Not being aware that Sepsis in 2019 had contributed to declining physical and emotional health, I was finally diagnosed with Congestive Heart Failure in late 2025. The decision was made to move to Assisted Living. What I did not know was that the Executive Director, Jonathan Fetsko, and my brother made the decision that a minimal amount of my personal effects would be moved to the new apartment because what I had in the original would be overwhelming! Hair brushes, hand vacuums, etc.... The list goes on! I feel like I am being held hostage by the vagaries of the individuals involved. Hitler was the last century. An Addendum: I thought I had reached an understanding with Fetsko that I would be able to give a friend of mine the remainder of my personal belongings that would not be allowed in Assisted Living only to find there was no guarantee that they would still be there!!!!! From musical guests to special food tastings, outings to local attractions, and more. I especially want to comment on the smart, compassionate management of Seaton when folks get sick. They work hard to ensure residents stay healthy and are taken care of both physically and mentally if they need to pause in-person activities. I greatly appreciate the staff at Seaton.
