Never shop at Ashley Furniture. I just got off my 10th customer service call after being "guaranteed" and "promised" I would receive by a certain date. When shopping we were promised we would have all our furniture in December 1st and would be able to schedule our own delivery time since we were unable to get our keys until a specific time. We spent more money on furniture so we would have for our December 1st move in date. However, on November 29th we were contacted and told we would not be receiving the couch we ordered. We decided to continue moving forward because we were told our delivery fees would be waived and that we would be guaranteed to get the rest of our couch a few weeks later by end of December. Also to our surprise, we were told we were unable to schedule a delivery time and a delivery time would be scheduled for us. Our scheduled delivery time was 5am. So, not only did we not receive our couch, but we had to arrange a move in time for 5am with our new landlord. The movers were loud and drilling and slamming all of our furniture into the building at 5am. Great first impression on our new neighbors!! We have received no calls/updates from any member of Ashley informing us of any progression on the couch. We have called multiple times and are given a later date each time we call. What we were "guaranteed" would be arriving in December is now projecting delivery in February. So I bought a bedroom set from Ashley furniture and it has been less then a month and the bed fram is falling apart. Called them to come fix it and they has given me the round around. And you cant return the furniture once it's used. So I'm suck with a broken bed and lost 2k. Please be aware and dont buy from them read more

We just purchased a sofa & loveseat set from the Ashley/Nanuet store and it was a an excellent experience. We were assisted by a sales rep, Jack, who was extremely knowledgeable, patient & very pleasant. We must have gone around the showroom at least 3 times & he gave us the option of following us or coming to him with questions. The best option is having the rep escort you because you have a lot of questions & Jack was amazing. We are very happy with our purchase. The showroom has so many options & the sales are great. We even saw bedroom furniture we may purchase soon. I highly recommend this store. read more

A little over 6 years ago, my boyfriend furnished our entire home with furniture from Ashley. He spent over $10,000 and was talked into spending more to get the extended warranty. Very quickly after getting the furniture, it started showing signs of wear. By this point, much of the furniture needs to be put on the curb. The couches have been peeling for over 2 years. We can't sit on them without it leaving little pieces of couch all over us. It falls all over the floor. It's a total mess and eyesore. This is our living room furniture that gets normal use from our family and should have lasted longer than a few short years. Our headboard, which is also pleather is also falling apart. The finish on our dining room set has been wearing off since the first year. I have bought cheap furniture from Target that has lasted longer. And back to that warranty, I was told that it doesn't apply to "wear and tear" even though my boyfriend was given the impression that it does when he bought it. If he had known how little that warranty actually covered, he never would have bought it. I am so disappointed in our furniture from Ashley and would not recommend anyone shop there. read more

All BUYERS BEWARE!! Although Ashley Is Good Furniture you are at mercy of each individual store. DO NOT BUY from ASHLEY FURNITURE of NANUET NY. The sales people are like vultures, the management runs this place like a used car lot and they do NOT care about your business again once you have made your purchase. Its wham bam thank you mam. They rush you through the process, try to force you to take the payment plan so they make extra money and try to scare you into the warranty. I went there with cash in hand to purchase a couple of couches and the sales girl Dimi was hanging over us like impending doom every time that I turned around. I repeatedly explained to her politely that we were good and I knew who she was and would come find her as soon as we had a question or had made a decision. She just didn't care. She kept coming over, rudely standing there, listening to our conversations and interupting us everytime we were looking at something. After the 4th time of pleading with her to leave us alone, we were going to leave and stumbled onto a couch set we kind of liked so we asked her a few questions. She rushed us into a sale after I clearly said I wanted to take time to make sure it was what we wanted and that it would work. We wound up buying it and the day it was delivered, after I moved everything into the room, my worst fear came true. I realized it was way to big for the living room. I left them in the foam and plastic, never sat on them and called the NANUET ASHLEY FURNITURE store where we bought them as soon as they opened the next day looking to make an exchange. I was told there is absolutely NO RETURNS or EXCHANGES even though they are still sealed!! I asked to speak to a manager and was told she (Adrian) would call back, but she did not. I called again the next day and asked for the manager and was again left on forever hold and then hung up on several times. I called corporate who basically told me the same policy BS and then proceeded to tell me that I should have had the measuring service the store offers! Well guess what, I was NEVER OFFERED A MEASURING SERVICE!!!!! I then called the factory corporate number who told me that each store is responsible for how they do business and that although SHE AGREED that this was very poor business practice on the NANUET ASHLEY FURNITURE store's part and apologized, there was nothing that they could do to force the store to let me exhange for couches that will fit. As a business man, taking care of the good hard working people in this county for over 25 years, with many friends and associates in the buisness, social and political spaces in this area I will be giving everyone the same heads up I'm giving you. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH ASHLEY FURNITURE of NANUET!!! Never in all the years of running a successful business in Rockland have I ever treated a customer this way. Customer service is the cornerstone of good business, it's the most basic principle. You always take care of the customer and the customer will be loyal and recommend you to everyone. I hate dealing with Ashley furniture. The store is fine. The people are nice but the company policies are so Difficult and convoluted that it makes it impossible for them to help a customer. They sold us a Sealy mattress that sagged after 4 weeks. They were willing to exchange it but it was discontinued. They won't refund even though they don't have anything in the same price range that is as good as the first. I won't shop there again. read more

We went in and purchased a dining room set. Worked with Stefanie who was very helpful in answering our questions but not pushy. BEWARE ..Ordered living room sectional which was delivered this morning 4/5/19 at approximately 9:30 am. Two men delivered they brought furniture in we looked at it we found no tears in fabric. Delivery men had me sign receipt for delivery then one took photos called number had me talk with woman on other end asked if delivery was ok etc i had to electronically sign for delivery. They left approximately 30 mins later we were sitting on piece of sectional hand over back felt broken wood in back under fabric called and was advised we accepted so claim has to be filed they have to come inspect it it they can repair it they will if not that piece will be replaced entire sectional cost over 2500 hundred dollars with insurance over 3000 dollars. They stated we should not have signed what are you supposed to do go over every of furniture and with your hands. YES you should and when they can only make 2 deliveries a day you want to see how fast their policy changes AND i asked to speak with customer service supervisor was told NO. They didn't tell us No when we gave them our hard earned money. It is total scam and they know it. My husband and I walked into Ashley Furniture Home Store yesterday and we were immediately greeted by Brian who "welcomed us to his home". He inquired what we were looking for, and to be perfectly honest, we werent looking for anything, we were just looking around. Brian immediately advised us of various sales they were having, mattresses, bedding, and rugs; just to name a few. He said roam around the store and ill catch up with you in a few. So we did just that. Next we found ourselves in the bedding section, where we began playing a game of "goldilocks", by laying on each bed. We kept bouncing from one bed to another, too soft, too squishy, to hard. Until.....we finally found one we liked.....we layed down and got comfy- we were offered water by Brian, and were told to just lay there and he would be back. He came back a few minutes later to check in on us, and to see how we were feeling; we loved the bed. Brian advised of the warranty and that we could have the bed in as little as a few days. So we decided to get a new bed; it was something we were going to get down the line, but we happened to be at the right place and at the right time. Furniture quality is terrible and the insurance policy they try to get you to sign up for is a scam. I bought a dining room table and the paint began chipping in under a year of purchase. Insurance told me its not covered and sent me to talk to Ashley who also would not cover. They couldn't even tell me what paint they used on it so I could try to fix it. Scary to have chipping paint on a table your kids eat on. I wish I had saved my money and went to a higher quality store. read more

DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY!!!!!! I visited this store and was able to open a credit card and place an order in less than an hour with no problems. This was my first time shopping with themEVER. That was DEC 2018 it is now MARCH 2019 and i still haven't received my order. The first delivery date (I took off of work) my delivery was scheduled for 9-1pm. I got a call the same day 9:20am saying they can't deliver the item is damaged. I was disappointed but I understood. The second delivery date (I took off of work AGAIN), I got called the day before my delivery was scheduled telling me the item is damaged and can't be delivered..... I told the person who called to just cancel the oreder because I felt like games were being played. I was told I had to contact the Nanuet NY a store directly. I was told they cannot cancel because the order is sceduled for delivery I tried to explain the item was not being delivered. They began giving me the run around I was told i had to speak to a manager, i was kept on hold, then hung up on. When i called back they refunded my down payment but told they would not refund the delivery fee for items that never arrived to my home. I became LIVID. I had to threaten to contact the "Better Business Bureau" before they took me seriously. To date i have no receipt of the cancelled order and the order is still reflected on the credit card I opened. If I could give this store a negative star, I would. When I go furniture shopping I want to be able to sit and look at the furniture without being hassled. Well from the moment my mother and myself walked in we were completely stalked in the store. Greg (manager/salesman) was immediately there to greet us...and then follow us...around the store...the WHOLE time. I explained to him that both my mother and I were looking for couches for both of our houses, I myself was also looking for a mattress. So I walked over to the bedding area and Greg and I forgot the bed salesman name were there harassing us into laying in the beds ..".try this...no lay down come on". So that lasted about 10 minutes. Now I understand they do have a job but omg this was getting ridiculous. I had to walk out. So I went back to looking for couches and they BOTH COME OUT and start following us. As I proceeded to sit on a couch they both were staring in front of me. Ummmm AWKWARD so the bed salesman proceeds to follow my mom as she was looking at the dining sets and would not leave her alone. I got so furious that I started to walk out of the store. My poor mother was then accosted by both Greg and bed guy about buying a couch she was interested in. She told them we were just there to look and get measurements. We'll they told her she did not need to measure the couch, that the backing of the couch can be taken off. He looked at her like she had 10 heads or something for wanting to get the measurements. I literally start to call her from across to the store to leave, as she finally walks away from them, Greg follows my mom out the store to give her his card. I couldn't help but start laughing because at this point I feel like we're being punk'd. This seriously did not happen. All I wanted to do. Was look for couches get my measurements and go...so I could COME BACK AND BUY. But unfortunately that didn't happen. I didn't even get a chance to really look at any furniture because of how uncomfortable I felt...what a waste of time. But that's ok because of Greg and bed salesman's name that I could care less to remember very aggressive and pushy behavior...you missed out on 2 living room sales plus a mattress sale. Oh and P.S. I love my new home office furniture! Great quality, affordable and really great style! Brandon was my salesperson and help me put everything together smoothly. The delivery was excellent too, They would call the day before to tell me when they would deliver the next day and they would bring all the furniture into your house all ready to be set up no problem! I visited the Nanuet store to look for living room tables. I knew which tables I wanted; I saw them online and had called for prices. I entered the store; it wasn't very busy. It was difficult to find a salesperson to assist me. One salesperson told me the table was in the back but didn't offer to help me find it. Another showed me an end table but not the cocktail table I was looking for. No one offered to help me place the order until one salesman came over but was too busy to assist me. He sent another man over to help me. It took an hour and a half to finally place the order. This is ridiculous to place 2 orders. The delivery was even a problem. I chose the following Wednesday for delivery. They call the day before and give you a 4 hour time frame for delivery. They were supposed to delivery in the afternoon. After 3 confirmation phone calls and then they changed it to the morning for delivery. I had to change my work hours. A fourth call told me there was an error in delivery and had to come on Friday. The furniture arrived but I was the last delivery and I had told them I had to work. The tables are beautiful but I'm not sure if the hassle is worth it. read more
