A year ago I bought the next generation performance pit group and was happy at first. We had trial and errors getting the ottoman without problems after 3 tries. A few months ago feathers started coming from the furniture. I called the store and they said it was on the e tag. No where in any paperwork was it mentioned that there are feathers in there. I can say I had to wash one cover and it came out fine. I'm assuming when the feathers stop coming they cushions will be flat. I call the store also because the ends of the ottoman and some seatings look like a worn sweater. Was told to get a sweater shaver to clean it up. I've been an Ashley person for many years but with this set I will be looking around at other stores. I did buy a bedroom set 2 years ago and had to have a tech come out in the first week to align the foundation. Please check everything when you get your delivery. Don't sign unless you're satisfied with everything. That's the first thing they will tell you that you signed that it was ok. Feathers everyday!! Never again will I purchase furniture from this store. My $625 white microfiber chair was bought to me so scuffed and marked up, we ended up not using it. They didn't even bother to wrap or safe keep our chair at all. Their reason being bc we purchased it off the show room. I called twice to complain to no avail. Went into the store for them to only offer up home depot cleaning supplies as a solution. Botched delivery+Terrible customer service Like many reviews on here, we ordered our furniture easily 12 weeks ago, back in late February or early March. Fast forward to end of April, we get a call, YAY! Delivery is scheduled for May 5th, and I'm given a window of time. Cool beans this works. Delivery guys show up, I tell them where to place the furniture, they begin bringing in my bedroom set piece by piece and begin assembling. 1st red flag: I'm standing in the room below them, so I can hear everything, boxes dropping, something hitting the wall and naturally I come upstairs to "inspect" and see what's going on. From what I could see, everything looked OK. So I go back downstairs. 2nd red flag: While the assembly went seemingly fast, completed a little over an hour, it was time to "inspect" the final product and sign off on the job. I walk around the king storage bed, five drawer chest, two night stands and the longer dresser. I look for any cracks, dents, pull the drawers out and everything. I noticed that one of the support structures (mini legs) under where the bed would be placed was leaning in the wrong direction, I let the delivery guy know, he shifts it and proceeds to explain to me that we had a sturdy bed. I proceed to sign off on the delivery manifest and tip the delivery folks. 3rd red flag: My husband comes home, he's excited to see the new furniture and he now becomes the second set of eyes. So he's inspecting everything, similar to what I did an hour earlier, walking around, pulling at drawers, inspecting the services, etc. We pull the top two drawers on the headboard bookcase and what happened, the top drawer handle slides downward, indicating that there was no screw installed on that side, but screwed tight enough on the one side to "appear" that all was well. So we now proceed to pulling out ALL of the drawers within the bedroom set. We then discover there was yet another drawer, this time at the base of the king storage bed, tightly screwed on one side and missing screw on the other. To add insult to injury we look on the wall, behind where the nightstand is and there is dent and scratch, down to the sheet rock on the wall that wasn't there prior. At this point I locate my receipt and the manifest of the delivery and contact the Waldorf store. It is now a little after 5pm. I call and a female associate answers, I explain we just received our items today, it was assembled but two drawer handles were broken, she noted that, gave me my invoice number and proceeded to tell me to send her pictures, with a brief statement and the invoice number to her email(%$@!@ashleyhs.com). Prior to receiving the information she would relay the information to the service department. I say "ok thank you," we hang up and within 5 minutes I sent the email with pictures, invoice and brief statement. The second day after my initial call, Friday may 7th rolls around and no call, no "received" email back, nothing, so I proceed to call again. Another female associate answers, I explain my previous contact with her coworker and a description of what I needed. As the previous associate stated, send me the pictures, your invoice number while we're on the phone, while stating that the previous associate never received my information after telling her which email address I sent it to. She gives me her email (%$#÷@ashleyhs.com), and within seconds I'm reforwarding the previous email that I sent to her coworker. She received it and let me know that NOW she's going to send this information to the service department and then someone from that department will be contacting me. It's now Sunday, may 9th, no call from the service department, or received email stating "we're working on it." Deeply disappointed once again by this company, not only for the extremely long wait for the furniture, but also the lackluster customer service presented by the associates when a customer is calling for a relatively easy and simple fix. Upon receiving my replacement items this will be the LAST time seeking furniture from this company. read more

The sales associate Nicole J. was very helpful with helping me pick out pieces for my living room, but that's where the customer service ended. A week after purchase, their entire system went down and I lost all phone acccess to the store. for several weeks no status on furniture delivery. eventually corporate comms came up but not poor old Ashley Furniture in Waldorf. I had to consistently call HQ or go into the store to get updates, no one called. i received numerous dates iwhen the items would be in which kept getting moved with no communication to me. I finally went in after a month passed to obtain a refund and was charged a 10% restocking fee even though they were the ones in error. the manger Jerrell walks away during the conversation. The office manager Angelica continued to process my refund and apologized. After 15 minutes the store manager Jerrell returns and asks the store manager if she charged us the 10% fee. Seriously! piss pooor customer service all around and I will never shop Ashley again. We needed a repair and paid for insurance. It was weeks trying to get a customer service rep and took even longer to schedule the repairs. Never again! And if the insurance service you use doesn't provide good service you shouldn't use them! You charge for that extra service! read more

They charged $189 over the $800 cost of a power lift chair for a handicapped. Individual, for product insurance. When the electric lift stopped working the chair could no longer be used, since it would not lift. A call to Ashley revealed that the insurance only covered the fabric and not the mechanism. $189 down the drain from a handicapped person on Social Security. No written description of the insurance or warranty was provided. Only a verbal assurance that everything was covered. Please stay away from this dishonest business. BTW, Ashley says the NOW the insurance covers the mechanism, but I'm still out of luck. Ashley is now owned by Regency Furniture and I'll bet their mothers are proud of them! read more

I was promised at least a phone call and to date, not a peep. Instead, the store manager was annoyed because I refused to accept a partial order (WHICH IS NOT WHAT I PAID FOR). I purchase my furniture on Nov. 30th, 2019, my salesperson (Darrell) did an excellent job of misrepresenting the company. He was personable, charismatic, and very professional. However; to my regret and disappointment, it has materialized into the complete opposite experience. A partial order of my furniture arrived the day before Christmas !!!, I did not receive any prior notification that there was a problem with the order. Thank God I refused to accept the partial order since then I've read of countless others who've been stuck waiting for furniture. Horrible service Waited 2 months for my furnitures and my dining table still has not arrived I have the documents which shows my purchase date and there is no furniture company who would take this long to deliver the finalized furnitures. First they delivered a defected dining table and then they took it back and has not yet delivered my dining table yet. I bought two mattresses from them and one of them has defect on it. While sleeping I feel one side of the mattress has less air and it feels like when you have a flat tire. I told them to replace that and they got back to me today (01/06/2019) and said I have to pay inspection fee of $125 to have the technician inspect the mattress first. Why would I pay the fee for a defect mattress to be inspected. I guess I have to deal with the defected mattress and had my money gone to waste. I still have not received notification about my dining table Customer service is at its worst and I never expected this from a renowned furniture store. Never recommending anyone to buy from them. The Ashley furniture warranty is a scam. We bought a sectional sofa months ago and noticed frame damage shortly after delivery. This type of damage is supposedly covered under the warranty. We've been stood up for four repair appointments. Either the technicians never show, or the technican is mysteriously injured the night before or the day of the appointment. Of course, another appointment isn't available until months later. Ashley hasn't taken any responsibility and avoids even communicating about the issue. Please take your money to another furniture store as Ashley will not honor its own policies. read more

I will never purchase anything from them again. I also would not recommend anyone purchase from there. when I made my purchase, I told the salesman that I did not want a high bed, at least 5 times if not more. I had choice of a regular flat bunkie board or one that raised your head and legs. I told him I wanted the flat one and I thought that was what I was getting. However, they sent a box spring, which I did not want. So, with the mattress, box spring and bed frame my bed is 37" high. I'm 62 inches. It's so high, I need a step stool to get in and out of the bed. I've talked to the manager there (after 3 days of calling) and Calvin gave me a customer service number. He also told me I had to pay $150.00 for them to come and get it. Asked if the plastic was off and of course it was. His delivery men set everything up so they wouldn't have left it on! I called the customer service number and needless to say, the person could barely speak English and didn't help at all. Yesterday afternoon I received a message that I had to go to the store "Today" and pay a retrieval fee of 89.99 and make my purchase (again) of a bunkie board. Not doing that! They have the worst customer service ever. Oh, they're great when purchasing from them but after it's delivered, they could care less. HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE AND DELIVERY TIMELINE Like many others have said, we ordered furniture for multiple rooms over two months ago and still have yet to receive all of our furniture...and the furniture we did receive has defects! The only reason we received any furniture was because we called multiple times, went in 4 times, and finally threatened to cancel the order due to the lack of customer service and communication. They make you feel like you are in good hands in the store and then you never hear from them again. The manager even defended this process by saying that there was no tracking system on their end so the customers just have to call to receive updates. I've never heard of something so ridiculous. Make sure to check prices online prior to making a purchase because they WILL charge you more than the online price. Our sales man was Demorris, he made it seem like he was giving us a great deal but then overcharged us $400 more than what the ottoman was online. They are also shady about delivery times, telling you what you want to hear to get you to buy. I would recommend you go anywhere BUT here!! Would have given 0 stars if able. I was finally able to come to a resolution after calling the corporate office. All of my furniture is still not ready and it is past the 8 week mark but at least they offered to do a complimentary split payment so we get some of our furniture. I never write reviews, but my experience here was so bad that if I can save anyone else the headache, I will. The customer service here is terrible and no one wants to help you. The delivery and customer service line that they refer you to is through Regency. They are AWFUL. I received damaged furniture. Instead of it being replaced, they say they are going to repair it. They were supposed to order the part on June 29th but never did, so now I am still waiting for the part that they cannot prove that they even ordered so that they can send a tech out to repair it. I tried calling the store and no one there can help me, and no one at Regency can help me. So we are stuck paying for damaged furniture. read more

Then there was delay after delay after delay. The furniture gets here and it looks like something they picked up at a thrift shop on the way to my house. Call immediately to customer service to report the issue in which they gave me an email to send pictures to...but the email didn't work. Tried calling back and then I couldn't get anyone else on the phone. I had to resort to messaging them on twitter which of course they were eager to respond to because they will fuck you in private all day long but they can't have other potential customers know they are scamming right ? So I was promised that my case would be escalated and someone would be in touch. Meanwhile no one contacted me I still had to consistently reach out to customer service myself trying to get a hold of someone. Eventually I was told that because I did not being my issue to the attention of the store immediate (which is just plain false, they just refused to acknowledge it) that I could no longer get my money back but they would send someone out to repair the furniture. Imagine paying thousands of dollars for brand new furniture that needs to be repaired...foolishness! So the appointment is scheduled for July 1st for the furniture to be repaired and guess who is not coming? They have conveniently forgotten my appointment, of course after I cleared my schedule and took time off work, and called to schedule something neglecting to mention the original appointment we had for today. Honestly save yourself the time and the headache. If you see a couch in an alley way that two bums just fucked on it's probably the same quality as anything you will get from here anyways and a whole lot cheaper so do yourself a favor and just shop anywhere else. This is the worst store in America. Poor customer service. You call and ask for a manger and you are told they are always on another call. Trying to exchange furniture because you thought you were buying adult furniture and when you get it home then you realize the inside of the furniture was made for a toddler clothes and not adult. Then you call the store trying to resolve the issue you are told that you have 72 hours to return the merchandise and you are calling withi. The 72 hours. If you pick up an item at 2 pm on Saturday wouldn't you have to Tuesday to return not Monday. It what world do you list 24 hours at the time of pick up. That would be considered as 48 hours for return. Also with this policy it is not stated anywhere on the paperwork that you have 72 hours for return on a standard/normal stock item. Buyer beware. Extremely disappointed in this location. We shopped online since our home is roughly an hour away, I had everything I wanted picked out and my total was $5,142 in my"cart" on the website. I called the store just to see if we could receive a military discount and was informed we could if we came in to order, and they said for the month for Memorial day they are giving *free* home delivery if over 1700 bucks, plus we would get the discount and they would price match what was on the website. My husband went to the store and was working with an older man who was very kind but a bit slow at his job but he knew what he was doing, though the wait was long and there was barely any customers in sight. Well, we were quoted $6,200ish from this store, and they did not have everything in stock that we wanted, the manager told my us that he just gave us a blanket discount for all the items instead of price matching, to make it seem like a better deal. However we found out it did not include 700 bucks worth of stuff i had in my cart online (3 items). The excuse for the 1,000 bucks more and missing 3 items was its part of the home delivery, yet it was waived. They had no excuse why the price was more. My husband left very upset. Why tell customers you will price match and offer military discounts if you dont? $1,000 more to get the items in person and it didnt even include all the items. Such a rip off. We are reporting this to corporate as well. False advertisement, and lying to customers. read more

We purchased an entire living room set and were able to have the cocktail table and end tables price-matched to a price we saw at an online retailer. We were told six weeks maximum for delivery. Exactly at the day of the six week mark, we received a call to schedule the delivery for another week out with a choice of only two days. Forward to delivery... The sofa arrived damaged; with a large stain on a cushion and holes put into the rear of the sofa, presumably by the delivery drivers shoving the sofa thru my front door. I called four times beginning the day of delivery, mid-September. Finally I received a return call today, after much back and forth, stating a new cushion cover will be sent out. As for the the holes, I have a choice of a $50 gift card or I can have the fabric sent to me and a technician will also be sent out to attempt to fix the sofa, which could cause more damage. How about a new $1000 sofa, which is what I paid for? And what I purchased the protection plan for? Besides the fact that it was delivered to me this way... Overall very disappointed with Ashley Furniture. Update as of 1/17/17 I have had this furniture set (Cloverfield sofa and love seat) a little over a year. It does NOT hold up well at all. The pillows and cushions look like they have 5+ years use for a family of 3 using them. This seems to be a widespread issue. I left a review with photos of the issues on Ashley's website. I was contacted by a representative within 24 hours stating that someone would be contacting me regarding my issues. No one contacted me. I re-contacted customer service and was told my issue would be "escalated" and I would be contacted by 1/17. As of today, I still have not been contacted and when I reached back out to the Ashley representative, I was told my issue would be "escalated" again and I would be contacted by 1/20. It seems to me that Ashely Furniture does not stand behind their product or their word. Period. I will never buy from here again based on the lack of value and quality of the product, as well as the lack of customer service. Update to 1/24/17 Completely unbelievable..... I am still waiting to be contacted ... my complaint was "escalated" by a supervisor who is going to personally reach out to have someone contact me. My mom and I had a great experience with Sales Associate, Richard Holmes who greeted us promptly at the door to let us know he was available. He gave us a chance to browse before checking in to help us decide on exactly what we needed. We were able to mix pieces for a dining set that suited our taste. He was very personable but never intrusive. When it was time to complete the transaction Kre Ashah, the CSR gave clear information on the financing and when the product would be delivered.
