I've purchased over 10 thousand dollars in furniture from this store after we purchased our home last year. We went back 2 days ago and purchased another end table. We specifically asked the salesperson what the return policy was because we weren't sure it would fit our house. She told us, 3 days for a refund. After delivery, we noticed right away the piece wasn't what we wanted, so we called immediately and asked if we could drive it back in and they told us "only certain items were able to be returned in 3 days" and this item could not be refunded. I purchased a Luna 5 x 8 rug from Ashley furniture in April 2016. I also purchased an almost $400 In home warranty during the purchase. The rug has been falling apart since day 1 and the in home warranty doesn't seem "to be able to help". The person who sold me the in home warranty advised me that ALL of my items purchased would be covered by the warranty. DO NOT TRUST THESE SALES PEOPLE! This has been a horrible experience. I ordered a sectional couch from Ashley's. I was told i would get my delivery on 02/13. I ordered the couch in January. I called Ashley's to confirm my delivery because i did no t hear from anyone and was told my couch was on back order and i will not receive my shipment until 03/13. I asked why wasn't i contacted to give an option if i wanted to wait or select another couch that i could get sooner. Customer Service did not care and did not try to come up with a resolutions. I had to go into a store to actually speak with someone! How inconvenient. I was told because my sales person quit. I really wanted the couch i selected so i decided to wait. I received an text message last night stating my shipment was in it'f final stage. I was so excited. My couch was FINALLY getting delivered!! To my surprise i was delivered a half a couch. The delivery driver stated. "You weren't told" and said i will have Customer Service call you. Guess what? Customer Service never called me. I have been trying to contact Customer Service for 2 hours and all i get is an answering machine. Please be aware before ordering from Ashley's....If i could give no starts i would. Purchased a dining room table and six (6) chairs. We were told that everything was in stock. Ashley HomeStore, Airport Road, advised us (after hours, of course), that they would be delivering the dining room table and two (2) chairs the next day. We called to both cancel the delivery with dispatch (successful) and to cancel the purchase with sales at the store (which the person we spoke to told us would be done). She also told us that our sales person would be calling us back at or around 12:00 PM to explain what happened and to confirm the cancellation. We never heard from her that day or since. Not sure if they're formally cancelling the credit card charge or not. So we called our credit card company to advise them of the situation and they immediately gave us a "purchase credit." We don't expect a call back from Ashley HomeStore and will never purchase anything from them or their franchise owner, City Furniture (same building on Airport Road in Boca Raton). Customer service is extremely poor. Still cannot believe that nobody called to advise us that most of our order was not in stock for delivery. Very disappointed in this company!! read more

Now, the people there are fairly nice. Their delivery policy the is a bit ridiculous. I wanted to buy a little dining set that had four bar stools. They were unwilling to charge the delivery amount for one piece of furniture because to them it was five individual pieces. Mind you, they were displayed together and listed at a single price as a SET. So instead of charging $60 or so, they wanted to charge about double that because they counted it as multiple items. It was honestly such a turn off that I just left because the policy felt like a manipulative kind of squeeze for more money. read more

What started as a really good visit ended awful. Charlene greeted us at the door, introduced herself and asked us what we were looking for. We were there for a sectional we had seen at the Sunrise store. We live in Boca so it made sense to come here and try to find it but in hindsight, we should have driven the extra half hour to the other location! We loved that there really was no pressure while we browsed, but we now understand that it's when you cash out that they get you. We ended up finding our sectional, and added 3 more wall pieces. My husband is closing out and this is where the issues start. Charlene did a full 180°. She would get visibly upset when I would question the extra charges. She changed the financing without even explaining what it meant and racked up an extra $1000 on the sectional itself. I asked for the breakdown and she would shortly YELL "I sent it to his email!" One of the wall pieces was $399, with a 30% off. She took it upon herself to decide that we would be better off financing it and only taking a $100 discount on it, as opposed to explaining our options and letting us know if we pay with a separate credit or debit card, we can keep the $120 discount. It just made no sense. She wanted to explain nothing and just get the sale over with, making decisions that she had no business making. What annoyed her more was me, rightfully so, asking her to change everything back and doing the financing that would give us the posted prices. Had we not done that, what was a $3500 purchase AT MOST, would have been easily a $5500 purchase. I'm not sure what the commission structure is like and what she gains from a higher purchase, but I just don't think there's a time to trick people with their money, specially during a PANDEMIC. She literally took the excitement of furnishing our brand new house that we just bought and we definitely won't return to this location. read more

My father-in-law bought a "leather" sofa and loveseat less than two years ago from the Boca Raton store. The salesperson stated it was real leather and not bonded. Both the loveseat and sofa had the finish erode in spots. When my father-in-law called the store to see if there was anything they would do to remedy the situation he was told "there is no warranty". BEWARE WHAT YOU BUY AT ASHLEY FURNITURE HOME STORE and do not believe what they tell you. The merchandise turned out to be crap. We had to hire a furniture professional specialist in repairing leather who fixed the problem and cautioned that this is BLENDED LEATHER mixed with vinyl and not real leather. My wife and I found a beautiful table at this store on 11/22/20. We bought it and were delighted that we could pick it up at City Furniture the same day. Ashley is part of City Furniture and each Ashley store is independently owned, which we found out later. We decided to wait until the next day to open the box and put it together. We discovered that the table top was totally different than the one on the store floor. We immediately called customer care. They asked for a picture, we sent it to them. They agreed the table was not the same. They brought out another table on 12/04/20. The delivery man came in and saw the table he was to exchange and informed us that he brought the same table. He did not make the exchange, understandably. We asked him to just take the first table with him because it was the wrong one. He informed he could not and directed us to customer care. They informed us that they would not take the table back. They informed they would further investigate the situation, naming other departments that could assist and asked if they could call back in a few days, they did not. After five days past we called them back. Again they said the same thing and again they did not. We called them again they informed us that each store was independently owned and each store has their own return policy. I explained, we are not returning, we just simply want the same table that is in the store. They referred us to the sales person, Susan. She also asked for pictures via text and she also agreed it is definitely was not the same, via text. No one at Ashley nor City Furniture will take care of the problem. Sue at Ashley has consistently let us know that she is empathetic but informed that her mgr. Caesar could not get anywhere with City Furniture and referred me to the temporary GM Shirley, her solution has been not to call me back!! . We asked the Wells Fargo Visa department in January to suspend the payment, they did. Still no results. Ashley informed Wells Fargo that they delivered another table on 12/04/20 but gave no receipt or evidence of doing so, because no delivery was made. Wells Fargo rejected their reply. Still, no results.Today is 02/10/20, almost three months later. Why wouldn't they just want to take care of us? We paid them before we even received it. this place is the worst. We waited almost 2 hours on black friday to order a dinning room set, not only did the sales associate put in my wrong info but had to get managers approval at least two times. I understand that they were very busy and if we didnt really like the style of what were were getting we would have and should have left. The scheduled delivery was a few days later so we waited most of the day to find out after hours of calls that it wouldnt be coming. (another day wasted) another hour on the phone and we were told it would be coming the next day between 5 and 12 at night. we were supposed to get a call day before and a call an hour before delivery but So far its 7pm with no call. I have called the customer service number and they close at 6, the so tryied tracking on the web sight but its dow, so we called the manager of the store again and were assured me its comming. At this point if it doesn't come we will be getting our money back and going to another store. other then being completely wowed and delivery in the next few hours my rating will remain the same. ( update) they came WITHOUT MY TABLE JUST THE CHAIRS AT 11PM . Im now told the table is on back order. If I could give this company zero stars I would. I bought living room furniture and the delivery guys from Ashley Furniture damaged my front door. They didn't admit it to me and I didn't inspect my door when they left. I only inspected the couch. That was last night. I called customer service this morning when I saw the door had been damaged and got no help. This is after purchasing more than $3000 of furniture. This company does not stand by its customers and there is plenty of competition. If they're like this with my door, I would suspect they're irresponsible with standing by their extended warrantees, which are big money makers. read more

We recently bought a home in Florida and needed a new sofa. We picked Ashley because we could shop for the furniture in Ohio and get it delivered there. I'm sad to say our experience has been poor. Their furniture delivery people are absolutely horrendous. They threw our furniture around and manhandled it when they delivered it. A few days later, we notice a rip in our brand new sofa. We call them about it....we're covered under a manufacturer's warranty and an extended warranty...."Sorry, that is not a manufacturer's defect." Well, what is it? A brand new sofa that's only been sat on a few times that was probably ripped by your employees. I definitely do not recommend this store. There are plenty of great furniture stores in Boca. You should definitely go elsewhere. We bought a table from them too, and when they delivered the six chairs that went with it, the chairs were bouncing around loose in the truck and not even covered with any kind of protection. I would really like to give no stars. Ordered furniture last Sunday. Worked with Suleigh. Was told one piece was on back order other piece could be delivered Thursday. Then changed story and said both pieces could be delivered Saturday. We ordered and they charged our credit card on Monday. All weeklong we received confirmation that our furniture would be delivered Saturday. Friday night we confirmed with an agent in customer service the furniture delivery was still on for Saturday. We promptly took our old furniture out to the curb for garbage pick up. 15 minutes after the garbage truck arrives Ashley furniture calls and tells us the only thing they are delivering is the furniture cleaning kit. Calls to the store or worthless.... Manager Ryan explained that they have customers that wait months for furniture... Couldn't comprehend the predicament he put me in or that they didn't deliver on the promise they made to me.. I also complained about the 9AM-11PM delivery time....Ryan said they would never give that long of a time frame...I have the text and email to prove it, he obviously doesn't know his company very well!!! Ashley does not value customers or show respect for their time. The sofa that was finally delivered is a piece of crap. The tacks in the back to secure the upholstery are either missing or stick out. The upholstery at the legs is frayed. The cording around the pillows are separated from the pillows in many places. You will regret using this company or the one they are affiliated with, City Furniture. The quality of their products and their don't care attitude couldn't be worse. They deliver our $2,000.00 mattress with frame, but the frame is missing a part. "We are so sorry, we can reschedule tomorrow from 9-6. (I asked for a morning delivery because I had to catch a flight in the afternoon.) Just discovered our month old new couch from Ashley/City Furniture in WPB, FL is defective in that the bottom seams of the non-detachable cushions are ripped at the seams, obviously poor workmanship. Ashley warranty department will do nothing about it, except send an inspector out for 50 dollars. We spent alot of money on furniture there and regret it due to the poor quality of the furniture and customer service. Wish I had believed all the bad reviews ti begin with. read more

Absolutely ashamed by this stores way of handling their business! We purchased a bed set for the lightning the headboard was shown to us. 3 different settings. We received the furniture back in feb and the headboard lightning did not operate the way it was shown in the store. They sent us a new headboard, STILL did not display the settings. From this point they sent a repair person who said it was the lighting set up and needed better wiring for the settings. Told me 2-4 weeks for the new wiring to come in. A week later get a call that they can no longer order that lightning so they would send ANOTHER headboard. Same problem. Sent me a $50 voucher that expired basically a week later. We had to go back into the store and reselect a whole new bed set. We also reselected our mattress since that was so uncomfortable. Received new furniture this weekend, and they sent the WRONG mattress! Just no sincere apologies at all. We called to let customer service know. At this point we realize that the mattress we ordered with the new set needs to be 14 inch rather than 12 inch. 12 inch your legs are resting on the wood to get off the bed painful! Their response? Sorry no to 14 inch only 12 inch no reselect allowed! But you sent us the WRONG mattress.. we haven't even received the mattress yet! SERIOUSLY after all this trouble starting from feb and the INCONVENIENCE on time for deliveries and nonsense! You cant even make a 14 inch happen! Not to mention we had to spend MORE on the new furniture because the original product was faulty.. I have been a manger for 12 years, and in no way any tangible company I have managed for would ever leave a customer this so dissatisfied and irritated, customer always comes first! This is literally the worst furniture store ever. I've just recently moved to the area about a month ago and ordered a bedroom set from there, I cleared the room entirely for the furniture and upon delivery one of the dressers backboard was damaged making a huge hole in it. After setting everything up they wanted to take the whole dresser back and have me wait a few days instead of just replacing the backboard. I had nowhere to place my belongings so I asked customer service to just replace just the backboard instead of the whole dresser itself and they were very rude on the phone. They were willing to inconvenience me as a customer to make the job as convenient for them as possible. About 10 days later they made a delivery and ended up bringing the wrong dresser, although they had taken several pictures of the dresser and i described it to customer service. In the end, I waited about a month for them to do something they told me they couldn't do in the first place which was replace the backboard! I would never do any type of business with this store and I do not recommend it to anyone! read more

I have never dealt with such poor costumer service. I purchased a taupe sectional. It came on 3 pieces, two pieces taupe and one black. When I called to tell them they delivered the wrong piece they told me it wold be 10 days before they could exchange it. I said we couldn't receive it that day because our neighborhood doesn't allow deliveries on So they changed it to Saturday. I couldn't under why they couldn't deliver it sooner. They have next day shipping when you purchase the sofa but when they make a mistake it takes ten days to fix it. I called the the salesman we bought the sofa from. He called me back after 2 days and said glad I got everything worked out. Um I didn't. But I left it be and waited for my furniture. The Friday before the delivery they leave a text message saying it is coming on Sunday. I call them and tell them that we have it scheduled for Saturday because our neighborhood does not allow deliveries on Sundays. They proceed to tell me then they have to schedule for another week out. Again their mistake and we are paying for it. After an hour we get them to change it to Monday. I called the manager of the store (Tony) to tell her my disappointment. She says she will call me back and never does. Saturday comes and I get two separate texts. One saying the furniture is coming Sunday and one saying it's come Monday. Needless to say they try and deliver it Sunday and get turned away but our guard at the gate. Finally we receive it on Monday. I write an email to the president. He had someone from costumer service call me back. She left a message and the only contact number she gave me was to costumer support. It was maddening dealing with these people. It was an issue that could have been easily resolved but instead they were so difficult and they wasted my time and there's. read more

We were shopping for a small dinette set. We found the perfect size at Ashley furniture Boca raton Florida store. We were going to pick the set up the next day at their warehouse but our salesperson convinced us it was better to have it delivered and assembled. We paid the extra and were told it would be delivered on a Friday before 5:00 pm. We would get a call between 7 and 9 am the day of delivery to give us a window of delivery time. When we didn't get a call we called and were told we were never put on the schedule and they would deliver it between 5 pm and midnight. We called our salesperson and were told it was completely assembled and would only take 2 minutes for them to place the furniture in the house. They would be there at 9:00. They arrived at 10:30. Now the restrictions were in place in our gated community. We had to go to the gate house, bring the furniture to our place and it was not assembled so we then had to put it together. When I called the customer service department the next day to complain the service representative was rude and unhelpful! NEVER again will I shop there. read more

Now we are stuck with no couch. Very bad customer service. The sales person must have just wanted a sale when they told us they could use a balcony to get a couch on the second floor. The drivers had no notes about this and customer service said you will just have to get a smaller couch. The drivers were nice and sorry but no one else was. When I told customer service I was disappointed she actually hung up! We are mostly mad because now we have no couch. They should not have told us they could do it prior to us buying the couch if they could not. In the end, we may end up needing a mover to do what we need but it will not be with a couch from here. Very pleased with my purchase from Ashley Furniture in Boca Raton. We purchased a beautiful gray sectional and modern chrome coffee table. From the moment I walked through the door, I was greeted by smiles and a very positive attitude. The salesperson's were not pushy, but were very helpful in navigating the store and explaining current promotions and sales. Our salesperson was Lexi, and from the start she was so personable and helpful. She promptly asked what we were looking for and personally showed us each option. She was very knowledgeable and helpful when we explained our room shape and size and color and fabric options. She promptly checked to ensure each item was in stock and available to be delivered ASAP. She made us feel valued and supported as a customer throughout the entire process and made our experience shopping at Ashley at true joy! Delivery and set up was friendly, prompt and speedy. Do not do business with this place. What you see on the floor and what they deliver are not the same quality item. My Father and I went to this store to find a chair for him - he is turning 90, so support and ease getting out of is very important. We looked at a floor model of the chair, and purchased it. What was delivered was defective - the left back brace for the chair was misaligned so there is a gap and the chair is not squared up. The covering was not cut correctly etc. After many calls and emails, with no response they finally sent some one to look at the chair - this took over 2 months. He said it was warrantable, but not a manufacture defect. What? They finally delivered another chair - it had the same defects. The delivery person said that all 4 that they looked at had the same defect. They would not take it back. They do not and will not be getting any of this model in stock. I had to provide pictures that showed that the floor model and what they delivered were different. They will not refund your money. STAY WAY FROM THIS COMPANY. read more
