It's a rock quarry we had no issues from the time we drove up parked right in front looked around picked the rocks we wanted placed our order selected date we wanted delivered paid our invoice and out we went. Driver arrived when they said he would dropped our or should I say dumped our rocks out in our driveway and they drove off. Found out about this company when I was scouring the web for cheap gravel for our patio project. Home Depot was charging a hefty price per bag of gravel so I chose to take my business with Eden Garden. Now let me tell you why it was cheaper. It is in bulk. This was my mistake (thats why I am still giving five stars bec it was my error thinking they will be delivered in bags) You wont be carrying the gravel in bags, they will be dumped where they can dump it. They had to dump mine in my driveway so we had to wheel barrow everything to my backyard. It was a lot of work and honestly, I should've just paid for the bagged gravel at home depot, but this review is for those who need supplies like gravel, sand, garden rocks etc IN BULK. They have really good prices but make sure to order everything at the same time bec they will charge you twice for delivery. I've been working on a garden bed project for a few months now. At least a month ago, I called a few places to check prices and delivery fees. Eden's was the BEST price for the material and for the delivery price. I put my order in, but changed it a few times as my project kept changing. They delivered yesterday afternoon in the heat and sadly were not able to get it directly into my garden bed, but he did drop it as close as he could. Took a while to get it all shoveled into the garden bed. I've never had garden soil delivered before and I know they make their own called Planter Mix. As I was shoveling, I kept thinking it was very sandy. After I was done this morning I called Eden's and spoke with Julie. Because of all the changes on my order, it turns out they delivered the sandy loom and not the Planter Mix. I know I probably should have realized it after they dropped it off yesterday afternoon. But I was so hot, I didn't really check it out. It was NOT until this morning that I started wondering. I felt so stupid and Julie was so kind to me, she wanted to look into it and call me back. They have the best Customer Service, Julie called back and let me know she was having the sandy loam picked up and the Planter Mix brought back out to me. They shoveled the sandy loam out of my planter box and the Planter Mix back in, all the same day! What a relive that was, we are in a heat wave and I knew I didn't have it in me to do it myself. I ordered a pretty large quantity of their "turnkey" planters mix delivered and what I got was a so-so soil that is completely FULL of garbage. Large pieces of plastic, glass, string, and tons of weed seeds. I understand this is not top of the line soil but really?? I would expect more from a "turnkey" planting mix. I don't feel comfortable letting my son dig in the garden now for fear he will cut himself on one of the numerous shards of glass. It's also mostly topsoil. If I wanted just top soil I wouldn't have spent the extra money for this "blend." I ended up having to add in a bunch of compost from another company. read more

Eden Garden and Supply was the only company who shook our hand when we walked in the door, made us feel welcome, and took the time to hear about our vision. This is a family owned company who prides themselves on customer service. This level of customer service was not experienced at the three other locations. Eden is easy to access, right off Highway 5. Their delivery was inexpensive, and every time they delivered at the beginning of the provided hour-window. We have made three purchases with them over the last year, and if we had any more space to fill, we'd call them again. We needed some "filler sand" for a small paving project we were doing in our backyard. Eden had the best prices and product in stock for us to pick up that day. This is a family owned business and they were so friendly when we arrived. Even though it appeared to be a pretty busy time for them at that moment in their yard, they found a way to get the 10 bags of sand we needed ready pretty fast, so we didn't have to wait around long at all. Curb appeal is huge in this area, especially since most of San Joaquin County is filled with cookie-cutter houses. We purchased our Tracy home in 2010. It had beautiful landscaping in the front yard. The back yard? Not so much. My husband is a big do-it-yourself type. He knows what he wants and doesn't suffer fools who try to convince him otherwise. We knew what we wanted: new grass, concrete mowing strip, river rock decor, new retaining wall, etc. He used AutoCAD to map the whole thing out. The big box stores we have locally just didn't seem to "get" the vision. Sure, there were rocks to choose from, but the grass on display looked half dead and for what we wanted we would have had to pay special order fees. Since we're big fans of local mom and pop shops, we went to Eden. We found nice grass there, which was delivered promptly to our house. The salesman made sure we didn't overbuy. In fact, we went back to purchase more (and hauled away on our own) because we added some to our sparse-looking front yard. I have a friend who installed a yard, the similar size, at the time and her sod rolls died out even with proper watering. We never had an issue. On another visit to Eden, my husband found the "perfect" rocks for our backyard. He's a stickler when it comes to HOW he wants things to look. The river rocks were the easy part. Five or six large boulders were what he was really seeking out. Eden treated his rock selection like the sacred finds they were. (I don't exaggerate when I say those rocks are now centerpieces in our backyard.) We've done quite a bit of work to our landscaping since and always go back to Eden. I once told my husband I found it coincidental that the business was called "Eden" because our backyard has turned into a nice oasis thanks to them. Highly recommended. read more

A year after purchasing sod from Eden Garden, my beautiful back lawn began to show some ugly brown spots. After googling on the web, I went back to Eden with photos. An expert explained (in great detail) the possible reasons. He was only too happy to share his knowledge. I followed his instructions to a tee. It's a few weeks later and my lawn looks and feels like a thick, green carpet! These people know their stuff and love talking to you about it. By far the worst customer service I've experienced at a garden supply retailer..I went,saw and then stood in the 100+ degree weather waiting for someone to come out of the homemade office to help me..and it wasn't busy or anything, a complete ghost town.. Anyhow I finally was helped by some super rude lady..paid for my materials, requested delivery and was charged $30 to take some dirt from the retailer to my home less than two miles away.. Come delivery day they dump the s#%t in my driveway and don't offer to take it to the backyard for me.. The people in the office were nice. Then the delivery driver of the rocks was very rude and forceful in wanting me to sign a paper that exempts him of any damage to my drive way due to the rocks. He couldnt even answer a question and not let me finish talking. I wanted to know if a certain rock I ordered was there ? He got mad and said loudly "you only wanted one truck,, you only wanted one truck". Thats not what I asked him? and he just kept repeating that so loudly and rudely. It was a yes or no question. I wasnt mad when I asked him. so defensive. But now I was mad. when I complained they said it was a misunderstanding. No his rudeness and sarcassism was no misunderstanding. Thats why I complained, I wasnt asking the company for anything back except to let them know his behavior was unexceptable. very defensive. I asked him why they drop the rocks 4-5ft from the trucks to the ground because that will break the rocks? That other rocks I bought they had a ramp that rolled the rocks off the truck not drop them straight down onto the cement. I asked him dont you have a ramp you can use? Mad just mad he was. Basically it was my problem didnt want to answer didnt care. Anyways rocks did break. His response was "well why dont you get the rocks from them" while smirking. So I said I dont think I will be buying rocks in the future from you because your not interested in my concerns and are mocking me. He said "he didnt care, its not his business and that I can complain if I want". He also yelled at my 5 yr. old nephew to move out of the way. Of course move, but he sounded nasty about it. Im disapointed in the companys response to my complaint. They said it was just a, he said, she said misunderstanding . So in essence they didnt believe me even though I wasnt asking for anything back for my complaint. so Im very insulted. I spent almost a thousand for those rocks only to be talked mockenly to. Although delivery charges are a bit pricy, the customer service aspect is great. Orders can be placed easily and promptly over the phone. I've ordered dirt from them in the past, and recently ordered some gravel. For the gravel, the delivery person came 1 hour early than the appointment time, so that caused a little complication in my schedule due to the gravel blocking my driveway ahead of schedule. Worst customer service ive ever received. Ordered over 500$ worth of grass from them and the delivery was over 2 hours late. We called 3 different times to ask what was going on. The first call they said it was traffic which is understandable but isnt that why there is a window of 1 hour delivery? The 2nd time they wouldnt pick up! And the 3rd time the driver had a flat and eden blamed the trucking company and told us to yell at him!!! Instead of trying to recover ANY duture business with us! if you going to get it delivered then prices are the same around the area. if you going to haul it your self then look else where but if you need it delivered then this is the place their delivery time is amazing and they have a divider in the truck so they can keep things separate( different rocks or dirt/rock) and deliver in one time. read more

Rude and over priced..... As a business owner myself I know how important costumer service is at a business. I hired these guys a year or so ago for a few tons of gravel. They delivered it late and didn't spread it as promised. I went back recently to get a few boulders as I try to support local business whenever I can. The kid at the front desk treated me rude, didn't act like he even cared to help me, and didn't even come out to help me. I had to go inside after waiting 15 minutes in their lot. He was just sitting behind the counter lazy and on his cell phone. He was then unwilling to work with me on the over priced boulders and wanted to up charge delivery even tho I live like 2 miles away. If I had someone like him working for me he wouldn't be there long. I will willingly go out of town to get any landscaping products in the future rather than deal with these incompetent and rude people. I'm not sure how they are even sti in business treating customers and returning costumers like this. They have lost my business... I hope it was worth loosing my $5000 contract.... Good luck Eden.... BUYER BEWARE! My husband called a couple of weeks ago to order sod sod to be delivered tomorrow. He provided our credit card number for what he thought was a deposit. Turns out they charged us almost $800, but failed to provide us with confirmation and have yet to provide us with a receipt. He called today to request a delivery reschedule because the gardener didn't fully finish prepping the yard. The woman he spoke to was extremely rude and unhelpful. She said that we couldn't reschedule...we could only cancel but that we wouldn't get a refund. Ummm, what?! Needless to say, I disputed the charge with our credit card company. After all, we never technically authorized the charge. A half hour later, she called my husband back and left him a voicemail saying that they would be cancelling delivery and refunding our money. Aside from the obvious shitty customer service...I'm not sure what kind of scam they're trying to run. read more
