I know this is a little dated but want to share how horrible the service was at Ashley home store. Purchased over $3000 worth of furniture and when they dropped off my sectional didn't even put together. Tables damaged and because My friend that opened my home to them didn't notice underneath the table when they dropped off and signed the paper they're not going to honor the damage. There's so much more but after three years I finally want to pay it forward with this poor rating. read more

8 June 2018: Horribly dishonest salespeople and company. We purchased a sofa, chair, and two tables from this location for $2500. The sofa wasn't able to be delivered for a month so the manager made us a deal that our chair and tables would be delivered for free within the next week and our sofa would be be delivered for free when it arrived in a month. We weren't happy about having to wait so long but we agreed to this deal (only because of the free delivery and agreement that we would at least have our chair and tables within a week). Delivery day 1 arrived and our chair/tables were not delivered. We called customer service and were told that we were never signed up for delivery only for pick-up and that are chair/tables were available for pick-up that day. We complained as this was NOT what we had agreed to and were told that the chair/tables would be delivered tomorrow. Tomorrow comes, and no furniture. We call customer service again and we are told again we were never signed up for deliver today either. We call the store directly and speak with the same salespeople, who tell us that our items are not even in the local San Antonio area so they cannot be delivered today. How is this possible if they were available for pick-up yesterday? Of course we were very upset, asked to speak to a manager, and were transferred to a voicemail. (Mind you, to call back and speak to customer service takes about 20-30 minutes of waiting on hold). My husband is on the way to the store to speak with them in person at this moment since that seems to be the only option at this point. Basically, they just tell you what you want to hear to get you off the phone but then nothing is done to remedy the problem. Horrible horrible business ethic and dishonest company. NOT worth it- spend your hard-earned money somewhere else. 24 June 2018 Update: We finally received our couch, chair and end table in good condition. Coffee table was damaged so we sent it back. Another delivery came with another coffee table that was damaged worse than the first one. The delivery men tried to leave it anyway and said they would bring a new one later but we are not that stupid.. we had them take it back again. Still waiting for a new-condition table. My husband missed a call from Ashley yesterday while at work and I tried to call them back right away but was unable to reach anyone at the call center (waited on hold for over 30 minutes and even put in my number for a call back and never received one). Of course, they are closed today. Unfortunately, if you happen to miss their call there is no convenient way to get back in-touch with anyone. I have tried to tell them to call my phone number instead of my husband's but they say they cannot because his is the primary on file. A direct phone number to a human being would be greatly appreciated. This whole experience has been just awful. read more

This was my second bad experience at this location. 1st issue was with the rep lying to me about the credit account just so he could get credit for opening the account. (If you're military or moving the credit is regional so you may have to apply at the next location or pay out of pocket) 2nd issue I ordered a recliner here because my parents are local and I wanted to gift it to my dad. It was scheduled for delivery almost 8 weeks after the order date. The day before delivery i was awaken by a rude phone rep saying it will now be delivered Dec 4th. I called just now the girl Christina tried reaching out to the service department but no luck. She said she would call me back Monday so we will see. I would give no stars if I could. We had to cancel our order because the delivery process was so terrible. It took 6 weeks to get a delivery date, then they tried to deliver at 9:00 pm. When we didn't accept because we have small children who were sleeping, within one day they gave our furniture away and told us it would be another 4 weeks to get another set. No thanks. And every person we encounter there's on the way was rude and couldn't care less that their service was terrible. Never shopping Ashley again! read more

I walked into Ashley's ready to buy furniture. I had cash to buy my furniture, but the sales guy insisted I apply for the Ashley's card. I get that's his job, but he honestly pissed me off the way he presented. He implied I had bad credit, because I did not want to apply. That was not the case. I just believe that if I don't have a job then that would affect my great credit score by running my credit. The point is that it's none of his business why I didn't want to apply, but he kept pushing. Another thing that bothered me is that he followed me around the store like a desperate puppy. He was not knowledgable about the products in store or online. He kept contradicting himself, because he just wanted to make a sale. So I felt pressured to make a decision, because that day they had sales that he said would be gone. The next day I went in to exchange the furniture for something else. Again they paged the sales guy (VINCE MARTINEZ) that I did not want to work with. I really didn't need to be walked around the store with some guy pressuring me to buy something. In the end, I ended up returning everything. I can honestly say that I may have kept the second purchase I made if the salesperson was more knowledgable...if he didn't insult me, if he stood down a little, if he didn't talk bad about other furniture stores. read more

This was my email to the company office in WI: "This has to be the WORST furniture experience ever! The 2 original Console w/Storage that where delivered were damaged then the 2 they brought were damaged, badly. Like no one had common sense to check the furniture before it was delivered. Now these delivers (because of the driver's routes I'm told) cannot be made to meet the customer's time window. So I constantly have to take time off work early or mid-day to be home to get the delivery. It's been over a month since I made this purchase of the 7 piece furniture set and it still is not correct! I will never refer anyone to shop at Ashley furniture. To think Ashley's was referred to me by a friend. This has been horrible customer service; very horrible." This furniture chain is horrible and is a waste of a customers time and money. This furniture was purchased before Christmas and it 9 February and I still have the damaged pieces at my home. One manager actually apologized for the bad service, as of this week. DO NOT waste your time or money with Ashley's Furniture company. Manager Jose Guerra won't talk to us about a sale made to our elderly mother in November and not yet delivered. On line people can't do anything because they say the store is a franchise and you must go to store. Jose won't meet with us, and his people are afraid to go to him. I just purchased a home and needed a couch and mattress immediately. I walked in the door ready to buy. I couldn't find any couch that I liked which might be surprising but I can't fault them for that. I then asked to see some mattresses. They took me to the sleep department and introduced me to the hatchet woman. I said that I wanted to see some mattresses and feel for what I like. I was told, "we don't do it that way here. We custom fit the mattress to you". My instincts said RUN!!! I smell a hard sell and I just want to feel what for what I like and buy it. Nope. They have to do a BS horse and pony show. The saleswoman is in a lab coat like she is some kind of doctor. She calls herself a sleep expert. First she puts me in a foam mattress and is hell bent on selling it to me. I told her that I HATE foam mattresses. Too bad for me. She won't relent. I must buy THIS bed in spite of the fact that I HATE it. It's a health issue. Sleep apnea, acid reflux, back pain!!!!! This mattress will save my life!! After telling her how much I hate it repeatedly, I tell her what I have in mind. Instead of just showing me, she again has to go through a whole other horse and pony show why THIS is the mattress that will save my life. Ok, I like the mattress. I knew that the moment I laid in it. I HATE the hard sell and it makes me want to run away. Getting her to quote a price was like pulling teeth. I like it. How much. How much. How much?????? Finally after she finishes her soliloquy, she gives me an "approximate" price. I don't know if it included sales tax or delivery. It didn't matter. It was way more money that I intended to spend and I had an idea of what a quality mattress should cost. I got up and told her it was a hard no. I was disapointed because I loved that mattress but no way was I going to spend that much. It was such a nice mattress that I even considered going back and reconsidering. Had I not had my intelligence insulted with the presentation I might have gone back. I walked out, got in the car, went down the road a few miles to a large national chain mattress store that advertises discounts. I walked in and said that I wanted to feel some mattresses and see what might be on sale. They were only too happy to accommodate. Out of curiosity, I asked if they had the same mattress that the fake doctor had shown me at Ashley. As a matter of fact they have the identical mattress and one in stock! Yes, but I can't afford it....or can it. I bought the mattress for $2000.00 less than the "approximate" price including sales tax and delivery. I have delivery confirmed for tomorrow mornring. They ordered the wrong dining table TWICE!!! It was been a VERY exhausting situation trying to get the correct table or a refund. If the store does answer the phone they put you on hold and never return. So I had to go to the store in person after several unsuccessful attempts to speak with someone. If you buy from Ashley furniture don't expect them to provide you will any customer service from the stores. They won't return your calls and keep you on hold to never return to the phone. We had a fine experience actually picking out the couch, but now 7 weeks later (yes, 7 weeks) I don't even remember what it looks like since we STILL haven't received it. Our delivery date has changed literally SEVEN TIMES now always with a different reason, sometimes I'm told it's on backorder, other times I'm told that it's arrived to the warehouse we just weren't assigned a delivery date (despite countless calls), just to be told again that it's back ordered. I'm starting to suspect that this couch doesn't actually exist... We were not made aware at the time of our purchase that it would take this long to be delivered, and since I'm 8 months pregnant and sitting on a lawn chair in my own home, we absolutely would have bought a couch elsewhere that would have actually delivered it in a reasonable amount of time. Customer service is also a joke. This whole situation is a joke. Don't waste your money, you'll never actually receive the product. Here's to hoping the nightmare that is 2020 will at least end with a couch. read more

Buyer Beware: Ashley's specialty is NOT area room rugs. I purchased a living room area rug and upon delivery noticed 2-3 HUGE "wrinkles". Naturally, I assume they would smooth out but after a couple of months it is still noticeable. I called the store, they gave me an 800 number to text photos. A lot of good that did...no response. I called their Customer Service line which is main headquarters and was told it was up to individual store to handle this...back to square one. Bottom line, I paid food money for a wrinkle. Oh, they didn't disclose that rugs are handled by a third party so they don't handle exchanges but they do mention their own items can be exchanged. After several satisfying purchases before this, I won't be coming back. read more

We recently bought a house in August and went to this store to furnish it the day we closed. After looking we found a couch and bedroom set that we loved. Before we paid...CASH by the way...we were told that our whole order besides the ottoman( to be delivered in December) was to be delivered in mid September. That's a reasonable delivery time for furniture. September comes around and A WEEK OUT we're told the bedroom set will be delivered but the couch wasn't Available yet. We've called and called only to get the run around, one time even being told we had no active order WTH?!? They then said it was to be delivered in December, I've been using the text service they provide once a week to keeps tabs on the expected delivery. ONCE AGAIN A WEEK OUT FROM DELIVERY AND ITS BEEN PUSHED BACK UNTIL FEBRUARY!!!!!! 6-7months waiting for a couch is ridiculous. I called to see about getting our money back and they offered a compensation for the delay.....of 5% of the purchase. We spent nearly 4000$ on the couch alone in cash!!! So for 6months they offered 180$ of compensation. Safe to say we're going to get our money back. DO NOT COME HERE!!! read more

If I could give them 0 stars I would! My bf and I originally had a great experience purchasing the furniture. Connie was great but fast forward to the delivery and this is where the nightmare starts. We heard many horror stories about Ashley's but we felt like we were in the clear. We ordered couches for our living room and a bedroom set. FIVE different deliveries later and we have yet to have everything together and assembled properly!!! Two deliveries I can understand but the third delivery the bed was damaged so they had to return it and the fourth and fifth delivery they didn't have the screws to put the bed together!! We purchased the furniture February 1st today is now February 27th!! We have spoken to many people about all the issues we are having and they all clearly have an "I don't give a fuck" attitude! We even spoke with someone who said "good luck with that" when we voiced our frustration and offered a solution! At this point I wish we never agreed to give these people our money! At first there were no issues with the store, then after I paid for the item with my debit card (I chose to enter my pin). Then 20 minutes later, while the sales person was going over the order, I was asked for my driver's license. I asked why and was told they need a second form of ID. I explained I used my debit card and entered my pin, it was not a credit transaction. The sales person was confused on what to say, so she just said it's corporate policy. I asked a few more questions and then gave her my drivers license. She finished explaining the delivery and we left. This morning a manager from Ashley's calls my wife and gives her a hard time (being rude and ignorant about the situation) because I asked questions about why I have to provide a driver's license when I use my debit card. Then he hung up on my wife. These people are childish and unprofessional. I will be contacting their corporate office and the Better Business Bureau. And lastly EVERYONE I know to let them know how terrible their service is. read more

If there is no other place in the world you can buy furniture I suggest you take the time to figure out how to make it before ordering from here. My mom I went in this store to look for a desk. All the ones I have had through now have been from Office Max. I decided that I want a real wood desk that will last me for the next several decades of my life so I don't have to keep looking every 5-10 years for a new desk. The amount of money that has been spent over the last 20 years could have been spent on a real wood desk. My mom and I asked the guy who greeted us to show us office furniture and he said you guys didn't have much of a selection. He wasn't kidding and from what I saw online, I saw maybe 2 desks. The desk we saw wasn't really for me. It didn't have a lot of space as I like to have my stuff as organized as possible. I like to have magazines, books and other stuff to read while I wind down at night before bed. Other furniture stores had more of a selection of office furniture, except for The Edge maybe 5 miles up the road had nothing. read more

While I have to admit the overall sales experience was a little lackluster (walked past about a dozen sales people and only 2 bothered to ask if we needed help), Oliver was a great salesperson to work with. He found us when we came in and asked if we needed help, and let us take our time looking (instead of following us around pushing to buy something). He was very friendly, professional, and courteous. We went in a week ago previously and got to work with Dan, and he was extremely helpful and a pleasure to work with as well. Weekends are definitely more prone to the "pushy" sales people, but going on a weeknight might get you ignored, especially if you're young and dressed averagely, but not an unpleasant experience overall. Just ask for some of the sales people mentioned in the positive reviews and you should be golden! Also, we were surprised, but for the furniture we looked for, Ashley was the most reasonably priced. The delivery time for our chair was longer out than we thought, but they were able to move it to a weekend easily and it wasn't something we needed right away, either. Bought a table Jan. 3 they didn't have all the chairs so waited patiently until the 28th. When the day came they now didn't have the table and moved the delivery to what was supposed to be today Feb 6 (over a month) I took off work for the delivery just to get a call at 7 am that it won't be delivered until NEXT WEEK! Very happy with our new bedroom set but very UPSET the one of the delivery people (who happen to be hired vendors) STOLE some expensive athletic shorts. We recently purchased a new bedroom set from Ashley Furniture. We found it online but went to the actual store and worked with Larry Hernandez. Larry was more than helpful and gave us a great deal. Within 30 minutes we were in and out. Our bedroom set was delivered this afternoon by two individuals in an Enterprise Rental Truck. They were on time and cordial. I showed them the most direct route to deliver the furniture: through the garage, laundry room and into the master suite. I went out to my living room to keep an eye on my daughter while the men set up and went in and out. A few hours after they left, I went to wash a small load of white clothes that had been on top of my dryer. My $70 pair of Lululemon running shorts were missing. They had been on top of the small pile and I had seen them when I guided the men in to show them where to go. I searched my entire laundry room, behind the machines, in every basket...they are GONE! Apparently, the men who delivered our furniture are not Ashley employees, they are a vendor that Ashley Furniture contracts with. I was told that the men had already checked in and the truck was cleared. Well, of course the truck was clear. The shorts were small and could easily fit in a pocket as they are super light weight. There is no recourse at all as it is their word against mine, but I can say that the delivery men STOLE from my home during their time here. Extremely disappointed. Make sure you know who's coming into your home and keep a close eye on them. read more

I was very unsatisfied with the service and extended delay in refunding my money. I ordered a couch in July that ended up on backorder for over three months, I was charged for the couch the day I ordered. I had to call and inquire about what was taking so long, no one called to let me know. I asked to be refunded 3 times but they wanted me to give them a day to find it somewhere else, then asked me to come in and see if I liked another of which I met all their requests and they could not find another couch like it and I did not like any of the others. Finally I just asked that they just refunded my money. The manager gave me a slip saying they would refund me in10 days...why? they took the money the day I purchased the couch. My wife and I are remodeling our entire main floor of the house. The last thing we need to finish is a round kitchen table. We've purchased from Ashley Furniture multiple times. The lady that greeted us showed us many tables, none of which we were interested in. As we started to leave she started with a high pressure sales pitch of, ( how's your sleep, sleep is important, would you like to try our sleep study system???, sleep is very important!!) No we just want a table, we have a new bed and sleep very nicely thank you. As we were working our way towards the door, she brings us a sleep study pamphlet. ( Sleep is important, here's all the pressure points listed, how about a nice pillow to help you sleep! WTF!!!! We just want to leave! Then a pair of sleep study experts corner us , ( I know you've been working with the First Lady?? We can offer you a better nights sleep with our bed and pillows. HS!! I ordered a 3 piece sectional. All three pieces were to be in on 7/11/17 and I chose 7/15/17 as my delivery date. I get a call from Adrianna at Ashley Corporate Care stating that my pieces will not be in until 7/18. That does not work for me. I am having my old furniture to be picked up on 7/16, because I thought my new furniture would arrive as promised. Silly me, expecting them to come through. I spoke to a Dina in corporate care and she said that she could have them delivered on 7/18, and charted in my account as such. I spoke to Noel at the Live Oak store and was told I could have 2 pieces delivered on 7/15 and the final piece be delivered on 7/19. That did not happen. I have spoke to several people since and am currently scheduled for delivery on 7/19. But the kicker is that they can not guarantee me a morning delivery time as that will be the only time I have availability, even though it was Ashley who faulted on the first delivery date. To be continued.... just received an email from Ashley saying they don't have my records. Gave them my information, let's see if they keep saying they have no records like other negative reviews read more

The selections were limited and the costs in my opinion were overpriced. We felt like we were being stalked the entire visit. The salesman stayed on butts the entire time, so it didn't leave for a pleasant shopping experience. I understand they work on a commission, but they need to give customers space to breathe in a store when looking. Needless to say, I don't see shopping there again. read more
