Awful experience with customer service. Initially, they came out, blocked a few holes, and set traps, which seemed fine. However, when they returned for a follow-up, they did such a poor job cleaning up that they accidentally left numerous traps behind that were supposed to be removed. That did not inspire confidence that they had thoroughly inspected the property before assuring us everything looked good. A few weeks later, we started seeing even more mice along with fresh droppings. We scheduled another follow-up appointment, but they never showed up. I took time off work specifically for the appointment. Since then, I've repeatedly called and messaged to reschedule, only to be told the next available appointment is over a week away. That is completely unacceptable, especially considering the missed appointment was their fault. The lack of urgency, flexibility, and customer service has been incredibly frustrating. Being offered only a single appointment option after they failed to show up is not how a paying customer should be treated. These guys seriously saved me! I was out of town for a month and when I came back, a mouse had moved in to the apartment. I had seen the drops but bot the mouse. At 3am the day after I arrived I saw the active mouse running around. I couldn't sleep while seeing and hearing the mouse so I went to a hotel. We live in the Outer Richmond and own a condo with a studio unit that we rent in our garage that has mice dropping issues. While I would normally do all the work to patch up all the entry holes myself within our own home - I'm a bit slower and didn't want to waste time while our tenants were dealing with mice issues. Getting a quote scheduled is simple with their online tool and Idan was very professional and provided an easy to understand broken down quote with options for "warranty" guarantees that I didn't get from other vendor quotes. Not to mention that it was a very competitive quote compared to others. Time will ultimately tell if the work they did will be enough, but I can say that working with them has been extremely quick, easy, and relatively affordable. ASAP Rodent cleaned our attic, replaced the insulation and filled the gaps so that rats cannot come back. Initially it looked like they did a good job but after a few months rats came back. They came back once again to solve the problem and then told that there are still too many gaps and they cannot fill those anymore so cannot solve the rat problem as there is problem with the roof. They missed to find this in their initial inspection. Now the attic is dirty again because of the rodents and all the investment was a waste. Now they don't even respond to my messages. ----- Update: A rep has reached out after seeing the review here and helping resolve the issue. I will add the details and modify the rating if they resolve the issue and honor the warranty. ------- Update 2: I don't typically engage in public discussions on review platforms. My original review was simply meant to share my honest experience with this company. I understand that issues can arise with any service--what matters most is how a vendor responds when problems occur. When the company reached out after my initial review, I was genuinely hopeful that we could resolve this together. Unfortunately, after several weeks of attempting to schedule an inspection and get the issue addressed, the company has stopped responding to my texts and Yelp messages entirely. The lesson I've learned: a warranty is only as valuable as the company's willingness to honor it. We have been dealing with mice like most home owners in San Francisco deal with especially during the Dec-March raining season and living on an open field controlled by CalTran. I decided to search for vetted vendors using Yelp since I have been an Elite reviewer for 5 years. I was satisfied with the quality of vendors, response, quality, services, Yelp reviews "stars" and price. I wanted to make sure I was comparing "Apples to Apples" when receiving various estimates. I decided to respond to 3-5 vendors, especially those who offered a "Free Estimate." Only Marin Rat & Rodent required a fee for an inspection. See their response which seem VERY unusual given all other estimates were FREE! "Hi! Sorry to hear about your rodent problem. We want to help! We can come out and do a full inspection of the property and give you a written estimate detailing what it would cost to fix the issue. The charge is $150 for the inspection and written estimate and we could see you as soon as Thursday" Needless to say, I passed on paying for an on-site inspection all the other vendors provided. We ultimately choose Rodent Solutions Pro given their on-site professional, price estimate was the most competitive given comparing all the vendors. I was very please by our on-site technicians Javier and Ludvin were professional, efficient and friendly during their nearly 3 hours performing their services. After writing this review and my husband simultaneously reaching out via text again that we were unhappy with the job, Dan came out the next day to do an inspection. We did appreciate this prompt response. He told us that they had only serviced the attic, and that now our problem is rodents coming in the crawl space. I don't doubt this is true, and their job was definitely helpful keeping the rats out of the attic, but we had been under the impression that they would also be sealing up openings - the few they did seal with foam (some of which had been chewed through) he said was something extra and not part of what we paid for. It doesn't however explain why when they came out twice more recently the guy told us there are no openings to the garage, but another company was able to identify multiple openings. We ultimately hired someone else to service the whole perimeter of the house and while it did cost a lot more, it seemed much more thorough for future rodent prevention. read more

I had decided to use their services to resolve my mice problem. The quality of the work could have been better. They were able to go in the crawl space of my home and I am assuming they did what they had to when they went underneath without really showing me visual proof (videos/photos). It was a two-man crew with one working in my garage where I had the mice problem bringing in tools, a vacuum, and traps, and the other crew member going under to do his thing. I did end up seeing the mouse come out of my garage pantry with the crew member and he ended up placing traps around the area where the mouse was roaming in the garage. This mouse (at least I think it's the one we both saw) ended up being caught within a day falling for one of their placed traps. The value-to-work ratio was okay, but where it could be improved is the scheduled follow-up which never seems to happen. I scheduled the first follow-up but they no show. So I had to schedule twice and again they no show. I may have been fooled into paying upfront for work to be performed (typical, contractor move rather than paying maybe half then full once follow-up inspection is performed) and not having them show up to check on their work during the two-week time period they recommended. Their original quote explained that they would cover a hole created by a mouse in the corner of my room as well as a gap in my garage door that can fit a mouse to go in and out of the bottom of my garage but they seemed to have missed those steps. There still may be one more mouse underneath my house as I can hear a noise at night so it would be really helpful for their team to come back to follow up rather than me checking as I did pay them to provide a service. The value was maybe a bit high ($1,800) just to place traps and repair wired entrances around my house although comments suggested otherwise when compared to other servicers. It makes me wonder if they follow through with their guarantee either. Would I recommend them? Not sure. I did try to handle this all myself before calling but I wanted to reach out to them to handle it as they are the "professionals". So far so good! These guys are amazing. i've been played with the roof rats that are all over San Francisco. Now these guys came in removed all of the stinky insulation deodorize the place and set traps as well as found holes that I didn't even know were there and plugged them up. We will see you in a few weeks if we catch any of the rats or they managed to keep them out for good. I contacted the company through Yelp on May 30. Idan responded immediately and came by that afternoon to assess my problem. I had seen active mouse activity in my bedroom window, observing a mouse running up and down my blinds then finding poops in my kitchen on the counter. I eliminated any source of food and had purchased some humane traps but the rodents didn't even bite. So it was time for the big guns. ASAP Rodent Exclusion Pros' team arrived on Monday, June 2 and did a detailed inspection and eliminated three potential entry sites and laid some nontoxic-to-my-dog traps which I will arrange to have them check on June 16. In the meantime, I was still having activity nightly and three nights ago, the activity ramped up to my witnessing them multiple times running up those blinds and then running across my bedroom floor. Needless to say, I had a sleepless night that night. So I contacted Idan and he made arrangements that his team would come back today to check for undetected entry points but he also suggested that it's possible that the mice are looking for an exit since all of the entry/exit points have been closed off. So Idan suggested that I open some windows and my patio door to give them a chance to leave. So sure enough, later that evening, I saw one going toward one of the open windows and apparently availed himself of it when I wasn't watching because there's been no mouse activity since then! Yay! Idan and Kate at the office have been super responsive to all of my calls and texts. Javier and Robbie did a good job closing off the entry points and I'm looking forward to a rodent-free future. Rodent Solutions Pro has revisited twice to check traps. They re-set traps in the crawl space and told me there was evidence of rats/mice still inhabiting that space. But what was really disturbing was evidence of a rat nesting in the stove, both just underneath the burners and along the side of the oven where the insulation is. It had apparently been coming out at night and eating the cat food. Javier and his partner were able to lure the rat out of the oven into the kitchen and, after much chasing around, catch and kill it. It was BIG! I couldn't believe how huge it was. (I hid in the bedroom with the door tightly shut, but I saw the photos afterwards. Javier and his partner cleaned up the stove and kitchen afterwards. I was very relieved that they now believe there are no more rodents in the house and will be back in a few days to check the crawl space again. I'm GLAD I got the extended warranty, which wasn't expensive at all and well worth the peace of mind. But I think this event would have been covered any because it's all still part of the initial extermination. You may be wondering why the cats weren't doing their job. One reason is the rat was nearly as big as they are. But I've fired them anyway. I'd rather count on Rodent Pro Solutions to keep my rodent problem in check! read more

They sucked out all the old insulation, sanitized the whole attic and laid new insulation, as well as sealing all the access points. Update: After initial complaints, Dan came out and inspected the property and agreed that the chimneys need wire mesh protection, and agreed to clean the piers of termite dust/droppings left behind by the termite guys. I learned from Dan that the work of sanitizing the crawl space was not to eliminate all the rodent droppings, but to clean the large concentrations and spray residual droppings which remained on dirt. Fine. Two weeks later, a crew came out to do the work, but had clearly not discussed the scope of work with Dan. As they were packing up, I had to inform the crew that there was not just one, but two chimneys that needed wiring. Over the next week, we were mystified why the toddler kept bringing in screws and staples from outside. Climbed on the roof to investigate a newly leaky ceiling in the area over the fireplace and discovered that the crew had left unused and scrap chicken wire, staples, and screws on the roof and chimney. Fine work. On crawlspace exploration a few weeks later, I found that the dirty piers were cleaner, but by no means clean (see photo). Not sure why someone would crawl all the way under the house to do a half-assed job, but so it goes. Will take care of completing the crawlspace cleanup job by myself. Will find someone else to do the encapsulation job I'd planned after rewiring the house for ethernet. They also left behind a six-foot fiberglass ladder. Thanks? read more

He Properly supervised his assistant and wore protective booties on his feet when entering and working in units that don't normally wear shoes in their apartments. They vacuumed and cleaned up well after themselves These were all apartments in a cooperative building where we have owners only. They pulled out appliances where they could and sealed up things. The only ding I will give is they didn't have a device to pull out a stove in one unit. They really need something to make that happen. Something with rollers? They sealed things in the garages,boiler room and trash area and outside perimeter. They provided excellent service and pricing for insulation I found out that one room is extremely cold. Today 03/04/22 Rodent's supervisor stopped by and carefully examined the surrounding. He detected that one place on the garage ceiling might be an entry to attic but builder never did. So he cut the drywall and went into the attic and found -- NO insulation in the attic.
