However upon entering, the place was a mad house, a pilgrimage of several families sat and declared that all seats were taken leaving me to sit outside in the cold wind. The salad is a big portion with two skewers and lots of mixed greens, cherry tomatoes, beets, radishes, and chickpeas. The dressing was a tangy vinaigrette. You order at a computer on the wall and you can dine in or take out. There are only about 4 small tables inside and 2 small tables outside. While it's on a somewhat shady part of Pico Blvd, the restaurant itself is clean, well lit and cozy. After we ordered at the computer, we waited a bit for the food to come out. There is a worker who brings out to the table who was very friendly. The only downside is the price. I believe everything here is organic and it was indeed delicious, but the salad was $30. My friend had a Shish plate with one chicken skewer and one beef skewer and it was about $35. I think the food is very fresh and delicious, and the ingredients are organic, which is probably why it's so high priced. But given that you order at a kiosk and it has a healthy fast food ambiance vibe, the price seemed to cause a disconnect in the experience. Once again, the food was absolutely amazing. But at the prices, I personally can't be a regular. Which is disappointing to me because it's such a great place for a quick healthy meal after a workout or long day, but just me ordering a few salads here a week would be over $100. When you walk in, you may not see anyone working, because it seems they keep a small crew (on a Friday night, only two people, possibly the owners?). You order via one of three kiosks mounted on the wall next to the front counter. If you need service, from time to time, a woman will appear from the kitchen with huge trays of food to be delivered to diners. There is also a small bell on the front counter that when rung, the lady will come moments later to check what you may need. (Don't hesitate to ring it; she will come!!) The food takes a little while, but realizing it's so fresh, made to order, with such high quality ingredients... it's worth every moment of the wait. Not only does the food *look* amazing, but the plentiful feast before you tastes even BETTER. I love Mediterranean food. *love it* I've eaten it all over the world... When I tell you that every single bite was bursting with herby, fragrant, mouthwateringly mind-blowing flavor ... I am not exaggerating. I don't know if I've ever had better. Honestly. My two friends and I were so amazed by the food, we didn't even think to pause and take a picture, for which I apologize... because it deserved commemoration. The plates are so cute, and you have a real silverware. It is not cheap, and the service is slow because just two people work there. If you live around, take out your meal. And, there are two tables outside and you can take your dog. They didn't complain. The main compliment is the food is typical of Eritrea! It tastes different than other Mediterranean dishes.
