Apricot Delight
Sophia S.

We enjoyed the food at this newer restaurant. The Veg Samosas come out first and they perfectly crispy and had a generous amount of filling. The Veg Momos came out after and were generously filled but were cold on the inside. The garlic naan came out at the same time as the rice and Chicken Tikka Masala and all of this dishes were very good. If you are not a fan of a super amount of garlic, ask them to lighten it a little for the garlic naan. We also ordered Biryani and my boyfriend was able to take leftovers and eat it for three meals. He also enjoyed the Bluemoon mocktail. It is great for those who like sweater drinks. The apricot delight was very delicious and not overly sweet. The service was great in the beginning- we got sat and place our order right away. The food came out quickly and they continued to refill our waters. We also were asked if we wanted boxes and they gave us a bag since they noticed we had multiple. The staff were all very kind. The ambiance is more of a sit down casual. They had nice place mats and it was not super crowded. It was comfortable and very way to park. Overall, we enjoyed our experience and the service. I would just pass on the Veg Momos next time.

Exterior sign...I believe they already replaced this with a permanent sign

I'm always down for trying a new Indian restaurant! This one touts Fresh Indian and Indo-Chinese Fusion with Bold Flavors. Sounds perfect to me! The exterior signage was hard to see as we came here at night time, but driving by after our dining experience but before writing this review, it looks like they have a new permanent sign on their exterior! That's always a good sign that they intend to be around for much longer. The interior was clean and spacious with a mix of tables and booths. The booths were comfortable and large enough to fit my tall family which isn't always the case these days. Our server was friendly and gave us a rundown of the menu and their favorite dishes. I got the Tom Yum soup and red curry chicken. My son also got the red curry and my wife had the butter masala. I noticed they didn't have lamb as a protein option...just chicken, veggie and paneer for the curries. The curry had a good spice and heat balance to give my mouth a little flavor dance without flashing the warning signs my stomach may be fighting a fire. The curry is accompanied by basmati rice, which I ran out of about halfway through my curry. My curry also had too much chicken! I know that's a strange complaint but next time I may go with a veggie curry. We also shared buttered and garlic naan. My son gobbled up so much there was naan left (none left...dad joke). The strangest moment of the night is I paid our server with my credit card - tapped it on the handheld card reader and then she immediately walked away. We waited about 5 minutes and thought it was strange I didn't get to select a tip amount or finish the transaction. I found the server and asked her and she said she didn't apply a tip and we were 'good to go'. Thus we had to use the cash on us and leave it at the table. I definitely look forward to coming back and trying new dishes- veggie biryani, red or green tandoori chicken, or a different curry. I also would like to sample the chicken lollipop and butter chili garlic shrimp appetizers. Likely will increase my rating to 5* if the food remains excellent and we don't have an awkward bill-paying moment.

Chicken manchow soup

Newly opened in our area and of course we had to visit! The restaurant is clean, decor is simple and so far a very calm environment with low conversations. The staff are very kind and welcoming! I had the chicken manchow soup and the schezwan noodles with chicken medium spicy. I very much enjoyed my dishes! Can't wait to explore their other menu offerings! Yall should definitely check it out!

This newly opened spot at the corner of Gilbert Rd and Queen Creek is already creating a buzz for Indian cuisine in town. We went on a Saturday evening around 7:30 PM, and the place was packed. The ambiance is modern, clean, and inviting definitely a nice setting for dinner. However, the service was quite slow. We were seated promptly, but the food took at least 30 minutes to arrive. If you're there for a relaxed, leisurely meal, it works. But with young kids, the wait made the experience a bit challenging. We ordered the garlic shrimp, fried momos, and grilled chicken. Their Indo-Chinese menu is solid great flavor and taste, and definitely the highlight of the meal. The downside is the pricing and portion sizes. For what you pay, the portions don't quite do justice. Overall, it has great potential. I hope they improve the service speed and reconsider portion sizes and pricing because the flavors are definitely there.

Came to this new Indian restaurant as they had some interesting items in their menu. I was exited to try their momos but honestly it felt like frozen dumplings reheated... their corn dish also did not hit for me something about it was missing, my mom said when she came before it was extremely crispy but this time it wasn't the same. The biryani was solid and overall it was a good experience.

Mughlai Biryani
Shu Huan Y.

Everything was good that we ordered: chicken & paneer tikka masala, baby corn, spicy fried chilli shrimp, garlic butter nnan , biriyani except for the chicken Momos. Those are not chicken Momos.. and I've had chicken Momos in India..they tasted like Costco chicken dumplings... which was disappointing. Overall the food was flavorful and authentic. The Biriyani took longer than everything and came towards when we were finishing sadly. It was still very good the next day! The fried appetizers were very crunchy, loved the shrimp. They also didn't ask if I wanted a receipt and was done after paying..

Ambience was simple and very calming music playing. Many choices for dinner. The food was so flavorful, we loved everything and look forward to returning. Perfect balance of spice and flavors. Tiki masala was so rich and yummy! Mughlai Biryani was delicious, loved it with the yogurt sauce. Naan bread was crispy and perfect. As for the service, young ladies were very attentive and friendly, happy to make suggestions for us.

Chicken Momos
Betty J.

Ordered chicken lollipops, tikka masala, momos, and a mango lassi. The chicken lollipops were well seasoned and tasty. They were my favorite. The tikka masala is more on the tangy tomatoey side as opposed to being more creamy. The mango lassi had good texture and flavor but I think a little extra sweetness would be nice. Service was good and accommodated my no cilantro preference. Seating is comfortable and spacious.

First experience of indian fusion with a touch of Chinese cuisine. Ambient and cozy place.

Authentic Indian. I could tell I was the only non Indian in the restaurant! Great spot. I got the chicken tiki masala, garlic naan, veggie mamosa. I'm not new to Indian food, best friend is Indian so I've had my fair share of Indian food. This spot is legit. They close at 10:30, whole families still coming in at 10pm.

The food was pretty good here, however, I was severely annoyed with the waitress who wasn't really trying to service her customers but wanted to argue for most of the experience here so hence the two stars. Read on to see why I gave a lower rating than I normally would. Since this place is called Tap N Tikka, they had a nice selection of draft beers and I was impressed with their menu, which was on a digital board. The waitress tried to sell me on an Indian brewed beer (for example, Taj) and I just wasnt in the mood for one. Ive been to India several times and have had some of their beers in country. I asked for the Roses by the Stairs Czech Pale Ale and she didnt know if they had it. So I then said, if you dont have Roses by the Stairs, I'll take a Schoner Tag, which is a wheat style Hefeweizen. She then brought me the Schoner Tag, which was a very good beer. Next, we told her we weren't too hungry and mainly wanted to snack on some items and this is where she was being quite annoying. I mentioned the chaat on their menu and thought maybe these would be small bites as these are considered roadside snacks in India, but then she had to tell me oh no they are big portions, so I am like ok... I then saw kati rolls on the menu and thought we could get these and she says oh they are like big burritos, so then I said, well we could cut them in half and share it, but she seemed to think oh they are too big. OK, so after discussing the appetizer menu and couldnt seem to land on much, we now move onto entrees. She then suggests we share a dish, which we were both fine with. She initially suggested Reshmi chicken and said it had a creamy sauce, so we agreed. So, when we finally order the Reshmi chicken, I also asked for a garlic naan to soak up the sauce with and then waitress says oh its not too saucy. So, at this point, I am like whatever lady, can we just order here as you're not being helpful?? Then, she says oh popular dishes here are chicken tikka masala, butter chicken and also bhuna chicken. She said bhuna chicken was her favorite and better than the other two and had a sauce to it, so we finally agreed on this. When the chicken arrived, it came with rice and also we ordered the garlic naan too. The chicken was very good and flavorful, but I doubt it was bhuna chicken as it was a lot more saucy than how bhuna chicken is normally cooked. Bhuna chicken is normally more dry, so I dont know what this waitress is talking about. Garlic naan was so-so and I have had much better elsewhere and for $4.95 a piece, not worth it. I didnt eat much as I was headed to another meal, but did have a bite of chicken for taste and had one piece of naan. We had leftovers and she brought two take away containers. I asked for another container and she wanted to argue about this too. At this point, I just wanted to get out of here. I was like, lady, can you stop arguing with me? The food here was good, but the service was severely ruined by a waitress that didnt know what she was talking about and kept arguing. I thoroughly did not enjoy this experience. And on my receipt, the order was rung up as Butter Chicken and not Bhuna Chicken. With so much competition now (and so hard to earn a dollar and with skyrocketing inflation) and with plenty of other good Indian restaurants around, needles to say, Tap N Tikka, you lost my business and I wont be coming back, thanks to your rude and not knowledgeable waitress.

The Chicken 65 was exceptional, easily the best I've ever had. It was perfectly cooked with incredible flavor and balance. Asked the server what is in the dish and picked up garbanzo beans chutney, onion and some other things that were all vegetarian. Later learned it is a very popular Northern Indian Street Food. The bottom of the bowl had samosa which had a doughy potato like texture, although there were no potatoes. I focused on the top half of the bowl as it was a plentiful dish and I knew it was more than I could handle.. You walk in order your food at the counter and they bring it to your table. I've ordered several dishes here, but the Chicken Tikka Masala (pictured) is my go-to. I usually order it at a medium spice level, but if you're sensitive to spice, I'd recommend starting at a level 2 or 3. It comes with flavorful rice, and I always add an order of the garlic naan, which is the perfect complement. The vegetable samosas are also delicious and come with two dipping sauces that pair perfectly. The two women who usually help me, whether they're answering the phone or assisting me when I pick up my order are always incredibly kind, welcoming, and friendly. Okay... the coconut curry wings?? OBSESSED…read more I love coconut curry in general, so having it as a wing flavor is honestly top tier for me. It's such a creative idea and actually executed WELL. The flavor is rich, warm, savory, slightly sweet, cozy, and seriously addictive without being overly heavy. You still get that classic wing satisfaction, but with a fun curry twist that stands out from the usual buffalo/lemon pepper/garlic parm lineup in the valley. The wings were flavorful, crispy, and coated in this glossy coconut curry sauce that I could honestly eat on anything Whoever came up with this flavor deserves credit because it's genuinely memorable. My one tiny critique: PLEASE give us more coconut curry sauce or make extra sauce available! I usually order later in the evening, so I haven't been able to successfully call and ask, but this flavor is so good that I always wish there was extra for dipping or extra coating. These wings deserve to be swimming in sauce Other than that? Easily my favorite wing flavor here and a reorder every time. While I was there, it started to fill up and there were quite a few food delivery service drivers picking up orders. That's a good sign. I imagine this food is well suited for takeout. The place is on the small side but clean and well-lit. I ordered a bowl with rice and naan at the counter and pulled a rose lassi from the case. I had paneer with spinach masala and a side of Shack Naan (topped with garlic, cilantro and cheese!!!). My food arrived quickly and was hot (temperature). No complaints. The paneer was firm and the masala had a good texture and depth of flavor. The house spice level wasn't really spicy at all for this dish, but I wanted a baseline. Some Indian places start on the high end and only get painful from there. That's not the case here; I'll definitely go Hot next time. My food disappeared nearly as fast as it showed up... I will be back, even if just for some Shack Naan to snack on.
