Awesome experience from start to finish. Jesse was our sales associate - he was very professional and personable. He never pushed us to buy anything and showed us everything we were interested in looking at. It was obvious he was more interested in finding us something we would love than making a sale. I would definitely go back to Ashley Furniture just because of how professional Jesse was. We have had bad experiences at other places buying furniture and it was very refreshing to shop somewhere that we didn't feel pushed to make a sale. We had the furniture delivered and assembled by Ashley Furniture. It was actually pretty quick from our purchase to delivery - just over a week. The guys who came were super friendly and put everything together quickly and well. Overall this was an awesome experience. I would definitely go back for a second purchase based on my first one. In response to my order #013441508 at the Ashley Furniture in Madison, TN., we bought a couch about eight months ago and began having issues with the fabric within months of purchasing. We assumed when we first bout the couch that the fabric was going through a "breaking in period", and then it progressively got worse. Five months into the future, it has continued to deteriorate. I called Ashley Furniture assuming our one year warranty would cover this. After a two months of back and forth, we are still getting the run around and no sign of this issue being resolved. Long story short, Ashley Furniture has terrible customer service. All they care about is making a sale and once you leave the store, you better hope you don't have any issues. I have never dealt with such rude and unhelpful people in my life. This local store mentioned in this review started shipping new "parts to my couch" (which I apparently have to find somewhere in my home to store this material), so they can come to my house (inconveniencing me to a point where I have to take off work) and turn my living room into a re-upholster work area. This is not what I agreed to and who's going to reimburse me for my time off work? Where am I going to store this material they decided to ship to my house without my permission? They began shipping the couch material weeks ago and now we can't even get a response from Ashley on what we are supposed to do with it. I beg you, if you took the time to read my review, please listen. Take my advice, don't waste your time and find a furniture company more willing to help its customers. Before going to the store I had pretty much picked out the furniture I wanted, but I wanted to see it in person and jus look at a few other bedroom set. The staff was friendly and not pushy while I looked around. Overall the shopping experience was great. The furniture quality is good for the price I bought the porter set. The only thing is the salesman took a lot longer than I expected to get the paperwork together. And delivery and set up was easy the crew was very friendly and got it set up quick. It's Sunday, I go to Rivergate from Hermitage to check out Ashley Furniture and American Signature, when I got done with an AWESOME experience w/cust svc at American Sig, I went to Ashley - this was approximately 12:30pm. They were not open yet!!! Open at 1:00. I had to leave. So later I go online and call for some information because their website is awful, the girl answering should really not be answering the phone, all the salespeople were busy and she could care less. Our "go to" furniture store in south Florida was Ashley. Not sure if this store is a franchise or corporate. In either case, owners/upper management need to call the store at 615.855.3339 and select option 3 for the store and see if anyone answers. Then they can call the same number and select 1,2 or 4 and see what, we the paying customers, are experiencing as to hold times.This week I have made at least a dozen attempts to call the store only to receive no answer. Customer service emailed the store manager and they said I would receive a call back within 3 hours. I am still waiting for that call 4 days later. I went to the store in person after being told by CS they submitted my canceled order but that the store has to authorize. Still waiting! We bought a bedroom set in August and were told it would arrive in September. That turned into October. The first delivery, the driver said they had all pieces but the bed rails because the loading dock didn't provide the hardware so they left the side panels behind. Duh...they are slatted(hook) attachment panels. No hardware needed. The next delivery of the missing rails arrived a week later. WRONG rails. Third delivery this week didn't happen because the rails are now on back order. Canceled the outstanding order for rails because the furniture is of no use to us without rails. And who knows when or if we will get the correct rails. The store refuses to respond to the numerous Customer Service requests to complete canceled order so furniture can be picked up. To even get any assistance with our issue, I reached out to the corporate office who transferred me to an out of area CS agent in Texas. He called the local area to initiate the cancellation/pickup and kept me on the line. Our conversation/hold time together was 1 HOUR and 55 minutes. Thinking our issue was on the way to being solved, we are still waiting for a response/pickup from the Madison/Rivergate store. We have closed our Ashley account and contacted the credit card company to put the charges in dispute. If you see a woman standing at the store entrance in the next few days with a sign that reads "do yourself a favor and shop Haverty's or BFMyers" that will be me. read more

This is by far the worse furniture store I have purchased from. They say they can deliver but then they can't. We called and spoke to them about getting an item replaced that was damaged during delivery and it took 3 days and about 10 phone calls to finally get someone to tell us that it was going to be two weeks to get the rest of our sectional. They put a line in their contract that states they will replace at their discretion. That's how they get away with ridiculous delivery schedule. We asked to cancel order so we can buy the furniture that we needed to host a party, they said no problem we will call you to schedule pickup. Guess what , 2 days later they tell us that they gave us false information. They will not pick up or refund us because that is their policy. Ashley furniture could have told us this before we purchased other furniture. I have never dealt with a company with so many excuses and poor guest response team and managers that don't know their own policies. Not sure where to start...Maybe with the HORRIBLE customer service or all the LIES that I have been told! Be aware.....when they get your money, they do not care at all when you receive your furniture. After waiting for over a month for my sectional....I have had parts of a sectional for over a week, and can get no information about when they are going to deliver the other parts. And since the sectional is power, I cannot hook up the electrical until I have all the pieces, therefore I cannot even use the pieces that I do have. Every single employee that I have spoke to has told me a different LIE about my furniture. And of course, my wonderful saleswoman, Candy, has NOT called me one time to even check on the furniture....oh wait I know why, because she already has my money so why does she care? Absolutely the worst experience I have ever had at any store ever! I have posted on every outlet and called anyone and everyone who will listen. We purchased an adjustable base at the Mount Juliet TN store and it never worked it took an act of congress to get it exchanged and we are still waiting on what was supposed to replace it. I've called the store at least once a week with no help. I am at the point where I need to contact my lawyer to get my box spring & chair cushion. Horrible customer service! Was informed of discounts and availability by sales associate and then told when finalizing purchase that those discounts werent applicable even though throughout entire time of making order there was references to the discounts. Decided that I wanted the furniture regardless of not getting the discounts only to be told that the items weren't actually in the warehouse and on backorder for 1 month. Delivery day comes and Im given a window of time to be available. I get a voicemail the time of delivery telling me that I have 15 minutes to return the call to confirm my address and give them directions, but no number to call. I call multiple times to the delivery hotline to be disconnected and 28 minutes later finally speak to someone who has no way of contacting the delivery team other than putting notes in the file. Needless to say, furniture was not delivered and I was asked to reschedule for a week later meaning another day that I must take off work to sit and wait for them to deliver a few pieces of my order as they can get it all together. If I could give a negative five I would. I second every one star review stated. We have purchased around $50000 in furniture from the Madison Tennessee store. We regret buying every item purchased. The moment you walk out the door they have done their part. The delivery process is horrific. The contracted delivery people are unprofessional. They have delivered our purchases with holes, inventions, chipped off pieces crooked seams, scratches, and a bed that is not stained in places. They take a picture while trying to talk you into accepting the damaged products. They tell you the warehouse will be in touch to resolve your issues. The warehouse calls and basically says the same thing and adds that you have a warranty and they give you the number. They say once the product leaves the warehouse they are no longer involved. They tell you to look at your paperwork it will tell you who to call. Good Luck! About the "warranty", on your brand new item, you are told to send in PHOTOS and they will consider replacement or repair. When the warranty person finally showed up he brought a COLORED MARKER to fill in the chipped off piece. The five year no claim guarantee is not worth the paper it is printed on. After the five years you will NOT get a dime. After you have had enough of this you call to speak to the store manager. After five calls I am still waiting for a return call. I have NEVER had my call returned by a manager. I called the owner one time and was given a gift card. This was never "found" at the store. The filing cabinet we bought is such poor quality, every time you open the drawer the files fall. The file rails are so cheap they bend. The rails have cut the wood where the notch was and there is no longer a notch to hold the rail. The office chair is unable to be used because the screws broke off and the seat is no longer connected. The accent chair we bought had warped legs. The screw that held the leg on the chair was broken and the chair fell when we sat in it. The stain has come off our bedroom set. The wooden canopy rails have fallen off while we slept and hit my husband in the head. The bracket that holds the rail in place was broken in half and was put on crooked it was a miracle it stayed up at all. I am not sure what they use to color the furniture with but it last about a month. The wood on our dining chairs is so cheap that the color came off. We use our dining table two times a year, however the chairs are ruined. The wood on the seats has dented and where the deep scratches are is white wood. We can't understand how sitting in chairs two times a year have caused this type of damage. In closing, we do not have ONE piece of Ashley furniture that has not fallen apart, broken, or held up to normal use. We have wasted thousand of dollars on worthless junk. If you are in the market for cheap furniture this is your place! If you want quality and a company that stands by their product RUN!! read more

They delivered our furniture at 11:00P.M., was supposed to be there around 6:00P.M. They are all rude and don't care anything about anything except getting your money for poor quality furniture. Seth was our sales rep. He was very nice and courteous, but over time, you could tell something wasn't quite "right". As we started negotiations, you could sense his irritability. He had an attitude of "how dare I" negotiate terms. This is part of the process. Anyway, so we bought a bed. TempurPedic adjustable. Very nice bed. Cool. Seth threw in some pillows and mattress protectors. Cool. Even threw in a painting when we picked out a living room set. Awesome painting that he pulled from the back, because he knew we would love it. And we do. It wasn't a terrible experience, but the paperwork that Seth and I went over was not the same as the paperwork the finance lady conveniently slipped into our folder to take home. Upon further inspection, it showed the mattress protectors were not free. They billed us almost $200! So I called Seth personally, on a Friday. He never returned my call. So I call today(Monday), and he is not in. So i talk to some woman. I think she was in financing. She instructed me that giving free mattress protectors is not standard practice, and i felt as if she was discounting that the conversation between Seth and I ever took place at all. She then told me that Seth had dropped delivery charges, therefore we were charged for the protectors. NO! That was not in the conversation. In the end, the woman agreed to take the charges off the protector. I just hope I don't have any maintenance issues in the future. It doesn't seem like they care much about their customers. And that just sucks. Try harder Ashley(Madison). You have an image to uphold!!! read more

Went there last month & we wasn't greeted at the door. We were ignored & we came in before a couple & the lady approached them first instead of me & my fiance. We were looking around & passed several sales people that didn't ask if they could help us with anything. They walked up to other people though. I felt in a way like they thought we were too young to afford furniture. I'm in my 20s but look younger than my age. There were two ppl talking to each other & could care less to talk to us. They all looked at us snooty & so I told my fiance "Let's just go. They're talking to all these other customers & still haven't approached us or say how are you doing today?" So we went to American Signature furniture & were greeted right away as we came in the door. She asked us what we were looking for. We told her a triple couch & a loveseat. We told her what colors we were looking for & what material. She guided us around & even showed us nice furniture in our price range. We said we would be back & so yesterday as soon as we came in a guy asked how he could help us so we told him that we wanted that triple & loveseat. Too bad Ashley Furniture lost out but oh well it's their loss. We're having our furniture delivered this morning & for all you Ashley Furniture workers, never judge a book by a cover just because a person looks young or doesn't dress like a celebrity. I GIVE THIS STORE ZERO STARS!! Worst furniture buying experience ever. Our sales person was Isabelle.We ordered our sofa, love seat and recliner on Aug 16th. Had to wait a month for it to "be made." Was suppose to be delivered on Sept 12th and did not receive it until Sept 17th. The delivery drivers were clowns and the first thing out of their mouth was "can we charge our phones." They advertise that they have "white glove delivery," well that is bull. The guys dropped our sofa and tore the fabric. Noticed it about an hour after they left. Immediately called guest services and spoke to Tamara. I emailed her the picture of the tear on the sofa and she said that someone would contact me in 24-48 hours and no one did. TWO days later I was getting up off the love seat (I weigh 110 pounds) and the whole arm dropped to the floor and heard the screws hit the floor. It was late so I called them the next day and spoke to Precious at guest services. While on the phone with her about the love seat, I asked about the sofa and no one knew anything about it. My husband and I decided since they had terrible customer service and had low quality furniture, that we wanted a full refund. Precious explained that refunds had to be done through the store that it was purchased. I text our sales person Isabelle for help and I received no reply. After 3 more calls to Isabelle and Lee Smith, we finally spoke with the manager, Travis James. He told me that he would call guest services and get back to me and he never did. Also told my husband I was pretty much a liar and did not say he would call me back. I could go on and on about the calls we have made and the service we received. Its Sept 25th and I have basically called them everyday and still have broken and torn furniture. We have contacted the financing company and it was placed in dispute pending an investigation. We are contacting the BBB and legal advise as of now. PLEASE DO NOT PURCHASE ANYTHING FROM ASHLEY FURNITURE. Went to the Madison location to look at reclining chairs I saw online. They only have 1 of 2 that I wanted to try out in store but still was happy to have the ability to go over specifications between the two with the associate on the floor who aided me and my boyfriend. We decided the recliner they had was the one and much to our surprise they matched a cheaper price we found on their website! It was a smooth and easy process and the guy helping us was super friendly and just chatted with us making it super comfortable. Had been to several stores in general area and was going to have to wait for delivery on everything we wanted, not willing to do that. Michael Davenport, one of your sales associate, was very gracious in walking around the store with us, talking to us about the various things we were looking for. He was very kind, professional, knowledgeable and an all around nice guy. Not only did we purchase a recliner but an ottoman as well, which we were not able to take with us immediately, but willing to wait on delivery since we were able to find the perfect recliner. Absolutely horrible experience. This place is the definition of crooks. I ordered thousands of dollars worth of furniture in cash, and it came with many issues. First of all, they hardly ever deliver on the dates they say they will, and keep delaying delivery. Then when they delivered the furniture, the wrong furniture was brought in. They gave me a delivery date and I took off from work to be there and NO ONE SHOWED up. Their delivery guys are not good at moving furniture and delivered me a dusty and dirty dining china piece that I had to clean.....I asked for a refund on a nightstand piece and it has been WEEKS and my refund still hasn't came in. One of the store managers said he would issue a bit of refund for our troubles but went quiet on that as well. However, THE MONEY I PAID, I EXPECT REFUNDED TO ME. Every time I would call to correct the wrong furniture, they kept saying they will check on it but then didn't call me back. From store managers and supervisors to sales employees, they were telling me lies. Do yourself a big favor and DO NOT buy furniture from any Ashley store. They don't even deserve 1 star. read more

After 4 bad deliveries of everything being damaged, and 3 different occasions where they damaged our home during the process we are finished with Ashley. We have talked to manager after manager, and each one has made false promises and have ended up lying to us. Now, we have a broken railing, freshly stained carpet, sharpie marks we had to try to clean ourselves off of our floor, and all we have to make our experience better is some small credit given to us by a manager that even she knows is not sufficient. One of Ashley Furniture's own employees said "You guys are being screwed" and guess what? We were. Heed our warning - there are much better places to spend your money. I was met by the manager and spent around $10,000 on various pieces for my home. The furniture looked great. No problems there. There was a king size adjustable base bed they had been trying to unload that was deeply discounted that nobody wanted. And then I showed up. I was told by Seth, the manager, that the adjustable base would work with my captains platform king size bed. I'm not the furniture expert, he is. When they delivered this, it would not work with my platform bed. Here's where the fun starts. When you have a problem, you're on your own. The friendly helpful staff disappears. I called 2 days in a row and couldn't get an call back. Nothing as great as service after the sale. When I drove back to the store, I was met by an associate who told me no problem they had other bases that would work with the bed. Then he gave ME the numbers to call. They do nothing locally to make it right. I called 3 different numbers and kept getting pushed to another place with Ashley. Buyer beware. If you have any problems with your purchase, you are ON YOUR OWN. Don't expect the local store to lift a finger. This mistake cost me $4000. Gibson furniture in Gallatin is locally owned and you deal with the owner instead of a staff that looks like they belong in a boys band. read more

My fiance and I had been looking at many different places at many different bedroom pieces. Our favorite was Ashley's. It was also, the most expensive, but from previous furniture shopping experience it is worth the money. They have great quality furniture. We bought our sectional a couple years ago from Ashley's in Rivergate/Madison. So, we decided to go in one evening and look at a few different bedroom set's. One our favorite, & more expensive set & the other was similar, but more affordable. We were not flocked when coming in, but greeted and were able to just mingle & look around. Which is nice in my opinion instead of being treated like pray. lol When we were ready & had questions, the gentleman actually helped us make our decision much easier to get our furniture we really wanted. Not only was it better quality, but it is what we really wanted. It was on sale online so of course we got the sale price in store as well. The process was quick & easy. We live about an hour away from the store, so one down side is it took 2 weeks for them to deliver our furniture. We were not home when they did, my mom was there. They delivered the wrong bed.. It was one of the other beds that was apart of the collection. I called that night & the next morning we had another appointment set in two weeks for the correct bed to be delivered. I am disappointed our salesman never called about this, but am just glad I am getting the correct bed. Sad, it is taking an additional two weeks to get the correct bed. We know have a huge canopy bed in our room. I had to call and request the adjust the sale price since the correct bed is $400 cheaper than the one they actually ordered and delivered. Yes it is partially our fault because we signed the papers with that bed on there, but that paperwork is all coded.. but overall I would still go back.. The furniture is great quality & customer service isn't horrible... I got the 5 year warranty with my sectional we bought 2 years ago & am actually having to use it on the electronic part of it & am a little disappointed in that process. It is going to take 5-7 days to get a call from a tech. to just make an appointment for someone to come look at it?!
