Looking at the reviews that had been posted about this business, I wasn't expecting a great experience. SURPRISE! I was wrong. We had made a reservation for service and the techs were on time for us at each station. I had a manicure and the other 3 in the group got pedicures. My experience was great, my tech was good with conversation and my gel nails looked very nice. The others in the group said the vibe in the back room was relaxing and that they felt totally comfortable. I'm planning to return soon for another mani and one of the pedi people is going to do a mani as well. Thanks for the service! read more

IDK what's up with the terrible reviews, but I went to NY Nails Ashland today for the first time for a pedicure and loved it. It won't be the last time I go, either. The owner, David is arrogant, rude, and ignorant. He asks you a question and before you can give a response he is yelling at you. I simply dish it right back to him and will allow him to complete the nail job once he has calmed down. You almost have to reprimand David as if he is a child. They hardly have any business and are never busy. David and his wife Amy are very good nail technicians. Amy is very sweet however she does not speak or understand English very well. read more

I wish I can give this place a BIG FAT ZERO!!! Please whatever you do, stay as far away from this place as possible!! I've called ahead of time to get a price for a fill in & after he was done he went up on the price by a lot. I simply said to him very respectfully & calmly that he told me a different price over the phone, then out of nowhere David (Dave) the owner became very rude & disrespectful & started yelling & screaming at me, which I was not having it, not even a little bit!! I was really caught off God because it wasn't that serious. But he continued to try and over-talk me, so we went back & forward. His attitude was extremely disrespectful & disgusted. I noticed he was giving the only 2 black women attitude for no reason and I didn't even know the other black woman & this was out of 7 customers in & out as I sit there. He had a very nasty disposition towards the black women in there & his wife was no better. At the end of that little back & forward, he got the amount he told me over the phone & I told him he will lose many good paying customers because he is a rude & dishonest businessman. I have been a loyal customer of this salon for around 3 years.. pre covid!! I've never had issues there and in fact have helped them figure some things out over the years when there was a language barrier or something David didn't understand. I've never had an issue. Amy has always done a wonderful job on my nails and I come every 3-4 weeks to get a new Dip Set and a Pedicure. Recently I was told by David that I could no longer come at 9am for an appointment and that 11am was as early as I could come. I assumed it was temporary and made the appointment. (I drive 45 mins each way to this salon by the way. Also, I drive a school bus and thus the reason for me wanting an early as possible appointment. ) The last time I was in, I was told "I'll talk to you" and they agreed to give me an appointment at 10am, even though they open at 9. He never "talked to me". Today I went in for my 10am appointment. (Always arriving on time or early) and when I inquired about a 9am appointment I was told that "she just didn't want to see me until 10am or later" to which I responded "but you open at 9?? So, can anybody else come at 9?" To which he then proceeded to tell me " yes, just not you". What!?!?! So I asked "why?" He was very rude and aggressive and told me " I don't wanna talk about it"... again, WHAT!?!?! I WILL NEVER SUPPORT THIS BUSINESS AGAIN! I am so blown away and have taken this almost as a personal attack of my character, which is not acceptable! Be ware if you choose to support this business that this is how they treat a customer who has been loyal, always on time to my appointment, go every 3-4 weeks for the last 3+ years, and a great tipper! Very poor business ethic!!! Also, language barrier is no excuse! I have used Google translate over the years at times in conversion and I used it again today, mostly because I could honestly believe what he was saying! read more

Rude employees with horrible customer service! These guys need a lesson on the customer - business relationship. They treated me like my business was unimportant, so I left! No manners or courtesy. They treated my Alzheimer's mom with disrespect. My mom has Alzheimer's and sat down at one of the employees' desk. One technician addressed my mom VERY rudely and told her to 'move, he needed his desk'. I told him he was disrespectful and he became belligerent with me, the customer! I'm sure these guys are talented, but I'm sharing a horrible experience at this establishment after having them disrespect an elderly woman, my mom. read more

Went here for a pedicure last month and contracted the worst case of Athletes Foot I have ever had. In the future I will only go to a nail salon that sanitizes their foot spas after each use. A very important proceedure that many salons do not practice. read more

I've been using these people for over 10 years. They moved from bowling green to Ashland and I (along with many others I know) have followed them there. They are always on point and know me by name and know when I'm in a hurry and when I have time to be leisurely. Their products always last the longest on my nails and I like that all of the techs are equally talented. read more
