They did not notify me that my vehicle had been impounded, even though California law (Vehicle Code § 22852) requires timely notice. They also did not communicate when my vehicle was eligible for release. Unjustly not a vehicle code, but clearly shows corrupt intent. Instead of trying to contact me so I could pick up my car, it felt like they were more interested in letting storage fees pile up. From what I saw, they seemed quicker to move toward lien processing with the DMV than to actually get paid by the owner. Costs add up fast, and the longer your car sits there, the worse it gets.
