or loss prevention representative that stands at the front usually greets me and I am grateful that there is a separate line for returns. Sometimes I find some really great things for home organization and the kitchen, but I feel the selection is far better at TJ Maxx. The low prices are the reason I return, but I'd probably come in more often if the employees were more welcoming. read more
