    My entire couch is trashed.

I cannot believe that when specifically asked if my cat could ruin this sectional, the sales person pokes and dragged dull object over the fabric digging in deep, and said it was made so animals couldn't ruin it. I've had it three months and it's ruined. Completely. Don't trust these people, they will lie to make a sale.

    Area rug

We recently purchased 2 very expensive sofas and a recliner chair from Ashley Home Store. We decide we would like to purchase an area rug to match. We found a washable area rug. When we got it home we realized the poor quality of the rug. It would not lay flat and looked awful. So I attempted to return it! They refuse to refund us but want us to do an even exchange. We found one we like for more and I'm asking for a discount for all the frustration this has been. There's nothing there I want for that amount I spent! We are still dealing with them. It's been a nightmare! Don't purchase from them if at all possible! Ugh!

    Broken night stand
    Rick B.

Worst experience ever. Have left numerous messages for Store Manager to call me and they never call back. He has his under studies call instead. Spent $3k for bedroom night stands and two dressers and paid extra for delivery Delivery company came and knew one of the feet for the Night Stand was broken and never said anything. Decided to just prop it up and thought no one would notice. After they left we went to slide night stand over to its spot and the foot came off and night stand landed on my foot and leg No return calls from manager. Had to wait over a week for a repair guy to come repair my brand new night stand which I never even used before it was broken I wish I had more time to type out my nightmare I thought I picked the right company for furniture.... Furniture is nice, service is a negative 5 Stars

    New couch!
    Michelle M.

My fiancé and I came in looking for a new couch. We had been to a couple of places before deciding to go to Ashley. Our sales guy was amazing. So funny and friendly and very helpful. We ended up falling in love with this couch. We were originally going to get it as part of a set but quickly realized it would not fit in the apartment. We paid for premium delivery as the apartment is on the third floor. We got the couch today. Quick delivery. It came faster than the email said. They were in and out in 5 mins. I would definitely buy furniture from Ashley again! Edit to add: went through yelp reviews and noticed you can get a way better deal online. We literally paid $300 dollars more in store than we could have online! That is sooooooo not okay. It's less online for delivery, and 250 dollars cheaper for the couch!!! 5 star to 3 star. NOT OK!

From the same sectional, 2 identical cushions with separate fill materials.
    Mark H.

Purchased a $2k sectional from this location with warranty. After a year, they wouldn't honor the warranty and the cushions have different fill materials. Poor quality considering thousands spent.

Poor install. Used a drill and stripped out the screw. How hard is it to do it right the 1st time?

It's in a fantastic location in Old Town Auburn -- close to parking and other cute shops and good restaurants. It's within 5 minutes of 80. The owners are very knowledgeable, friendly and customer focused. You always get a greeting, an offer of help and great advice on painting projects or gift items fresh from a buying trip. And it's also a Fusion mineral paint distributor with a great selection in-store, plus the option to purchase online. To help you learn how to get the most from your furniture paint purchase, they offer classes in the back of their beautiful store. I took a Painting 101 class with Mary, the owner, and she was a terrific teacher. Here's what I loved: FAIR PRICING: I had been looking for a class and saw them offered at $65 to $95, so her fee of $75 was very competitive. The difference was that I could use the class to paint my own item, if I liked, rather than just try techniques on wood boards, as some do. All supplies were included in the 3-hour class. APPROACHABLE STYLE: Answered questions patiently and thoroughly, demonstrated techniques and tricks, and offered advice while STILL asking your personal project preferences on color, wax use, distress level, etc. She was generous with her time and expertise -- which just makes me want to give her more business. This is exactly the kind of local, small business that you want to see thrive. It's a go-to stop for me -- whether shopping for a gift or doing a painting project.

It's hands down the best antique store I've visited in both the bay and Sacramento areas. It is packed with unique finds and well laid out with named aisles. Almost the entire back wall is filled with a mid century modern vendor. The selection of color glass, kitschy housewares and unique art blew me away. The prices were really reasonable and some vendors had some sales and markdowns. They make it clear which vendors will accept offers. Staff was available though out the floor to assist. That is smart, as this place is the size of a small grocery store. Visiting Antique Trove is an experience for sure. There are restrooms up front, a good size patio outside with additional items for sale and just a ton of treasures to browse through. I spent about an hour there and could have easily spent more had I not been late for lunch and hangry. That's another thing-don't come hungry thinking it's a quick trip-you'll be there a while! Lots of parking and easily found off the freeway, Antitque Trove is a must stop for anyone interested in vintage shopping.

I told them to cancel the order as I don't plan to do business with them again. It's amazing that a big box store has better service. Since the email address you gave me doesn't work, I'll paste my attempted email here for you and everyone else to read. I went to the store on Melody lane and the person who helped me was very helpful. He said they didn't have the paint I needed but he checked the Harding location and said that they had the paint and he would call the order into them so it would be ready when I went to pick it up. I waited several hours to give them time to mix the paint and when I walked in there was a lady helping a customer, at least two other women in the back area chatting and man standing at a computer. I walked up to the man at the computer and was ignored. I waited several minutes and he finally acknowledged me in a very uncaring way and made no attempt to explain why he ignored me for so long. He looked up the order and said that it wasn't ready. I was so frustrated at being ignored for so long and that the order wasn't ready that I told him to cancel the order. I have bought quite a bit of paint from Home Depot and get far better service there. I went to Sherwin Williams because our contractor used your product on our vacation home so I wanted to get an exact match. I quit using Sherwin Williams in the past due to poor customer service, but I honestly expected that given all the negative feedback you get that you would have resolved this issue. It's hard to imagine how you can be successful with such poor service. Someone in the corporate suite needs to focus on providing better customer service or you will chase away your retail customers that are still willing to do business with you. Scott

We brought the cabinet door of our bathroom vanity to be paint match so we could paint a mirror (which I told them we were painting a mirror while there, so they were aware I was not painting this door.) They asked if we could leave the door and they would call when it was ready, got our name and number that's it. We get the call it's ready and my husband went in to pick it up and comes out looking horrified. Granted he should have said something more while in there but they messily slopped paint swatches all over the top on the door. They never once told us this would happen which I would have said no to regardless. I called back to ask them about this and how unhappy I was and all they could say was this is "standard practice" over and over. And then went on to tell me I would need to use paint thinner to remove the paint or should just repaint the door with the paint I picked up! How is this even remotely professional, let alone ok? I am completely appalled that they had no issue doing this. I will be getting an invoice from our contractor to see how much it will be to fix and send to them, who also can not believe they did this and said he will be referring his clients elsewhere. You have been warned.

I recently purchased a Stihl MS462 from Ace Hardware and was told at the time of purchase that if I…read morebought Stihl oil, my warranty would be extended to two years. That turned out to be completely untrue. When the tensioner was damaged, I brought the saw in for service. When I dropped it off, I was told it would be covered under warranty. However, when I went to pick it up, I was told the exact opposite, that the saw only carries a three‑month warranty because it's considered a professional model. The Stihl tech, Dave, informed me that the employee who originally sold me the saw (and gave me the wrong warranty information) had been fired. When I explained that it was unacceptable to mislead a customer on something as important as a warranty, he showed no concern at all. In fact, he was extremely rude. When I asked, "Can you see why I'd be a little upset?" he replied, "No, I really can't." This wasn't even about the cost, the repair was only about $40. What bothered me was the complete lack of customer service. Dave also told me he wouldn't have covered it anyway, even under warranty, claiming I must have hit a nail or Knott, which makes no sense for a tensioner failure. His explanations didn't line up with how these saws work, and it didn't feel professional. I spent over $2,000 on this saw and expected far better treatment. Instead, I left feeling dismissed and disrespected. Dave should receive customer service training, and the situation should have been escalated instead of turning into an argument. Had I known the true warranty details upfront, I would have purchased a Husqvarna, so they definitely lost my trust. I do want to add that the staff working there are great employee's and have been great to work with with exception to Dave and the Co-Owner. My wife will be leaving her own review regarding her interaction with a co-owner, as I was not part of that call. My advice go to a real small engine repair shop and keep a hardware store to just that, hardware.
