Everything I bought was delicious but the chocolate covered dates may be the best thing I've eaten so far this year and I eat a lot of delicious things so this says a lot. All of the sweets were packaged and presented beautifully. I'll definitely be back!

Dubai Chocolate!!! Arz Café is hands down one of the most welcoming and heartfelt places I've ever visited. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with warmth and hospitality that truly stands out. The owner, Adam, is genuinely one of the kindest and most generous souls I've ever met. His passion for what he does shines through in every interaction and in the incredible desserts he creates. The desserts were nothing short of perfection--so fresh, and you can tell they're made with love and care. I had the pleasure of enjoying a rose espresso, which was divine, and as I sat there, I watched Adam greet and interact with each customer. His pure-hearted nature and dedication to his craft are undeniable. Every product in Arz Café is a reflection of his pride and love for what he does. It's rare to find someone so invested in both the quality of their offerings and the experience of their guests. If you're looking for a café with soul, where hospitality is unmatched and the desserts are unforgettable, Arz Café is the place. Adam deserves so much more recognition for creating such a special space. Highly recommend!

Visited for the first time today, the baklava is the best I've had! Pistachio flavor was my fav. The owner seems like a fantastic human. I need to go back to try all the things I see other people mentioning here that I missed. :)

After working from home and being the chef for the entire week cooking for my hard working collegiate kids, I decided it was time to take a day off from cooking and go out to grab a bite to eat. I told my daughter to get prepared, get the dog ready and so off we went. I was meaning to visit Adam King of Shawarma probably for about a year and a half now since moving into the area but I was just too busy until now. The visit and experience tonight was well worth it. I decided to get a simple meal of Shawarma wraps to eat for this rainy Friday evening. I didn't want to over-indulge during this visit like I do most of the time so I kept my composure this time around since trying new things is my nature. I had the pleasure of meeting the owner and we had a very interesting chat. The first thing that Mr. Abu told me was that he appreciated me coming over to his store in spite of the rainy weather and I told him in return that I was so glad to have the opportunity to finally make it tonight and try out his food. After our chat, Mr. Abu went off to the kitchen to work his magic and prepare our meals. After a short wait (20 min or so) I was taken back when he approached the counter and told me he was giving me some extra meat and then had me hold the bag in the palm of my hand to feel the weight. I was totally caught off guard of his generosity. I mentioned to him that others said how the owner was so kind and gave generous portions and my experience tonight justified this. As we spoke while walking towards the door, he told me that life was too short; it's better to give than to receive. I later learned that the store is actually named after his son, Adam, and I could tell the look in his eyes that he must be very proud of him. When we got home, my daughter, I and our dog couldn't believe our eyes when we unwrapped the surprise inside; humongous Shawarma wraps. Such a generous gesture from a genuine human being. The meat was tender and flavorful, not salty or bland. Adam garlic sauce provided the balance in the taste and the wrap was delicious and kept everything intact after every bite. I was about to eat the entire thing but decided to cut it in half and eat the other half for lunch the next day. I'm very glad that I finally made it and also meet a new friend. I can't wait to come back and try their other foods especially on the bakery side. Tonight was a very positive experience for all of us indeed!!

I love a good shawarma. It's been a while too since I had one. My only real knock on this place was the absence of a proper menu. However now that I know what I want I doubt I'll stray. I got the beef shawarma wrap. You don't often see beef shawarma and I think I know why. The beef was sliced thin and very well seasoned. Almost too much so. Definitely packed with flavor. I fear lamb would almost be too bold. I think when I come back I'll get chicken. The inside ingredients were fresh and I don't know if this accurately describes, but cut in a fashion that is conducive to a wrap. I hate tomatoes. So the absence of a menu didn't warn me of them so I had to do a little picking but such has been my life. I love the garlic sauce. Often, actually literally every other shawarma I've had, the sauce is too strong and overpowers or gets old on the palate. This sauce was perfect. Good portion of food too. Adam (I assume it was Adam the Shawarma king) pointed out some desserts for me too. The maamools are like filled shortbread cookies. A little dry but probably would be delightful with a cup of tea. Which is how I intend to eat my remaining ones tomorrow. King of the shawarma for sure!!

Such a lovely man working there! We have Lebanese family and were so pleasantly surprised to find a Lebanese bakery here. Got a lot of different items, and they have games and cards to play so you can just hangout there and enjoy the atmosphere

From the moment we walked in and received their amazing service, to the very last bite we ate, made us smile from ear-to-ear. We ate their Chicken Shawarma Wrap, Baba Ghanoush, and Beef Shawarma Plater. The care and respect, coupled with the fresh ingredients & spices, turned out some of the best Lebanese food we've ever eaten, anywhere. Also, this amazing owner fed my wife cookies!!! If I could give this restaurant and owner more than 5 stars, I absolutely would!

Which menu items are gluten free?

You'd have to check the menu but I imagine any of the plates without pita bread would be gluten free. I believe the hummus and babaganous (sp) are gluten free also. Salads, french fries, pickled onions, etc.

Do you have any gluten free options?

    Yes we do.

Your logo says halal and kosher. Are you kosher certified?

    Yes we are.

The young lady at the counter gave possibly the worst service I have experienced in a long time. She gave no acknowledgment, no recommendation, seemed bothered that we were there, no response when we said thank you multiple times. ZERO ENGAGEMENT! The place is also dirty and appears unkept. The outside seating area has trash and debris from the previous day...we were there right after open... needs to be swept. Doesn't appear like it has been pressure washed in a while either. Planters are smeared with dirt, concrete stained with food buildup and tables need a bath. The inside is just as bad, which starts at the front door. Front glass looks awful...smears, dirt, grime, and streaks galore. There are also signs peeling and tape residue left from signage that used to be present. Soda machine and bathrooms were also beneath expectations. You can't have a "thank you for supporting small business" sign if you aren't doing your part. I would love to support you in the future, BUT service and cleanliness must improve.

It's a nice location and was quite busy on a Tuesday night. We were sat right on time for our reservation. The server recommended 5-7 plates for our party of 3 and let us know that plates come out as they are made (pretty standard). Despite this, there seemed to be no pacing to how dishes came out. All of our dishes came out rapid fire one after another to the point where we didn't have time to finish the small plates and didn't have room on the table. The food itself was largely okay, but nothing to write home about. The two biggest plates we got were the pastrami and the short rib. The pastrami was somewhat dry, though the mustard it was served with was delicious. The short rib was tough and in the rub had one slice that was way too strong and overpowered all the other flavors. The hummus with burnt ends was good from a hummus perspective but the ends were super salty. The cornbread was delicious and probably the favorite plate of the table and the cauliflower was a close second. All in all, a pretty disappointing experience. Maybe it was just a tough night there and we'll give it another try.

We went with Karam because the reviews were descent and it was close to the house where we were hosting the party. We placed our order 3 weeks before the party, which is plenty of time for them to plan ahead. We ordered 2 orders of chicken shwarma and 2 orders of lamb shwarma. Each order feeds 10, so there should've been enough meat for 40 people. We were shocked when we picked up our order and there was very little meat. When we put it in a chaffing dish there was barely enough to cover the bottom, in one very sparse layer. It was definitely NOT enough for 40 people. This was right before the party, so there wasn't a whole lot we could do. The show went on and it was a really good thing we had a lot of salad (made by us) and we also ordered 3 orders of falafel. We called Karam the day after the party to let them know what happened. There was a lot of back and forth but they eventually promised to issue a refund to the credit card the order was purchased with. That never happened. We continued to follow up, but there was generally always a promise of issuing a refund that didn't come through. Finally we went in. A worker actually admitted that they ran out of food that day and just gave us what was left. After that the owner called us and promised a refund as well as a gift card for the couple who the party was for, which he did come through on. From the first time we called to the time the refund/gift card was issued, it was about 6 weeks. Long story short, go there for lunch, but don't use them for catering. I would never want to be responsible for tanking someone's business, especially when the owner did reach out and finally refund some of our money. But, it took way longer than it should've. Also, it never should've happened in the first place. They should've planned ahead for our catering order and whatever walk in business they had that day. If they were running short on food, they should've prioritized the catering order and told people coming in for lunch they were out of chicken and lamb shwarma due to a large catering order. Instead they shorted us, hoping we wouldn't say anything. It put a huge damper on the party that we basically didn't have enough food. You can't go back and redo it. So, for that reason, although I appreciate the owner trying to make it right (reason for 2 stars instead of 1), I feel morally compelled to warn people about using Karam for catering.
