AVOID THIS STORE AT ALL COST (Ashley Homestore-Manteca). They will waste your time and money. They're nice when selling their products but when it comes to delivering your items, you will be frustrated. I had a really really bad experience with them. The store cannot be contacted directly so you will have to drive back and fort to speak to a Manager about your complaint which i believed it's ridiculous. Their customer support is worse. They'll make up bunch of excuses to save their asses. My first delivery scheduled didn't show up, the next attempt, I got 1 bar stool. We waited 1 hour and half past the delivery window just to see 1 FUCKIN bar stool. Excuse my language. I don't normally throw this kind of words out there but this store deserved it. We waited almost a month for these items. We were assured by Dec 08 that we will have everything. There are a lot of Furniture Store out there who can provide the best care and customer service. If I could give this place a 0 I would! They are liars and scam artists. I purchased furniture from here in August 2019. When I selected the furniture I was told it was in stock, lie # 1. I sold my furniture that same day. The furniture did not get delivered until 2 weeks later. Before it came I received at least 3 phone calls and text messages about them changing the time of the delivery. I had to keep changing my work schedule. When it finally did come, the ottoman was damaged. I refused it and they said they wouldn't have another one for another few weeks. Finally I receive my ottoman. 2 months after purchasing my furniture I see a new charge of $244.30 on my credit account. I dispute the charge with the credit company. They in turn deny my dispute and say they spoke with Ashley Furniture and it was for the ottoman they delivered. That was a part of my original purchase. I have been calling their so called customer service and store for weeks, and no one ever answers, or when they do, they say they only deal with the deliveries and cannot help. I finally reached the store yesterday and the girl who answered was rude, and said customer service was on "lunch" at 2pm. I said your whole customer service department is at lunch and she said yes. She assured me a manager would call me back that same day. Here I am, at it again, trying to reach a live person. This place is terrible. We had purchased furniture in the Modesto store 08/21 we are now at 09/08 and on the way here to pick up in Lathrop we receive a vm of our loveseat and chaise being back ordered so I'm like okay we will just pick up at-least the sofa and tables but we get here and sofa is also on backorder never was it stated in the voicemail and I have that to prove it and won't be in till the 23 we had a second truck with us to help us load our 14 piece. Now we have a tables only with no seats to sit on I asked for a second number and they don't have any but the 2097072150 and said I can call the front and they can pass down the message I've been calling since Friday to avoid this and the front can't even get through they also try getting through the dispatch and they couldn't get through. By far the worse experience ever I've been here waiting on the so called items they have since we here, we have to make the trip worth it and all I hear is the phone ring constantly and not one of them have picked up the calls. -5 read more

This location deserves 0 stars for customer service!!! I made a purchase in store and half of the order was not ready for delivery, so I had to return to the store to pick up this half of the order. I arrived at 5:50pm just to be told pick up closes at 6 pm so I cannot pick up my order. I ask to speak to a manger and he came out with the worst attitude ever!! He looks up my order and tells me he can get it delivered to me in a few days but don't know the exact date or time, just to be home whenever they can deliver it!!! He then goes to put the delivery in the system to only tell me the items are back ordered and never mind about the delivery now. I was told my order would be available for pick up on July 7th, I should up to the store on July 10th and my order was not ready, I don't receive a call that my order was or was not ready! As the manger thought I was beginning to get frustrated he decides to simply cancel my order and tells his colleague to hurry up and cancel my order, and I can just go somewhere else to make a purchase. Let me start if I can give this place a 0 stars I would/ Me and my wife purchased a Couch and Dining set here including the warranty that cost more than $3k lol I called customer service to change the date of our delivery to be pushed back and she stated that the other part of the couch won't be delivered the next month/ I informed wife and we decided to cancel our order/ I called customer service that I wanted to cancel our order/ next day the salesperson calls me on my phone and states that's he help me and my wife with the purchase of 3 hours of his time lol are you serious and yeah also add with that he talks about his commission / after I got off the phone I called their customer service to confirm my cancellation and some lady tells me that I need to be there present and signs forms for the cancellation/ WTF so I head there with my in-law to finally settle this nonsense/ finally got things straight that We didn't want our purchase and cancel order/ just heads up be very carefully when you purchase here /lol I should of checked this before I went here the 2nd time lol this place is full of B/S read more

Worse place ever! If I could give it a 0 star I would of. I had an appointment to pick up my merchandise, they ask you to walk into an office, when I walked in you see the csr's on their cell phones and 1 of them was scratching or playing with the other girls hair. Very unprofessional. They didn't have my furniture ready. When you stand in the back where they ask you to park your vehicle so they can load your merchandise they said it's only going to be around 10 minute wait, you see guys in the warehouse and none of them had the audacity to ask who I was or what I was going to pick up. I had to actually ask how much longer after waiting for 20 minutes, they said 10 more minutes. It actually took 2 hours to get my merchandise they didn't have my items in stock. I told them that I had actually called and checked in the front and no one mentioned that my items were not available. Worst customer service we have ever experienced. They delivered a dinning room table with no hardware to assemble it. We paid extra for them to assemble it. They told us they would be back within 7-days to assemble it. three weeks later, still haven't shown up. Refuse to answer our calls or return our messages. We went back to the store and got even more run around by the manager and sales person. They said we can't get a refund and they don't know when they will get hardware for the table. We wanted to purchase "in stock" furniture so we went to Ashley Homestore Outlet....what a mistake. Beware of inept service at every step of your purchase from the salesman to delivery. Our sales rep, Isaiah, was so inexperienced that he ordered the sectional facing the wrong way and did not complete the steps with us to confirm the setup of the sectional was correct (which I later found found was mandatory from the manager). Then we had to refuse delivery of the bed we ordered due to defects in the hardware and then wait over 25 days for delivery when we were told by the store it would be delivered the next Friday- because it was "in stock" and we told them we were sleeping on the floor on a mattress (due to us getting rid of our prior furniture in expectation of our initial delivery). Then the store told us to pay out of pocket to a delivery service they set up and it would be credited to my store account but we have yet to see a credit. I have called the store without success numerous times, emailed the store manager and lodged a fraudulent claim on the account with Ashely. I recommend finding somewhere else to make your furniture purchase. read more

From the start I was greeted by Pence as soon as I walked in. I had came in to see some couches I saw on the Ashley's furniture website, and he led they way. He showed me similar styles before I just settled on one, and glad he did because we ended up purchasing a different sectional. He gave a good deal so I was able to get a sectional, recliner and rug all for the price I was going to get one sectional for online. We got our couches and we love them! I took off a star because their delivery fee was pretty pricey when most furniture stores deliver free, some even hauling your old couches, here they do neither. Delivery time also came a day late, but they were quick with setup and did cleanup after themselves. We will be shopping at this location again. read more

By far the absolute worse By far the absolute worst in both customer service and quality of product I have ever received from a company. Purchased a set for my daughter's room - 3 pieces. Items were assembled and delivered (which we paid a fee of $150.00 for). Delivery windows are set from 10-3pm - not convenient, but standard by most companies, which I understand. First delivery - 2 pieces arrived damaged. So damaged, we were unable to open the drawers. We called to report the unsatisfactory delivery of the product, they said protocol is to receive, and a new delivery would be scheduled right away. Several calls later - a 3rd party "inspector" needed to come and asses the damages. Yet another appointment we needed to schedule and take time out to wait for the inspector. Inspector comes, writes a long report, takes pictures and confirms 2 pieces are damaged and beyond repair. We can now proceed to schedule now our 3rd appointment for the 2nd re-delivery of our new furniture. Long story longer... 4 months later, I have gone thru over 10 calls to their customer service department, have had 2 cancelled deliveries - with "item didn't fit on the truck" as their excuse. We have beyond put our calendar on hold, taken time off work, and are still ll waiting for my 3rd piece of crappy furniture. This is beyond the worst company I have ever dealt with. Supervisors are worthless, my appologies, but either they aren't in, or don't get on the phone. My daughter's room has been upside down for 4 months, and no one seems to care. We decided to go with Ashley Furniture for the purchase of our sons bunk beds; as we had a very pleasant experience when purchasing our sectional sofa back in January. My husband order the Halanton Twin over Full bunk bed with assembling for an additional $69.99 online on August 5th. Delivered from their Lathrop location; as shown on product label. An outside contractor arrived early to deliver and set-up on Tuesday, August 27th. But these men were unable to install our sons new beds; because Ashley Furniture neglected to add the hardware. They mentioned that this was not the first time Ashley Furniture had done this to them. Before they left I was put on Victor's personal phone and was told by an Ashley Furniture dispatcher that they would call to re-schedule. They had my husband phone and e-mail info, but I decided to also give them mine as well. Just Incase. It is now September 3rd and neither of us have heard from them.. So today my husband decided to reached out to them himself, at 9:29am. They made promises to handle our situation right away, but also requested photos of the materials that were left behind; in our garage by the men who delivered it, via SMS text message. I did so, and right away received an auto text response claiming that it was received and that they would get back to us soon. That was at 1:25pm. Neither my husband or I have heard from them, so he attempted to call again at 4:49pm and was put on hold for 20 minutes and by 5:19pm his call was disconnected. He attempted to call back, but by this time; they had closed. Our kids were very excited to get their big-boy beds and were very upset to see the installers leave without having their beds installed. They since have been sleeping on their mattresses on the floor. My husband and I are very disappointed with how they have neglected to handle our situation, and hope by sharing our experience publicly that they take action in fixing their mistake. read more

My fiancé and I purchased $16,000 worth of furniture from this store to furnish a brand new home. The salesman was great. Everything seemed to be fine. That was until they delivered all of our furniture. They only delivered half of our couch, which I had to call and wait on hold for 20 minutes to schedule ANOTHER delivery day for the additional piece I was missing. When they delivered one of our tv stands, they did not put any of the shelves or doors together, my fiancé had to do it. They delivered us two lamps and only ONE lamp shade. And I was not going to wait on hold again for 20 minutes to have that mistake fixed, therefore I just purchased shades from Walmart. THEN, I attempted to set our sound bar on the top tier of our entertainment center and it collapsed due to them not drilling the screws in properly. Again I had to contact Ashley furniture and wait on hold again for about 15 minutes for them to schedule a tech to come out and place epoxy in the holes and attempt to fix it, instead of replacing the broken piece. I also paid extra money for insurance on the furniture and they did not want to replace anything. Yes, the furniture is decent quality, but their customer service and delivery drivers are TERRIBLE. I will never buy from them again or ever recommend them to anyone. Very disappointed. read more

Terrible experience. I went in hoping for the best after seeing all the bad Yelp reviews, but it happened to be the only place I could find a dining table I liked. We paid for it and scheduled delivery. Come delivery day, I waited all day and they never showed up. When I called to ask why they said because I denied delivery. It was a lie! I had in fact confirmed TWICE the day before by text and phone call. On top of that, I was notified the table was now on back order for an entire month! Once it was finally delivered, the table is cracked and we were missing a chair, which we again had to wait for! all in all, Don't shop here. all the bad reviews are right! read more

The furniture itself is ok. It's not great, and it's definitely not worth all of the hassle that comes along with the delivery process. Oh and DO NOT USE THEIR FINANCING. First, they tried to sneak an extra charge onto my account. It took several phone calls, but that finally got straightened out. I paid my furniture off and requested my account be closed. It wasn't closed. I found this out today when I got a bill with erroneous charges and late charges already applied to my account. It appears that someone decided to use my credit account. The staff is rude and there is a staff named Pakiza working that has a mean and EXTREMELY BAD ATTITUDE. My mother just passed away and to be spoken to the way she spoke to me was disheartening. The manager Jesse is being paid for nothing because he does NOT assist customer issues, nor does he advocate for customers. Jesse even bragged about ASHLEY having a "big name" however, he couldn't assist me with solving my issue with their defective furniture or mention that they are stealing customer's money. ASHLEY FURNITURE is sellling innocent customers defective furniture and REFUSING to REPLACE or REFUND customer's money. I will be spreading the word to EVERYONE that I know and meet; so that they will not be taken advantage of too. I'm giving this place 2 stars because I love my couches. But as far as answering the phones and their delivery service and overall customer care they get no stars. We spent a lot of money on a livingroom set and waited over a month for everything to come in. We waited that long so there would just be one delivery of everything all together. A month passed and delivery day came and guess what?? Not everything was there. The set of 3 tables was missing and one part of our couch was out of the box and delivered under a moving blanket as if they just picked it up from a garage sale. We drove to the store to speak to someone because getting someone to answer the phone in itself is a miracle, and we arranged the tables to be delivered. The tables came a week later and they were all scratched up. UGH! So I called and miraculously someone answered. She, to my delight, was very helpful and ordered us new tables for an even exchange and put our order on a "VIP" type order so it actually gets looked at for damage before being placed in the truck for delivery. Apparently looking for damage is not done on a normal basis and the delivery service is a 3rd party so that in itself causes it's own issues with delivery time and damage control. So here we are 3 weeks later still waiting on tables......they never called us. I had to call them and they told me the tables were not there yet but would be there the next day and we could have them delivered in a few days after they arrive. We received a text for our 4 hour window and that time has changed 3 times now. Apparently you have to keep your whole day open when waiting for furniture as they have zero control over the times for delivery. So needless to say it has been very very frustrating. I'm sure not all encounters with this place is this frustrating but this time definitely has left a bad taste in my mouth. read more

HORRIBLE customer service. Don't waste your time here deal or not. Furniture is not that great either. I ordered a bed and nightstand which was delivered today. When the guys were putting it together he told me that the order was missing the wood slats that hold the mattress to the frame since there is no box spring. I calked their customer service number and got a complete idiot on the other end who couldn't answer my question. I then text my sales guy at 9am and he said he was on his way in and would take care of it. At 2:40 I text him back for an update and his response was you need to come in and purchase the mattress support. Really? WTF? You did my order 3x to make sure it was right and you forgot that very importantly piece! Then the charging port was also missing for the nightstand and I was told that's at the store and to come get it! Sorry John maybe you get your ass in your car and deliver both items to me! My shopping experience was actually very good. Maria, the sales associate, met me immediately as I entered store, and was quite helpful in finding what I was looking for. That is the end of the good. We scheduled the delivery of the chairs and fire pit. I received a text confirming the date of delivery, and I followed instructions to confirm on my end. The delivery day arrived, and after I had not heard anything by noon, I called to check on time it would arrive, and was told it wasn't even on the schedule. They offered the following Thursday. OK.....what am I going to do? Well, this scenario played out 3 TIMES! 3 delivery days scheduled, 3 times the day comes, and they just don't show up with absolutely no notice. I cancelled the order. I guess I should be grateful, because I thought I was saving 45% by shopping at outlet, but after a quick google search, I realized the prices are not discounted at all, and I could find the exact same item from other sellers at the same price. Do yourself a favor, and just keep driving when you see the Ashley Homestore sign!!!! read more

I ordered a couch and was told I could pick it up two weeks later at the Lathrop location. When I went in to pick it up I was told I would have to make an appointment and come back or there would be a 1 to 2 hour wait. I made the appointment and arrived at the pick up time I was given. After being told it wasn't ready I waited over an hour for it to be brought out. I finally went back in and asked, only then did they look at my paperwork. I was the. Told it wasn't in the right location in their warehouse. After waiting another 20min I was told they had 7 of the couches I ordered in stock, but couldn't find any of them. I was told I would be given a call, but if I didn't receive a call, I should be the one to call them. After a total of 2 hours I left empty handed. Myself and pregnant wife wasted a 4 hour trip. No one there seemed to know what was going on and for such a slow day, nothing was organized or ready. I'll never attempt to order or pick up from that location again......oh and I have still not received a call, or the furniture I purchased. read more

You can't return anything that you buy there because they claim to say they have a no return policy. Manager says that he'll call you back and never does. The technician comes out and blames everything on the delivery drivers. Takes forever for technician to get a hold of you, after customer service tells you that you'll be contacted in two days. Bought some couches, didn't want to wait for delivery and was told we could pick up in Lathrop, but to make an appointment. We called for an entire day, but no one answers the phone. I called customer service, and was routed to SoCal. They couldn't help me, but we could go without an appointment. We drove the hour an half arriving 15 minutes after opening. We were told they had our couches, but it would be an hour. No worries. Looking around the showroom, I found a few other things I wanted, but before I purchased, made sure they had them in stock and I could take them home. Oh yes they said, we have them, but it would be an additional 1 1-2 to 2 hours. Ok, and we purchased. They call me to let me know my order was ready... but they do not have 2 of the items. But I could pay for delivery. When I said to cancel the order, lo and behold they found 1... it would be a few minutes..an hour later. No dice. So now I want to know when can I pick them up, they have no idea. Now I want to cancel my order. Oh sure, we will put 317$ back on the card. Ummm the amount was $450. Once I get that squared away, then I have argue to get the tax reimbursed... we don't refund what you put up front . Let me rephrase, I didn't pay a deposit. I paid the tax. Because you financed, we don't refund what you paid up front. You are only refunding 450$. You owe me $450 + tax. Where is the tax... once again I'm told they can't refund what I put on my debit ( the tax). Now I'm hot, I state, how can I say this where you will understand, at that time I am told to calm down and not speak to the staff that way.. I arrived there at 10:15 am and left at 3:00 pm. Not once did I ever see anyone answer a phone. When I asked why they do not answer the phone, they told me they do, it is nonstop calls. Horrible customer service. I will never go back. read more

Ordered a new bedroom set! Absolutely love it and want to personally thank Ashley the employee who help us! She was amazing and so what the rest of the crew. Ordering was very easy, paperwork went smoothly, but the pick up was a bit of a mess not only was it pouring rain, no order to the line people rudely going in front of you and for them not to even help load it up like they said they would. For being the "#1 furniture store" this place is a complete disaster for ordering furniture. They rail you in by "giving you a good deal" but don't care after that. All of our furniture and mattress were scheduled to to be delivered 11/15. Two days prior we were advised that they did not have the mattress available (which they said it was when they ordered it) so our scheduled delivery was changed to 11/25. Two days prior they said our two night stands and dresser is no longer available (they previously said everything was in stock). They then deliver partial of our furniture and a cal king mattress when we ordered a king mattress. They asked if we wanted to keep the mattress well we would love a cal king mattress if our bed frame wasn't a regular king. So they took it back and reordered the correct mattress. They deliver the mattress and don't even setup our bed frame which we paid for. So we were left to but the box spring and mattress on our floor since we removed all of our old furniture out since we were promised a full delivery 11/15. The manager promised they were going to come today and they're not they're coming tomorrow. So who knows when they will actually come to setup our furniture. The remaining furniture (two night stands and a dresser) is supposed to be delivered the end of January. I'm very disappointed in Ashley Furniture and this is the last time I will be doing business with them. They're quick to take 5k for my furniture set but can't deliver all of my furniture and continue to lie. If I could I would give them no stars. read more

Also, if you cancel your order you will not get your refund unless you run them down, and it takes forever. We thought buying from Modesto Ca. store would be a great experience. They do not answer there phones, I revived a missed call from them on 12/20 the message was very basic so I've been trying to call them back every day since to see why they called and no one has answered the phone. And today did not receive my tv stand when they promised it would be here. I know there are plenty of employees standing around that could of answered the phone one of the many times I have called.
