Upon inspection in the attic is was not cleaned up as they said it would be. In summary, nice people, check their work, if something seems more expensive than it should be, get a second opinion. Be suspicious of "problems" that need to be addressed.

Fred and his assistant (I didn't catch his name) were on time, very professional and did very thorough work to repair the cracking mortar throughout our stone chimney. Not only did they completely tuckpoint (redo the mortar) the entire chimney, they also sealed the top of the chimney, and water sealed everything to ensure we will have zero problems for a very long time. Not a way to run a business! I cannot recommend this company to anyone, ever. UPDATE: After receiving a call from CSW, I wanted to add to my post for increased accuracy. It was reported that the sweep went to another house down the street for servicing the chimney. CSW apologized for the mixup, so it wasn't a complete ghost job. Having since scheduled with another company, I will not be doing business with them this time around. RECOMMENDATIONS: In the future it would be best for this company to conduct follow through to completion of the work. Nothing extravagant or time consuming. For example, the office person could make sure to call the customer for ensuring that everything occurred as expected. The office help could make return calls as promised. The office person could call the customer immediately after the sweep indicates that the customer "decided to postpone the job." If this step was incorporated, the job would have likely occurred as scheduled and all would have been satisfied. The simple things make a big difference. The sweep was very nice and so for that I have changed my rating from one star to three.

Firstly, they didn't do the cleaning correctly (their words) and spread…read morea thick layer of dust and whatever else was in the ducts all across my house (see pics for the bigger pieces, but a fine dust was all over everything). It was so bad i walked into a room and there was a haze in the air. To clarify, what they were supposed to do was close off the vents with plastic (i made the suggestion and their manager confirmed they were supposed to do that) I spent 2 days cleaning up after them to get the house somewhat clean. All they did was have someone vacuum for 15 minutes around the vents, he was outraged that the previous techs left the house in a state like that. To add insult to injury, due to their driver's continued negligence they damaged a drain in my driveway and the city's culvert. They have admitted fault in writing but still refuse to pay for all the damages and refuses to give their insurance information. (See damage in the pictures). You can see the grate is bent, it was attempted to be bent back into place by the technician before I could get a picture, but it was bent at a 90 degree angle initially before the attempt to hide it. As well there are broken tabs in the channel itself, as well as the city's culvert completely cracked. (I provided day of and current picture due to their claims the culvert looks different now so they won't fix it.) Be warned if they do business for you that as soon as they do something wrong, or break your property you will be left having to fight them to get the damages taken care of. All pictures referenced can be seen on my Google review. Update: in regards to the company's response. I did say they sent a tech out that day to vacuum for a few minutes. They did come out to do the cleaning again after I explicitly told them It wasn't done right and that I had doubts it was effective because I was never given pics of the completed state or the coils being cleaned. As far as good faith, I have emails stating the company's attempts to not pay, first they tried to say they won't pay for older driveways (twice in fact), this driveway is 2 years old. When that didn't work they also ignored three established contractors opinions for a guy they labeled (again in writing) as "their" concrete guy, who's business has been running about a year with minimal work to show on their website. This single contractor was the only one to say a far cheaper repair would work. So, in good faith I agreed so long as they guaranteed the work and if it wasn't sufficient they pay for the proper repair as well as any additional damages the improper repair might cause. (If it worked great, if it keeps popping out and causing damage to my vehicle because the lower part is damaged, then they rightfully pay for those damages as well) As well as repair the culvert, as discussed with that same contractor. They refused by saying the culvert "looks different" so they won't pay for repairs. As for the insurance. I explicitly asked the manager for the insurance information and the owner told him not to give it. If you truly are wanting to act in good faith then feel free to call today with your insurance information. I have bent over backwards to help this company save money on this repair... i could have stopped when the first few contractors gave me quotes $1000 higher. I could have just gotten my money back when they failed to actually clean anything and cause me substantial work and allergic reactions, I could have stopped at the repair quotes that wanted to completely cut off access to my house that would have cost them a week of hotel fees... i am the only one working in good faith here.

They were unsure which unit needed troubleshooting and did not bother to call for clarification. They went on site on Friday, and by Wednesday we still had no proper updates. They repeatedly told us they would submit a repair quote, only to finally admit--after 5 days--that they did not know what needed to be done because they were unsure which unit required service. This wasted 5 days of my time!When we asked to speak with the "owner," who was the one performing the assessment at the time, we were told, "You can't speak with him because he's busy working." We were also working and needed this issue handled promptly. If communication and follow-up cannot be provided because you are too busy "working," then that reflects very poorly on your business practices. The lack of accountability and honesty was extremely frustrating. :) And for future reference, the operator should never raise her voice at a customer. Professionalism and proper customer service should always be maintained. I was the one dealing with the issue and the unnecessary delay, so that response was completely inappropriate. I strongly recommend additional customer service training for her.

One of the power supply breakers to our unit was chattering and was hot. I called Compass and a technician was dispatched the next morning. He checked the situation and determined the breaker was failing due to age and not my HVAC unit..he obtained a new breaker and replaced the faulty one. The problem was solved better than new. My experience with Compass has always been OUTSTANDING!!!
