Great mall! However, the only thing that prevents this mall from getting a higher star ranking for me was parking. The parking is awful! This is a facility that needs to have large parking structures around it to accommodate demand. When it takes 20 minutes to locate ANY open parking space (and that after following a patron walking back to their car and taking their space as soon as they vacated it), you have major parking problems and need to improve your parking situation. And for a shopping facility, parking should be the easiest part of the experience for a facility with somewhat poor access from public transportation, because if you can't park the car, you can't shop there and spend money there. read more

I'm a fan of this mall! It's probably because it reminded me of another mall I frequently shop at back home. Or perhaps it's because I was able to find something to buy in all the stores I went too...which is good for this review. But not so for my wallet. Haha! Either way I loved the variety of stores and huge sales! Every new neighborhood brings a new set of stores and deals. Not to mention there's a few other perks like a nice movie theater, a good variety of options in the food court and a medieval theatre attached. What more could you ask for? Coming from Philadelphia I am familiar with the "Mills" style malls. I was pleasantly surprised by the Arundel Mills mall, as it is far less ghetto than my Franklin Mills. Arundel Mills is basically a gigantic outlet mall. I especially loved the Ann Taylor, Loft and Victoria's Secret. I got in a LOT of walking in this mall, as it is huge. Not a bad way to spend a few evenings and a few hundred dollars while in an unfamiliar town on business! They do have a lot of random additions I have never seen at any other mall before...a medieval themed restaurant, giant plastic hamster balls in a pool you can pay to roll around in, a movie theater built like the pyramids, etc. But all in all a nice spot. read more

Great selection of stores, which are stocked well, and the mall itself is fairly clean. I wish the bathrooms smelled better, but they seem to be otherwise maintained. Worst thing about this place (for me at least) is walking though the mall entrance by the movie theater. They placed new benches replete with ashtrays between each of the columns. As such, there's normally smoke hovering around the area from patrons enjoying cigarettes right outside of the mall. Not that I have anything against smoking or smokers, just that my olfactory senses are strong while my lungs are comparatively weak. There's also no way to avoid it besides holding your breath for the entire distance or using another entrance. Unfortunately, I'm usually at this mall specifically to go to the theater, and other entrances are at an inconvenient distance. So, I'll hold my breath... But seriously...who on Earth thought this design was a good idea??? I thought there was an ordinance for this kind of thing, but maybe not :( Why yes, Arundel Mills. I'd just love to exercise in your mall (there are signs right inside for their exercise program) just to walk outside and subject myself to thoughtfully placed secondhand smoke. Don't mind me being asthmatic or anything. It's good mall overall, really, but I find myself wishing every single time since the installation that they'd have had the foresight to have left at least one side of the entrance smoker-bench free. Or maybe that they had placed it further out, where smoke wouldn't hover so strongly in the corner of the building. read more

While I like Arundel Mills as a mall I wouldn't really call it an outlet mall.. Most of the stores are regularly priced and at outlet malls I expect more of the designer brand outlets. I will still shop here because there is a decent selection of stores but I will drive further out for my outlet experience.. read more

3.5 stars I have a love/hate relationship with obscenely huge shopping malls. I love the variety they offer, but hate admitting to being one of the people who shop at them. Noon can be a frustrating time to get here, as there are so many restaurants surrounding the mall that traffic was quite insane with the many people trying to get their McDonald's or TGIFriday's or whatever fix. Once in the mall, however, it turned out that Veterans Day was a good day to shop - some decent sales, and not many shoppers. Be forewarned that if you need a Starbucks hit in the afternoon, you'll be waiting in a long line, as it seems this mall has only one Starbucks (and I didn't even see any other coffee places at all). read more

There are some exceptional merchants in this mall. Was just there yesterday with my daughter and we checked out the new Steve Madden store! Not all stores offer outlet pricing - good prices can be found at Off Saks, Neiman Marcus, Burlington Coat Factory, TJMaxx! Most of the other stores offer fair pricing. Beware of the Fragrance Stores - there are about 6. You should not purchase anything here unless you google the fragrance online first. My son was sold a $20 bottle of cologne for $69 - a $20 discount off it's marked $89 price (some outlet pricing!). On the bright side - there's a nice food court, a great selection of stores, Medieval times, movies, some decent restaurants and Dave & Busters. You can easily spend an entire day in this mall. Which also means, do not take with you soldiers who cannot be depended on. Do not bring the boyfriend/husband who will get tired after 1 hour, do not bring the indecisive friend, do not bring a friend who cannot appreciate your knowledge of designers. When I am in the mall, my first stops are Off 5th (the Saks Fifth Avenue outlet) and Last Call (the Neiman Marcus outlet). You will not find things every time, but when you do, you just want to jump up and down you are so happy. Come on Chie Mihara platforms $40, TSE cashmere sweater $90, Marni jacket $100. LOOOOOVVEEEEE this outlet mall! Yes, it's a very painful process trying to find parking (come with patience), it will take you a very long time unless you get lucky. Yes, alot of people come here, especially with the casinos. It is a total mess of people, chaotic, crazy and a clusterfudge. Tons of stores, tons of sales and tons of restaurants! I rememeber coming here the weekend it opened and it was barely busy and I thought it was so cool with the movie theatre and dave and busters. The casinos are great, a horrible feeling to lose all your money but it's all for fun. If you think the mall is crowded, the casinos will drive you nuts. But for a girl who loves clothing and sales, I enjoy the shopping here. I have to sacrifice being annoyed with parking and people to find good stuff, but I don't mind. read more

Came here to pick up my free offer at a store located here. In addition to the movie theater, casino near by, the opportunity to walk for exercise around the place and only a FEW of the stores located here, l could take it or leave it. l used to really enjoy Arundel Mills, but l am just not that into it anymore. Even after the addition of Coach and Michael Kors outlet stores, l am still not that excited. There is plenty of parking (if you go early in the day). Sometimes I get nervous coming here cause of crowd it brings. Just being honest. But this is my go to place for Christmas shopping and all my favorite stores under one roof. Went here just to walk around and go wherever my heart desired. Lol ended up going to Burlington coat factory and buying and evening gown for 30 bucks. What a steal. Other then the distance from my home, this has got to be one of my favorite malls. And it gets really busy during the holidays so plan accordingly. read more

PROS: 1) Bass Pro Shop: Literally one of the only reasons I ever come here. The store is huge and has everything you will need for hunting, fishing, and feeling like you can be an outdoorsman/woman even when you live in Baltimore City. 2) Egyptian Movie Theatre: Love this theatre! They have so many computerized kiosks for you to get tickets, they always have so many movies showing, and they always have a variety of times. Also, they have so many different soda machines and the popcorn is never over salted. 3) Outlet Heaven: It seems like about half the stores here are outlets, so if you are looking for a deal on major brands, this is the place to go! 4) Casino: I don't know if this is definitely a pro, but if you aren't sick of spending all your money shopping or think you can make some of that money back, the casino is right next to the mall! CONS: 1) Layout: This place is SO CONFUSING and I am always lost. If I was alone, I would probably never make it out of there. 2) Food Court: There are only a handful of options and the last time I was there, half the food court was shut down so we were left with a salad place, two Asian food places (that were essentially the same), and subway. 3) Parking: On the weekends, parking here is a real nightmare. It seems like you always have to park extremely far from the one store you actually need to go to and as soon as you walk to your car, just know that some other car will be following you to poach your spot. read more

When we lived in Severn, you can bet you would find me at Arundel Mills on a weekly basis. It was worse when my husband was deployed! Anyways, when we do move back there, I'm begging my husband to buy us a house nearby Arundel Mills, crazy but true! Hanover, Severn, Odenton, Columbia, I don't care as long as we are close to that mall. I also like walking in there because it's indoor and I love me some indoor outlet malls! They have everything there. Other than that, I would drive to the Mall in Columbia to get my bebe fix. I do have to say that the best mall in the tri state area is Tyson's Corner. Primarily concerned with clothing and shoes, I found the outlets for the retail stores/brands [Calvin Klein, Kenneth Cole, Banana Republic, JCrew, Aldo, etc] to have reasonable prices but particularly low-quality apparel with nothing worth purchasing. The Fossil/Coach outlets are ideal for decent deals [though not steals] on bags. The rest is just stuff you can find anywhere with a generic food court, a Best Buy, a Marshalls etc. read more

Lots of stores, Bass Pro Shop for me, pretty much everything else for the wife and our girls. They do have some cool stuff, nice restaurants, the casino, the Midevil Times, and there are shops like IKEA and COSTCO nearby. If you just like to people watch, this place is the United Nations of people watching. You've never seen so many parents arguing with their kids in so many different languages in any one place. Within the past years (since 2006) the mall has gone downhill. I remember when the people there would act like humans, and not like monsters. The shops were better back then as well, and Dave & Buster's was cleaned freqyently, so was the entire mall. The mall began to decline in 2012, when more and more teenagers started to come there. And now it is just a shadow of its former self. They took out one of the beat restayrants there (Remomo's) and replaced it with something I'd never even hears of before. I loved going to the movie theater, it was always cold and I adored the Egyptian themes. Yet, now, the floors had popcorn spilled everywhere, one slurpee was spilled, and the air conditoner wasn't working properly. Some of the people who come there now are loud, annoying, and uncivilized. A fight almost broke out on two different occasions, in the same day! It's almost always overcrowded, except when it's near closing and the only place open is Dave & Buster's. I can and will hang onto my memories of this place, even though I know all places changes, but my memories are where the best of times are. read more

There is just 3 vacate spots, so their is many stores to shop in. The parking was fine on fri but on sat there was no spots that we parked at a hotel. It the the biggest & BEST mall in MD. I been in. I have a love/hate relationship with Arundel Mills. Frankly, I feel that the mall is unnecessarily big...or maybe it's just me. There are a lot of stores that always make me wonder how they stay in business... just fluff stores. Anywho's the mall is very convenient and since it's so big, it's good for walking around and getting a few laps in when I need to keep my number of daily steps up to par. My friend and I will also visit the mall every once in a while to do some people watching. I guess I just feel "enh" about Arundel. It's always crowded and the parking sucks! The addition of the casino right in the parking lot didn't do any favors either. I go here for specific stores, but I don't do a lot of dilly dallying. Plus, I have heard a few times that visits during peak shopping hours tends to bring out robbers and unsavories. Well, I can say that there is no shortage of security. I always see them riding around on their segways (texting while doing so lol!!) so that makes me feel 'safer.' ha! read more

I do not like malls much mainly because they make me sleepy. I am serious. Recycled mall air makes me want to take a nap. That being said... this a great place to hide from the cold days of winter. It is a good walk for sure even if you don't plan on spending any money. My daughter loves to come here to watch the train go by, jump on the interactive light floor by the movie theater or run up and down ramps (she is easily amused that one). Weekends are insane here, especially if it is miserable outside. You may have to park quite far away. read more

This mall is just ok!! It is nice and big with some great retailers and great deals! After all, it is an outlet mall! I've never had a problem here! Although, now that the Casino is here, it makes finding parking a hassle at times!! But other than that, it is just ok! However, the Casino has brought better retailers and better dining options! I like this outlet mall... It has most of the stores I like. The thing is, they should put security cameras and/or heighten anti-theft procedures. The place appears friendly and safe. But when you see petty things happen, you kinda feel unsafe. Yesterday when I was shopping with my family, I saw 2 ladies stealing stacks of Polos and t-shirts at express like it was nothing. At first I thought they were employees coz one of the lady looter was talking to one of the employee that helped us; while the other lady looter keeps saying excuse me and making me move over as if she was fixing the clothes. (I thought to myself...what a rude employee they have). When the other lady looter came over, they both quickly stuffed an H&M bag and left the store. I told one of employee, but it was too late. Crazy amount of stores and most insane parking I can remember. Took me 10 minutes of driving around to find a spot. Once inside, this place is huuuuuuuge. Apparently they've got it broken down into "neighborhoods" which is really quite clever. Clean, organized and a wide arrangement of stores, from regular retail to outlets. I went to this mall yesterday and let me tell you I was AMAZED. I'm a Jersey girl, so trust me when I say I KNOW malls. I came to this mall because I needed something to do for the entire day and this place doesn't disappoint. They have a medieval times, movie theater, casino, SEVERAL restaurants (I can't wait for Zinburger to be built), and some amazing stores. Some of them are outlets and some of them are regular stores. I was amazed by the consistent cleanliness of EVERY store. Each store we went to we were helped by a store associate within minutes (which is amazing bc in Jersey they do all that they can to avoid you). I want to come back to this fantastic place and spend another day here. I can't wait to visit Bowie! read more

If you're new to Fort Meade. This would be the closest mall to you. They have outlet shops, an awesome theater, and lots of distance for all you mall walkers. The shop I visit most would be the hair/wig place, they have my shampoo (normally buy at a salon), and cheap hair accessories. I'm more in love with the theater. There's 24 screens and if the movie is new, it usually plays like every hour. Good mall for a nice stroll. read more

I like Arundel Mills. I know this place gets a bad rap and for some legitimate reasons but they have some nice stores and some good deals. So, for that reason, I like it. There is definitely one side of the mall that has better stores than the other and you can even tell this by the clientele hanging around each side. Make sure to bring your walking shoes because the layout of this place is horrible! You will be getting your daily exercise here. It gets crowded here too so try to avoid weekends. Parking can get pretty bad here so make sure you remember where you park because I have been left wandering the parking lot for 15 minutes wondering if it got stolen or I'm just an idiot. It was the latter... You can also park in the casino parking lot. read more

If you come on a Saturday be prepared to search for parking. It takes forever. On a nicer note this mall is huge and has tons of stores, places to eat, entertainment (Dave & Buster, movie theater, casino & Medieval Times). So park your car and be prepare to stay a long time so it makes it less painless read more

So this mall is nice. Specially for me, Growing up in CALIFORNIA and Living from GUAM - HAWAII - CALIFORNIA - ITALY - LONDON - JAPAN - VIRGINIA soon to be in DC. All i can say is that this mall tops all the malls they have here in VIRGINIA. I mean real talk. OK so i give this place 4stars simply because of +1star All my stores are in this mall, i mean not just my stores but also my gf stores. The vibe that i got once i walked in was like man i feel like i was back home CALIFORNIA that is. specially when we passed by Dave and Busters. There food court is also in a ok size. But i don't like the food selections simply because all the malls i have been to have the same selections. +1stars i love the Medieval Times theme, it was hella out of the ordinary. +2stars for the roman Greek theme movie place.
