Walked in the day after Christmas knowing they were having a 50% off Sale in everything. I was looking for a couch and love seat. Kenneth, approached me and asked if he could help me. I told him I was looking for a couch and love seat. He started to show me some products and when we came across recliners with adjustable head rests I was very interested. There were two I was very interested in. I left stating I will be back. I did go back to the store that day and purchased the best I thought would fill my needs as well as my home. I'm very pleased with the sales guy Kenneth, my purchase and the warranty as well. The furniture was delivered ont Jan 22nd and fit well into it's position. The delivery guys were very good efficient except for one thing. After they left I noticed one of the arm rests on the couch was loose, very loose. I called to have it looked at and made an appointment. The warranty service guy was on time and fixed the problem, and also checked all other questions I had regarding noises. Beware because if you buy something here and it does not fit in your room the way you want it to you are stuck with it as they do not take returns! What kind of store does not take returns? I only gave them one star because Danny my sales guy was so nice unlike the Manager who would not even answer a call from me. We loved this store and the excellent assistance that we received from our salespeople on the purchase of two automated recliner chairs. One year later, late February, the motor quit on one of the recliners. We weren't worried because we had purchased the extended maintenence agreement on the chair. We phoned Ashley's Furniture in Palm Desert to find out who we should call. We were told that someone would call us back. That did not happen. I called back again the next day and repeat. I then called to speak to a manager the next day and never received a call back because he was "busy" but someone finally did call me back with the information that I needed. I spent that day and the next being bounced from Florida to Texas to get an appointment for a technician to come and determine what the problem was with my chair. He was excellent. He determined that the entire undercarriage and electrical components needed to be replaced. Excellent, now we are getting somewhere. I should mention that this was in early March and this chair is stuck in the reclining position. So now we are told by the technician that he will put the order in and when we receive the parts, give his company a call and they will be out to install it. To make a very long story short, we finally received the parts yesterday May 29th. I cannot tell you how many times I called the store to speak to the manager and never received a call back, again because he was "busy." We emailed and phoned Ashley's Corporate Offices and zero response. The hold up all along apparently was that Ashley's would not give the warranty company the price on the parts that had to be ordered so that a check could be cut. The chairs were made by Ashley's and could only be ordered through Ashley's . I know this sounds ridiculous but it's true. So I am hoping that this chair will possibly be repaired sometime in June. Ordered furniture over the busy Labor Day weekend. Just got it delivered this Friday. I got a call two days prior to delivery for my four hour window. On the day of delivery I received a 30 minute call ahead informing me their on there way. The delivery team was very professional and handle the merchandize with care. I had question on the white furniture I had order and they answer all my question. They even hauled away my old mattress set. I will be back to Ashley to order my master bedroom furniture. read more

My husband and I shopped here the weekend after Labor Day and we had Ricardo for a salesman. I have to say, he was so helpful. Not pushy, didn't try to sway us to what "he" wanted us to purchase. He allowed us space to talk about our choices, sit on the furniture, but he was nearby to answer any questions we had. Horrible service! Ordered mattress for my son. Was set to be delivered before Christmas. My husband took the day off of work to be home for the delivery. They gave him a 4 hour window for delivery. It never came. He called a half hour past their specified delivery time and was on hold for over a half hour. I called the store directly to see what was the hold up. They checked their records and read him off their e-mails and his confirmations to their e-mails and the agreed delivery time. Once they looked into it further they realized it never was loaded onto the delivery truck to go out. It was still sitting in their warehouse. They said they would delivery it the Monday after Christmas. I was home with the kids waiting for the delivery on Monday. Again the delivery window time passed and NO delivery and NO call. My husband called the store from work, after I informed him no one showed up. They said they would "look into it". No one called. He went down there after work and spoke with the manager. They looked up his order while he was there and said it was set to be delivered on January 3rd! NO explanation as to why. They offered to waive the delivery fee. Which had already been offered when he spoke to someone the Friday BEFORE Christmas. He said that was not good enough, when he and I had each spent a whole day home not being able to go anywhere expecting a delivery. They said they couldn't do anything more. He said he would just prefer to cancel his order if they couldn't do anything more. They said okay they would cancel his order. No further attempts were made to save the sale or make things right. We will never do business with this company again. I would normally not waste my time writing a bad review and just move on to a place where I can get better service. But my disappointment with this company's service was beyond what I could dismiss. Don't waste your time here, there are many other places that still honor good customer service. read more

I ordered several things from Ashley and every time I have had problems with delivery. One time I ordered a bedroom set and before delivery they told me they don't make it anymore. They had it on showroom floor! Then we ordered a bed and they delivered the box spring only. Took 3 weeks to get mattress and we had given our bed away. Slept on couch and guest room. Just recently we ordered a couch and loveseat. They swore they had it at the warehouse. Well of course they called and said they only had the couch, no loveseat. We told them to wait till they had the loveseat. So they called and said they had everything and were delivering in a couple of days. They arrive with the couch only. UNBELIEVABLE! I called and they never return my calls. I asked for a manager twice and they say he is busy, but of course no call back. So they won't deal with this, they won't let me talk to a manager, they won't let you cancel unless you come in and corporate won't do anything either. I have charges on my card of course. NEVER, NEVER, NEVER will I shop at Ashley again. read more

Went into the store on Friday, Feb 13, 2015. Knew exactly what I wanted to purchase. Was approached by Ricardo Souza. The first bedroom set he showed me was exactly what I wanted. My friend talked me into upgrading to Queen instead of Full. He assumed that I would be financing. Not sure if he assumes that everyone spending over $1,000 NEEDS to finance or if it was because I'm black. I assured him that I would pay in full that day. Today, Thursday, Feb 19, 2015 was delivery day. I was told by Ricardo to carefully inspect everything, especially because I pre-warned him that I would accept not even a scratch. I expect quality only! While inspecting, I noticed a scratch on the headboard, that the delivery guy was able to cover to my satisfaction. While viewing the box spring, I noticed a hole on one side and a dent on the same side. I told them it was unacceptable and I need a new box spring. I called Ricardo who assured me that it would be taken care of today. Long story short, by the end of my inspection of the lamps, the lamps were left on the floor. I told them the lamps go on the dresser. One driver said in Spanish "I'm not doing it, she can do it. It's not our job." The other driver said in English, "It's not our job to assemble and pick up your lamps." I asked him, "So is it your job to leave my furniture (lamps) on the floor and make the customer pick them up?" I told them I was very unhappy with their POOR customer service. I called Diane (manager) who was not there, but spoke again with Ricardo Souza, who lied to me by telling me I would get a new box spring today. He got angry with me on the phone and after noticing his frustration, I said thank you for such poor customer service. I also told him I will NEVER do business with Ashley Furniture again and will let everyone I know and more know not to shop there. He answered angrily and unconcerned saying, "Ok then. Good bye!" The sad thing is, I still need my box spring and Ricardo Souza and Ashley Furniture HomeStore received their commissions and nearly $1,400 upfront from me! DON'T GO TO THAT STORE, unless you want to receive less than quality furniture and customer service! I WILL inform everyone I know about this horrible experience. I have never been treated this way when purchasing furniture, and WILL file civil charges if my box spring is not delivered within a reasonable amount of time. ONCE ASHLEY FURNITURE HOMESTORE GET YOUR MONEY, YOU ARE NO LONGER THEIR PRIORITY. THEY DO NOT CARE ABOUT CUSTOMER RETENTION AND ESTABLISHING LONG TERM RELATIONSHIPS WITH CUSTOMERS. I adopted a child and as a adoption surprise gift I ordered a bedroom set from this location to be delivered on a specific date. I had 12 pieces that needed to be delivered. Nothing was delivered on that date. After 4 weeks I got all the furniture. The delivery was done on 5 separate dates. The goods were damaged and on one occasion the delivery men dropped a piece on my patio floor making it break in half. I had to speak to the District Manager in the area. He gave me a $100.00 credit . More stuffed happened and Jessie and Bob promised to send me a $100.00 gift card but, I never received it. Writing a review on Yelp helps. What gets Ashley's attention is writing a note to corporate so all the managers can have a permanent mark in there file. I would suggest not shopping at this store as they ruined my adoption surprise. read more

Dont buy from here go and ask about refund policy before you buy if you choose to buy. Was mis lead with information. Not only are they overpriced but also are not honest. 1st salesman tells me to buy ashley mattress and when I went back the 2nd time another salesman told me not to buy Ashley mattress because they were the worst and they shouldnt even carry them. Should have seen that was a red flag. I needed to purchased a bedroom set and mattress. Thought I was getting great product and I thought wrong the mattress was uncomfortable and started to sagging in the middle. This was only 23 days after purchase. Called 800 number and was informed to call home store. Called homestore and it was a nightmare afterthat. The mattress ended up being defective after tech came out to inspect. Took over a month to get a new one after they refused to return my money since they had a NO REFUND POLICY... that was never explained to me and I should read the fine print on the back of my paperwork .. was what I was told. It was mess dealing with corporate, the store and the manager that never bothered to call me back. Talked to a total of 7 seven people throughout this incovinece and had to repeat myself multiple times. They didnt care about anything and just want the sale. It amazed me that this is the way they do business. When they finally delivered the replacement mattress the 1st it was wrong... lost 3 days of work throughout this entire process due to their lack of communication and unprofessionalism. They lack in customer service and hope that the replacement mattress doesnt fail because I will not deal with Ashley Furniture again. read more

Choosing the furniture in the showroom was great. Our sales woman was very helpful. On the other hand, delivery was a pain. All of our furniture was scheduled to be delivered on the same day. Unfortunately, the first delivery had one piece missing, so it was rescheduled. The next week, they came to deliver the missing piece and they brought the wrong one! Buyer Beware - "Over Promise, Under Deliver." My whole experience with Ashley Furniture has been pretty much a frustrating nightmare. Sure their product looks great in the showroom, the prices are not bad, and the sales staff are friendly and very helpful. That is until they get your money. We got in there around 6 pm on a Friday and successfully picked out 3 bedroom sets. We were probably their best customer that day having just bought a house. We were told that delivery took 72 hours, which we complained about, but figured we could handle. Having picked out everything within an hour, the nightmare began. It took 2 clerks and a manager 2.5 hours to enter everything into the computer. I had jokingly said that we should eat and come back, at the outset - which a good customer service rep might have told me would be a good idea. Firstly we had to go through line by line and fix various pricing issues. Secondly the delivery schedules were all over the place, some items taking over a month. I don't get that at all - items sold as a set in the showroom are not immediately available for delivery and arrive on staggered schedules. We were told not worry though, that they would fix that with a manager override. Everything was set be delivered on Sunday - 48 hours. On Sunday we got 3 box springs, 3 mattresses, and some cheesy throw in artwork that we could care less about. It would be another 2 weeks before the rest of our items would arrive. So, yesterday, we were assured that everything would be there except for one dresser - again not sure how a standard dresser could still be missing after 2 weeks. Knowing there'd be a 3rd delivery date, my wife asked about holding it and sending it all together. They could do that, but items that were ready now might be out of stock by the time the rest of it was ready. Basically they wouldn't hold our items to consolidate delivery, and would give them to someone else - as confirmed by the dispatcher. So delivery 2 came, missing the dresser, as well as 3 lamps, and some screws to put the bed frame together. Nobody knew about the lamps and we had to convince everyone they were really missing. The screws we were assured were a loading error and that someone would come by the next day to put the bed together. Of course no one ever called back. My wife spent multiple phone calls with the store (the dispatch center is closed on weekends), none of which were returned. Several attempts were made to talk with a store manager who we were continually told was busy with customers - I guess once you've paid you're not a customer any more, at least not as important as the ones who haven't paid. It was only when my wife threatened to return everything that a manager got on the phone. Our promised Sunday make up delivery was never upheld. Nobody followed through on that one - my wife suggested that the manager run over to Lowe's buy some screws and put it together himself. Instead we're waiting until Wednesday for that - with all the parts spread across our bedroom floor and propped against the wall. In short their service is appalling. They falsely advertise delivery dates. Wednesday will be our 4th delivery date, each of which we have to take time off work for, and even then I don't know if everything will be completed. We have many furniture needs having just bought a house, but we'll never go back to Ashley. Especially since no one wanted to fix our problems once we'd paid. read more

I purchased a chest of drawers 5/27 (Friday) and was told it would be delivered 5/29 (Sunday). On Saturday 5/28 I received a phone call that said: Oh, sorry, but we don't have one in stock and it will have to be ordered and it won't reach our warehouse until 6/6 and then delivered to you 6/8. I question why they did not know this when I made my purchase. When I called the store I was told their computer said there was 1 in stock. Ya-da, ya-da, ya-da. They don't seem to know how much stock they have. Now, instead of a 2-day delivery, it is a 12-day delivery. This is my first experience shopping with Ashley Furniture and I will seriously have to consider whether I will shop there again for future purchases. I am not happy. read more

Worst furniture I have ever bought. I hadn't bought furniture for 12 years and then I go and buy a double recliner that is so uncomfortable I hate to sit on it. I wrote a letter to the company and of course I have never heard back from them. I know I will spread the word not to buy furniture from this outfit again. To my surprise, I was contacted by a lady named Kristen Martinez who took the time to address my concerns. She emailed me with her response regarding my feedback. I was actually impressed at the point until I ran into another issue with this furniture chain. When Kristen emailed me, she asked me to explain my shopping experience and that she would forward it to the store manager. I explained to her that my personal experience with this store was too long to write in an email and that I would rather go over the details via telephone. Kristen then replies back and says that her office phone has not been setup yet. Are you kidding me??? You represent a company with over $3billion in revenue and you don't have a phone to discuss issues with unsatisfied customers? Why are you representing them on a social media site without a phone number? Folks, do yourself a favor and shop elsewhere. I have nothing positive to say about this furniture chain. read more

Ashley Furniture - avoid this store at all costs. They will sell you anything and then ignore you when there are issues. We bought a mattress, box spring, and frame - the mattress was undersized (the width and length were smaller than a standard king). After several requests by phone Ashley finally sent a "technician" to verify our complaint. He arrived with a ruler in his pocket and refused my offer of a tape measure. He walked around the mattress several times, examined the tags that were never removed, took pictures of the tags, then left. He never measured the length or the width. A customer service rep from Ashley called to say that based on the pictures of the tags Ashley had sold us the item we had ordered and that if we had an issue with the mattress we were to take it up with Sealy. This was a mere two weeks after delivery. Ashley was more than willing to take our money, but pretends that a quality issue is not their problem and that we have to deal with the manufacturer. They do not stand behind their products and they deny any responsibility for quality issues. Needless to say we will never shop at Ashley again, and if any of you value your hard earned dollars you will avoid them also. read more

Poor management and rude office staff. The salesgirl was wonderful and knowledgeable, but the rest of the staff will destroy the store. I bought a dining room table and chairs just before Christmas. They were supposed to deliver it the following week. They came to my complex long after the guard gates were closed. They promised to bring it the next day. I called the store, but the little girl who answered the phone wouldn't let me talk to the manager or the sales rep. She didn't reschedule or give them the message. One week later after several attempts to get my table, I called to cancel the order. The same little girl answered the phone and was more than happy to cancel my order. I finally spoke to the sales person, and she stated she never received a message. I'm sure the little girl who answered the phone is working for the competition. The manager didn't seem concerned either. Bye bye Ashley. Too many good stores to deal with you. read more

I'm not sure you want me to write this as I have had a terrible customer service experience with your store. We bought two barstools and a mattress set at your store eight days ago. Abel, a 3 week new salesperson was very informative, friendly and helpful. We also met Jessie, the "General Manager" at the end of our transaction who thanked us for our business which I thought was a classy touch. That is where the good ended. Delivery was scheduled for Wednesday and they came as scheduled, but without the mattress, explaining that it was backordered. So, why would you deliver everything else and expect us to sleep on a box spring? When I called Jessie, he said he would look into it and get back to me. I am STILL waiting for his call. In the meantime, another delivery was scheduled and cancelled, and after much back and forth and back and forth the mattress was FINALLY delivered this morning (8 days later) The only compensation offered to us was reversing the delivery fee; how big of you- YOU DIDN'T DELIVER!!! Diane did her best to avert the situation and was as helpful as she could be, but despite leaving repeated messages for Jessie to call me back, I've yet to hear from him. After trying to deliver yesterday (on my birthday for which the bed was purchased) during a time I informed them we would NOT be home, I told them that it had to arrive today between 8 and 12 or we would send everything back. I got the automated message that they would be there between 945 and 145. The automated message states you can call back if you have a problem, which I did, but they were closed! So, I called Diane again telling her about the problem with the time and that if it wasn't received by noon we were done. This is a very unfortunate circumstance and a very poor example of customer service. I will never shop there again and I can only hope the product is of quality or we will have yet another problem on our hands. read more

So now needing a couch for the living room went in on a Sunday and was just looking, ask if they had layaway, was told know so as I was exiting one of the salesmen said but we have this new type of deal, so he couldn't explain it to me so he go get a sales manager, girl come over and call herself explaining what they offer she said I we don't do credit check you just fill these papers out and pay the delivery fee and you can pay it off in whole but you can also pay on it.. Well come to find out the mess was RAC (rent a center ) in there store!!!!! That's what we where bamboozled into.. When we realize what the mess was we went in and ask to pay it off these morons told us we had to pay it all off in full as in right back to square 1 999.00 price.. Livid ..angry at there poor business practice ....needless to say told them to pick the couch up!!! I wouldn't buy a thing from them what so ever, and the furniture don't hold up, the couch was sagging afte 3 months..had nerves to send a tech out and try to re stuff the couch in our living room ..I knew then that couch was poorly made and wasn't going to hold up, no one even sat on the couch.. Love this place. Not quite sure why all the bad reviews I have bought things from here several times and never had an issue. As far as the quality of furniture goes it's not the best but it's not crap either if you get a warranty you should save yourself any headaches in the future. I had bought an ottoman there three years ago it recently broke beyond the point of repair and then gladly credited me the full amount to purchase toward a new ottoman. the new ottoman I found cost more than the original old ottoman and they were even kind enough to crefit me the extra $200. I was so satisfied that I went back the next day to purchase a bedframedelivery going took about three days to get to my house .they set up everything and it was in perfect condition. couldn't be happier with my purchases.if you do your research ask the right questions you shouldn't have any problem shopping at Ashley furniture the stuff is actually quite helpful read more

every single bad review on here is completely correct. the sales people are very annoying, following you around and bothering you to no end while you look. they promise you discounts and assure you that you will get your furniture within so many days, and when it comes time to sign papers, the price is somehow more and it will take weeks to get all your furniture. we rented-to-own a living room set and were promised that we would get everything we wanted within a week. guess what? we had to choose a different couch because the one we wanted wasn't in stock and wouldn't be for another month. after choosing another couch, we're informed that couch isn't in stock either, but we can get it within about two weeks. we left kind of bummed that we would be sitting on our floor for another two weeks, even though we were assured we would get out furniture within a week. a few days later we received a call saying our lamps and rug were on back order, so we wouldn't be getting THE WHOLE furniture set until they came in. after some negotiating, we were able to get everything else besides those things on back order, several days after the two week deadline we were promised. the furniture finally arrives and the guys setting it up were awesome. very friendly and hardworking, and got our furniture in and set up quickly. that is the ONLY positive part of this experience. we never got the rug. we're now moving out of state and arranged to have our furniture picked up by ashley before we leave (may 30). i told them very specifically that i was leaving then and would need it picked up by then, and i was assured that it would be taken care of. i was told i would be called when they arrived, which i wasn't. i came home to a note on my door saying "sorry we missed you!" i called and was told i would get a call back from someone in the RAC department, which i never did. i called again and they said they would call an hour before arriving. i have yet to get a call and it's now may 29. i'm leaving tomorrow and had to give them my landlords number and ask her to please take care of it. AWFUL AWFUL customer service and store, take your business elsewhere. i would hate for anyone else to have to go through all this trouble:( read more
