My husband and I were shopping for living room furniture and were greeted by Kanan as we entered the store . We told him that we were "just looking ", he directed us to the living room area of the store and asked to let him know if we desired any assistance. We found what we were looking for but decided to wait and see if we felt the same the next day. My husband took Kanan's information before we left. We returned the next day, Kanan was with another customer but waited for him. He thanked us for returning and asking for him. We showed him what we wanted, he answered our questions about the internet price difference. We placed our order . Everything about the buying experience was irritating and frustrating. I decided to do an order online from this location and I made one separate order and there were five items in my order. Not only did they charge my credit card for almost $4000 four times in a row, then they charged for each individual line item. In total, my credit card had almost $19,000 in pending charges on it and rendered my card unusable until this was cleared up. I paid a $300 delivery and assembly fee and online, underneath of that price, it had in parentheses, " for entire order". So if you see that you would assume that it was FOR THE ENTIRE ORDER. but it was not. They only applied the $300 delivery and assembly fee to one $500 dresser. On what planet would I pay $300 to have a $500 item shipped and assembled that I could realistically do myself. But, a $300 shipping and assembly fee sounded reasonable for five items which was on my order. I called customer service and in a condescending way she tried to explain to me how even though it said for entire order, it wasn't for the entire order. OK fine, I needed the furniture so I didn't have her cancel the remainder of the order. As each item, one by one on different days, was delivered to my new home, not only was it haphazardly thrown in the lobby of my building but the last item was a mirrored night stand. I opened the package and it was cracked in 3 places and had a huge scratch on the top. They offered no expedited shipping on a replacement. The dresser that I paid $300 to be assembled was to be delivered this week. I got a phone call from an unknown number from someone saying that they were from Ashley furniture and they were calling to schedule my delivery but they left no direct return number and barely spoke English. I had to call the mainline and get transferred from one person that I could barely understand to another person that didn't speak English and kept calling me "mom". They couldn't give me any type of time frame on when it would be delivered. Typically you get a window of time that you need to be available. They couldn't do that so I had to postpone it for another week and a half until a day that I actually could dedicate to just sitting in my house for an entire business day. I have a full-time job and two small kids that are in school. Who has an entire day that they can just be sitting at home waiting for furniture?? It's ridiculous. Anyway, I'll never buy Ashley furniture again. Period. read more

I purchased a bedroom set in summer 2017. I don't usually get warranties, but the salesperson told us that we'd be entitled to a "full refund" of the warranty cost if at the end of the 5 year warranty period we had not used. Because of this, I opted for the warranty and set a reminder to claim the refund if the warranty had not been exercised. I just called to claim my refund and now, 5 years later, they tell me that I get a store credit. A store credit is not a full refund. The furniture we purchased has worked out, but I'm writing this review to draw attention to this breach of integrity. read more

I enjoyed working with with salesman Kanan. That was the only good experience I had. The rest has been a total disaster. They were supposed to deliver my furniture (5 pieces sectional) around mid June. When delivery guys arrived for the first time - one of the pieces was damaged, one came without legs, and other 3 came with a dirt (like it was and dirty). I agreed to replace all pieces, as I thought it was coincidence. After that they have tried to replace different parts for 3 times already (which means I lost 4 days of work for nothing, as they need you to available all day in order to deliver/exchange). And they keep bringing damaged/dirty pieces to replace it. This is just unbelievable. I called the store, and they told me to contact service department, lady over there without my knowledge put me on hold, where I spent over half an hour, then I left her a voicemail which was never returned since July 29th. I called store again, spoke to manager (Keith), he sounded deeply concerned, asked me to send him pictures, which I did - and told me he will get back to me next day. Since that was before a weekend - I asked him to contact me on Monday and update me - I haven't received any email or phone call for almost 3 weeks, even tho I was emailing him and asking for an update. Last week I received an unexpected call from delivery - they wanted to replace my chair again. And guess what - it was damaged again. I emailed again to Keith and Rania - no response. I honestly feel like I don't want to deal with this company anymore. I has been dealing with these issues for 2 month already before writing this review, and was trying to be patient and understanding. But this company will not care about you in case something will go wrong. Your money, time and energy will be completely wasted. So be aware. Ashley has HORRIBLE customer service!! We ordered furniture from them in March of 2021 and it arrived a couple months later. While we were building the bed they had delivered, we stood up the headboard and it cracked apart into multiple pieces . We then discovered that they sent us the incorrect side slats. We contacted Ashley and they told us they could not get new parts to us until October 2021. We were very upset and they told us there was nothing they could do. Then, our furniture got delayed until March 2022!! We spoke with the corporate office and they were awful. They stated that they could not give us a refund or any credit because the purchase was finalized and "we should have opened every box when it was delivered". This is ridiculous given that the bed came in multiple parts and we would not know we had incorrect and broken pieces until building. Our replacement parts ended up arriving at the end of November, and when scheduling delivery, the customer service agent said they would build the bed upon delivery due to all of the above hassle. Of course, when they arrived to deliver, the delivery men said they could not build the bed because it was an online order and despite what the lady had said, they refused. This was an EXTREMELY frustrating process and Ashley Furniture was nothing but rude the entire time. This is no way to treat a customer and they need to have a refund process place for situations like this. Do not shop here!!! It is a waste of time and very poorly run. Visited the store in August 2021 looking for a couch. Surprised by such a large selection and variety compared to other stores we visited. Plenty of salespeople around to answer questions and help measure to figure out what will fit in your space. Kanan helped us out and there was literally zero pressure to buy anything, and he was pleasant to work with finding something we liked. Ultimately we did buy a larger 3-piece sectional that day. Prepare yourself to wait for delivery, which in our case was 3 1/2 months. But delivery date set up via the store customer service once everything was in stock and the actual delivery were a breeze. DO NOT SHOP HERE. My experience with this store was terrible. I was overcharged and received poor customer service throughout the experience. Additionally their protection plans are a rip off and do not actually do anything if your items are damaged. I purchased a table and four chairs with a protection plan from Ashley on May 14, 2022. I was very excited by my purchase and when I got home from the store looked up my table online to send pics to friends and family. At this point I noticed the table was over $260 cheaper online. I called the sales person and after a lot of back and forth they agreed to reimburse me for half the difference. They claimed they couldn't give me the full difference because I'd get the money back on my warranty if I didn't use it and their delivery included set up of the table. I begrudgingly agreed because I liked the table a lot. On July 26, 2022 my table and chairs was delivered. I checked the top and the base and everything looked fine so I signed off on the table. There was a black line in the table top but it was minor so I let it go. Unfortunately due to some health issues I wasn't able to use the table immediately. I finally got to enjoy a meal at my table on August 10th. As I was eating I noticed a rough spot on the side of the table. At this point I noticed a crack. I inspected the entire endge of the table and noticed 3 cracks. I called the store the next day and I sent them pictures. Eight days later the store came back and stated the cracks were cosmetic so there was nothing they could do. Additionally all defects must be reported within 72 hours and there were no allowances for health issues. But they said to contact my protection plan and they could take care of it. I called the protection plan and opened a claim. Unfortunately they said that they also couldn't help me either. My protection plan is for 5 years but anything in the first year falls on the store so I should call them back with my claim number. I called the store back only to be told no but I could appeal to the service center. I did this and was told because I'd reported damages outside of the 72 hour window after delivery there was nothing I could do and this decision could not be changed. They said to call the protection plan company back and explain this and this it's on them to fix. The protection plan company said that because the damages could have occurred prior to or during delivery it wasn't covered. Only accidents caused by the customer were covered. Because I couldn't remembered a specific incident causing the damage it was on the store to fix. In all I've made over 10 phone calls and every time I've been told it's the responsibility of another party. I will never purchase anything from this Ashley or any other Ashley furniture store again. This was my first expensive furniture purchase and I am extremely disappointed. Not only did they refuse to fix or replace the table, no offer was made to provide even a partial refund or a store credit. read more

Kanan R. was a wonderful product specialist, and saved us significant money on a purchase I made on a very tight budget. When he noticed the low stock, he made sure to expedite our experience so that I would not only get my sofabed, but also get it shipped within a week! He was amiable, funny, and very kind. My mom and I were blessed by the experience. I'm so grateful. I did purchase the 5-year warranty and will be better off from it, because there's not a kind of damage under the sun that isn't covered. And if by some miracle I don't want a full replacement, for any reason, after the 5 years and up to 90 days afterwards I can use that reimbursed cost as a store credit! Terrible customer service. Bought a sofa - upon delivery, it became clear it would not fit in its intended room. Before sending it back, I called the store to verify I would not be charged provided I "switch" it for something else. When I went back to discuss the switch, I was informed I would pay a new $150 delivery fee on top of the $150 delivery fee already paid. When I pointed out to the manager that I had called to verify that I would not be charged, he said he was "on my side" and could make the delivery fee $99. I would give it a -5 if possible. I purchased a three piece reclining couch in December. It was delivered in beginning of January but one section was too big and we attempted to return the section. It cost us $69 and a trip to the store to pay for the pick up. The heating element in the couch stopped working 5 days later. I had purchased the 5 year protection plan. When I called to have it serviced I was given the run around that it was a manufacture issue and to call the store. 3 phone calls later I was told someone would call me in 5-7 business days to schedule a time for the repair personnel to come to the house. I find this unacceptable to have a broken $6000 couch less than a month after purchase and would have to wait over 2 weeks to have someone come repair it. I asked the store for a refund in which case I was give the run around again. I agreed to pay the 30% restocking fee and another $100 for them to come pick up the couch. They currently have the couch in their possession and still have not issued the refund. The customer service is AWFUL!!!!!! Everything is a 3-5 business day wait. They picked up the couch last Friday. I had to wait until Wednesday to confirm it was picked up with the warehouse to attempt to get my refund. They issued half the refund but not the second half. I spoke to corporate yesterday who told me to go to the store today. I had to put a dispute in with my credit card in order to get any action done from this company. Ashley Corporate said I had to cancel the dispute in order to get the rest of the refund. I was told today I will have to wait another 3-5 days for the system to process the canceled dispute request and return to the store to get the other half of my refund in 3-5 business days. Shady business practices and poor customer service. The sales team is absolutely the example of the stereotypical pushy salesmen. We ordered a couch and some bedroom items in late October and in March the items were still not delivered. When we called we always got the response that we should wait another month. No one ever contacted us to give us any type of update. On March 26th we canceled and got our refund for the items they told us "magically " the items could be delivered in a week. I told the salesperson I didn't want to hear itbandbto stop attempting to keep my business and like the poor class salesperson he was attempted to persuade me and pressure me into staying. Mind you none of the furniture had the sale price (just an outrageous overprice figure that they put in to make the "sale" price good look). Once we found a couch that we were serious about. The sales agent had a pricing sheet, with the information regarding the price of that couch. The price they gave us for that one couch that we were interested in was: regular $2,200 on sale for $1,300. I still thought that was high, we looked on the web and found the exact same couch for $589. When I asked about price match they said no. So we walked out and purchased it on the web . I ordered 4 pieces of furniture in February, I was asked if I wanted them shipped separately or together. They said the last piece would be ready in 4 weeks(3/15), so I said if it's all ready in 4 weeks then together is fine. Around 3/15 when I called they said that they only had 2 pieces and the last won't be there until mid July. So I said I'd like to take them up on the shipping separately option since I'm living in a new house and some furniture would be better than none. That is no longer an option "due to gas prices", I'm welcome to come pick up stuff as it comes in or wait for it all to be shipped in what they hope will be mid July unless it gets pushed back again. I understand that things are taking a lot longer to get, I also understand that ETAs are always changing. But don't offer to ship stuff separately, and then change policies and say nothing can be shipped until the last piece is ready. We paid for delivery, we were told we can pick it up but the delivery fee doesn't change because they still plan on delivering the final piece in 3 more months. read more

***Save yourself and DO NOT buy furniture from here or any Ashley Furniture Store!*** Ordered a couch on Labor Day and was promised 2 - 4 week lead time. Fast forward to December and it finally arrives (4 Months Later). It arrives with a tear in the leather at the rear right side and was hidden when the delivery driver pushed it against the wall. 30 minutes later I find the damage and report it to Ashley in Fall Church, VA. They tell me a tech will be out shortly to fix it. The tech doesn't arrive until mid march, 3.5 months later!! The tech was incredibly rude and did a horrendous job trying to fix it. He left and staples all over the floor and trash everywhere. When I nicely asked him if he thinks it looks like the other side (undamaged side) he responded "No" and that he doesn't care because he doesn't work directly for Ashely. See below for pictures of the repair job vs. what it should look like. When I called the store to speak with Hermela and the manager, they were extremely difficult and unsympathetic. The only responses I ever received was that it was out of there hands and I need to speak with the service department. When I called the service department I spoke with Yanzi, and yet again another rude employee telling me there is nothing they can do and that the repairs made were up to manufacturers standards.....Anyone with two cents can look at the below pictures and see that this is not the case. When I tried to explain my experience and fill her in on the situation, she repeatedly interrupted me undermining what I was trying to express. Is it too much to ask for an undamaged couch you spent over $1K on? Apparently... And to make matters even worse, when the tech came to make repairs, he did not protect the floor or couch when repeatedly flipping it on its side which caused damage to all of the wooden feet (see attach photos). Its pretty pathetic to think if I had not called in the first place and lived with the tear at the back I would have less damaged then I do now after a tech came to my home. Instead I have wooden feet that are damaged and the side of the couch looks terrible. It is now March 24th, over 7 months from the purchase of this couch and it is still damaged. I found a sofa on ashleyfurniture.com that looked like it would meet my needs, but I had some questions, and I wanted to see it in-person, so I called Ashley Furniture - Falls Church. Sales Manager Mark answered. He was incredibly helpful and patiently answered all of my questions. He even gave me tips on how to save money on my purchase. When I visited the store, I placed my order on the spot. Mark informed me that delivery would take 4-6 weeks given the popularity of my chosen sofa. Do not order from this store. It has been an absolute nightmare dealing with this joke of a company. I ordered a couch back in August and was assured it would fit in my elevator. When it arrived 12 weeks later, it of course didn't fit. It was returned to the store. I put off buying another couch for a while because I didn't want to deal with them. I finally ordered a new couch on December 4th. I was again reassured it would be a MAX of 12 weeks. The salesperson swore up and down it would be there. It should have arrived at the latest on Feb 27th. It is now April 26th and still not here. This place is awful. They will do absolutely anything for a sale. read more

I bought two barstools from Ashley furniture. They looked wonderful, however they were and are awful. I had to replace the entire seat assembly after only three months of using the chairs. Subsequently the replacement seats are flat as a pancake as well. Quality is abysmal and the service is just about the same. I came here when we were looking to buy a new sofa, but left disappointed. The selection of sofas were just okay, most of them are meant for large spaces & large homes, not for smaller apartments. When we came in, we were greeted right away, and then told we would be left free to browse, but then felt like we kept getting followed throughout the store. I bought furniture from Ashley Furniture in Wisconsin when I first graduated from college and needed something inexpensive. Now married and in my mid-30s, I was looking for something a little more upscale and nicer. The sofas here seemed to be of cheap quality, a lot of the sofas I sat in, I seemed to sink into (they were too soft), and many had sewn in back cushions so you can't remove them to fluff or clean. We spent 15 minutes looking for couches in here and left without finding anything. If you are looking for cheaper, comparable to IKEA furniture, this will do the trick. But for me, I'd prefer to go elsewhere. read more

I am still in shock as a customer care agent from Ashley Furniture HomeStore just hung up the phone on me this morning. I bought 5 furniture items for which my card was been debited at the time of the transaction. To my shock, the next day, I found an email from Ashley Homestore that one of the items was delivered, and my card was charged again for one of the items which were part of the fee I paid initially. I reached Ashley Furniture HomeStore, and according to them, I will be charged each time I receive a delivery of each of my 5 items, which is being delivered separately. So, they placed a hold on my card for the total amount, which will be voided in 3 days, like a whole 3 days, while they will debit my account separately each time I receive any of the items. So they delivered the items, debited me the second time, and my hold for the total amount was to be held for 3 days. I was shocked at this disclosure, which was totally wrong and unacceptable, as I called my bank and was informed I was debited for the whole amount, including the second double debits. I called the customer care to see how they could correct this; and the lady I spoke to was rude like she already got my email, she went through the whole explanation like a robot, and as I tried to explain that the debits on my cards were wrong and that shouldn't be the right way, this lady literally hung up the phone on me. This has never happened to me and I will make sure it doesn't happen again. My guess is this, their online process is a whole mess, and since they obviously know it's difficult to hold them accountable, you are treated with disregard and disrespect. read more

BUYER BEAWARE!!!! This place is beyond HORIBLE. I wouldn't recommend this store to the worst enemy or want anyone the headache to go through by going in to their store. We purchased a couch from their store in Jan, the sales person told us.. the maximum it will take is 3monthes for us to get it, fast forward now 6monthes still they don't have the exact date, they keep telling us it is coming in March, April, may, June and now we are in July.....It is really frustrating, the so called manager is telling us we can get our money back , like they are doing us a favor after waiting 6monthes. The sales, managers and everyone who work there is rude and disorganized, they don't even know what their manufacturing is doing so they can't give you the correct date. What kind of business is that????????????their excuse is always, the factory is giving them different dates, the factory sent some parts but not the other, Covid and some other non sense. Please save yourself a heartache and spend your money other places who want to do business and who have respect to their customer and time.
