Food: 4/5, Atmosphere: 5/5 *Fully Vegan Indian Restaurant* Food: We came here for Chicago restaurant week and we had a great time! We tried an array of food and it was pretty good. The appetizers were delicious, especially the samosa. The Chana and lentils were pretty good but the flavor could've been richer and spicier. Atmosphere: The owner was very helpful and attentive. The restaurant is very nice and it's right in the heart of Devon Street. We felt very welcomed and that our service was truly appreciated.

Amazing food! It was my first time here and I'm so happy I chose this restaurant! The staff is extremely friendly and helpful with any questions I had! The inside was decorated very nicely with lots of plants to freshen up the space. I will be back!

An amazing place we've enjoyed for over 20 years. Vegan and so delicious. Thank you Chef Kirti.

This was my first time to Arya Bhavan and I love this place! I signed up for an Intro to Indian Vegan cooking class and it was so much fun! I learned how to make two different types of soup, Uppma and coconut macaroons. Only $50 for the 2hr class, plus I received a Education on the different types of health benefits from spices. I also got to try their food as well! I highly recommend Arya Bhavan, for both their cooking classes and for their food!!!

Terrific vegan Indian cuisine. Highly recommend the roti bread and bhindi masala, baigan bartha, palaak paneer, and all of the dals.

My son and his girlfriend have been there many times, and insisted we get the whipped ricotta appetizer and kale salad. Both of these items were top notch, as were the cocktails and we enjoyed. The pasta bolognese that the ladies ordered was delicious. My son had the burger and fries, and it was fine, just not very special. I ordered the "half" chicken, thinking as a bird themed restaurant, the only poultry entree would be a star, but that was not the case. A small thigh and half of a breast was their interpretation of a half chicken, and this was noted on the menu, but the portion was disappointing. The dish was supposed to to be accompanied by polenta with trumpet mushrooms, but two paltry slices of mushroom with a small smear of polenta completed the dish which "artfully" only occupied the left half of the plate, leaving the rest of the plate bare. Small portions aside, the dish was overly salty, to the point I had dry mouth the rest of the night, and the chicken was overcooked. The taste was fine, and the little bit of polenta added enough moisture to make the dish work. The worst thing was the incredibly dull dinner knife that couldn't cut through the mushroom, let alone the chicken, causing me to apply the stab and pull/tear method to get bite sized pieces. Everything thing else was superb. I would go back for the cocktails and appetizers, perhaps grazing the appetizers and a salad as a dinner. The pastas all looked terrific, but I will probably steer clear of the four mains on the menu, as they seem to be the least inspired items to order.

We arrived around 6:35 pm on a Tuesday, the patio was already packed. We were given an estimate of a 30-minute wait by Pheonix, the friendly hostess. Fortunately, it only took 15 minutes for a table for 2 to open up. When Pheonix called me on my phone, I was browsing a close-by store. Third time's the charm, my daughter was finally able to order an Aperol Spritzer ($12), which was sold out in our previous two visits. It didn't disappoint. I liked the Peach Tea ($6) and ordered it again. We had been eyeing the Burrata ($22) during our last visit, so we finally gave it a try, along with the Prosciutto e Fichi pizza ($23) to share. Daughter absolutely loved the burrata served with toasted bread. While I thought the burrata itself was good, it didn't quite wow me. The toast was a bit too hard, and some of the pieces lacked the crispness I was expecting. I loved the Prosciutto e Fichi though. The savory paper-thin prosciutto paired beautifully with the fresh sweet figs, creating a combination that was both unique and delicious. However, the irony was that my daughter wasn't a fan of those flavors. Well, we both enjoyed the Tiramisu ($8), which was a perfect ending to this enjoyable meal. We are not big eaters and both of us were full, and I was happy to have leftovers of the pizza to take home for lunch the next day. As always, the service was friendly and efficient, and the relaxed patio ambiance made for a wonderful post-class dinner. Even though not every dish was a home run, the overall experience was another 5-star one, and we're already looking forward to our next visit.

There is outdoor seating under a pergola lined with semi-private planters, while the inside features a bar, high tops, low tops, and large booths. The music was upbeat, giving the space an elevated lounge vibe that pairs really well with the upholstered booths and vintage industrial design. I ordered the Wolf Burger, which is a whopping three-patty burger. That first bite was juicy and pure bliss--a total explosion of great flavors. It was a little messy (like all burgers with an egg), but the extra liquid was perfect for balancing the density of such a meaty burger. The soft bun soaked in a lot of those juices with each bite, intensifying the flavor as I ate more. The fries were thin and on the greasier side--not my personal favorite, but they worked alright as a vehicle for the sauce. Speaking of which, the chili aioli served with the fries was fantastic. We also got the mac and cheese, which hit a great balance between rich and creamy without feeling excessively wet. The boat it came in was a bit small, making it a little messy to scoop out with the serving spoon, but it was soooo good. Overall, it is absolutely a fantastic neighborhood place for comfort food and drinks with friends in a great space!
