Either they were huge, expensive-"corporate"-feeling marinas which had good amenities etc, or they were dumpy boat yards full of old, neglected boats. Then I came upon Oak Grove. It's in a perfect location for boating the South River. I was greeted by the owner when I went to inquire about pricing. He was very laid back and friendly and quoted very reasonable rates for the various options. Boatel, Wet Slips and lift Slips. The marina has been family owned for a long time and it shows. The owner and staff have been extremely patient with my questions. What was important to me in a Marina? A great location easy to get to on/off route 50, plenty of stores, restaurants in the area, friendly, chill staff, and a mechanic on site. They had all that. Edgewater is a great small town next door to Annapolis with everything you could need. You can be at several great little restaurants/tiki bars on the water in minutes. When I upgraded my boat this season, the marina sold me on a lift slip at a reasonable rate. I told them when the new boat would be arriving and they had the slip ready to go and adjusted as promised. When selling my old boat, they even agreed to allow me to keep it in a wet slip temporarily for sea trials. This was generous and much appreciated. I sold the old boat quickly thanks to the marina's flexibility. The marina has been gradually updating some of it's piers and keeps everything well maintained. Oak Grove is situated facing the river at sunset which blows me away on a regular basis. It has clean bathrooms, ice for purchase on site, and a fuel dock and pump-out with decent prices. Everything needed for boating. It doesn't have a swimming pool, spa, etc. If I want a load of amenities, I'll go to a resort. I go here so I can get the boat in the water fast and without hassle. It's nice knowing I can deal with any issues immediately thanks to the responsive, easy-going staff.

As a seasoned boater it is my advise to stay away from this marina. The docks are falling…read moreapart,missing boards, splintered etc. Furthermore, the slips are small with poor hardware or cleats for securing boat. Staff are generally nice but marina is very run down.

All we have to do to get our boat in the water is choose the time we're coming through the app and it's out on the dock. They made it so easy. Bert Jabin's Yacht Yard is organized and clean. The bathhouse near the docks is spotless and has great amenities. They offer laundry facilities, showers, and toilets. Their bathrooms are the cleanest bathrooms I've ever been to. Every time I go, someone is either cleaning them, or has just cleaned them. The only small complaint my father had was he wished they were opened just a little later. The views along the pier are stunning. All the sailboats are so picturesque. It's always a great feeling to walk onto a boat from Bert Jabin's.

Another time, during a haul out, the lift crew helped us into the sling safely. They are phenomenal. We did have a communication problem with services. She dropped the ball in reserving a wax and buff job before we were launched. Again, Scott stepped up and provided us two nights on a slip because of her error. However, I'd rather have our hulls waxed. The grounds are like a park. Just beautiful. We will return.

Right off the bat, was extremely impressed with the customer service he provided. Very detailed and knowledgeable and was very welcoming! Being a "rookie driver", Jordan even came out to my boat to give great tips. The following day, I met Mike. Also very welcoming. I explained my concern over being new to boating and not wanting to destroy anyone's property. I was looking for an easier in, easier out slip and Mike helped me out tremendously! New slip with real peace of mind! Mike even offered to assist me in taking items from my car to the boat but Nabbs provides these nice carriers that simplifies the process. Beautiful marina next to a great restaurant. Thank God I didn't end up "elsewhere"!

The Dockmaster Luke was very friendly and answered all my questions. Even though they didn't have a slip available for my 2015 Prestige 55 OS. I would recommend this marina to anyone, the floating docks and multiple bathrooms are a plus. Luke was very helpful and I couldn't have asked for a friendlier face when i walked in. The restaurant next door, "The Broken Oar" has great drinks at a great rate.

Well kept full-service marina with all the amenities! We…read morestayed here overnight twice over the summer, using Dockwa for our reservations. These are fixed, not floating piers, but tides are minimal. The pier head where we stayed (dock E) and the adjacent fuel pier head can be exposed to wind and some waves if coming from the southeast, but the waves are knocked down a bit by flats. The docks are in good repair, and the grounds are immaculate. We took advantage of the free-access propane grills up on shore for a nice picnic. There's a West Marine just a short walk away. The marina has a pool, poolside bar, ice makers, laundry, and more. Their pump-out is also free. Docking here was slightly pricy, but well worth it at a location central to the Chesapeake between two 8-hour sails, and not at all out of line for the area and quality of facilities.

Herrington Harbour North Marina is a site to behold. This entire location is kept pristine. The…read moregrounds are well kept and the main building is immaculate. The restrooms are not only clean and well stocked, but they also have showers. Every inch of the docks are impeccable and every vessel, you could see, are well maintained. The reason for this visit was to assist with returning a family member's 47 foot sailboat back up to the Jersey shore. I cannot commend Herrington Harbour North enough on their professionalism and attention to detail with every aspect of this location. The customers of this harbour are privileged, well supported, and I'm certain....appreciative.
