Update- after the sales person Chris Rios told us we would get our furniture in 3-4 weeks if we bought it that day, every time the date of delivery comes up on the calendar, they push it another 3-4 weeks and another 3-4 weeks. After the Corporate customer service said in a text, we would not be charged a cancellation fee, the slimy sales manager was going to charge us $400 for not getting the furniture they had promised to deliver! I will start by saying I have ordered furniture from this exact store about five times so I can speak from a point of view of many experiences. For starters, the furniture is affordable and the quality is great BUT literally one of the worst customer service experiences I have ever had. The very first time I ordered a bedroom set from here (back in 2013), I had an amazing experience from sale to delivery. Most of my purchases after that have been a downhill experience. Recently, I called in to cancel an order that was delayed an additional four weeks beyond what was quoted and they are charging me a fee to cancel. I don't understand how there is a fee associated with canceling an order when the issue (extended delay) was caused on their end. The order was placed over two months ago, and being pushed out another month. I am fully aware that pandemic has caused delays beyond everyone's control but if someone wants to simple cancel because of this delay, make it right and let them cancel without an issue. I literally only gave them one star for the style of furniture. All events that happened after that through Ashley's was thee worst experience I've ever had period. Basically they love you till they get what they want then after that they're done with you! We had two salesmen work with us (Chris & Jose) and they both said we will definitely stay in contact through out the delivery process, which never happened! Mind you we're spending more then $10,000 with this horrible store. Don't even get me started on their delivery system they got going on. After we put in our order not until the week of our delivery they proceed to tell me that they discontinued my stand up mirror (which won't be the only "discontinued" issue with my order). Let me tell you my family ordered a bedroom set, 2 living room sets, 2 rugs, and a set of tables. 3 months later and I still haven't received all of my products. Took them over 8 deliveries to kind of get it right. The topper of this story is this past Thursday they were suppose to deliver the last of my things...a rug & a missing piece to my living room set. First it was suppose to come in on Tuesday but they were "behind" for the thousandth time. Jessica tells me the delivery will be between 3:30-5:30. At 11 am my bf calls to tell me they'll be at my house in 15 min. Oh and that they don't have my rug. I call and Jessica tells me she apologizes and I told her forget it leave the rug at the live oak store and we'll come get it because if we wait on them we'll never get it. She says ok my bf goes yesterday and they try to give us the damn display rug! And then the besttttt part they proceed to tell him they "discontinued" it. Like wtf! My husband and I purchased our first home in September of last year so we wanted to buy brand new furniture, we knew we were going to be spending big bucks but for something that would last and look nice, why not? We walked into this Ashley on October 10th and ordered a decent sized sectional sofa with lots of room and comfort. Jeremy the salesperson told us that due to the situation with COVID and all it would take between 8-12 weeks for our order to arrive. My husband and I agreed it was ok, just in time for Christmas or New Years. Beginning of December there was no word on our order, I called the store and they told me it would not be fully delivered until March of this year!! To make it worse, we were going to receive our sectional in pieces; one to be delivered at the end of December, another in February and final pieces until March. That is a MUCH longer wait than we were told. We decided to not cancel the order because we went back to the store a few weeks ago and asked if they could speed up the process and they said yes but they would get back to us as soon as they knew anything......it's been about three weeks since that and we still have not heard back. Sales staff encourage you to spend more money as you are trying to make a decision with which furniture to get. Payment process was easy and I expected my furniture to be delivered in 2months after I had made the purchase. However, I never received a call from them, like I was told. After being on hold for 30min-1hr for each phone call, I finally spoke with Mario, who said he would refund me the delivery fee since the furniture will be delivered later than expected. When I first bought the furniture, he told me that it's in a nearby ware house. 2 months later, I've been told that the furniture is not in the warehouse yet. I was expecting to receive an email to process the refund, but he never sent me the email. I had to call them again to connect with a delivery representative to get it processed. Mario told me that it would be delivered on the 12th of November or before that, which is not true according to another representative since the furniture is still not into the warehouse. I liked Ashley furniture and I have several of them. I was a loyal customer but I no longer have faith in their business and will never make another purchase from them. Ashley furniture has come in clutch at furnishing our entire house. We are first home buyers and didn't know where to start but two trips to Ashley and we have our whole house furnished. Michael Cardenas helped us both times and made shopping a breeze. He listened to what we were looking for style and budget wise and we have everything we could have dreamed of and more. We will definitely keep coming back! I have to reduce this rating because of the delivery service. We have bought almost an entire house worth of furniture from this location and while the store staff have been great and extra helpful the delivery service on almost everything I have bought has been lacking. I received an email to confirm my delivery two days ahead of the agreed date and I confirmed the order and time. I was out of the country and unreachable the day before my delivery (hence the delivery date) granted I had changed my phone number but would not have been able to receive a call saying my order was delayed. Woke up early for the delivery time this morning despite fighting jet lag and pregnancy tiredness only to have to wait until 10am to call the delivery service to find out my delivery was delayed a week. When I was in the store originally I had the option of having the furniture delivered earlier than the day we agreed upon so I can only imagine the delay had I agreed to that date. I have family in town this week who were going to help me put my Nursery together but now I guess I'll be doing it on my own at 8 months pregnant. My mom was with me and you know how moms are.... he answered every question and was patient with every moment my mom tried to haggle prices like she was at the flea market. He helped us pick the perfect mattress and explained the differences in each one. The manager Dwayne was exceptional, he had the same mannerisms and has a smile the whole time. He helped Scott out as we were one of the last customers before closing time. I called the next day to tell Dwayne that I had an issue with the clock I purchased and he had no hesitation to tell me to bring it back for a full refund. Large inventory, too many sales reps bum-rushing you to purchase. I know what to expect now, but the first time I walked in here I had 3 sales reps come at me within 1-2 mins of each other while I was in the same section (looking at sofas only). Once I left that section, I headed up the steps toward the bedroom sets, and there were at least 6 sales reps congregated there just bullshitting. They made me squeeze my way through them just to get up the steps. After I passed them, I made it about 10ft before another one came after me. I have been to this store about 4 times now and it's been like this every time, in any section. Everywhere you go in this store, the sales reps are breathing down your neck! Wondering why I still go here every so often? The last time I went there was to compare prices from online prices. You can get a MUCH better deal online and beat ANY of their prices no matter what sale is going on. Find what you like, and do your research. I saved $500+ on an Ashley bedroom set by purchasing online through an authorized retailer (thecl*****ome or bedroomfu*******discounts)... and tax free. Both have year-round coupons & holiday deals as well. You can negotiate via chat with the online sales rep to get the best deal. The salesman at this Ashley location was able to match my online price from one of the above websites/retailers after speaking with his "manager," but he could not waive the sales tax nor the $149 delivery fee. He tried to convince me that if there is anything wrong with the furniture (scratches/dings, etc) upon delivery, they will replace for free, and my "online companies" would not do that for me. After presenting this scenario to my online sales rep, she told me that was false, they would replace anything absolutely free of charge if any furniture arrived damaged/scratched/chipped/whatever upon delivery. read more

Initially they sent us a broken recliner then gave us a super hard time about exchanging it. After several phone calls and rude customer service agents, they made us go to their warehouse over 50 miles away and pick up the new piece. Then after 3 months of still waiting on two missing pieces that were promised to us multiple dates (consoles), they won't give us our money back, will only exchange for another (why would I give them more money now...all they had in stock was some way more expensive). We visited the store and made a purchase, as we had done twice in the past when we wanted new furniture for our living room. That part of the experience was great, but quickly declined. We were given a date for picking up our furniture. I called the warehouse after that date, to get things in order for a smooth pick up, as I had taken a day off work to do so. Bob at the New Braunfels warehouse said that they didn't have several of the pieces we ordered, granted I knew before then that one component would be delayed and was okay with that. We visited the store again to sort this out and were told that one component would be delayed for about a month and that another part of the sectional didn't have an ETA, that was simply unknown. My wife and I shopped and made a purchase elsewhere on 12/11 and visited the Ashley store subsequently that day, to void our purchase and get a refund of what we had paid. Recently, I made my third trip to the store regarding the cancellation and refund. Each time prior I was promised a call at the end of the day as that is when the cancellations are processed. Those calls were never received. Today when I asked why the cancellation wasn't done yesterday as promised, I was told that "the salesman took a pretty big hit yesterday and they wanted to wait until today to process it." I completely understand the season we are in and how expensive it can be. Did anyone at the store think about my family for a moment? Does your company have any concern about the $520.00 that hasn't been refunded back into my account and how that affects my kids' Christmas? I asked the CSR why refunds weren't processed prior to the end of the day, and his answer was appalling. I was told that "it's a numbers game." Again, I understand. I also feel like priorities at the store level are poorly misplaced. The manager hitting a daily sales goal should never trump customer satisfaction. Perhaps if a $3700.00 sale has that much of a negative impact on the store's performance, the problems are more deeply rooted than revenue. Integrity is paramount in running a store or business. The lack of integrity displayed to me and my family has resulted in not only the loss of this sale, but your loss of a long time customer. He gave us our time alone to walk around, but was close enough to be able to ask any questions we may have had. When the chest and table that caught my eye were asked about, Lavion and the manager Guadalupe assisted in getting me to walk out with the furniture. Though I walked out empty handed at first, Lavion and Guadalupe reeled me back in and I signed right after walking back in. Buyer Beware. We bought 2 couches less than a year ago. One of them broke within the warranty period. After going back and forth a little over a month somebody came out to look at the couch with the broken frame. Somehow, they determined it was our fault and that we broke the couch on purpose (yes that was actually said) and not a manufacturer defect (which we really don't know if the frame was put together right in the first place). I went to the store back on 12/26/2019 to purchase a new bed. I was told it would be delivered on 1/23/2020. So the day came. Items were dropped off, but missing the post to my bed. So I had to call the store several times before someone could help me. They said they would get the post out to me on Friday 1/24/2020. Then friday comes, they bring the post, but no screws to put the bed together!!! It is now Sunday 1/26/2020 and I still do not have a complete bed. Asking me to accept the order first then they will give me an exchange when the headboard comes in end of July. If it were possible to offer a negative star rating I would. On July 1st my wife and purchased a living room set complete with couch, chaise , love seat , coffee table and two end tables. The buying experience was a nightmare. First the salesman we were working with passed us off onto someone else presumably at the behest of the floor manager. The sales person we got stuck with knew nothing about the furniture set we were interested in. He knew nothing about sales at Ashley's what so ever. He told us after looking up the table set that they quit making the end tables but the owner would have the manufacturer make us a set. ( in hindsight I should've known he was lying at this point) then we are told delivery would be in August. After the August date comes and goes we find out there is no way to get the table set we ordered and that we would have to pick another set. When we arrive we are told our couch set would be delivered in pieces. One delivery in September and another in October. So my wife goes back again to try to find a table set since she wasn't able to find anything on the first trip back. She is told this time the September 9 date would be pushed back to the 12th. At this point I have zero confidence we will receive what we ordered. I believe the people we talk to when we do go are simply blowing smoke about our actual delivery date. Needless to say I will never take my family to purchase anything at Ashley's ever again. I feel ripped off and lied too. Update. We were told sept 12th delivery.
