If i could give Ashley Furniture no stars i would. We spent $4,000 on a bed frame, matress & box springs in May 2023. Come November 2023 the pegs are coming off the bed frame and the side rail is falling off. I called to have someone come fix / replace the bed frame and they're saying because i moved 4 months ago they're denying my claim. We moved with professional movers and did not take apart the bed frame. We moved in July of 2023 so for 4 months after the move the bed was perfectly fine. This is a 6 month old bed that's falling apart. I will never shop here again and i encourage everyone to find another place to get your furniture. You'll be over charged and left with faulty furniture and no customer service help at Ashley Furniture. read more

Don't go here. I purchased a couch and when they tried to deliver it the delivery guys were incompetent. They couldn't get it in my door way They wouldn't listen to anything I said about maneuvering it in a different way to make it fit. Whatever I went back to this location and picked out a different couch on a Sunday. Was told the new couch would be delivered Wednesday. I called Tuesday to confirm and the girl on the phone said that they didn't confirm it so now the soonest delivery would be Friday. I told her that's fine. I called again on Thursday just to make sure it's actually coming this time. Guess what? They said the delivery was now pushed back to the next week Wednesday. Awesome! They weren't even going to tell me this. Now let's wait and see if I ever get this couch that I spent over $2000 on. Useless location. Go somewhere else. UPDATE: couch finally came on 11/27 with a wrong piece! So now I have 2/3rds of my couch and no one on the phone is useful. Management from the store was suppose to get back to be but they never did. Have a broken couch after less than two months ... attempted to have repaired, was blown off by the technician ... re-scheduled and then I wasn't in the system. Ashley is completely unwilling to assist, I requested to return the couch and was told that my request would be granted ... now there are no notes that I ever expressed any concern. So basically .... they keep you on the phone, hang up and put no notes in and lie to you 5/15 update .... couch still not repaired - clearly defective - support team I was "working" with has ignored any contact for weeks now. I went to Ashley furniture and purchased a new sectional. The next day I went to show someone what I purchased. I decided to pull up the image online for the Alenya sectional because the picture i took didn't give it justice. I was surprised to see that the store charged me $250 more then it was online and it was a "managers special." I decided to go to another Ashley Furniture in Schaumburg and saw that it was also the same price as it was online. I called up to ask for the price difference as a refund, and they told me I had to come back into the store. I decided at that point i wanted to cancel my whole order because if the scam they were running. My rep was new and a nice guy, but the manager was a little off. He didn't even speak to me to apologize for trying to rip me off. When I went back to the store the rep i worked with told the financial representative how i was over charged and showed her a picture of the product verse the price that I paid. I told her I wanted to cancel and she continued to argue with me saying "you can't cancel the order now." In which I responded "great, when your driver comes I'm not going to accept the delivery." Buyer beware- scam alert! My wife and I purchased a sofa and a loveseat as a set in March and schedduled it to be delivered to our new home in April. When the delivery date finally arrived no one from Ashley contacted me. I couldn't get anyone on the phone and drove to the store where I found out it was never schedueld. At this point my sofa was on back order and we were told we'd have to wait 6 MORE weeks. I was angry but had nothing to do. 6 weeks later the day has finally come. I received a call and scheduled the delivery. A few days later I called to confirm and see if I can get it delivered earlier (just because they're not to good about it). To my disbelief the person I talked to said they canceld the delivery and I will have to wait 10 MORE WEEKS!!! Again, no one reached out, had I not called I would have probably waited again with no one to talk to. The agent didn't care she repeated the same sentence again and again "I'm sorry but you'll have to wait". She didn't care that I've waited and kept giving me the disclaimer garbage, "this is just an estimate", "this is just tentative" like it's not clear that they bumped someone up in line. I have never experienced anything in my lifetime like I did today with Ashley furniture and home store. I brought a very Autistic adult man into Ashley's in Niles a month ago to purchase a new bedroom set. My sales person Linda was very aware of the need to make this transition as simple as possible. We purchased a bed and bedding that was in stock just to keep things on a timely basis. I will say Linda our sales woman was awesome and that was the end of the awesome experience. Our bed and mattress set was supposed to be delivered on August 28. The delivery time was between 11 and two, still no delivery at 2 o'clock, so I phoned Ashley. Who then informed me at 1 o'clock that afternoon they had sent me an email telling me the delivery has been delayed until September 1. I was devastated for my friend so I explained how important it is to make sure that we keep this new date because canceling this one is going to be very difficult for this man to understand. When this purchase was made I was told they could not remove the old bed but they would certainly remove the mattress and box spring. I explain to the linda, our sales lady, that they were very old and she said that was no problem. I could've had my village pick these mattresses and box springs up in the special pick up with the bed but I thought it was a great thing he can keep them until the new ones arrived. Then today the delivery company shows up, two delivery men that could not communicate with people that only spoke English. I watch these men throw furniture around inside the truck like crazy to get to my stuff, that right there made me nervous. Then the Men carried the new mattress up, even though I thought that was backwards and explain that to them that I thought they should take the old out before the new. Unfortunately because they could not communicate with me, they then called customer service and handed me their telephone to talk to them. This is when customer service explained to me that they would not remove the mattress and box springs because they were soiled, I would assume anybody getting a new mattress Would not be throwing away a perfectly beautifully clean new one. Now I am left standing with a Very confused and sad autistic man not knowing how we're going to get his bed together for the night. No matter how many times I try to explain to customer service that we cannot leave him without a bed for the night, they wouldn't even carry the mattresses out and leave them in the garage, the only option they gave us was to let him sleep on the floor. This of course upset my friend, and instead of talking to us the delivery men literally got in their truck, with the boxspring to our set still in the back of it and the mattress laying on the floor in the bedroom and left. My poor friend was so confused and so upset that he actually ran in front of the truck to try to stop it to get his boxspring, they put their truck in reverse and literally backed out of the street and would not give him the rest of his mattress and box spring set. He was left with a new mattress laying on the floor to figure it out all by himself. I have never in my life seen such a disrespect for another human being as I did today from Ashley furniture store. The only thing that customer service has offered to help, is for me, myself, to phone the store back tomorrow morning and see if the boxspring is on the truck. This is now the third day I will have to takeoff of work to help this man simply get a new bed. We have also been informed, that the bed railings are back ordered until October. So now we have a headboard and a footboard that came damaged, no side rails, and a brand new mattress in a bag laying on the floor and our new boxspring in the back of a truck employed by Ashley. I actually cried real tears for this man today out of the lack of humanity. This is my way of sharing that Ashley furniture has absolutely no ethics when it comes to their clients. I hope none of you ever have to shop for furniture for somebody that is autistic or high on the spectrum, if so I would not recommend Ashley. I can only pray, that somebody in that company understands and gets this poor man his boxspring! Update: This is what I got today when I called the number above the customer service said they would like to make this better. It's quite embarrassing that it is September 17... the TV stand NEVER arrived. I had to go into the store a couple weeks ago and even had issues with the manager not wanting to pick up the fireplace that only went along with the TV stand. Again, we did not purchase these things separately it was one whole purchase and the fact that I had to fight with them to get my money back and they're giving me 2 separate checks for one refund that will take weeks and weeks to get it's just bizarre! The only thing I am happy with is that they have picked up the fireplace (that was in a box and collecting dust) literally after 5 months from when we ordered it. Truly shame on you Ashley's employees that we dealt with, the managers that were not accommodating--we will never shop with you again. read more

Other recent reviews are accurate. We recently ordered a dining room set for a new house. During the purchase, the seller made a mistake and forgot to apply a promotional discount of 20%. Fortunately that was corrected quickly and we got our money back, but that was just the beginning of the headache that is Ashley HomeStore. We scheduled our delivery in the store. Over the next few days I received multiple texts, emails, and phone calls, all to "set up" my delivery. I would pick a date, then the next day I'd get a call from a separate person asking me to set up my date. Most of the customer service representatives I spoke to were extremely rude and would hang up on me before I could finish asking questions. Finally, we got a date set and I received text messages and emails asking me to "confirm" my delivery time. I confirmed it multiple times, but on the day of delivery, nobody ever showed. I then called customer service and AGAIN they asked me to choose a delivery date, as if the one that I had finally set up and confirmed after multiple attempts never happened. I now have a new date and I have zero confidence that these delivery people will show up or that I'll get my furniture before summer. The customer service line says you can "stay on the line after your call to take a survey." That didn't happen, either. It looks like genuine complaints fall on deaf ears at Ashley. Do not use this store or any of their locations! They brought us broken pieces of furniture. After two months of them trying to replace the items, they continue to give us the runaround and avoiding us. Someone will call to schedule a delivery, but then they either never show for the delivery, they tell us their systems aren't working, or the furniture is on layaway. The case worker also does not respond. They try to exhaust you so that you just take the thirty percent discount. The furniture is discolored, broken, and pieces are falling off. At first my family and I just assumed they closed that particular store. I decided it was time to move on to Abt where we get all our appliances from and now they have furniture! I called to tell the customer service rep and wanted a shipping label to return it and she told me I should have known from the picture online that the umbrella was not white. I said but my order did say white. She didn't care and wouldn't send me a shipping label. She told me to go to a UPS and take care of it myself and my expense. Visited the store on 1/4/19. My best friend and I immediately told the salesperson (older European guy, did not catch his name) that I was interested in a gray king sized bed frame that requires a mattress and box spring. Right away, he tried to sell me a mattress and box spring, to which I repeatedly told him that I already had both. He showed us every color queen sized bed, despite our repeated attempts to remind him that I was ONLY looking for a gray king size. He proceeded to follow us (very closely) around the store and not give us a moment to ourselves. After finally settling on a bed, we were informed that they did not have that specific color in the store (we saw a beige bed) but we could order it. We asked him again, at least three more times, if it was going to be gray, and he assured us that it would be. We asked if it would be a dark or light gray and he said he'd bring up an image online for us to see. He never specifically answered our question, which is why we kept asking. Finally, he brought up a picture and it looked light gray, so I gave him my information to put into the system. Again, we asked if he could confirm if it was gray. He stated that it didn't specify what color it was, but we could just go by the image online. Before handing him my card to make the purchase, as asked again, to confirm the color. When he finally did that, we found out that the only color it came in was beige. Being in sales myself, I fully understand the pressure of working on commission, but I also know when to draw the line. We felt misinformed and outright lied to, just so he could make a sale. It was at that very moment that he realized he'd been caught, and he simply handed my card back to me and walked away. If this is the way that Ashley does business, I want NO part in it. He single handedly made what should have been a pleasant and easy shopping experience and turned it into a terrible evening, as I didn't want to shop for anything else and we left immediately. read more

I have my own experience as well. This store does tell you whatever they think the customer wants to hear, just to sale an item. They told me that if I get the insurance coverage, toddler scratches, etc were covered. I called and filed a claim just have it denied and told that any accidental scratches were considered normal wear and not covered. I am not exaggerating when I tell you that I had seven screws fall out of chairs I had a cracking chair and part of my table is completely faded and this all happened within two months of a purchase. When I called them, they blame it on me and tell me it's water damage. Then, they decide to send me parts, and they tell me that they will schedule a technician to come over and that it is covered. Two different representatives told me that. Then, someone calls to schedule the technician to come over to fix it, and then I get a call one minute later saying "We made a mistake, you are not covered." I didn't get any calls for estimated time so I decided to call- the person who answered the call from the store does not care, she sounds as if she's dead. The receipt shows a 877 number which doesn't accept calls and it tells you to call a 866 number, put you on hold for half an hour only to get a person who says I'm sorry someone should have called you about the delay because it wouldn't be here until next month. Do. Not. Purchase. A. Bed. From. Here!!!!! I regret getting our new king sized bed from here. Ashley does not sell, nor inform, its customers that all king sized beds are sold with only THREE flimsy wood slats, the same amount that they sell for a twin bed. Common sense would dictate the larger the bed, the more slats would be needed to stabilize the larger mattress. But Ashley fails to inform customers of this. Our bed broke TWICE. The first time, Ashley had two repairmen come out to try their best to fix it, but we were informed by the repairmen that there's no way this mattress can be supported by the flimsy three wood slats. The bed was sold to us defective from day 1, admittedly by their own repairmen. A year later, when the bed broke for a second time, shattering, the customer service I dealt with can only be described as abysmal. Hours of being on hold, shuffled between the Niles store, the Corporate line, and the Warranty company, sending dozens of photos to prove damage to the furniture, plus ignored emails and text messages. The warranty is a joke as well. Even though we paid for it, it only provided us with a $480 "credit" to replace the bed, despite the fact that our model bed had been discontinued! So we couldn't even replace the bed we originally purchased, to match the rest of our bedroom set furniture, nor pick out a suitable replacement without being tied to an arbitrary amount of money. And to add complete insult to injury, they REFUSE TO REMOVE THE OLD, BROKEN BED when they deliver the new bed, even though I've asked them if they would do this repeatedly. I've requested numerous times from sales representatives to have a manager contact me, as I've been unhappy with the service, and have not received a single call. I just came home from my worst experience at this store. Worst because the salesperson Rahima has absolutely no manners and doesn't know how to speak to a customer. When I had come in, Rahima came and asked what I came in for. When I had told her, she said to find her after I find what I wanted. So while I was looking around and found 3 pieces, I had went to Rahima to check out. She rang me up and that took about 30 minutes. Then I had asked her if a $100 cash rewards given by the store manager Sam Odeh could be applied to the purchase. (I had purchased $6,000 worth of bed and dining furniture 2 months ago for which I received a $100 cash rewards that I could apply for my next purchase at Ashley furniture as I've been a customer for over 10 years now.) After I asked her, Rahima instantly became furious and said, "who do you think you are? You think you can take everything for free?" And mind you, she said this with such a nasty attitude. She then had the audacity to throw the bill at me and say let me know if you want it or no, and walked away. I literally only needed a yes or a no answer. If she said no, I would have gladly paid the full price, because I was buying these items for my dads death anniversary. I had told her immediately that she can't treat a customer like this and then she argues back aggressively saying "I don't care what you say I have other customers to worry about" and keeps walking. I went immediately and spoke to the office manager Husein Kujukovic and explained everything and was in tears. After explaining and talking for almost 30 minutes, he apologized for her behavior. While walking out of the store, Rahima looked at me and gave me a very dirty smirk. I am so shocked that sales representatives can be so degrading and rude. I will never recommend this place.
