I can't recommend Productive Rodent Proofing enough. A few weeks after noticing rats in the garage, I started hearing them chewing inside the walls throughout the house. If you're reading this you know how gross and violating that feels. I tried traps with no success and was starting to feel pretty stuck. I first called another company who charged me $100 for a ~10 minute "inspection." They barely looked around, guessed it was the garage door, and quoted me nearly $1,000 just to set traps. That experience left a sour taste and didn't inspire confidence. By the time the issue turned into a real infestation, I knew I needed to call in the big guns. Enter Frank and Tom. Frank came out within 30 minutes of my call and did an actual inspection... garage, full exterior, and roof. Came home from a 2 week trip to find it with mouse dropping all over the house. Googled for pest control and was very disappointed at the "big box" companies expecting me to pay a subscription to have someone come over. Found PRP through yelp reviews and got ahold of Frank -- he was able to come out very quickly (within 2-3 days). Him and Tom did a great job and spent the whole day patching up all the spots in my home. I already knew of some bad spots but was surprised at all the additional spots that Frank pointed out. Frank patched the openings in the house and sanitized the infested areas. Meanwhile Tom replaced the flimsy cover for the crawlspace -- I really liked the craftsmanship he put into it. Everything was well documented and I also got a good education about rat/rodents and their habits from Frank. Tom has followed up with additional inspections after the traps have been set, and have not had any problems every since. We had a pair of roof rats get into our crawl space in 2024 and proceed to throw parties in our walls. PRP set up cameras and traps to see how many rats there where and to make sure he took care of them all. He came back multiple times over the span of 1-2 months to check on how traps were performing, reset them if they were triggered, and swap bait if the rats weren't showing interest. He also sealed up any pest entry ways he found. It's been over a year since he helped us and we haven't had any unwelcome visitors since! Frank left an exit route that prevented entry from outdoors and set traps. He also set up a camera to detect movement and came back the same week when he saw something. Then returned two more times to make sure everything was clear before removing his equipment and taking out the exit conduit. His warranty is one year. Frank is amazing!!! He actually diagnosed my issue over the phone and then zeroed in on the exact site of the problem when he came to my house. We had a mild mouse invasion that he quickly located and fixed. He identified where the mouse was coming in and sealed it off. He put traps out in case the mouse was trapped inside but I haven't yet seen evidence of its presence after Frank's service. When I looked on YELP there was another highly rated service, but the review said "expensive and worth it." Frank, however, spent a good deal of time fixing my issue but charged me an extremely fair price; and he didn't try to upsell me but identified the issue, fixed it, and charged accordingly (and less than I expected to pay. We have had an excellent and extensive experience with Frank and Tom and would (and have!) recommended them to anyone with a rodent problem. They are the best! In early 2024 we thought we *might* have one mouse in our kitchen. Turns out that we had many throughout the house. We'd dealt with them in our garage previously and thought we knew what to do. While we caught a few, there were always more and they were peeing and pooping everywhere. We even saw and heard them running around our living room at night. We quickly felt overwhelmed and grossed out and called PRP for a quote. Frank came out within a few days and spent a lot of time looking at evidence of the infestation and potential entry points. He gave us a ton of tips, was non-judgmental, and had a lot of great stories. He followed up with a reasonable quote and while we usually would get a few quotes, we felt 100% comfortable moving forward. Frank and the team came out a few days later on time as scheduled to seal up and block off numerous points of entry, clean and disinfect hard to reach places (behind large appliances), and set many traps. He also gave us easy to implement advice for cutting off food sources, even with our young kids and dog who all are messy and love to snack. Within the next few weeks Tom came by a few times to check-in and troubleshot. And within about a month all the mice were gone and we were ecstatic. However, we had to do an emergency house project a few months later. With contractors constantly in and out, and many doors open, the mice came back. We contacted Tom and because we were still within the one year warranty period, he came right back out to reset traps and troubleshoot. After about a month all the mice were dead and we were again super happy. But then a few months later, we caught a few mice in the sentry traps in our garage and knew they were back. It turned out that our attached next door neighbor had a raging infestation, despite using another pest control company. Because we'd blocked all the usual entry points in our house, they'd created a new access point between our houses. Tom blocked it off, we recommended PRP to our neighbor, and he quickly hired them. What started with a few mice droppings in the garage escalated to mice's"climbing" 2 stories up our staircase, and invading the main apartment unit on the second floor of our home to our shock.  We originally set traditional mice traps in the garage and in our apartment believing the mice would eventually be caught, and the issue would go away.  However, the mice droppings just continued to increase over time and were littered all over in the garage and started to escalate in our main unit.  At this point we contacted Productive Rodent Proofing based on a recommendation from a friend, and their reputation from Yelp. Within 3 days they came back and spent half a day rat proofing the house. This included decontamination, sealing all openings and installing traps. They were able to identify the issues, locate holes, and thoroughly patch em up whilst laying an abundance of traps with personalized bait and nonetheless their work was effective. Frank knows his quarry--he understands how rodents think and how to outsmart them. He has a certain respect for them, which I think is part of why he's so good at his job. He was able to systematically identify all of the possible entry points and seal them off. Plus, he has some truly entertaining stories about tracking them down in the past. Tom is a skilled and persistent carpenter. He went above and beyond the call of duty, painstakingly resetting our off-kilter, 100-year-old crawlspace door so that it sealed flush with the frame--effectively keeping the mice out. He also poured fresh concrete to repair the door sill and fixed a partially collapsed cellar drain that was serving as another entry point.
