This was our very first couch purchase, and she made the entire experience easy, stress-free, and genuinely enjoyable. I made a purchase during the Memorial Day sale. Found a dining set I absolutely loved and decided to purchase it. They had a promo on this set for 24 mos free financing or 60 mos. I inquired about the sale price and was told by Zara salesperson that price was if you were purchasing it outright. She omitted that the sale price also qualified for the 24 mos financing. I called the store and Zara said sorry you signed the contract there's nothing I can do and that I can call customer service but I wouldn't receive a different answer. I decided to call and complained about this with their customer service dept. the god forsaken 800 # which supposedly opened a ticket to address this issue. I was supposed to get a call or email in 24-48 hrs. A few hours later the store called me back go figure and Val the manager or whoever she claims to be said she would write up new contract which reflected the sale price. Here I am still disputing cost with the finance company because the store hasn't submitted the new contract which I had to make an additional trip to the store for and I am still being over charged. As if that is not bad enough, the service is not great to say the least. They are rude and not helpful at all. I tried explaining the situation was given a business card with a cellphone number I was told I could reach out directly if I needed any further assistance only to be ignored and pushed on to other people who basically told me there's nothing they can do and I need to contact the finance company. Isn't it the stores job to send invoices to the finance dept so that they are aware of what we are being charge including the terms? Horrible experience which I am still dealing with months later. Night and day from my first visit! I wanted to get another couch for my living room and came to check out their selection and sales. First I was greeted by Danny, and he was friendly and helpful. He walked us through the different couches and helped us narrow down our selection. Then we went home to double check the measurements before purchasing. I called to ask a few follow up questions and Victoria answered! And let me tell you she is EXCEPTIONAL! She was able to answer all my questions. She was thorough and transparent which I really appreciated! I was able to purchase my couch through her and she followed up a couple days later as promised to confirm the delivery date with us. They delivered the wrong item and said I could keep it but it was broken. Couldn't get ahold of any higher locations. Finally went in and after getting some assistance by a manager Taj, was able to return and talk to the store manager Kiersten. She reeked of marijuana, was clearly high and tried to solicit her personal web page selfie queen or something. To make it worse she had me take some lamps and a painting " on the dl " as she put it for $20 cash. All that was bad enough but still delivered to the wrong table we which was broken. Where to begin with this monstrosity of a disappointing experience. Purchased several items at the golf mill location back in 2021. They touted the warranty plan that should last 5 years. Within a couple month, we reported a year on a couch. Issues within the 1st year of purchase would be handled by the store. Anything after would go to warranty company. We reported to store a tear a few months after purchase, which they should have handled. They dragged their feet and the year passed. We made the mistake of not following up. We foolishly believed they would handle it. We didn't call back till after the year. So now, the warranty company says they would handle it. But the policy is cancelled in their system. They said I need to work with Ashley to have them reactivate this. We are still waiting almost four years later. Wit h the store blaming the warranty company and the warranty blaming the store. TL;DR Deceptive sales tactics, I'd advise you to spend your hard-earned money elsewhere. Did I see the bad reviews? Yes. Should I have listened to the reviews? Yes. Did I? No. Regrets? Major. THE SALE: First, salesperson initially stated the sofa he recommended was in stock and able to be delivered within a few weeks....except when he looked up the color/combo we wanted now all of a sudden it was a few months. Okay maybe this is a little understandable, but just the first of a cascade of half-truths. Second issue, did not let us know about the sales/promotion going on that was clearly marked throughout the store and tried to quote us the full price. Then explained the promotion inaccurately. Third, bring your calculator because these guys are unable to clearly explain the cost they are quoting you. Our salesperson gave us a general quote after discount including the protection plan and shipping/handling. I asked for a breakdown of the what each was costing and he basically gave us the price of the sofa and said we could kind of calculate it ourself?? They refused to give a breakdown in writing before the purchase but eventually gave a verbal breakdown as we were checking out. Fourth, use the calculator, I asked for an out the door price, including tax. They gave me a number, but when they had already rung everything up and we're ready to hand them the credit card they say, oh wait, that was NOT including tax, it's actually $300 MORE because of the tax. At this point we're feeling pressured because they're just waiting for me to hand over my credit card while I'm processing this extra $300. We paid it but I felt like a schmuck. Fifth ask about the fine print in the protection plan BEFORE agreeing, they pitched it as "What you pay for the protection plan, you get back as store credit if you don't use it". In the documentation printed AFTER checking out they say $300 off $500 purchase. Which is different from store credit, it's a coupon. In the paperwork they had us review AFTER checking out, instead of the shipping date in ~8 weeks they verbalized multiple times, it states up to ~14 weeks. At this point my frustration was brewing and I made my feelings known, asked what their cancellation policy is (you know in case we change our mind in the 2-4 months it's going to take for this sofa to come in), to which his and his Manager's response was basically: we offer store credit, we can exchange but can't cancel. Our salesperson was new and kept using that excuse for his lack of knowledge. Which is fine, but then find out. Either he hasn't had enough training or they're training him to use these deceitful/lying by omission strategies. Either way completely unacceptable. My fault for not asking, not advocating for myself, and not listening to my gut. At the end he had the gall to ask if this was my first time furniture shopping (all the questions I was asking, my increasing dissatisfaction with their answers/lack thereof). He called his supervisor over when I was asking about cancelling who again stated no cancellations, and said if it was too much money I could do financing. But in my mind IT'S *clap* NOT *clap* ABOUT *clap* THE *clap* MONEY. It's about who I'm giving my money to and at this point they were being insulting and I didn't trust them to give me a clear answer about anything and wasn't looking forward to another 3-4 months of headaches. We ended up leaving after having paid. But after a day of thinking and processing we decided to cancel. THE CANCELLATION Called the Guest Care Team number 866-787-7930 listed to call under "Cancellations" on the paperwork they provided. The rep told me they can't do cancellations at that number and to contact the store. I didn't feel like wasting my time with the staff at the store again as they no doubt would give me the same BS they gave the first time I was there. Even longer story short I ended up calling corporate (608-323-3377). Who transferred me to another person who was able to complete the cancellation "on their end" but also stated we would be receiving a call within 24-48H regarding the refund. I asked what to do if we didn't get a call and he told me to follow up with the sales dept at 866-436-3393. Which I did and they reassured me someone would be reaching out to me. Sure enough, the store contacted us within the day with more discounts to try to get us to keep the order but again, NOT ABOUT THE MONEY. UPDATE 5/13/2025 - Dear Ashley Furniture Owner - please be advised that I have contacted the below-mentioned Customer Svc. number last week, per your response, and as of today nothing has been resolved, nor did your Customer Svc. rep contacted me back as she told me they would get back to me within 24 hours with a solution. After this final attempt to Customer Svc, I continue to have no faith and confidence that Ashley Furniture is going to follow through on their word. This is unacceptable service, and with that said, I will no longer shop at Ashley Furniture for anything! In late December 2024 I purchased two love seats under the condition that they would order me the same sofa fabric color throw pillows which the sales person said would be no problem and would order the same fabric throw pillows to make a sale. It is now May 7, 2025, and I have yet to receive the two last throw pillows out of four. Yes, it's been 5 months later and this store has yet to deliver on their word that I would get the pillows. It's been a 5-month frustration with the staff, as well as the store manager, Taj, who have been telling me the same story that the pillows have been placed and could not give me a timeframe when they would arrive. Well, after 3 months, they called me to say that two of the four pillows arrived and I can come pick them up. When I got to the store, I told the manager it's been over 3 months I have been waiting for the four pillows and couldn't understand why two pillows slipped away from the order if supposedly the virtual manager placed the order for the four pillows. I told the manager I would have never purchased the couches if your store was not able to deliver their word on the matching sofa fabric pillows because that is what I wanted, and went on to say that your sales person, Victoria, checked with her manager to make sure the store was able to deliver on my request which she confirmed and then placed order on the loveseats. Two people that delivered it could barely communicate in English. The legs for the powerbase were way too high for my bed. I was getting calls from Ashely advising there were coding errors with the order, and I would have to pick it up in the Lima Ohio Distribution Center. In speaking with an Ashley store in Ohio, I came to find out there is not a distribution center in Lima and that the Niles' IL location cannot ship out of state so should not have taken the order. The caller could also not provide me a physical address to pick up my order and there is nothing online to assist me. I then attempted to call the sales rep and he advised me he no longer works for Ashley, and I would have to call the Assistant Manager "Talge" at the Nile's location. A few weeks back, I came looking for a couch since ours didn't fit through any of the door fittings. While there, the salesperson told us they were having a mattress sale and thought, why not get a bigger bed. We ordered a specific color modular couch that will 100% fit through the door and the mattress for a good price. We were excited when he informed us it would be delivered the coming Tuesday. On Tuesday, they delivered two different colored modular pieces and we had only ordered one color so we had to send it back. The mattress worked well, however. We were told they wouldn't be delivered until the next week, bummer. The day before the delivery due to unforeseen circumstances, neither of us can be home to accept the delivery so I call their corporate office which sounds like a person in their home with a really bad internet connection. She confirmed it would be rescheduled for later that week and before ending the call, I had her reconfirm the date and time. The day before our delivery, we call Ashley once more to confirm our delivery and they said the dispatcher scheduled our service in one system and not the other. Who knew they had to collaborate with two systems... They rescheduled us for the next week. Once again, the day before the delivery, we called to confirm and they said everything looks good. We finally received the couches which look amazing in our home. The two stars do not reflect on the quality of the sofa or mattress but the way everything was handled after the purchase. The quality of the sofa and mattress would be 5 stars but their errors and delivery need help! After spending over 3K you would expect some semblance of customer service but we received none of that. We ordered a table and delivery with their "white glove service". They delivered the table after bumping it into every corner and wall imaginable but it turns out they were missing crucial parts necessary to actually put the table together. You'd expect any reasonable company to follow up and send someone out ASAP with the parts to assemble, right? Nope, it turns out we have to call every day for a week straight and receive different answers from every person we speak to. One person states "we've opened up a ticket", next person states "we've ordered the parts and will ship it to you directly in 7-10 business days". A week later we find out the parts were never ordered, completely unprofessional. It's virtually impossible to get on the phone with anyone from the corporate office so we've resorted to calling the store we placed the order from. Turns out they just want to make the sale, take your money and do nothing after that. I will definitely be joining the list of people who have reported this scam to the BBB. If you are reading this, don't be like me, go somewhere else--anywhere else! It's not worth it. If you purchase something from this store you better hope they get it right the first time otherwise you will be out of luck with half-made furniture just lying around your house. They need to rename this place to TRASHley Furniture, at least when it comes to service. For the second time in a year, my order is delayed far beyond the original date. I get the supply chain issues and whatnot that are going on right now, but they completely fail to provide any updates or communication. When you buy something from them, they are all big talk about how they will let you know when the item will be ready, will inform you about any delays, etc...but then they disappear entirely. If you call their number, a robot answers and tells you that your order will be ready sometime in the next decade. Both times I ordered from them, I am experiencing delays of more than three months beyond what they told me. If it's going to be a long time before the item is ready, be honest about it. If they told me six months, I wouldn't be mad right now. And if there's going to be a delay, tell the customer. Even an automated text would be helpful. This isn't hard. read more

We went to look for furniture knowing we may have a delivery problem with the holidays but settled on a couch because the store associate told us it was in stock (even though online it said out of stock). We were assured that it is different online and in stock with guarantee delivery in two weeks (possibly due to any end of year bonuses and commission she would have received). The day before the alleged delivery date we get a text saying it'll be delivered 2 weeks after. We called to confirm and was told no that's actually being delivered 4 weeks later. I'm a reasonable person but the hassle, lies, and inconvenience of it all left me with such a sour taste that I canceled it immediately. Purchased furniture back on June 16th. It is now 10/22 with no prevail of when we will receive anything. Calling the store is at least a 45-75 minute hold. They will transfer you around to give you the run around and no answers. I've been told the furniture would arrive end of July, then August 24th, changed to September 9th, 24th, 28th, then October 14th. We bought a sectional a few weeks ago and hate it... we were never told there was no refunds. We thought if it didn't work for our living room we could return a part or two and even mentioned to the sales lady and she never said we couldn't so we assumed we could. Come to find out after calling customer service because obviously the store doesn't handle phone calls that it's all NON REFUNDABLE and you can't even exchange anything! All we wanted was to exchange the chaise to a love seat and customer service was rude and connection was awful.
