This spot was so so awesome! The service was super friendly, and it was the first spot our best friends, my husband, and I enjoyed together after getting to see them after their move here! Everyone was prompt and hospitable! I ordered the Turkish coffee and we all had beef and chicken plate meals and ordered an additional chicken and beef wrap! Everything was great and my husband and best friend really loved the baklava desserts they ordered! [[HIGHLIGHT]]The seating area was clean and the weather was nice for the outdoor seating.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I would definitely give this spot another visit!

The Iraqi tea and Turkish coffee

[[HIGHLIGHT]]The name of the restaurant, as simple as it is, really embodies this place! It is owned and operated by a family, and they have a pretty incredible way of making you feel like you're part of their family![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]The ambiance is super cute and cozy, which makes you feel like you're sitting down in someone's home for a home cooked meal.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] My husband and I got the chicken and rice and black eyed peas and rice, the Iraqi tea, and the Turkish coffee. The coffee and tea were served in decorative glassware that felt super special, and the cardamom in both was superrrr tasty. The entire time we were eating we kept looking at each other and saying "this is so good..." while we melted further into our seats. This place was amazing and we will definitely be back!!

What a hidden gem! My wife found this place on Yelp during our current trip, walking distance to our hotel in Beaverton. We shared the lamb shank, which was so tender and flavorful. We also had the Turkish coffee which was delightful. Lastly, we shared a baklava and it was wonderful. The service was excellent and friendly. [[HIGHLIGHT]]We sat outside in covered seating and it was perfect.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Five star rating is well deserved! Highly recommended!

Plan some time for your meal. The taste is so worth it. We ordered the omelet and the beef dish. I am a huge fan of vegetables at every meal so the side salad was spot on. Homemade bread to accompany the beef dish. So good. The spices used are generous and delicious. [[HIGHLIGHT]]A few tables inside, most of the seating is outside.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Looking forward to going again!

We had an amazing breakfast here!! The owners were lovely and made us feel right at home. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Adorable intimate space inside.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Plenty of covered seating out in front.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We loved the flavors of the middle eastern dishes. Definitely coming back soon to try the lunch menu.

First let me say this family owned restaurant/lounge is the hidden gem! We had the pleasure of having Leslie, daughter of the owners, and her sister's daughter-in-law serve us. (This is a family owned, family run place.) Both ladies were so sweet! And mom was working too!!! Okay, on to breakfast. Coffee was good black. No bitterness. Cinnamon roll was not too sweet so easy to eat as a side. Eggs were cooked to order and done perfectly. Country potatoes were seasoned just right. Biscuit was soft and not dried out. Hubby said the side is gravy was really good! Sausage was tasty. We could not eat it all so took over fifty percent home for lunch. Like I said, this is a hidden gem that you would not expect breakfast from. And service is top notched! So glad we stopped in! We'll be back.

Family cafe is indeed, run by a lovely family. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I've visited several times and very much enjoy the laid-back environment and friendly faces.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]The outdoor seating has heaters and is protected from wind.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The food is comforting and excellent every time. The Iraqi tea and Turkish coffee is phenomenal, and I can't visit without ordering one or both. I'm already looking forward to the next visit.

I have been here several times new and it never disappoints. The family who owns it is so friendly and the food is never short of amazing. My favorite is the chicken wrap and I always get the Iraqi tea.

Must try! This restaurant is such a gem, the veggie omelette had the best spices, gluten free pancakes were done well and my bf dates and eggs were surprising and tasty.

A small family-run business with some great food! I had the Fava Beans dish and it was delicious and filling, and the bread at the bottom soaked up the sauce quite nicely. This was my first time having a Turkish coffee. It had a fruitier taste than I usually go for but I still enjoyed it. Overall a great place that I will be visiting again.

I love Family Cafe ! I've been going here for two years for their delicious Turkish coffee, savory pastries, and warm welcomes. They are very kind people who care a lot about their customers. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I also love that they expanded their seating with heated outdoor tables ![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

This is a cute little cafe a friend and I stumbled upon in Beaverton. The aesthetic is stunning and the service was amazing! The woman at the cash register was sweet and the food came out fast. I had the Baklava and Iraqi chai and it was amazing! Definitely worth the visit

There was ample seating to suit every mood (table and chairs, comfy chairs, and comfy sofas with plenty of outlets and side tables). There's a fun and fresh local artist goods shop tucked in the front corner. It's a perfect place to find a gift for yourself or others. The menu is a nerdy dream come true. When we visited a couple of weeks ago in May, the themed drinks were Lord of the Rings and Mario. I had the Gondor, which, if I recall, may have had hazelnut and cinnamon. I DO recall that it was delish. I forgot what drink my daughter ordered, but she enjoyed it as well. I look forward to coming back and trying their London Fog, which is one of my favorite drinks and seems to have significant praise from other reviewers. We didn't get an opportunity to try the food, but look forward to in the future. One refreshing surprise is that this is a no-tip establishment. I don't recall what I paid for the drinks, but I appreciate places that charge what they need to make their business work and to (hopefully) pay their employees a living wage. Brickhaus is rooted in community and belonging, and I am here for it!

I stopped by Deadstock Coffee while visiting the area and immediately loved the concept. As someone who loves coffee but loves sneakers even more, this place felt right up my alley. The shop itself is decorated with basketball and sneaker culture, along with iconic sports moments that make the space feel unique without trying too hard. One thing that caught me off guard was that there wasn't a traditional menu posted. As a first-time visitor, I wasn't sure what coffee options, blends, or milk choices were available. Thankfully, it wasn't too busy, and the employee working was incredibly patient, friendly, and happy to walk me through everything. Customer service like that goes a long way. My drink was excellent, and the sneaker design printed on top of the coffee was such a cool touch. It's one of those little details that makes the experience memorable and fits perfectly with the brand. Whether you're a sneakerhead, a coffee lover, or both, Deadstock Coffee is worth checking out. I'll definitely be stopping by again the next time I'm in the area.

I've tried both the ube coconut latte and the black sesame latte, each made with plant-based milk instead of regular milk. The ube coconut latte was smooth, well-balanced, and not overly sweet. The black sesame latte, however, was the standout for me. It had a rich, nutty flavor and is hands-down my favorite of the two. I don't believe it's a regular menu item, so if you happen to see it, I'd definitely recommend giving it a try. Loro is on the pricier side, which is why I don't visit as often as I'd like, but I genuinely think it's worth it. The quality of the food and drinks makes it feel like a special treat. The only reason I'm giving four stars instead of five is the parking. The café is tucked between apartments and other retail spaces, so street parking is your only option. I've had to circle the block several times before finding a spot, making it less convenient if you're driving.
