Absolutely horrible customer service. Ordered a cabinet on 2/3/21 and was told it would be delivered on 3/20/21. We are now on our 4th delivery date! Every delivery date was confirmed the day before. We stayed home during the 4 hour time slots and no one showed up. No phone calls at all. Every time I called customer service had no idea what was going on. Couldn't help me at all. It's for sure coming on this next date. We will see if it comes this week. We paid $60 for delivery and have stayed home 3 times waiting. I'm blown away a company can care so little. This is the worst furniture store we have ever dealt with. Do not shop at Ashley Furniture. The couch we bought was defective. The manager wouldn't call us back. We never signed the contract or initialed that we agreed to any terms. An obvious oversight on their part. When they found this out, they have avoided us ever since. We tried dealing with the corporate level and they did nothing. If you have the same experience, call your credit card company if you charged your purchase. They will take care of everything. If I could leave zero stars I would, but I will leave the one single star because our salesman was very nice. My bf and I ended up purchasing two things but the next day decided to cancel one of the two items. When I called they initially told me they couldn't help without the invoice number so I told them I could call right back. When I called back 10 minutes later no one was answering. I tried 10 TIMES. Out of curiosity I tired calling from a different number and they answered right away . I spoke with the manager Kevin who didn't care at all, then tried tricking me so we had to pay more when canceling. I love the furniture at Ashley, and had full intentions of using them to furnish my entire home. After that I will never buy from them again and will definitely recommend people stay away. Horrible !!! My mom is older and spent around 8,000 in this store. When her furniture arrived she didn't notice that the box springs on her mattresses were completely different . She ordered two of the same twin size mattresses for her kids room when the grandkids come to stay, the beds are in the same room. When she went into the bedroom again to put her linens on she noticed the difference. She called The store and let them know her issue. She also has talked to the sales rep, Nora who she worked with. All they do is give her the run around and still have not done anything about it . It's been over a month since she's had the furniture and her room is still not set up and she can't use the furniture in case they need us to return it. Not only did this happen but when we placed our order in the store Nora somehow forgot to order her queen mattress and my mom had to go into the store again and spend more money to get another mattress ordered when it was supposed to be a part of the " amazing deal" she thought she was getting. My mom is new to Roseville and getting her to the store was a mission in itself since she doesn't know how to get around town. They also changed the delivery dates on us 4 times. This has been extremely irritating and something that should be a simple fix . Send out a new box spring and take the other one, that's still wrapped up, away! I came here to buy a dresser. I think I got a pretty good price because I came during their half off sale and negotiated a little bit. I was pleased with the salesman I purchased from named Tim. He was friendly and cordial. He walked me through getting the 0% financing, which was also great. I scheduled delivery for a week later. My 4 hour home delivery window came and went and they showed up 3 hours late. Upon delivery two men arrived in a budget rental truck and knocked on my door and when I immediately answered it the guy was already walking away to get the dresser and yelled "here for delivery, need your signature." I found a pen, reviewed and waited to sign because it was a release clearing them of any damage to the product or my home. Then I saw them unload the large box and unwrap the dresser. It was brand new. They started to carry it in not knowing where they were going with it. They just came up to the door carrying this very heavy eight drawer dresser yelling "where does it go, where does it go?" I said "this way, this way" and led them down the hallway to our bedroom. They bumped the wall and door jam lightly, but it did leave a gouge in the wall and a scrape on the door jam. Once they set it down he said "sign here" and I insisted that I want to inspect it first. Upon inspection it was obvious that there was an enormous split in the wood along the left edge of the frame and two small white scuffs on the top edge from them hitting my door jam. I told him I wasn't happy with it because there's a big crack. He said they'll send a tech out to try to repair it. I said I didn't want a refurbished dresser - I want a new dresser, which is what I paid for! He insisted that the tech will handle everything including repairing my wall and repairing or replacing the dresser. I asked if I could reject the dresser and have him take it back now and he said no because they are only making deliveries. Then I opened one of the drawers and saw a box inside. I asked what it was and he said probably hardware. I opened it and it was the legs to the dresser. They didn't put them on before they brought it in. Then he told me there's no use putting them on now because I'm just going to return the dresser anyways. So, terrible customer service - lazy and rude and in a hurry. I received a terrible product - manufacturer defect split wood and damaged by the delivery men! I told him I didn't want to sign the release and he said I should sign that I got it and note the issues. I did this and he said a tech would call me right away. I didn't get a call so I called their delivery warehouse number a few hours later and reached someone after waiting on hold for 15 minutes. She was very condescending saying I should always reject an order if I'm not happy with it. I asked her if they are going to do anything for me to keep me as a customer because I was pretty unhappy. She said I might be able to get the delivery fee waived if I call the store and complain. (Boo! Not good enough!) She filed a report and attached pictures I sent to her. She said someone would call me within 72 hours to schedule the tech. It's been 84 hours and I haven't heard anything. Meanwhile my room is a mess because I don't want to put all the clothes from my old dresser (which I sold right before the new dresser was to be delivered) into the new dresser I'm not going to keep. I'm very unhappy! Won't be buying here again unless they do some major major damage control! A couple months later and I'm finally somewhat satisfied. They ended up sending me an automated text that I had a delivery scheduled for a week from that date. Kind of annoying because no one called me to get a report, considered my schedule for when the delivery would work for me and didn't tell me any of the details. I just went along though as to not blow it out of proportion. They arrived, delivered the new dresser and took the old damaged dresser. Took pictures of the wall and door frame damage and said someone would contact me about repair or reimbursement for the damage. No one did, so I followed up twice with them. That department doesn't answer their phone, they just call you back within a few hours. Since I have a frequently napping baby I don't keep my ringer on and I missed their call back a few times. After playing phone tag for two days we ended up speaking and coming to an agreement. They were to mail me a check and she said I would have it in 3-10 days. I got it about a month later. $350 for the damage I can easily repair is pretty good to me. Made up a little for the terrible service. But I still feel like they deserve a 1 Star review. read more

DO NOT GO HERE!!! I purchased $5000 worth of furniture. I purchased a 14 pc living room set, dining set with 8 chairs, bedroom set with lamps, side table, bed, dresser and a desk. The only two items that came UNDAMAGED were the couches. Every single other piece of furniture had large gashes and scrapes and cracks and paint chipped. I had a deliver March 1. They're supposed to deliver and assemble all furniture. Yet I'm still sitting here looking at a bed not put together and all the broken and nonfunctional stuff. The desk was completely broken. Can't use it. I had to call customer care in Southern California and explain the situation 4-5 times. Then they sent a third party tech to my home to "fix" the desk and all the other furniture and put the bed together. This happened on the 5th. But he came and said that he was only there for the desk and didn't even take a look at any other piece of furniture. He seemed the desk wasn't able to be fixed and should be replaced. I could have told them that. THEN they do an even exchange which is why I'm finally writing this. The delivery guys come today on the 11th and pull the desk out. Guess what. It has the SAME BROKEN PIECE AS THE ONE I ALREADY HAVE. I then call customer care for what is likely the 8th time. And the horrible ghetto sounding girl on the phone names Mila told me I was rude and had an attitude after me asking her literally 14 times to speak to a manager. She proceeded to HANG UP ON ME. so I called the store to warn them that if I do not get something resolved here, I'll be disputing the charge with my bank. So now I wait. I'm waiting for the store to get back to me. If they don't, I'll be disputing the charges for every broken piece of furniture I have. My original experience was terrible at the place then I went back in and had things corrected -after spending hours and thousands of dollars again- and so I thought. After late and failed deliveries I finally received my furnitures. 1st delivery - wasn't assembled right & dining set is filled it splinters. 2nd delivery broken sectional. 3rd delivery only 1 pillow. 3rd delivery another sofa damaged. 4th delivery finally pillows arrived. The only delivery that's right is the bar. Then I went through my receipt to look for the furniture online for measurements and I come to find out the different lower pricing available online even with the store's 50% off. I let the store know of the pricing issue and furniture damages and no follow up and was led on for months after so many excuses. Its holidays, sickness, management change, will look into it, will call back...It's now 4 months no follow up, no price adjustment and the extra protection warranty I bought on every furniture is useless as no one is doing anything to fix the issues. Sadly, I am so disappointed with my experience after buying from Ashley furniture. We came on a day where everything was 50% off, and our sales guy was great. We loved the couch and chaise lounge that was the managers special. The coffee tables were not in the store but we ordered them. Then the fun times begin. We examined our invoice and found out only 1 item out of 4 was discounted 50%. The others ended up being only 45%. We had to actually drive back to the store, because you are on hold an average of 45 minutes when you call the office number. Then the back started pulling out of the chaise lounge and we had to have a technician come out. The coffee tables ended up being rescheduled for delivery 2 times and that took about 3 weeks. Then we discovered the coffee table wood in the middle and the bottom was rough and not smooth like the top. Once again, we have to make another technician appointment. So the sales experience was great, but the furniture was sub quality, there were billing problems, no customer service to get through to, and many delivery delays and date changes, along with two repairs the first month. I am sure the CEO Todd Wanek in Wisconsin would be disappointed. I know I am. I recommend he go on Undercover Boss and see what is really happening. read more

Like it? Get it online if you can. 5 stars for the couches we got, 5 stars for the delivery guys that were very fast and efficient, and 1 star for the person that helped us. Ashley furniture items are very well crafted and priced (some items may be cheaper online), but some sales associates are poorly trained. When we arrived it was clear that they were understaffed. Our associate, Christine R., was clearly stressed and worried that she would not be able to make a sale with us. The whole process with her was rushed and unprofessional as she kept asking us to promise her not to go to anyone else because the last associate stole her customers and her commission. One point she even joked about getting fired and she wouldn't even care. Is this really a sales tactic or just poor management overall? My wife and I came with another couple and took our time to browse the selection they had and when we finally chose a set, we were rushed through to choose the items that came with it. There was a promotional offer of 45% discount and I asked multiple times if the discount applied to our set. C.R. Kept insisting for me to let her finish inputting our information before answering my question. Once we applied for the credit card and signed the paper work, we were handed our invoice with no 45% discount applied. Shocked, I asked if there was a discount applied to the set and she looked at us with a confused saying it was a manager's discount and the 45% didn't apply to this set. I was very frustrated at this point and requested a refund. Instead of refunding us right away, she sat us down and pointed to the price sign and said, "So, you thought you were going to get ALL of this for that price plus an additional 45% off?" Very unprofessional and demeaning and she repeated this 3 times before we asked for the manager. The 4 of us understood that there was a 45% discount applied to purchases and all assumed it'll be put on at the end. If the 4 of us came to that conclusion then obviously the promotions and discount were not relayed correctly. The manager at the time didn't check to see what the issue was and he went straight to the back to issue our refund. Whether that was his way of "great, not another one of C.R.'s customers" or "I don't have time for this". Both were unprofessional and clearly did not care to solve the issue. It doesn't stop there, while getting our refund C.R. Clearly was trying to guilt trip us about our refund by informing us her mother and daughter's house burned down during the fire. Many other stories were told to make us feel worst. Sorry for their lost, but the connection we were getting from C.R. was off from the beginning. We got our refund for the set and decided the purchase the couches only. (I know, we should've went with someone else, but we decided to just get this over with since delivery times are crazy at the moment). Got our refund receipt and receipt for our couches. C.R. Gave us her contact number and asked us to text her only and not call. 3 weeks went by and we saw 2 charges on our accounts. We called customer service and they said they can't do anything on their end to cancel it so the store associate has to take care of it on their end. We texted C.R. Several times with no reply. That's just great ain't it? When our bill comes we will just have to dispute the charges with the bank. Nice couches but poor customer service. If you find a couch or anything you like, see if it's available online. You'll bypass all the misinformation and unprofessionalism from some of the staff here. TLDR; went to buy a chair, employee implied I was too fat for chair by saying, "oh you fit in that?" And then took several days just to cancel the order due to bad service. Went here looking for a chair with my mom the store itself is clean and has a good selection, but the staff makes all the good things about this place worthless. Was here on a saturday, only a few other customers. Christine was too be our checkout person but when right out the gate she was pushy. She followed us as we made our way into the store to give us her sales spiel and then gave us about a 3 minute break before bugging us again. Once again we tell her we are good, know what we are looking for and that we will ask if we have any questions, she got snappy and said i"m just trying to mention our sales". After that we went around the store trying out a good amount of chairs. Finally we find one that we both liked and we go find christine to tell her and heres how that conversation went: I pull up the picture and show her and the first thing she says is, "oh, you fit in that?". We both looked at her and then she asked if we wanted two of the chairs, we said no. Then she asked if we wanted all this other furniture. We told her we only wanted the chair. As we were leaving I saw the same chair on amazon so I called back maybe 10-15 minutes after the visit to cancel the order. Well their phone system kicks people as they're waiting rather than keeping them on hold so after calling back for what was probably the 11th time in a few days i got ahold of someone and had the chair cancelled. We recently purchased a leather sofa set which was very comfortable in the store. First we were not really happy with the fact that our charges went thru within days with a back ordered item that came a month later. Then the item received was damaged and poorly constructed. I tried to decline but was asked to call customer service. Now I'm told I can not return because we accepted it. DURING COVID, DESPITE A "WHITE GLOVE AND COVID SAFE DELIVERY" GUARANTEEING THAT THEY WOULD WEAR PROTECTION. AND THEY MADE ME LIFT THE BED BY MYSELF (I have a back injury, which is why I bought the bed in the first place). These are a few facts I brought up to her. Did she seem to care? No. I was given the run around between 2 different phone numbers who seemed to give absolutely no rats asses about it. Products are good, but some have arrived broken and late. Angelina promised a "VIP Delivery" of the adjustable frame after the delivery men somehow broke it while getting it onto the truck. Said it would be a VIP Delivery, next day. TWO FREAKING WEEKS LATER it shows up. The installers for the new adjustable bedframe accidentally cut a wire that moves the neck portion of the bed. I brought this up to Angelina, I even sent her pictures. She told me that she would have a technician out today, 12/2 to come fix it. I spent an hour on the phone and then finally went onto the website to chat about it, which is the only way I could get in contact with ANYONE. Surprise, surprise, she lied about that too. NO TECH, NO SCHEDULE, AND NO PICTURES IN THE FILE. Clearly, she only cares about getting the money and absolutely NOTHING else. The chat with corporate ended with a technician scheduled for two weeks from now, over a month after I received my bed frame WITH AN OPEN LIVE WIRE UNDER IT. I was given a mattress protector (for $139.00) for my Tempur-Pedic cooling mattress. It's what is known as a "$139.00 make my $3000 cooling mattress NO LONGER DO THE COOL device". It negates the airflow cooling feature of the mattress by being non-permeable. Why on earth would you be sly and sneak a mattress protector (which we never discussed purchasing, it was just automatically added) into a customer's order a product that NEGATES THE POINT of the freaking mattress????? I spent over an hour on 4 separate occasions on the phone waiting to talk to someone about my orders which have gone from "Its coming tomorrow" to "We haven't have it in stock for weeks" within 24 hours. ORIGINAL POST: Ask for Angelina! Everyone here is super nice, but my primary experience was with Angelina and the manager Jesse. Angelina was very relaxed, and refreshingly not pushy. She is as nice as she is knowledgeable (and she's SUPER nice). Sofas? She's your woman. Beds? Angelina. Kitchen tables? You guessed it, my girl Angelina. I've got back problems, and Angelina was able to find me a bed that was not only great for my stomach-sleeping boyfriend, but also helped me find a position for the adjustable bed that would help reduce pressure. If you have back pain, get yourself in here and ask Angelina about her Tempur-pedic. The store was very clean, everyone was following social distancing and wearing a mask. I recommend Ashley Home Store to anyone looking to find nice home furnishings, at a good price, with sales associates, management, and clerks who are professional and friendly. 10/10 will come back again. We bought a table from Ashley Furniture on a Monday. At first, we ordered the doorstep delivery service where they would drop off the furniture and we would assemble it. We changed our minds and paid the difference between that service and the threshold service which includes set up. The set up was scheduled for Tuesday and when the delivery guys came, they just dropped it off and told us that we only paid for the delivery drop off. Well, we had to call the store to have the delivery changed and they couldn't even find our payment for the threshold delivery service. So the threshold delivery service got scheduled for a Friday. The delivery guy shows up and goes, "Oh, you already have a table?" They didn't relay the message that we already had one! And when I called and expressed my concerns to the store manager they offered us a measly $20 compensation. Would not recommend anyone buys from Ashley Furniture. read more

Its not the furniture per say, its the store and in particular the management. But also some of the employees. Some have been good and others bad. We initially made several visits because we were making a large purchase. Everything was OK until we had an issues with our bogus mattress after less than a month. I have even been working with the corporate office to resolve my issue and even they are frustrated with the store and have called and emailed the store to try and help resolve. They are unresponsive and have yet to follow through. Notes are not taken down so when you call or show up they know what we spoke about or agreed upon from the last time, which they do only for the things that convenience them. For instance, call the local store number. Its supposed to call directly to their store first. Corporate has even tried to reach out to them to help resolve our issue. No response and no one picks up. It just goes to the automated phone service and then gets transferred to the corporate office on the east coast. If you do go to the store, just watch and listen to how many times they answer the phone or it rings, (never). We bought an entire bedroom set and couches. But the mattress we bought was a soft and not a medium firmness we wanted. The sales person and manager agreed to correct the mistake and they said they would fix after the inspection at our home of the wrong mattress. The mattress was agreed to be replaced and has an approved case # from Ashley which corporate has been eager to do but the local store manager needs to confirm the correct mattress before they can change to the medium one. 2 store visits, 5 emails, 4 phone calls over the last two weeks. No manager available to talk to, emails directly to the customer service lady's email has yet to be responded to, and we have reached the store by phone once and was told the manager was with a customer and would call us back but of course, never did. Calling corporate management and walking back into the store tomorrow for them to listen in and hopefully resolve our issue with our mattress. Shop at your own risk. After several weeks of no update (even though we were told we would receive a shipping update after 1-2 weeks) I went online and attempted to track it and the tracking confirmed Wednesday, July 27th. THAT NEVER HAPPENED. I called and was told there was none in stock and that they would receive 60 of them August 4th, and "guaranteed I would receive a shipping email August 5th" THAT NEVER HAPPENED. Since my phone call on August 1st after it wasn't delivered July 27th, I checked the tracking every day and each day the "estimated shipping time" extended by 2 more days, so as of today August 6th, it says estimated August 14th. I spoke with a representative this morning that 100% guaranteed me delivery by August 14th, that's very hard to believe since I've already been guaranteed nothing several times, the rep sent me an email "to confirm this" but I still didn't want August 14th to come, just for it not to arrive and they push it out even further. Not so long story short, I found the same one on Amazon prime and I cancelled my order with Ashley. I should have listened to friends and family that told me it took them months to get furniture they ordered. Peace out read more

I'm only giving one star because zero stars wasn't an option. While I was shopping two employees got into an argument. A male employee started swearing at a female employee. Two other employees watched. The male employee continually said the F word to the female employee. I did not hear the whole encounter, but the part I did see was very abusive to the female. I was so uncomfortable that I left. I will NEVER return to this store. read more

He made our day!!!! This store is very well maintained and the staff is not pushy at all. They don't follow you around, but they are very present if you need assistance! I dont think i have ever written a review before but i feel absolutely compelled based on the experience I have had. I really NEVER complain and I understand more than anyone that COVID has put unwarranted stress on companies. However, the DISHONESTY and lack of communication is absolutely UNACCEPTABLE. I ordered over $4000 worth of furniture back in January, with a delivery date of March 15th. March 15th came, i took the day off of work to accept the delivery and have them set it up, no one came or called. I called and called and emailed and emailed, NOTHING. Their customer service hotline has a "call back" option but when you select it, it hangs up on you. My sales rep in the Roseville store gave me his "personal information" to contact "with any questions." I emailed 4 times and NO response. Finally i got a response after the 5th email and he straight up lied saying their "email systems changed" and thats why he didnt get my emails. He then kept making up stories saying that "signs and pricing" have changed so thats another reason why he hasnt answered, that has nothing to do with communicating to your customers. On Saturday, May 21, i FINALLY got a delivery update and they said it would be estimated in the warehouse on SEPTEMBER 3, 9 MONTHS to be out $4000.00 and NO furniture. Im utterly appalled. Obviously they have OVER SOLD their products and are just taking peoples money anyways. It honestly is fraud and i wish i had the money to pursue legal action. I will NEVER EVER purchase from ANY Ashley homestore personally or for my business. Please everyone who is reading this, this is NOT a biased opinion, this is 100% honest, truthful and from a viable individual who made the mistake of being a Ashley homestore customer. read more

Ashley has a really good selection of affordable furniture. We bought a sectional there, and at first the configuration wasn't working for us, not Ashley's fault whatsoever. The store manager and other staff were able to help us and got us set up with our sectional the way we wanted it, and it's really wonderful. Comfy, stylish, good quality, great price! Wow. I have to hand it to Ashley Furniture. It takes real effort to make a situation worse, but they somehow managed to do so. After being contacted by corporate customer service I talked to I don't know how many people, including my salesperson and James at corporate customer service. Apparently my salesperson also talked to her manager at the store. Everyone I've talked to has been very apologetic and assured me that they would make this right and get my order delivered. For the last 2 days I've been told that they want to deliver my order tomorrow. I have told everyone that I talked to that I can only take a delivery tomorrow after 3:00pm due to work commitments and everyone has assured me that they would make note of that and they would get it right. Guess what? To say they failed would be a huge understatement. They make the guys at Enron look like business geniuses. All day today I have received notifications that my order would be delivered tomorrow between 8am and 12pm. I have again, all day, told multiple people that was not going to work. And yet I still got a call at 4:15pm wanting to confirm my delivery for tomorrow morning. Now, I have to take some responsibility here. I'm responsible for trusting these guys again and hoping that they could actually do what they promised. So that's on my. Fool me once, shame on you, fool me twice, shame on me. I have, for real cancelled my entire order and told them that I don't want to talk to anyone anymore. Here's a piece of advice for Ashley. Everyone I've talked to needs to go back to college and take Communications 101 because your people do not know how to communicate properly. Everyone has promised to keep me updated. NOT.
