One of the worst experience I ever had...asked for a 25$ worth deep conditioning treatment for my hair....they just applied a pack to my hair and asked me to go home and wash it...They had to tell me this after I paid for my service.... I could have better gone to professional salons like ULTA and Mastercuts!!!! Please do not go to this place!!!! If they cant treat their customers well...then why have a salon!!! read more

The owner is very rude. Like everyone else said in their reviews if you're looking for good or even mediocre customer service skip this place. I've been going there for full face threading just because it's close to my parents house and their prices are not too high. I don't let them touch my eyebrows. Some of the girls that work there are nice but I hate going there because of the owner. I have been going to Ashima's Salon for about four years for my eyebrow and hair needs. Not only is Ashima the best hairstylist that has ever touched my hair, but every member of her staff is incredibly skilled at shaping my brows. I recently moved to central Texas, yet I still go to her when I need a hair cut. I have tried a couple products from her salon and they are AMAZING. Ulta can't stand a chance. Went on a weekday and there were hardly any people but after some time poeple started coming in. If you are expecting to go to a place which is super clean and things are done a perticular way then this is not the place to go to. The kind of service you receive is proportional to the kind of money you pay. I got my eye brows and waxing done. They a great job on the eyebrows but like other parlours they didnt apply cream after they were done. Waxing was done with herbal wax but again post waxing usually other parlours would apply cream and massage but they didnt do that here. So if great service is not in your mind then this is a decent place to go to. read more

I always go here when I am back in the Dallas area. I wish there was a place like this where I live now (Glendale, AZ). Great prices. Terrible customer service. But I'm okay with that as long as I do not have to pay $10+ to get my eyebrows threaded. I believe they charge $6 (might have changed?). Plus, who needs customer service when it takes 3-4 minutes to thread your eyebrows? I just want to get in, get out, and be on my way. No fuss. Also want to note that this place is decently clean. I tried another place in Richardson that charged $3 where the girl threading my eyebrows didn't wash her hands in between customers. Ick. read more

I don't know how sanitary this place is. The ladies wear masks which is great. They wear gloves however today I witnessed the same gloves being used on more than one person which in my opinion isn't sanitary. If you are touching someone else's face and then proceed to check them out while touching the machine with the same gloves and then doing the next persons eyebrows with those same gloves. That is just germs being spread around and even worse is that it's all being spread on the face when doing eyebrows etc which I personally don't think is all that great. Maybe try switching out gloves in between or just sanitize their hands in between the clients because what I witnessed today isn't what I want to go back to. read more

This is for their eyebrow threading service. I thought their service was great. What can you ask from a threading place. I went in, signed the book, they called me up, the owner threaded my eyebrows and I paid. Why 4 stars and not 5: Usually, once you get your eyebrows done, the threader hands you a mirror so you can approve the job. Here, she did not. She just said she was done and I believe expected me to get up from the chair. There was mirror in front of me so I did check on her work. It was fine. Besides the mirror issue, I was happy with the service and the results. The owner was very quick with the thread, and at the end of the day...that is very important when someone is yanking hair from its root. I would go back. read more

I come here often. I always get the full face and eyebrows. Well, this time the lady who helped me did an awful job. Ashima had to fix it for me and said the job was not finished. I was upset because the lady was going to let me go with an unfinished job!! My eyebrows are awful, although Ashima tried to fix the eyebrows I was still very unhappy. I told Ashima I was not going to pay the $5 for my brows. I continued to pay for the remainder of my service and instead of making me feel better about how awful my brow job was she told me to never come back! After being a client of hers for OVER 10 YEARS!!! HORRIBLE. I went in on 4/20/2019 and was there for nearly an hour!! read more

I have been to many threading salons in and out of the US but this is not one of the good ones. I got my lip threaded and parts of my body waxed. Their prices are decent but not for the wax they use. It was homemade out of a plastic bowl which they slapped on with butter knives and used clothing strips to pull off my hair. The owner was very rude and walked in on me while I was getting waxed with my shirt off. They never closed the door to the room and every employee came in there. I wasn't even asked if it was okay for a second employee to come and wax me at the same time as the other woman was waxing me. It was all very uncomfortable and I was overcharged as well. I will not be going back again and traveling to Care Boutique in Richardson instead. It is out of my way but the service is amazing. read more

I always trust that they will do a good job 95% of the time. You have to let the women know exactly what you want, don't be vague. If you explain what you want your eyebrows will be the way you want them to be. If you don't they WILL make them thin honey... don't catch yourself in Walmart trying to buy shit to fix your eyebrows because you didn't explain what you wanted. Know what you want when you get there. The women who work there constantly chatter in their language but that's expected when you're paying only 5$ to get your eyebrows done, so don't think there's too much professionalism. I have been a Yelper for years and never felt strongly enough to write a review until now. DO NOT GO TO THIS ESTABLISHMENT. I did, and I regretted it. Hear my tale of woe below. I went in to get threading, a simple task. That part was actually OK. While she was working on me, the lady tried to upsell me to get a facial. I had a big party coming up, so I thought, fine, why not. I talked to her about what different types they have and she recommended an herbal facial. I said fine; she took me back. FIRST RED FLAG - the room was filthy - nasty, stained towels, and a little gown that looked like it hadn't been washed in awhile. Still, I thought maybe they just don't have good laundry detergent. The facial proceeded like normal, except the sponge that she was using on my face had a weird odor to it. Then, when it came time for extractions, she did not spare me any pain. But whatever; it's supposed to hurt. I figured it would be fine. I was trying to relax with the mask on, when all of a sudden the door bangs open and another lady walks in with another customer. She takes the customer to the other bed in the room, which I hadn't noticed before. SECOND RED FLAG - it was super awkward! By then, I was just ready to get out of there. I didn't have to wait long; the facial was over in a short 30 minutes which wasn't worth the price I paid at all, but again, whatever. I left. The real trouble started the next day. Sorry for the TMI, but over the next several days, INCLUDING THE DAY OF MY EVENT, my nose was covered with nasty, pus-filled pimples. One of them was so large that someone commented it looked like a staph infection. Never, in my 33 years of life, and at least 13 years of getting facials, had I ever had a reaction like this. I was mortified. CLEARLY THE EXTRACTION TOOLS WERE NOT SANITARY AND GAVE ME THIS NASTY INFECTION. I called the salon owner, and she said "maybe it's the weather." I was so pissed and asked for my money back - it was the least she could do. She told me she couldn't do anything without seeing it and told me to come in the next day. So I dragged myself there, as busy as I am, because I wanted my money back for this disaster. There, in front of two customers, I was subjected to the most humiliating treatment of my life. The owner and her two workers proceeded to tell me "it's just a pimple;" "maybe it's your hormones;" "maybe it's the weather;" "it's natural to get pimples with a facial on sensitive skin," etc. I did not want to argue and just wanted my money back. They refused. I walked out in tears. This has been the worst customer service experience of my life. This place deserves to fail miserably. read more

I am new to the area and wasnt sure where to go so I decided to give this salon a try...BIG MISTAKE. I made an appt. for a wash and blow dry and when I get there the woman says it will be $50...Are you freaking kidding me??! Since it was Fri. afternoon and I didnt know where else to go I said OK...SECOND MISTAKE. This woman was so rude...after a few insults about my hair she says that she is charging me extra b/c I have thick hair(FYI...if you work in a salon and dont know how to blow dry thick hair then you should find another job!) On top of that, while you are getting your hair done the other creepy, rude looking woman just sit around and stare at you( Hey...your salon is filthy...get a broom and start sweeping up some hair or something!) WORST services & RUDE customer service experience EVER! I went in for an eyebrow tint and they ended up using hair dye on my brows and BURNING my skin! Let me start by saying eyebrow tinting is NOT hair dye! Anyways, once the procedure was done, I told them I couldn't see a difference and was very upset and they wanted to re-apply the same color dye (which was the wrong color and blame me for it, as professionals they should know which color to use in the first place!) which I refused because I did not want them to burn my skin again. They also did a facial threading which ended up cutting my skin and leaving horrible rash that I noticed when I got home. The owner was extremely rude and would not even give me a discount after I told them how disappointed I was and how I couldn't even see a difference in my eyebrows at all. EXTREME horrible service I've experienced in my life ever. In her own words she said "No discount, you took too long and I have other clients to take care of!" Like, I am a paying customer and should be taken care of for however long it is that I am there for, they are there to serve me and what I am paying them for! This is the worst place ever. Don't ever think of going here. All the workers here are careless and do not care about the services they provide. Worst customer service ever! They completely screwed up my eyebrows. One eyebrow is significantly thinner than the other. The shape is messed up and I have nicks around my eyebrows where the threading was done. The lady spent less than 2 minutes to do my eyebrows, didn't even ask what I wanted or hand me a mirror to see if I was ok with the results. Instead of concentrating on what they are doing, they constantly try to sell other services and products. Never going back here!!! I went in with my daughter to get her eyebrows done. Told them that I only wanted her to have her eye brows wax!! I got my eyebrows threaded and was wondering why my daughter was still in the chair. After I told them to only waxed they took it upon themselves to ask my daughter if she wanted a full face. Paid for the service only because I believe in paying for work that is done but will never be going here again. I have been a customer of this location for awhile and this is sad! I told them that I said to only give her eyebrow wax that's what she gets every time she goes. Lady said we always ask the customer and I told them I'm the customer and I was the one paying and she is a minor with autism and that they should have done only what I told them to have done. I was upset that she was rough and did not correctly finish getting wax off my face, had snappy comments, and over charged me. My sister bought me a gift card from Ashima two months ago, and when I presented the card for redeeming, I was told the card had already been used. This was based off of a handwritten notebook with a line drawn through my name. She refused to show me a receipt indicating the card had been redeemed, and she also refused to give me the card back because she indicated they keep tthe cards when presented for use. The never swiped the card to show it had been used. My sister's receipt shows the card was purchased on a different date from what was recorded in Ashima's notebook. The reason for my bad review rating is I took my pregnant wife to get her eyebrows done for a family event that we were having. I got to the salon at 6:45. Before getting to the salon my wife called the salon 3 TIMES but no one had answered the phone there. My wife knowing that there is some many ladies working there, there should have been a answer to her phone call. So me and my wife got to the salon at 6:45 the OPEN SIGN WAS ON, but the doors were locked. Either sign off your sign or change your open of operations online. Who ever is running this business needs to put her ladies in check. You have to understand that we're driving a distance to your salon for a reason so please leave your door unlock during running business hours. Or if you decide to close early TURN OFF OUR OPEN SIGN!!!! read more

WORST SERVICE! They don't know how to treat customers. At the time of billing when I questioned about extra charge for waxing I was asked to prove that I had only full arms done!!! Ashima's has very good service good rates and ashima herself is a wonderful person very helpful with her tips and suggestions love the place very clean neat and spacious Only concern is their customer service not a deal breaking issue but they do need to work on in that area., especially when they answer the phone they are not audible at all and once they know it's an Indian on the other end they start talking in Hindi but not all Indians require to know Hindi they should keep their conversations in English in phone or in person. The next thing is they have a lot of non Indian clients and so typically their service for them is of more priority and more professional. For example when I went their the last time, I had made an appointment and asks specifically for one of them because she's really good but while working on me 2 customers in the reception area got up and left and the one working on me left me without excusing herself and ran to the car park after them and she came back still dint apologize for leaving me n continued, I found this very rude n unprofessional I don't want to actually mention what that act means but I'm sure it's understood. Also when two of them work on u its not manners to talk in a language the third one doesn't understand which they do in front of the customer So despite all this I would recommend ashima's just for their service and ashima herself .also ask for Seja she's really good no one has ever done my upper lip as painlessly as her! read more

This place was horrible customer service, and if u ever call back to complain about an issue and they say "come back we will fix for free" don't believe them, because that's what happened to me I drove all the way out there expecting to get my eyebrow tinting retouched, because the first time they made it, it disappeared on the 2nd day, and the rude lady told me she couldn't do them for free again thar she at least had to charge me 1/2 price. If they ever ask u to do a tinting don't do it not worth it, too expensive as we'll, u can get the tinting kit that will last you for like 8 applications for $6-$9 bucks on eBay. And it will take literally less than 5 min to apply it yourself. One more thing, the girls that work there couldn't even admit which one was the one that had done it for me when I pointed her out.
