This is by far the BEST coffee shop I have ever been to. The chai tea was delicious, the atmosphere was calming and inspiring to do work in. The chairs were very comfortable and there is a lot of different kind of seating available. There's a quit area, an area to chat and meet in and an open area. This was my first time trying Yemeni coffee, and the experience was truly unique! The space is beautifully decorated with a great vibe, and the staff was super friendly and welcoming. Since it was my first visit, they kindly let me try a few samples before ordering. I tried the Jubani and the Mofawer. Both have very exotic, distinct flavors. They lean on the sweeter side, and because of the strong spice blend (lots of cinnamon and ginger), the aftertaste ended up feeling a bit like ginger/scallion aromatics to me. It's definitely an acquired taste if you're only used to standard coffee or espresso drinks, but it's very interesting to experience. Top-notch service and a lovely atmosphere overall. This place was beautiful on the inside. Not overly decorated but nicely decorated. A great place to meet friends, study, or get a nice beverage. The options were decent and included Turkish coffee, drip coffee, macha, lattes, and chai. The desserts looked really good and fresh. Although I didn't order food this time I would if I returned. The service.. the girls were friendly... The guy not so much. He just took the order without a smile or thank you and kept moving along. I ordered a pistachio matcha mostly because the pistachio was homemade and I love pistachios and flavors. The drink was made pretty quickly and was nice with a nutty balance. Don't have much resistance on a camel shaped latte. Had a lady coffee time today. First time visiting this place which is very spacious for a coffee shop. They have done a great job to set up the lobby have three areas with super nice benches around the wall. Perfect for the group chatting. I tried the Qishr for the first time. Light than a regular coffee, more like tea body. With some ginger taste and very little sweetness. It took about 10 mins to make. I liked it a lot. Also got the bird's nest which I highly recommend. Creamer than the regular baklava and perfect portion for us. Certainly could be one of my regulars. read more

Really enjoyed our experience here. Everything from the spacious layout with a clean chic look, to comfortable furniture, to the welcome greeting as you walk in - made it so inviting. We ordered Adeni tea and the Mofawer coffee. Both were strong, flavorful, a delight to sip. I particularly appreciated receiving our drinks in real cups vs paper cups. 11/22/25 update: This is my second time at this location. We came at night on a Saturday. Surprisingly, it wasn't busy. However, my favorite spot to sit in was taken up by this huge Filipino family that looked like they'd been sitting there for hours and hours. All of the kids were jumping on all of the seats. I would suggest coming here in the day time when there are no kids, that way you can see the cleaned look. Also, the customer service was fine. I believe the negative reviews are from Karen's that only know American culture. We ordered pistachio cheesecake, royal halwa, sand dunes latte, and pistachio matcha. I didn't care too much about the royal halwa. It was a bit too sweet. However, I enjoyed the pistachio cheesecake and the matcha. Stopped into Arwa for the first time on New Year's Eve in need of a serious pick me up and was so glad to find them still open and happily taking orders. It's a great coffee spot from what I could gather. Very clean and well maintained with good drink options and food offerings too. I ordered a Sand Dune latte and it was a perfect sampling of Yemeni flavors that really helped me warm up on that cold last night of the year. The cardamom and honey are well balanced with the caramel and vanilla to make a tasty drink that I am looking forward to trying iced at some point. read more

I have yet to try a variety of Yemeni coffee houses but is that necessary when I've found one that I truly enjoy? Arwa had a collaboration with Fountaindale Public Library and hosted a Monday morning story time for young children. My girls had a school holiday and I could always use an excuse to splurge on caffeine. We arrived early and I ordered a mofawer coffee in the meantime. It was a very well-balanced coffee with cardamom, cinnamon, ginger, milk, and sugar. If you like a little spice, this is the drink for you. Story time was held in a separate private room that is spacious enough to hold 30 children and parents. The Fountaindale Public Library staff arrived early and was prepared with activities, books, small rug, music, and dance moves. Story time lasted for approximately 40 minutes. She was animated, friendly, and interactive. My girls had a wonderful time and we look forward to their next story time. The coffee house is clean and modern with intricate designs. The location is incredibly ideal because it is in the same plaza as Aldi and Ikea. These are places that my family and I would frequent so with Arwa in the area, we can easily check them off. read more

Came here for a simple caffeine fix, left wanting to learn about and taste Yemeni coffee. First off, this is THE most stunning cafe I have ever been to. It can easily be considered an event space. It's brightly lit, draws in any outdoor lighting without making the space hot indoors, and the decor compliments whatever lighting is available. I didn't have the coffee, but I did have a seasonal drink, and that was delightful. Even my husband, who traditionally dislikes any matcha drink, loved my blueberry matcha latte. I also happened to be hungry, so I ordered a chicken sandwich, which I had heated up due to the server's recommendation. The bread was so airy yet had a nice, soft crunch to it, and the sandwich overall was robust and really good. I wish they had a location in Chicago, but I'll settle for making a special trip here when I happen to be in the city. read more

This place of gorgeous! I love the arched decor and the layout of the shop. There's multiple areas to sit depending on your mood. There's a room that offers a more lounge option as well as regular tables and chairs. In the back, there's also a quieter area if you're wanting to get some work done with more focus. The bathrooms are also very nice and very clean. I have been here a couple of times and I've enjoyed both hot and cold beverages. Keep an eye out for their seasonal drink specials as they do have some really fun ones. I've tried their desserts from the case and were all very delicious. I love banana pudding and theirs is really good and highly recommended. The staff is super nice and patient as you study the menu and they were very quick with making the coffee. Perfection EVERYWHERE! I am obsessed with Arwa. This Yemeni coffee shop recently opened and it is absolutely stunning. There are several spaces to enjoy your time here. It was designed beautifully. Staff members were very helpful. They made sure to be available at all times. After placing a large-ish order, everything was ready to be picked up at the front counter within 5-10 mins. My group and I tried a variety of items. A pot of adeni tea, a sand dune latte, the honey comb pastry, pistachio milk cake, and pistachio cheesecake. Prices are on the higher side for food items given the portion size. Both drinks were delicious and hot. I'd order them again. I didn't love the honey comb pastry, which surprises me since I'm a big fan of this item. Unfortunately I won't be getting it from here again. But! The pistachio milk cake and cheesecake?! DANG! I came here for a treat on April 11 at 10:44 AM, but I never even received my coffee. Despite only three group of customers being in the shop, the wait time was ridiculous because both employees were on their phones and completely ignored the customers. To make matters worse, the water provided was dirty dust in it. After waiting over 30 minutes, I finally had to ask to cancel my order at 11:15 AM. I had to interrupt an employee named Faith, who was busy on her phone, just to get my money back. Terrible customer service and a total waste of time. read more

Beautiful space, great desserts, and fantastic drinks!! such a perfect study space for student as well, since there's outlets everywhere, so I'll definitely be back! We tried a few things off the menu to get a taste of everything. We tried the Dubai chocolate brownie and omg it was so good! I do wish there was a bit more katiafi since the brownie in the case had a lot more, but overall so good!!! We also got the Yemeni coffee and that was delicious. Not only did it have their cute camel design overtop, but the blend of spices is perfect. We tried the traditional sampler, which includes the jubani, mofawer, adeni tea, and red tea. All the drinks were delicious, but the top contenders were the red tea and the jubani. Did a walk in with my friend at 10:45pm ish. Surprisingly there are a lot of people....like a full house. We tried their red tea and Biscoff cheesecake. The tea are herbal taste sweeter side. Wow! What a special coffee shop, tucked away in the big shopping plaza near ikea. I can't see this being a daily stop, but for a special treat, this place has a fantastic and unique menu filled with delicious and not too sweet coffees. The space inside is absolutely beautiful, and while we were there, I noticed a sign that you could rent one of their dining spaces as a private party room. Great decor and friendly cashier. The menu in the store provides the details of what the drink has, ex. Spices. There were a few drinks that have ginger in them. There was a wide selection of desserts to try. They will call out your number when an item from your order is ready. Plastic utensils, napkins, sugar, and creamer are on a counter located on the side of the entrance. My friend ordered the Jubani, which she says was similar to Chai tea, and pistachio brownie cookie, which she didn't really taste the pistachio. I had the Yemeni latte and had almond milk substitute for $1. Was really delicious and they have a camel print on the latte. Also had the Dubai Chocolate which was crunchy and rich in chocolate. Dining in they served in glass/ceramic mugs and plates. The brownie and cookie were heated up too. When finish just throw out your trash in the garbage on the side of the entrance and place your mug and plates in a bin next to the trash can. Great place to relax and chat with friends. Lots of parking spaces but is packed during noon as the parking spot is shared with Wholey Granoley. read more

This place is gorgeous inside. I went midday on a weekday so not a lot of people in there and the friendly staff helped guide me through the menu as I'm not a big cardamom fan. Unfortunately, a good amount of their drinks do have a strong cardamom taste to it so while this might be a new favorite for many people in the area, it just will not be for me. Conveniently located near IKEA in Bolingbrook, Arwa is a beautiful new Yemeni coffee shop. It's quite spacious inside and has a very elegant feel to it despite using a neutral color palette. It looks much nicer than Filli in Villa Park, I think because of the chandeliers and artwork, and just a generally more high-end feeling. Arwa definitely has a wow factor. There are plenty of tables in the main area, a cozy room with cushion seating, and a couple tables around the back area. There was a decent selection of cookies and breads to choose from, as well as a few pudding choices like banana and cookies & cream. Their drinks menu had the standard Yemeni drinks one would expect like jubani, mofawer, san'aani, and qishr, along with standard coffee drinks and some items unique to Arwa. The drinks menu seemed to be shorter than Qamaria's. I ordered a 12 oz mofawer with light sugar and a Lotus pudding to go. The mofawer was very good, although it seemed slightly less strong than I've had at Qamaria or Qahwah House. Regardless, I could taste the cardamom and this drink would be a good introduction for someone new to Yemeni coffee. The Lotus pudding was delicious. It was the same texture as banana pudding, but of course with the classic flavor of Biscoff cookies. Service was good, and pricing was similar to other Yemeni coffee shops, though $7.50 for the pudding did seem kind of high. I think the menu could use a couple of savory items, but overall it seems like a great addition to the Yemeni coffee shop scene and I look forward to trying some unique items like the Sand Dune Latte. read more

Got an iced Spanish latte, feel like it was more milky than any sort of coffee. It's usually my go to coffee at any place but wasn't a fan. The space inside however is so big and cozy to work in. I want the owner(s) of this place to know what a SPIT IN THE FACE it is to charge $9 for an iced coffee (after all your add ons for ice, oat milk, sweetener, etc) and make someone wait almost 20 mins...not 20 mins to make my order because by that point I asked for a refund. There were at least 3 orders ahead of me. How much longer was it gonna be? By my calculation I woulda waited a total of 40-42mins! That's two episodes of the Fresh Prince without commercials! In the 20 mins I waited I saw only 3 orders go out and no more than 2-3 new orders come in after me. That means you can't handle an average of one new order every 6 and half mins without backing up 20+ mins. Whats going on?! You have 3 or 4 baristas clearly trying but nothings coming out. Which means it's not their fault it's the owner/management who has provided a poor process, poor training, poor staffing, poor experience...for a luxury item! $9 for an iced coffee that's half ice and you can't even hire enough people or provide service that matches the price? You're taking advantage of people who don't want to go to Starbucks, charging them double but doing nothing to earn their business. You should be ashamed of yourselves. read more

Arwa in Bolingbrook is easily one of my favorite spots! The vibe here is warm and welcoming. You can tell it's a space built around community. There is ample amount of seating even during busy hours. The interior aesthetic is beautiful and the place has great lighting! The drinks here are on another level - rich, perfectly spiced and so comforting. What really sets it apart from other places is the depth of flavor and the way everything feels thoughtfully made! Highly recommend the sand dune iced latte (so yummy), Adeni chai, ginger lime refresher, dragon blood refresher, Yemeni latte and pistachio cheesecake (so rich and delicious)! Arwa Yemeni Tea in Bolingbrook is off to an incredible start! The grand opening was packed, but there was still plenty of seating and ample parking, making it easy to enjoy the experience. Their menu is exceptional and unique compared to the Dallas location, offering a fantastic variety of drinks and desserts. The service here is very exceptional and the staff is very friendly. The owners Rabia and Yasir are also really kind. We didn't get to try the chai this time (sleep was calling!), but the Mango Refresher and Blood Dragon Refresher were both amazing--refreshing, flavorful, and perfectly balanced. The dessert selection is next-level, featuring everything from Funfetti and Oreo cake pops to cheesecakes in mango, saffron, Oreo, and pistachio flavors. The Banana Pudding, Lotus Pudding, Rose cardamom Milkcake, and Strawberry Milkcake all looked incredible as well! Their interior is actually pretty beautiful too with a lot of art and design from the Yemeni culture. They also have artifacts from Yemen and a really cool painting. One of the coolest things on the menu is the Traditional Sampler, which includes four different drinks--perfect for anyone who wants to explore the flavors, including their famous Adeni Chai.
