Pros: friendly service Cons: Slow service (one guy making sushi for the entire restaurant and the phone in orders). Took over an hr for the whole order to trickle in. Most people seemed to be eating from the Chinese restaurant. Tempura shrimp and veggies, tasted ok. Sushi was fair, unremarkable. Drinks were fajr. Edamame was fair. I don't like to consider myself a Chinese/Japanese connoisseur, but I do love sashimi and sushi. We came to the restaurant around 730pm and one of the workers was on his phone in the front, when I walk into a restaurant I like the first experience to be one where I'm greeted into see a clean environment to know if I'm going to move forward. Immediately, There was a disgusting coat rack with a used unsanitary Dominos labeled mask sitting on the end with greasy finger marks across it. The carpet looked like it had seen better days and a recent food fight broke out previously and was hardly cleaned up after. As we passed thru the restaurant we saw 3/4 of the tables had been previously sat and ring marks, unkept tables were disgusting. As we sat and watched workers; we realized the tables and chairs were not being sanitized as per state guidelines. A used disgusting cloth in dirty water was being used to clean tables. The wall at our table looked as if it had smattered food, nose pickings and the edge of the table had sticky residue that seemingly has not been cleaned for I don't care to guess how long. We requested small alcohol pads to disinfect the table chairs and surfaces. The sushi sashimi was cut strangely and wasn't as fresh as I had hoped. I ordered a staple House Rice, which was a combination of old lettuce and day old food with new rice. If I was 3 Mai Tais deep, it would of been heavenly, but I wasn't. I did order a single Mai Tai, it was incredible; potent, sugary and without any fruit decorations which was slightly disappointing, but this is a cheap oriental restaurant, not the Hanover St Chophouse. I get it. Everything else food wise was subpar, come here for the strong drinks, people watching (we overheard three young guys talking about loudly about their first Meth snd Heroin experiences) and convenience factor. The Crab Rangoon left an after taste and for the first time in my life I tried to wipe my tongue clean after trying a chicken wing. There's no doubt that it was RANCID meat. Jade Dragon opened their second location last week at the Granite Town Plaza in Milford inside the former Lu Yi House. The original Jade Dragon is located in Merrimack, which is more of a place to hang and go for strong drinks, DJ, and karaoke than for the food. The new Jade Dragon serves up mostly Chinese food plus sushi and sashimi too. They also offer 18 Lunch Combinations ($4.50-$6.50) and 12 All Day Daily Combinations ($6.50-8.25). The management really did a fantastic job of renovating the former Chinese restaurant/buffet which was a real dive before. The place has been transformed into a nice modern looking restaurant with new furnishings, new carpeting, nice Asian decor, large vases, and there's also a sushi bar and drink bar in the back. I stopped here for lunch takeout at around 2:58PM, barely, but just in time to take advantage of lunch pricing. I ordered the L1 Egg Roll with Subgum Chicken Chow Mein and Pork Fried Rice ($4.50 plus tax), which was ready in about 10 minutes. The food was alright and the portion was pretty generous for the price. The subgum chow mein had plenty mixed vegetables (green peppers, red peppers, celery, onions, water chestnuts) with small pieces of ground chicken and crunchy rice noodles on top. The fried rice was dark color with chunks of roast pork. The egg roll (not too greasy) was stuffed with minced cabbage and ground pork. I had plenty of leftovers, which I reheated the next day. However, after being in cooler overnight, the chow mein sauce had formed a very jellylike texture all around, but otherwise tasted okay. read more

We ordered take out from Jade Dragon. We ordered three entrees, crab rangoon, green dragon roll, and egg rolls. This is the first restaurant featuring Asian cuisine that did not include rice with Chinese Entrees. We spent $75, for take out. I thought there was rice in the bag only to scramble to make rice and keep the food warm when we got home. My husband called the restaurant and asked if they forgot to include it and they said no rice was included with entrees. The crab rangoon was delicious and so was the green dragon roll. The servings were generous. The egg rolls were the driest egg rolls ever. The sauce on the entrees were overly thick and sweet not spicy as they were described. We may come back for sushi but not for the Chinese food. read more

Used to be our "go to" place for Chinese food when up visiting family in Temple. Prior to this last take out order we only had one small issue but this New Year's Eve order was a train wreck. First we called the day before like suggested by the hosted to place an order for Dec 31st. Pupu for four -extremely greasy -batter on fried items were doughy -chicken fingers were over cooked -shrimp was undercooked -Pork strips were extremely fatty -got one egg roll Generals Chicken was over cooked and extremely bitter Pork Fried Rice was cold and seemed old Potstickers were burnt and inedible Missing the crab Rangoon Also, our order was placed to be picked up at 5:30pm. Got there at 5:15pm knowing there would be a line. Got in the door at 5:31 and it was obvious our food order had been sitting a while because the bag was cold and the chicken finger I snuck out of the bag was even colder. As for the place, completely unorganized. There were people in line that got in the door to find out their orders were sold to someone else. Plus they don't enforce the mask rules. Some local hick came in with her 5 kids non of the wearing a mask. When she entered the door to be seated, a man in the line said "they require masks inside" she replied "I called I have a medical condition and they said I don't have too". Never heard of a medical condition that prevented my children from wearing masks. Not a single employee asked her to put on a mask when she entered coughing... Ive been going here for over 10 years. I used to love it but it has gone downhill, both the food and the staff. Everything has a very weird aftertaste, especially the fried food. As if the oil has never been changed. The sushi is disgusting...soggy and the tempura was barely fried...mostly just doughy. I got severe stomach pains after a few bites of this food. The staff is extremely rude. I explained the issue with my food and they ran me around in circles instead of just giving me a refund for my unedible food. I will never go back. read more

My to go place for Chinese food in that area. Good food and friendly staff. Ordered to go yesterday for crab Rangoon, general saus chicken, beef teriyaki, and house fried rice. Crab Rangoon still crunchy after couple of hours and yummy. Beef teriyaki is tender and well marinated. My family always love their house fried rice, good portions and fresh ingredients. My always favorite is general tsos chicken. The chicken is crunchy and sauce is sweet tangy I always ask more spicy. read more

Spent $80 on beef & broccoli (fairly good); eggplant (so-so); crab lagoons (which were good); teriyaki chicken (tasted like shoe leather); chicken fried rice (horrible -- uncooked rice, oily and chicken was old -- we ended up throwing the large container out); egg drop soup (ok). What was even more upsetting was that they messed up the order. We had also ordered chicken with snow peas -- and steamed rice -- and didn't get it. When we called -- according to them we didn't order it -- even though we did -- which makes it worse because what we did get was too expensive. Ridiculous. Won't be going back -- ever. read more

Did takeout from this place and the food was just average smalltown chinese takeout. It hit the spot, but I have had better. I really their crab rangoon and scallion pancakes. Hunan beef was awesome and spicy! But the pork fried rice was underwhelming and I noticed that the boneless ribs had a lot of fat left on them, making them overly chewy. Two stars because they're next to a vape shop / smoke shop and walking in I had to navigate crowds of smokers loitering in front of the doors. Kind of gross to walk in surrounded by smoke to a restaurant where folks are sitting. Maybe there's not much they can do, but it really bugged me and made the entryway smell bad. read more

I have eaten here a number of times now. The sushi has always been good and they have new sushi rolls to try fairly regularly. The appetizers and main dishes are always fresh and they have some unique dishes. I would recommend trying the walnut shrimp, very tasty. The beef and mushroom always has very tender meat and fresh mushrooms. Andy, the bartender makes great drinks and you should ask him to make you something different and try what he comes up with. They have always been great. The wait staff has always been fantastic and appreciative. It is a good place to try. read more

My husband and I were really excited to see a new Sushi destination arrive in Milford, and since trying it for the first time a few months ago, we've been back regularly. The atmosphere is modern and clean, the staff is personable and makes you feel welcome, and the sushi chef rocks the house. We sit at the sushi bar when we go and we usually end up staying for a few hours because the sushi is great, the mai tais are tasty and strong, and the sushi chef is fun to chat with. We especially like the creativity of the sushi chef, we have tried so many new rolls at Jade Dragon! We especially favor the Crispy Rice Cake on the sushi starter menu. If you love sushi, you will not be disappointed! read more

Had a general gau craving with white rice. This popped up in Yelp. Figured I would give it a try. It was take out, but it was hot and very good. Sweet and a bit spicy. Had to order rice separately but no biggie. Family was very nice and dining room appeared clean but not very busy. Wish I could have had a Mai tai. Maybe next time. We had a very pleasant and attentive waiter who kept our glasses full and brought us a delicious meal.
