DO NOT make any purchases here. Faye was kind, but the rest of the experience has been a complete nightmare. I purchased a sofa, coffee table, end tables, rug, and swivel chair for my business. I canceled the rug the next day, but they did not process the refund until I called not only once, but twice to follow up. When the sofa and tables were delivered, one of the legs of the coffee table was skewed to one side despite attempting to readjust. Poor manufacturing and quality assurance. Then the real nightmare began. Swivel chair was on back order and was scheduled to be delivered 2 weeks after the purchase. When it wasn't delivered, I called and they informed that it will be delivered 3 days after. When it still wasn't delivered, I called again and they informed that it wasn't even scheduled for delivery to begin with. Ugh! I had to wait another week for delivery. For all the inconveniences and time wasted on having to make multiple calls, I asked for delivery fee to be credited and they informed that half of the fee ($65) will be credited. I still did not receive the credit after a week so I called again and they indicated that they will ask the billing department to follow up. I did not hear back after another week so I called, yet, again and they indicated that the purchase order has been closed so they can't process the credit. I almost lost it at that point. They assured that $130 Ashley gift card will be mailed to my home. It's been 2 weeks and still nothing. This has been the most frustrating experience in my life and I felt compelled to share so I can help save you the headache. read more

My girlfriend and I moved in together and we needed a couch, so we went couch shopping. I had never been to Ashley Furniture before so I had no expectations. Went in a shopped around and found a couch we liked that was on sale. Salesperson was helpful and friendly. Paid for the couch and arranged delivery. The next day the couch was delivered and put in my house. Everything was great. A few months later, one of the cushions started to fray. Now, I know the couch was on sale and it wasnt that expensive to begin with, however, this was the first time I had purchased non-Ikea furniture so I expected it would last a little longer than 4-5 months before it started to fall apart. I called the store I purchased it from and they told me I had to contact Ashley Furniture directly. So I did. Never heard a response. I saw they had a text help line, so I texted it. I received an auto-response that they had received my message and that somebody would contact me back within 24 hours. Never happened. I texted again. Received the same auto-response back. Never received a response. Texted again. Same thing. Texted again. Same thing. Emailed. No response. Basically, after about 6 months of trying to get in contact with somebody that this godawful company, I finally was able to get an actual live human on the phone! Explained my issue, and explained I HAD BEEN TRYING TO GET IN CONTACT WITH THEM FOR OVER 6 MONTHS. Their response? We're sorry. They also said that particular couch had been discontinued and so there was nothing they could do. By this time all the cushions had begun to fray badly and the couch looked awful. The "customer service" person recommended I take the cushions to an upholstery shop and have new ones made. LOL. Do not go to Ashley Furniture. My husband and I went shopping here for a new bed, as well as to research a rocking chair for our nursery, and had one of the worst shopping experiences I have ever had. We were helped by Mr. Noel Wu, who was a very nice person but struggled to complete the transaction because he was very forgetful. Throughout our time shopping, we mentioned several times that we had an existing Ashley credit line through Synchrony that we wanted to use. Mr. Wu looked up my husband's information multiple times, which we understood also included the credit line. After deciding on moving forward with a bed, Mr. Wu collected my husband's information and ran his credit without us knowing, which resulted in a hard credit pull and a new credit line with Concora that we did not want or authorize. Both the manager and Mr. Wu insisted that it was only a soft credit pull, which was a lie as confirmed by the hard pull on my credit report the following day. When we asked why this happened, Mr. Wu stated that the "system" choses the creditor for the account. How does the "system" make a choice that overrides the customer's?The floor manager even pretended we had never said anything about our existing account, which was also a lie. We were assured several times that the account would be reversed and closed, but that was not only never done, but my husband was told the next day "what is done is done" when he followed up as to why he was getting more emails from Concora about this new account. Furthermore, the process of making the purchase was excruciating. We were in the store for hours as they tried to process the transactions and correct the constant mistakes that were being made. They tried to give us a lesser promotion (12 months no interest instead of 60 months) which we only caught because we asked due to the credit account issue that had already occurred. Then they had to split the order into two parts to correct this. They then put an address on the order that we had 4 years ago (not even in the same county as we are in now) without confirming with us or asking first, which created a further ordeal trying to get the address corrected. My husband had to speak to his credit card company several times because the transactions they kept running looked suspicious. Since the account and order was under my husband's name only, I finally left the store to shop elsewhere in the mall because it was getting too frustrating for me. In total it took us around 4 hours from the time we walked in to the time we left, which is ridiculous. In addition, my husband had to return the following day on his lunch break to sign paperwork for one of the order portions because they "forgot" to have him sign it. I can be very forgiving about many things, (like the high pressure upselling, which I hate and usually leave due to, and also happened from the floor manager) but the combination of fraud and lying around the unauthorized credit application really put this one over the top for me. At first we thought this was just incompetence, but the fact that they are still refusing to make it right by working with Concora to close the unauthorized account and reverse the impact on my husband's credit report speaks to intentional deception, which may be due to the likely staff and manger incentives for opening new credit accounts. Given our experience with this location, I would stay far away from it! I wish we had left without buying anything and just made the purchases online after we got home. It would have saved us literal hours dealing with incompetent and deceptive representatives and avoided a fraudulently opened credit line. read more

My husband and I have been shopping around to furnish our entire new house. We were warned against shopping at Ashley Furniture because the quality is lacking. We went against this advice, but once inside came to the same conclusion. The dining tables and chairs all felt unsturdy and rickety, and when you take a close look at their furniture everything is mass-produced with the lowest possible quality. They use particle boards on their chairs and sofas and cheap muslin to cover the backs of cushions, sofas, and chairs to save on the cost of fabric. The quality of independent stores is just SO much better and costs the same (or less!). Everything is overpriced and their delivery fees are outrageous ($250+). We saw the exact same dining room table listed for $1000 more at Ashley Furniture than at American Furniture Galleries, and delivery would be 3x the cost. The customer service was fine in the store. The vultures circled but respected when you asked for space. They weren't overly aggressive or rude so that was at least a relief. I recommend you avoid the big-box stores like Ashley and shop local instead. That's what we ended up deciding to do and are very happy with our decision. read more

Ratings 1 Bad - 5 Excellent Ordering 1-5 (3): Purchased a sectional set at Ashleys Furniture in Main place mall on 9/7/2020. Throughout the ordering process, my salesperson was overly zealous and attentive. I get it, they work on commission no big deal. We noticed that the marked down prices were still higher than the prices on their website. When asked why no response was given. My guess is that it allows them to discount products further in hope of providing an illusion of a good deal. After a bit of negotiating, we found common ground on the price for the set we liked. Prior to finalizing the purchase, we were told that a few items will be back-ordered till approx. Oct/18. We understood that as covid has made it harder for manufacturers to build inventory. Delivery 1-5 (2): After calling Customer Service multiple times, we found out the first 2 pieces are set to be delivered sometime in mid-October. We are going to receive a text to confirm the delivery date and time. There was no scheduling or notification prior to delivery. We legitimately got a call the same day stating that they will be delivered in 15 minutes and if you are not there they will have to reschedule. While at a family function, we had to rush home to ensure we receive the delivery. The delivery guys were professionals and did a good job delivering 2 parts of the 4-piece set. Quality 1-5 (2): A week into having the chair, the right side of the right chair broke. There is a sharp metal piece protruding from the chaise side when reclined. This piece has already injured several kids and adults Repair 1-5 (0) (Technician Martin): The technician was scheduled to come Monday but never disclosed the time. Was supposed to receive a text message or call to confirm a time never got that either. When he did arrive without notice, We explained to him the multiple issues regarding the chairs as stated above. Regarding the sharp metal protruding out, his response is that "it's built that way and don't have your kids touch it." To clarify, what he is saying is that it's built so that when you recline the chaise a sharp metal object protrudes and potentially injuries users. I explained to him that the logic makes no sense and I have tested it at stores and there are no metal objects protruding. He comes back with the notion that his 20 years of work experience justifies that it was created that way. The interaction is simply the worst experience I have ever had with any technician or customer service. Regarding the broken wood, he acknowledged the issue and repaired it. Before leaving he says "keep your kids away from the chair when it is reclined." I was honestly his parting knowledge he provided. Anyone should be able to sit in a reclined chair without having a metal object drawing blood. With that, I asked him to leave. Last 2-piece Delivery 1-5 (0): Called Ashley customer service to see the status of the last 2 pieces of the set. Was informed that it was pushed back to 1/2021. Once again, no notification by email, phone, or Ashley account of it being pushed back. Asked the rep what caused it to be pushed back, She stated that it was rescheduled for delivery and there is no other information regarding why. Overall Experience 1-5 (1): As a first-time homeowner purchasing furniture is supposed to be one of the most exciting aspects. Working with Ashley Furniture has been a nightmare experience. The lack of Customer Service, etiquette, and communication are the things that will drive customers away myself included. My interaction with their employees shows that they have no passion for their craft. When you have people who don't care, they won't care about their customers either. This was the second furniture store that we checked out. Due to the current restrictions, they do not allow walk-ins. Every customer needs to schedule an appointment prior to coming in. We were able to get a next day appointment on a Saturday. When we arrived, they took all the health precautions such as temperature check and enforcing face coverings. We were greeted by a sales associate then referred to someone on the sales floor. He came by for a minute then sent us to one of his co-workers. I didn't like the hand off. The second sales rep asked us what we were looking to purchase then provided a price quote. The sales tactic is a bit shady. They mark up their prices by a few hundred dollars then offer you a "discount". In reality that is the actual market price. The sales rep gave us some numbers which were much higher than expected. He then proceeds to bring his manager to do an "override" on the so called discount. In the end, we walked away because we could get a better deal elsewhere. The prices are too high for mediocre . We recently walked in to Ashley Furniture to look for accent chairs, but knew that we would be bombarded by a salesperson. We spent a few minutes walking around and Manny came over to introduce himself. We let him know that we were just looking, so he let us know that he would be available to us if we had questions, but if anybody else came up to us to let them know that Manny was already helping us. Super friendly and we certainly appreciated that he did not hover over us. After we found some accent chairs that we liked, we found Manny and asked him some questions to which he patiently answered with a great personality throughout our conversation. Once we decided to purchase, Manny was very helpful to walk us through the check out process as well as explaining the warranty and protection plan. We agreed on a delivery date and completed our visit. Our accent chairs were delivered today well within our delivery window. Be careful with their delivery ppl they dropped pieces from bed frame you could hear the bang all the way down stairs to see that they damaged my son's bedroom floor we submitted a claim and they denied it they didn't want to take responsibility of their irresponsible delivery team. Horrible experience! I THOUGHT IT WAS MY BAD LUCK but i see other people have delivery difficulties..... I purchased 3 items. 2 were hand delivered to my address. The 3rd item was delivered by Fedex and SomeHOW it was delivered to an old address I used to live at(an ex's house) Fedex claims their job was done and it was delivered. Funny thing, is both Ashley's and Fedex are dumb... I look up the tracking # and it's very CLEAR!! It was delivered to a completely different city. It says in the history of deliver, ADDRESS LABEL CHANGED, right before it was delivered. I never called in to change an address. I have called Ashley's 4 times about this, nothing has been done. I have called Fedex about this 4 times and nothing has been done. This has been a nightmare and I get so heated every time I think about it because no one can take responsibility and pick up the damn rug and take it back to their warehouse or finally deliver it to the correct address. DONT COME HERE! LOOK ELSE WHERE! SAVE YOURSELF A DRIVE. Last month, I came in 10 minutes before closing, I saw a bed frame I wanted to purchase and was ready to pick it up tomorrow. Trust me I'm a quick buyer. Willing to leave right at 9 pm. This place refused to sell me a bed frame because I wouldn't purchase their $4k mattress. They told me it's possible for me to buy the bed frame only but they need to meet their sale quota. They literally kept me in there for 2 hours trying to convince me why I need this $4000 mattress. I stayed that long only because, yes, I wanted that bed frame that bad. To be exact- I continuously told them, I'm ready to buy the bed frame only whenever you are- I DON'T WANT TO BUY THE MATTRESS. Telling me I won't have a good night sleep, I'll regret this when I'm older, didn't believe I have to pay my tuition and asked to see if it's true (check your security cameras, it'll show)- this is not professional. At the end, they refuse to sell it to me because it'll hurt their sale quota. I called HR, their employees continued to question why can't they sell that $4000 mattress to me, even got HR pissed off as how aggressive their trying to make sales. Their employees straight up said all the other mattress under $1000 (sold in stores) are not good. So I guess be cautious if you're buying a mattress here. My bf refuse to let me use his truck (understandable) because trust me, they were rude and trying to up-sell him. I came to the store in June and bought a sofa, a bed frame, and a mattress. The day I got my mattress I waited until that night to finally make it and lay on it and realized that not only did it seem small for a queen (didn't fit my sheets or bed frame), but it dipped at the top. Called in the next morning to see if I can exchange it for a name brand (I got the Ashley brand) even if it was more expensive. They said sure! We'll put in a request and get back to you. Fast forward 5 days, no call. I called again and talked to rep and they said "Oh! Looks like it was approved but they're waiting on a delivery date to send over your replacement mattress" which I didn't ask for. I needed to buy something new to replace the crap I got but I said fine, deliver a replacement on July 17th, their soonest appt. At this point it's 6 days after I received my furniture. Th 16th came around and I never received a call or email confirming my delivery so I went into this store and asked what the hell was going on and they said my initial replacement request was never approved!! So they sent a tech out to "verify" the mattress was defective, that was July 28th. At this point it's been over a month since I've gotten this furniture and now the frame sounds like it's cracking every time I get on it. In the end I couldn't even replace the mattress because they have a "no returns" policy. Which I wasn't aware of. I was told it was 7 days at some point and 30 days at another. I think this company is scamming people out of money and I'm bringing it up to the BBB. They basically ran me in circles for over a month knowing damn well they weren't going to do anything. read more

If you care about shopping at places that care about customer satisfaction, this is not the place for you. Even if you are satisfied with your furniture, this place is indifferent to other customers who are not satisfied. I bought an adjustable bed that I love, and I also bought a bedroom furniture set that looked amazing in the show room. When I received the bed set, I didn't like it at all. It looked hideous outside the showroom. It's gaudy silver and in the showroom it looked more like a silver/gold. So 5 days later I return to the store to ask if I can exchange it for another set. They told me that I only had 3 days to return it (must be in tiny writing in the contract I agreed to). Online it's 30 days to return the furniture so I had no idea that it was only 3 days when you buy from in the store. I found this out the hard way. Anyway, they told me that they would put in for an exchange and see if the manager would approve it, which made me super happy they were going to call me Friday to tell me if it was approved or not. They didn't call on the day they said they would, so I called them Monday and I called them again Tuesday and then Thursday and FINALLY I was able to get the status of my return request...declined. They did offer me an exchange for the exact same set in the exact same gaudy color, they called this an "even exchange". Obviously exchanging the furniture for the exact same furniture made zero sense so I'm thinking, why would they exchange the same furniture, but not for another set of furniture that wasn't so ugly? Anyway, I am taking the loss and buying a new set somewhere else. I really wish the 72 hour return policy had been disclosed (other than in small print) because that is a pretty small window of time. I would have definitely made sure to put in for the return before the 3rd day, instead of the 5th day. So 2 days and poor communication made the difference between having a very satisfied customer rather than highly disappointed customer. This disappointment is reflected in my one star rating. I feel really sad because I detest my furniture color and instead of being offered a remedy, I was given the "well because of our policy, there's nothing we can do to help you". Not nice, Ashley Furniture. 1) be more clear in communicating a ridiculously short return policy so customers are well aware of what is expected of them if they don't like their purchase. Wow .. I don't even know what to say. I'm not a guy that writes a ton of reviews (good or bad), but I absolutely had to call out my sales associate Andrew Sais. I was very upfront that I was purchasing a new home and needed to fill some rooms with furniture but had not closed yet so I couldn't really spend anything. He did not try and sell me a single thing and it was VERY clear his only goal was to help me find things that I liked. He answered every question, gave me reasons why some people like X over Y and hit the sweet spot of letting me know the promotions without pressuring me to buy. I left for a couple of days and we stayed in contact over text until I could come in and purchase what we had worked out. If you're looking to purchase ANY furniture, I highly recommend Ashley and even more so Andrew. 10/10 would do again. read more

Greatest scammers in the modern corporate era!! Horrible Customer service. Ordered a Kimonte Dining Table. They did not have in stock in store, but showed me the color the table would be using another set. Ordered the table I wanted and didn't open the box immediately when it arrived because it required assembly. Opened the box over the weekend to put it together and the color was not Dark Brown as I had purchased, but black. After 12 phone calls and 3 e-mails I was informed that because I did not report the problem within 72 hours I could not return the product, even though what was deliver was wrong and damaged. 72 hours!!! Really?! Every other corporate store gives you AT LEAST 30 days. Avoid these crooks at all costs!! For the money they are charging, you can do much better elsewhere, especially in terms of Customer Service. read more

HORRIBLE Service. Spend you money elsewhere. The salesman at the Santa Ana location was descent. It's the aftermath. I purchased a dinning table and chairs (uploaded pic) Once delivered, I noticed something was wrong with the chairs (uploaded pics) I had a hard time getting a hold of customer service. Once I did, the female representative asked to send her pictures. Then all nonchalant asked what I wanted to do. I was like are you kidding me? Pick it all up. She could care less. We were looking for a small couch for my backyard she shed and we found it at Ashley!! Their staff was friendly and knowledgeable and directed me exactly to the size and style I was looking for. Their prices are slightly on the higher end for what I would consider a normal product but our sales rep gave us a discount and I believe they have financing for those who need it. Most of the items are a little monochromatic for me to design my entire house but they do have a few good starter pieces. I would recommend spending the extra for the warranty. So my parents went to soo many different furniture stores and tbh, Ashley's is the go to store! You can trust them, they're super fast and stand behind what they sell you! They purchased a sectional over at another location and it was too small. I came with them and we came across Ali, such a friendly and helpful man. We explained to him our situation and he decided to go and get a tape measurement to assist. He had us go to the sectional area and try all of their pieces to see what caught our eyes and bottoms !! That's when we came across our prized sectional... we measured and calculated our possibilities. Ali then said, here's a paper draw it and write the measurements we just measured. Take it home and measure what you have and let me know! It was like , no pressure and I loved that! We were so comfortable with his idea! That's what we ended up doing.. came back after an hour and a half. Huge smiles on our faces and ecstatic that he was so right for sending us with the drawn out paper measurements! Ali and Jose ( the floor manager) have been so amazing to us and helping us and making sure we have the perfect furniture piece!
