I purchased a bedroom set in early April as a gift for myself, we are now at the end of March with no bedroom set still. The store have continued to tell me the items have been pin back order. I should have posted this months ago but I was still too ill to do so. After being diagnosed with a rare form of Cancer on 4/8/18 I had emergency surgery on the 16th and released from the hospital on the 22nd in which I knew with my condition I did not have a proper place to sit at home where I could get up without struggling. We had very old furniture and I knew I needed a new couch at the very least. We have always loved the customer service at Ashley's and knew that was where we wanted to go. With my husband at my side we drove to the Ashley's in Palm Desert before going home from the hospital. I was in a lot of pain and could not stand for long. Felix was our Salesman and he could see I was struggling and proceeded to find us a couch set I fell in love with and was able to get out of with little assistance. As I waited for the financing to go through I asked to see the Manager that day to see if there were any further discounts he could offer. Brian was the Manager that day and as he approached I began to explain to him why I needed a new couch...then I burst into sobbing tears due to the pain and could barely talk! Brian and Felix were so compassionate and caring while my husband stood next to me speechless in not knowing what to do. Brian asked me to sit down and he and Felix went to go chat. They both came back with a price within our budget and asked me if I wanted to pick out a couple pillows to help as well. They were my heroes that day! I was able to regain my composure and take some pain medication before we headed home. I have always remembered their kindness and compassion...so a BIG shout out to Brian and Felix for the neighborly love they showed to me in my time of need. We truly will never forget. I am still not out of the woods yet but I have a couch that I love that has seen me every day of this journey thanks to these 2 honorable men. Thank you both! read more

BE CAREFUL!! I went with a good friend to shop for several pieces of furniture for a new home. Lorena was pleasant and seemingly professional with above average product knowledge. However, my friend told her clearly that he did not want insurance / protection, nor did he want a $159 new liner for the new mattress. She showed him a written number / lump sum quote for several pieces of furniture. We should have asked to see the invoice right away. When we did eventually ask to see the invoice, there was a discrepancy on a king bed set and mattress that my friend had wanted as a California King. In addition, the invoice listed charges for the mattress liner that he declined PLUS insurance / protection that he also declined previously. It's too bad, because up until then my friend was going to come back to shop for even more furniture such as a sofa. I hope that Ashley Furniture gets the delivery right on what he did buy. I will update my review after delivery. This is my first negative review on YELP, but I just cannot recommend Lorena from Ashley Furniture. If you do buy, ask to see the invoice right away before starting financing. I will say that Ashley Furniture gave him 0% interest for 24 months, so that was positive. Update: The delivery went smoothly. Andreas and his co-worker were on time and very professional and skilled with putting together the furniture. read more

Now they call me 1 week before the scheduled delivery and tell me I have to wait another month. Very unprofessional . I am going to cancel my order and take my business elsewhere. I had a great experience at Ashley. Walked in hoping just to look around a moment later was greeted by Hector. He explained a few things about pricing then left me to myself which I liked. When I found something I found him and he was very helpful and answered all my questions. I bought 2 rooms of furniture and he was very upfront about delivery. I couldn't get them on the same day but I was ok with that. I didn't have to pay 2 delivery charges. The crew that delivered were wonderful, I inspected everything and there were no problems. Extremely poor customer service and follow through once we bought living room furniture. Was assured delivery would be made a week after purchase. Surprise !! No delivery, no call, after taking time off from work. Finally after reaching a manager, was told furniture was in warehouse, but couldn't be delivered for 8 more days. What do they use, a friggin' horse and buggy! Soooo, no furniture to sit on for my guests for Thanksgiving, I trusted their word enough to get rid of my old stuff. Happy Holidays.... read more

ONE STAR IS GENEROUS! Our experience with Ashley's Furniture has been nothing short of disappointment. 3 weeks ago we purchased a new bedroom set for a Christmas gift for our little girl, we set up the delivery date for December 23rd (3 weeks from the time of purchase) they assured us this would be no problem! We paid the 140.00 shipping fee. Today I receive a call from the store confirming that my furniture delivery date has been rescheduled, I let them know that we did NOT reschedule our delivery and explained (again) that this is our daughters Christmas gift!! The woman on the phone was more than rude. She could have cared less! The only solution she had for us was to deliver the furniture a week after Christmas! I asked to speak with the manager multiple times and she refused to let me speak with a manger!!! She said "He's not going to tell you anything different"! After hanging up with her, I called the store back and asked to speak with the manager, I was asked my name and told the manager is busy and will call me back! That was 3 hours ago, I've called twice since then and each timeI was told 1. He is on lunch now, he'll call you back in an hour 2. He's with another customer he'll call you back right away. Still NOTHING! Thank you Ashley's Furniture- our daughter will wait a WEEK to have her Christmas gift!! We may just cancel our order and go somewhere that customer service is actually recognized!! read more

Monday was our first visit. We were greeted and then had no problem in looking at everything on our own...just as we wanted to do. When we decided on a desk Abbe was totally helpful. 3 days later the desk, lamp, chair, rug, and file drawers came exactly when promised. Horrible! Ordered my sons furniture in November before the holidays and it is now end of January and my sons furniture is still on back order. Got the mattress and had to have them check and see if they had a temporary bed frame since his bedroom set was incomplete. They gave me a date in December and it did not arrive and a date for January that has now been pushed to late February. On top of that the delivery truck crashed through my front gate so HOA had to file a claim so that they would pay for the gate to be repaired. Ridiculous! read more

LIARS and RIP OFFS. One star is generous to tell our experience. I am completely disgusted with Ashley Furniture. We purchased a 3000 sectional couch here less than one year ago. We were absolutely adamant that there be NO feathers in our couch. We made this very clear. And of course we were assured there was not. Also got suckered into the worthless "warranty" for 350.00 bucks. Oh and delivery - 200.00. Would not allow us to pick it up ourselves. Nine months later, feathers start poking out from the throw cushions. The back rest cushions are mis-shapen, the crappy foam wont go back into place. Mind you this couch is barely even used... and covered always. Total piece of crud. We go in to speak to the manager, Albert... looking for some kind of resolve...since we were lied to! He basically could give a hoot. He is more interested in defending his salesman Isi who lied about feathers in the couch... we leave with the regional sales managers phone number (which Albert was extremely reluctant to provide us with... we had to throw a fit to get it....) Finally after phone tag of two weeks Curtis the regional sales manager tells us to go back down (40 minute drive) and pick out something else and he will give quote "a smokin deal" of over 50 percent off. We do this, pick one out that is less than half the price of what we already spent... and we are literally told that he is now only going to knock off a couple hundred bucks off their supposed retail price. Apparently they think we are total idiots. As we walk out, disgusted and not accepting this "smokin deal"... we see our salesman Isi. We let him know whats happening... and he of course already knows... I'm sure they have all been talking about it in there. He has the audacity to tell us that he didn't know there were feathers, but found out after we bought it that there was and that this was quote " A learning experience for all of us." WHAT!! We all learned something here, and ultimately my husband and I paid 4500.00 for this "lesson." I will be filing a complaint with every possible agency that I can. read more

I am very happy with the Ashley home store in Palm Desert. I set out on Saturday looking for a bedroom set. I had planned to go to Mor, Macy's and Mathis after my first stop at Ashley. I believe it was Sal that helped me. I found a bedroom set that I really really liked and wanted. It was over my budget but it was good quality and solid wood. I purchased the set and a mattress. It was delivered the following Tuesday. I love my bedroom set and am happy with it. I had good experiences with the customer service staff, the delivery went smoothly and I sleep like a baby on my king pillow top. read more

Don't buy from Ashley Furniture unless you're looking to go through hell and back just to get your furniture to your house. A week ago my couches were supposed to be delivered. I just moved, alone, with my six month old daughter, while my husband is away over seas on deployment. I had changed my address with a customer service representative and was reassured that the delivery date would not be affected since the change of address was right down the street from the previously used address. Come to find out, despite the reassurance, my delivery had somehow been erased from that schedule. They then proceeded to tell me that they would not be able to deliver until that next week. So here I am, one week later, sitting on the floor with my baby, waiting for these couches to show up, but once again, shocker, I get a phone call and the gentleman on the other line tells me that they were not able to get on the base where I live because the driver's background check did not allow him to proceed onto base. It is not my problem that Ashley Furniture hires people with shady backgrounds that are not able to get on a military base. He then told me they send another team out the following morning. Well, here we are once again, sitting on the floor at 1 o'clock in the afternoon waiting for our couches to arrive when we were promised them by 9 AM this morning. I've never met such inconsiderate people that won't do anything that would cause them to have go out of their way to help a buying customer before in my life. I recently purchased a sofa sleeper at this store and was informed that it would be delivered on a specific date. Two days prior to the delivery date I began receiving and responding to text messages and voice mails to confirm the delivery. The messages continued on the delivery date and the last text message that I received stated the furniture would arrive in approximately 20 minutes. Unfortunately, the sofa was never delivered! I called the store and was informed that the sofa was on back order and not available. The customer service agent and also a manager had absolutely no idea why I was receiving automated updates for a product that was not delivered. In fact, they couldn't even determine IF my sofa existed!! Needless to say, I canceled my order. I also contacted corporate customer service and have not received a reply. read more

Bad service!! I bought a sofa-recliner that needed to be replaced due to a tear on the seat. The replacement arrived and the adjustable headrest was defective so the guys had to get my old sofa off the truck and take the new one away. They brought in my sofa and just left-didn't hook up the electronics to make it recline. The warehouse people said they called them to come back to my house, but they didn't answer. Brad, the store manager, said he would get them back and would call me. He never called. If you want to buy furniture, I would suggest Mor. They are much more courteous and professional. read more

Incompetent! When you're spending over $5,000.00 in furniture you would expect to get what you ask for. Well you don't and you have to go back to the store and clarify your order to which they still try to charge you an extra $750.00 for until you threaten to return everything. Then they sell you that same piece of furniture for $300.00. That made things better in my mind until the delivery date was over a month away. Then the rescheduling begins first 4 days later then over a week later after that. Needless to say don't waste your time or money at this place! read more

I received an email with a 10% discount from Ashley's home store. So I thought I'd go ahead and immediately use it to buy a sofa online (I buy most everything online). The coupon was 10 minutes old since I received it, but when I went to buy the sofa it would not take it online. Apparently there is some extremely small blind print buried in the offer. So I couldn't get the 10% on the sofa. I wasted 15 minutes online with a CHAT assistant... which was a waste. Then I called the Ashley store directly and spoke with Brian the manager of the Palm Desert CA store. He was just as dismissive and just recommended I "come on down" to shop. Basically it seems like a bait and switch. Nor did Brian care to say or offer anything else. I don't think he (Brian) nor Ashley care's about customers... I feel they just want to lure you in. Sad way of doing business, but I have not problems going to Mathis Bro's or other stores of better quality who treat their customers with more respect. read more

My wife and I came here looking to buy a Sleeper Sofa. We did research online and we wanted to see in person a sleeper sofa we liked online. As we walked in Felix helped us out and he showed us all of their sleeper sofas but they didn't have the one we wanted to see for 648 dollars. We fell in love with a sofa that was over our price budget during our visit at Ashley's furniture but we were firm with the price of 648 dollars. Felix very nicely said we can get the 1,000 sofa sleeper we fell in love for the same price as the sofa we were looking for from the beginning at 648 dollars. After the purchase we keep getting calls from Ashley furniture in Colton asking about our experience with our purchase and if we have any questions to give them a call. Once our sofa sleeper arrived we still get calls from them asking if we are happy with our purchase, and if we have any questions or concerns to give them a call. We feel like we are being taken care of not just form the first day we bought the sofa, but also after delivery. To us that's great customer service and they care about their customers. Felix was very nice, he gave us space, and time when making decisions, and we asked him questions and if he didn't know the answer he would ask his supervisor and he would come back with an answer. We definitely recommend Ashley's furniture based on our experience. read more

We our having problems with the durablend fabric,the covering is separating from the backing. we had to have the arms on our recliner replaced "perspiration" and the set was in the one year warranty. We our now having the same problem on our love seat were you lay your head.We were aware this was not leather, but we expect them to stand buy their product.We have had naugahyde furniture that lasted decades.Look at all the cars years ago that had naugahyde interiors our sectional is 2 1/2 years old. "that is kind of sad" after they sold us on the way it stands up. We will be getting a new set "fabric" wish this was naugahyde at least we would have a sectional set that would last at least 10 years not 2 1/2 years read more

I hate the feeling of being ripped off. I never really looked at the reviews of this place till after I spent over 5500.00 on furniture from Ashley Furniture. What a mistake. when they delivered our furniture, they also had an additional piece of furniture we didn't order. The driver refused to take it back and said he will pick it up at the end of his deliveries. That never happened. When we tried to take care of this after our vacation, the manager said no that it has been 6 days. 5 days was the last day to return an item. We spent 5500.00 and they wouldnt take back a 300.00 unit, that we didn't even order. The original sales person we delt with even said to just sell it on craigslist. Talk about unprofessional! I just hope no one else gets sucked into a situation like ours. read more

I had found a couch that I liked at Ashley but I was skeptical about doing business with them because of some of the bad reports I had read, SO I contacted a rep. and he assured me that they would do their best to work with me and that they were in the process of improving their customer service. I just got a new sofa and chair from Ashley Furniture in Palm Desert. I went to the store to pick it out. The salesman was helpful but not high pressure. I was allowed to look over the store without being bothered but he was there when needed. I placed the order but when I returned home I changed my mind. I called and was able to change the order by phone. I had to wait two weeks, but the furniture arrived exactly on the day specified. I received several reminders by phone and the day of delivery the movers called me to say they would arrive in 30 minutes. The movers were very courteous and worked quickly and efficiently. I love my new furniture and could not be more pleased. I will definitely return to by more from this store! read more
