DO NOT ORDER FURNITURE FROM ASHLEY FURNITURE! Believe the reviews - I wish I had read them beforehand! Ordered furniture Jan 3, 2021. Was told it would take about 6-8 week for delivery. I called end of Feb for an update and they said it would be end of March. Got a call that all but one piece is available for delivery. The last piece would be available end of April - (We are now 4 months out). They offered a partial delivery, so I agreed. Got a call a few weeks later that the last piece of furniture has been delayed to mid May now, but I could still get my partial delivery. I said I would need to think about it and call back. The next day I get a call that the last piece of furniture has now been delayed to mid June!!!!! 6 months from the order date. Customer service tells me that I can call the store and "hopefully somebody will answer the phone" or I can go in person. I JUST WANT MY FURNITURE!! read more

Stopped off at Ashley Home Store in San Marcos yesterday. Within 2 minutes of walking in the door, Christian Alcala welcomed us and directed us to several dining room tables that fit our specifications. Within 10 minutes, we found the perfect one (unique and sturdy enough for a houseful of boys) at a Manager's Special price that was really reasonable. Within 30 minutes, we applied for interest free credit, were approved, made arrangements for delivery in 2 days, and left to celebrate at lunch. Purchased a sofa from Ashley and was sold a warranty coverage that was suppose to cover any failures for 5 years. It has been a little over a year and I now have a lumpy falling apart sofa and both Ashley and the warranty company have stated they can not assist with this. I spoke with JR a supervisor at Ashley Corporate customer service and he basically stated they do not stand behind the product they sell and he would not be able to assist in any way. when I was sold this warranty I stated to the salesman that I was hesitant as I had purchased other warranties on furniture and it was hard to work with, the salesman stated that this was not the case with this company and I would have no problem for 5 years and her I am with no solution and a couch that I cannot sit on . I have spoken to Soledad in customer service at the San Marcos California store customer service and she states she will set up a service call to have the unit repaired /replaced now we will wait to see if the store will stand behind their products unlike the Corporate Office. read more

We have given this store a couple chances now, and each time there we have encountered issues, and lots of time wasted. This time We bought a rug, was told that they would ship it because it wasent in stock. A month passes, get a phone call that it's discountinued, but it's in store. Why would you offer shipping in the first place? The store isn't close by so it's not convenient for us at this point... that was our last straw.... we need lots of furniture but will not be coming back Also, we got a nice table and chairs... they told us we could come anytime to pickup... we get there with a rented vehicle and they proceed to tell us that we can only come during certain times??!? Our sales guy never told us that... luckily we convinced them to let us still take the furniture. Last time we went to their Christmas special that was "50% off".... don't believe their sales... they are still more expensive than online and take twice as long to get it delivered, and double the delivery fee... read more

Staff was very helpful and sensitive to our needs & tastes. Prices were pricey but competitive because of the quality my family desired. Next-day delivery was possible with a $10 fee. My family's favorite part of visiting Ashley Furniture San Marcos was testing out several mattresses until we found the perfect one! read more

My family and I bought our first living room set from this Ashley branch back in January, the customer service was excellent. The sales associate we dealt with was very welcoming, he took us around showing numerous options for our situation; as a matter of fact, we didn't even go there to purchase anything that specific day, we were just scoping out our options. Anyway, we did choose to buy that day, it didn't take much convincing, the fact that we could put it on credit definitely swayed us to buy, they had a phenomenal sale going on that month, and we couldn't resist especially knowing we were in desperate need for living room furniture. We were qualified through GE to put it on credit for 0 interest down for a year. I went to the San Marco's, CA location and applied for a cc via the kiosk. When I went home around 5:30 an employee from this location texted me. He went into my electronic credit application and took and used my personal information for his own use, which was creepy and unprofessional and the store hasn't done anything about, nor will they allow me to speak with a member of management. read more

We went in to look at furniture knowing we wouldn't be buying since we are moving to Colorado in a few weeks. We ended up working with David Solis and he stuck with us the entire time even though he knew we wouldn't be purchasing there. The customer service he provided was top of the line! WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER!!!!! The furniture sucks too. Every person we worked with there (and we worked with many) was shady except Cory & George. We got one lie after another, over charged, took over 2 months to get our money back on items we changed our mind about, they shipped our bed to the wrong store, they came an hour early with our delivery when we weren't home and left then said they couldn't come back for a week and wanted to charge us AGAIN for delivery. We are still having to call EVERY day because they never call back (FRANK) AND we have had our couch/chair for a month and its already looking shabby! So much for "You pay more because it's Ashley quality!" NEVER AGAIN!!! read more

If you haven't been there in the last week, you haven't been there. The new location is much brighter looking (as opposed to the cave they were in on Descanso). Also - this place is BEAUTIFULLY staged - seriously, if I had my toothbrush, I would have moved in. Everywhere you look, there's something pretty to look at. Give it a try first if you're looking for furniture. Also, our salesperson, Candace, was super helpful. We couldn't find exactly what we were looking for (a very niche item) - but she gave us a lot of ideas of where we might find it. The store manager made sure to introduce himself to us, but there was no high pressure sales AT ALL. Ashley, as a corporation, should really rebrand itself because its old logo and image is SO chunky looking and dated, but their merchandise and the look of their new stores is so light, contemporary, airy, and interesting. read more

4/18/15 The people working the floor are very nice and friendly, some can be a little pushy but I get it. That's their job to up sale you. The last two times I went in they told me my Husband did not need to come in to sign anything . Well when it was time to check out it was a whole different story. The sales people and costumer services are not on the same page.. As a costumer who has already been there for a couple hours shopping/signing papers that was super frustrating..if I was just rating the people working the floor I would give them a 4. The ladies at the customer services desk were not very friendly to the salespeople. They made it seem like they were a burden for asking them to do their job?? I left very uncomfortable.. They just don't seem to enjoy their job and do not go out of their way to satisfy the customer.. When my furniture was delivered I was pretty disappointed. Our lamp shades were crooked and they delivered the wrong rag. I will take the blame that I should have checked it before they left. When I called to tell them about the rug the lady was nice about it however I still have not received the right rug and I called almost two weeks ago.. After we pay off our furniture I most likely will not go back to Ashley's. UPDATE... 4/28 Well it still hasn't been sent out! HOWEVER.. I did speak to someone who actually truly seemed to be concerned about the issue. And worked towards fixing it.. She apologized for the inconvenience (Which was the first someone from that store had done so) after serval calls and headaches I got off the phone a happy costumer today. I wish I would have spoke to her from the beginning . I believe her name was Monica. They definitely need to have more customer service reps like her. read more

My husband and I were shopping for a sectional couch. We stopped by the 3 big stores in Furniture Row in San Marcos, CA. We had never been inside of the Ashley Home Store. As soon as you enter the store, you will find a salesman at a podium like a vulture perched on a fence post. After telling him what we were shopping for, he escorted us around the showroom, trying his best to pressure us into "locking in the price", saying we could change our mind later if we wanted. Even when he had to step away "to do some work" (no more than 5 minutes), he asked that we tell any other salesman that approached he was helping us. After several comments about making the purchase today, we slipped out of the store while he wasn't looking. I felt like I had been at a sleezy used car lot. I give it 2 stars, because the furniture did seem nice, unfortunately I will never know since I refuse to do business with companies that support this type of high pressure sales. read more

The sales manager was extremely arrogant. He told us that he would match a price offered from another Ashley Furniture location. He promised us on the phone that he would honor that price. We drove over 100 miles to go to this Ashley Furniture location because it was in the area that we needed the furniture delivered to. Once we got there, the sales manager treated us as if we were lying and made up the whole conversation even though we had spoke to him on the phone. His price was over $500 more for the SAME EXACT BEDROOM SET! He was such a jerk! We returned to the original Ashley Furniture who gave us the price and not only did they keep their word, they made the price a little less to make our "Ashley experience" a positive one. We are pleased with the Colton location, but would NEVER go to the San Marcos location ever again. She was just the greatest sales experience my girlfriend and I have had while shopping for a big item. She took her time to show us exactly what we were looking for. This store was a random stop on the way to somewhere else. We noticed their "sale" signs due to the location change sale and we decided to check it out since it wasnt een on our agenda. The store is clean and set up nicely with a lot of furniture to look at and try out. We noticed a few beds we liked and spoke with a salesperson who was very friendly and insightful. We finally narrowed it down to a few options, then let her know we were going to check another store we ad planned on looking first. We got to this other store and walked the entire store without being noticed/offered help once and their selection sucked! Needless to say we came back to Ashley, found our same salesperson, got help on deciding which bed to purchase and got quite a good education on the pros/cons of financing vs. buying up front, both have their benefits. We received our bed promptly on a day we decided on, had good communication throughout, and are very happy with our purchase. read more

Do not waste your time with this store. We bought a bed frame that took three weeks to deliver and when it finally arrived it was defective. The delivery person said that someone would call in a half hour or less. When they did call they said we'd have to wait another two days to hear from someone to determine what to do. Their cavalier attitude towards the whole mess was extremely upsetting. If someone asks us if we'd recommend Ashley furniture we would say ABSOLUTELY NOT!! Go to Jerome's.
