I have to say first I was very hesitant to purchase from this store based on the reviews alone but I had always had a great experience with Ashley's in general so I went ahead and stopped in looking for a sectional.. Mike was the salesman, I have to say he was great no pressure and very personable.. I decided on a sectional made the purchase and was told it would arrive by the end of Feb.. Mike told me he would give me an update in 2 weeks and he in fact called and updated me like he promised.The furniture actually arrived 10 days in advance of what I was told, delivery and setup was the very next day. Showed up on a whim in December. Angela was the gal who assisted us and she was awesome. She could tell we didn't like sales people so she gave us the space we wanted but was close enough where when we had questions she was available to answer them, even though the place was packed. We ordered a few items and were told it would be around 3-6 weeks for delivery. Well, it ended up being 6 weeks, but we weren't in a terrible rush so it wasn't that big of a deal, but thought it was worth noting in case you think you will get your furniture any faster... think again. The furniture arrived and the reason we are giving it such a low amount of stars is the quality of the bed. For $2,000 for two items, I am shocked at how poorly made it is. We ended up having to go to Home Depot and buy wood to fix the bed. Although the service was top notch in the store, we will never buy from there again. This is worse than IKEA or Target furniture. =( But if you do decide to shop there, Angela is awesome and very knowledgeable, so seek her out if you can. I saw some of the salesmen there were high pressure with their customers and very annoying to listen to them talk. My husband says the furniture is not as bad as I think it is. I can't say enough about this Ashley Homestore! We went in to purchase furniture, mattresses and knick knacks for an entire house. The selection and quality of all of their furniture is impressive. With the help of Shawn we were able to pick out, and order all of the furniture in two days! Boom...done! The store manager Bradley, and store owner Yip, were also outstanding! They were both available for questions, checked often on our delivery dates and could not have been more helpful! The furniture was delivered on-time and in pristine condition. The delivery folks were considerate and very careful with the furniture and our home. I highly recommend this store, their employees and their awesome furniture! -10. First off I bought my last couch it was the cheapest set from ikea (It lasted ten years) I decided I'm an adult I'll buy from a furniture store and local. I didn't have the money to buy from a boutique, but wanted to support people that work in bend. I bought the super fancy warrant. it broke within 7months than they sent me to warranty people that took two months they were going to pay me for the couch but last minute told me it's still under manufacturer warranty. I called Ashley back they were like "I don't know why they(the warranty company) didn't fix it but thats fine we will" week later they pick up my couch. Feb6 today is April 3 I still have no couch. and every time I call it's like yes we're working on it, it will be done soon. 2 months people. they shouldn't be in business. All in all I bought a couch and in the first year have had a 1/4 of the year I don't get to have it. I was I could start a business we're people gave me money and I gave them trash and excuses in return. on second thought I'd feel bad about that and probably give them there money back and apologize for my existence. read more

I was in search of a small apartment-sized sofa with chaise. I looked everywhere and decided to stop at Ashley. I was met at the door by Betsy, and glad I was! She was energetic and listened to what I wanted and needed and found me the perfect sofa and within my budget. Betsy was a delight to work with and made furniture shopping enjoyable instead of dreadful. My sofa was delivered one week later with no problems. Highly recommend this store...and Betsy! read more

Recently purchased furniture at Ashley and was given a 2-3 week estimated delivery. I received a call from Terri our saleswoman who was very apologetic letting us know there is a truck drivers strike in California and there could be a longer delay in receiving our furniture. I am disappointed as I was looking to receive it before the holidays but I also understand how this matter is out of the stores hands. I also reminded myself how pleased I was with the prices and Terri was so wonderful to work with (we felt like we had gained a new friend!) that this mishap and delay wasn't the end of the world. read more

Update: after contacting the Ashley Corporate Office I was able to walk in and return my items. This experience was 1,000 times more pleasant. I have no idea why this could not have just happened in the first place. I am grateful to those who had a part in turning this terrible experience around. ------------------------------- I just had the worst, and I mean WORST customer experience of my life. I never write reviews. And it takes a lot to get under my skin, but I cannot believe the way that I was just treated. First there was a miscommunication in what I wanted to order. Then, when I called to talk through the issue with the sales person, Mark, he was not helpful and acted like it was an inconvenience to try and make the issue right. When he would not help me, I asked if there was a manager that I could speak with. Mark told me that a manager was not in the store and would not be available for 4 days. When I called back 4 days later, I was still not connected with a manager, put on hold multiple times while someone "spoke to the manager on my behalf" and then ultimately told they could not help me. They kept apologizing for not being able to help, but then when I asked to speak to the person in charge that could make the decision, they refused to allow me to speak with him and would not even give me his name. I was specifically told, "Our management chooses to not get involved." I understand policy. I understand security. I do not understand terrible customer service. Especially in today's market where you can find the exact same merchandise from multiple sources. Buyer beware. Do not buy furniture at the Bend, OR Ashley Home Store location! read more

Hit a few bumps while discussing with them about possibly exchanging a few pieces out of the ten or so that we had purchased and the manager had said a few words that really offended us (My roommates and I) -although he took it back but still- but it worked out in the end. read more

The employees at Ashley HomeStore in Bend are amazing. All I encountered were very kind, and very helpful. I ordered two bed frames, and two foundations and both are just what I wanted. I have had an absolute train wreck of an experience with Ashley. Like a flaming oil train into a school bus loaded with hand grenades. Other than Chris, the nice salesman that helped my wife, Ashley has consistently over promised (oops. Not promised. Strongly implied because they don't know what is going on and can't promise anything ) and under delivered. Actually not delivered at all as I still don't have my furniture. My wife and I have scraped and saved for years to set up being able to buy the house we are attempting to furnish. Part of that deal includes us being able to rent part of the FURNISHED house to help cover the payments. Due to failing to deliver I've now lost 2x the cost of the sofa in lost revenue and the costs continue to soar. To make matters worse, management was extremely rude to our manager when trying to get to a solution. A manager who runs 20 properties and knows every other property manager in town. That's smart leadership there, Ashley. Anyway, after turning my manager off to using this store, the manager knocked off early for Thanksgiving, leaving a poor staff to try and help me. Of course the information they fed me was wrong and most likely to get me off their back. I do not use yelp to flame businesses. Most of my reviews are 3 or 4 stars. I've only left a few other 1 stars in all my years of yelping. Ineptitude coupled with poor service and incompetence. Lastly, they promised to refund our delivery fee a week ago as a way to make up for being late. Oops. They didn't even do that. Do NOT shop here. I understand they just opened but their customer service is horrible. I know they don't have anything in stock but I was told it wouldn't be an issue getting things delivered before thanksgiving when I ordered 3 weeks ago. The salesperson who won't be named because he seemed to be nice claimed he "ordered direct from Ashley for years and 2 weeks wouldn't be a problem." I was suspicious enough and had enough on the line to call him 4 times since I ordered to make sure I was getting my furniture. Yesterday I spent 40 minutes on hold before I hung up and after being promised yet again "we will make it right" I don't have furniture. I would love to cancel the whole thing if I could. I guess the $5,500 that I spent here wasn't enough to get what I wanted. Shop elsewhere. read more

If I could give them no stars, I would. We purchased a sofa and loveseat a week before Thanksgiving and were told it would be delivered the week after the holiday. The estimated delivery date came and went and I gave them a few extra days before I called hoping they would be proactive and call me, but no, nothing. I called only to get the excuse of a trucker strike, but it would be in that week. The week passed and again no call, so I called again, and now the excuse was the items were back ordered. Another delivery date was given, which again passed with no contact from Ashley. I called again to hear it would be another week. They finally did call me to arrange delivery, I asked for a date a few days out to have time to get rid of our current furniture and was told no, they could not hold it that long. I agreed to a delivery time the next evening, only to be called an hour later and told that in fact, it was not in but should be on the next truck. This has been going on for over a month. The original delivery date was Nov 29 and tomorrow is Jan 1 and I have not heard from them since Dec 21st when I was told it would be delivered before Christmas. At this point I would love to cancel the order, but of course, they will charge me. Please learn from my mistake and do not do business with them!! read more

We placed an order for an entertainment center and were quoted a six week delivery. We double checked some measurements and within two days called to cancel the order. The Store Manager checked with the owner. They would not cancel the order. They offered us a store credit or to pay a 30% restocking fee. Based on the six week quoted delivery this seems like very poor business. WE WILL NOT BE SHOPPING HERE EVER AGAIN. read more

I wish I would have read the reviews before purchasing. I also have had a terrible experience with Ashley's Furniture customer service in Bend. I purchased a sectional couch on March 10 and was given a shipment date between two and three weeks. After the third week, I called to check on the shipment. However, it was not in and they continued saying, "it will be in next week." We are now on 6.5 weeks of waiting on the furniture and have received nothing but a headache. I just purchased a home in Redmond overseeing Bend, OR. I had heard that the community was pleasant, honest and friendly. They were very friendly in the store when I got there. Christina was my sales person She was very attentive and since I had not relocated yet, I only had a couple of days to furnish our home. I asked FIRST if they could deliver in 3 days and was told that that would not be a problem with most items and they would let me know otherwise. Fair and sound response. I run my own business and setting the expectation for your customer is a critical stage in any sale or service experience. I was so short on time and resources, I did not have time to Yelp or follow up on their customer service experience. I should have. After they wrote up the initial sale, they added a sofa that I had changed my mind on, as it was not available immediately. It was on my order listing when I left, I had to call them back to remove it (without a fee). Then I received 2/3 of my order, but the secretary desk that I purchased was poorly made and so they took it back. Then I called and asked about the rest of the furniture and they said that they had not guaranteed that it would be there and that it was in a warehouse somewhere. OK. They did not have an expected delivery date yet. OK. I called back two weeks later and followed up with the sales person and the operations manager (who is never available). After a couple of messages, I got a call back and she was surprised that I had not received my order and said it was held up because of the secretary chair. They delivered the secretary chair. I called and let them know that I had the secretary chair already, I needed the a desk and a whole bed. This was the last week in May, It is now the end of June and we received the mattresses for the bed only. I received another call asking when we would like the secretary chair delivered. Wow. No follow up, no customer service, the employees answering the calls were nice but not helpful. I don't understand, as the Ashley's in the Bay Area is very good and keep their commitments. Something is very wrong with this location. I am still calling to try to find my furniture. Of course there is no refund possible with out a fee imposed, even if you don't have the furniture yet! Wow. My next stop is the BBB. It is not acceptable for them to conduct business this way and not be held accountable by consumer services. The rest of the vendors in OR by the way were lovely, honest and very helpful. They do live up to the community that I had heard of and hoped for. It is a beautiful state. read more

I will never step foot in this store again. The salesman didn't know what he was doing and tried to sell us each piece as a separate price on a bed frame ie the drawers and headboard and foot board and railings, which made the actual price of the frame increase by several hundred dollars. We ended up doing an order online and the delivery was days late. When we finally got the frame we noticed it was pretty poor quality and was only painted on one side of the headboard, so the other side is bare partical board and not to mention it's flimsy. We had set up a payment plan (which took about an hour) that was supposed to make automatic bi-weekly withdrawals from our bank account in order to help us pay the frame off before getting charged an enormous fee if it wasn't paid off by an allotted time. Turns out it was only taking bi-monthly withdrawals and we were asked to pay an extra $800 since the frame wasn't paid off within the agreed plan.The purchase from this store has been nothing but a hassle from the moment we walked in. read more
