Fried Japanese Rice with Shrimp: Here's where dinner slightly derailed for me. I didn't know what exactly to expect here since everyone's version of fried rice varies. I'll tell you what I DIDN'T expect though--a lack of flavor. This rice was tragically bland with some of the tiniest shrimp I've seen in a while. Moreover, the shrimp themselves appeared to be steamed rather than pan seared (I'm partial to grilled personally, but that's neither here nor there). It was okay, but definitely not worth a revisit. I'm sorry. But if I can make better fried rice at home, that's an instant 'L' for me. 4 out of 10; would not get again.
