There is also a small bell on the front counter that when rung, the lady will come moments later to check what you may need. (Don't hesitate to ring it; she will come!!) The food takes a little while, but realizing it's so fresh, made to order, with such high quality ingredients... it's worth every moment of the wait. You order at a computer on the wall and you can dine in or take out. There are only about 4 small tables inside and 2 small tables outside. While it's on a somewhat shady part of Pico Blvd, the restaurant itself is clean, well lit and cozy. After we ordered at the computer, we waited a bit for the food to come out. There is a worker who brings out to the table who was very friendly. The only downside is the price. I believe everything here is organic and it was indeed delicious, but the salad was $30. My friend had a Shish plate with one chicken skewer and one beef skewer and it was about $35. I think the food is very fresh and delicious, and the ingredients are organic, which is probably why it's so high priced. But given that you order at a kiosk and it has a healthy fast food ambiance vibe, the price seemed to cause a disconnect in the experience. Once again, the food was absolutely amazing. But at the prices, I personally can't be a regular. Which is disappointing to me because it's such a great place for a quick healthy meal after a workout or long day, but just me ordering a few salads here a week would be over $100. The main reason is the food! The cooker is a really nice, sympathetic person. She takes care of everything in the restaurant and kitchen. The food is delicious! The plates are so cute, and you have a real silverware. It is not cheap, and the service is slow because just two people work there. If you live around, take out your meal. And, there are two tables outside and you can take your dog. They didn't complain. The main compliment is the food is typical of Eritrea! It tastes different than other Mediterranean dishes. I would give this place no stars if I could. My friend and I went to have lunch here today and we used the self service order kiosk to place our orders. Almost 30 minutes went by and my friend didn't even receive her drink (a lemonade the was double the price of a regular soda) let alone our food. The worker was consistently rude to everyone walking in and picking up orders (even one lady saying her order was wrong and the worker said "no it isn't, that's what you ordered." He then proceeded to ignore her and went back into the kitchen). There is a bell to ring for service and every time someone rang it, the same worker came out with a terrible attitude and snarky comments, as if he could never be wrong or make an error. I was not sure if the drinks were self service since my friend didn't receive her drink and he never bothered to greet us or tell us he was working in our order. So I went to grab a cup and fill her drink. The worker came out and scolded me, and told me I should've rang the bell. At that time I said we were already waiting 30 minutes and he said I was wrong about the wait time. We then received our order and my order was wrong. My friend's drink tasted terrible. We requested for a drink change and a change in the order and he said no because we went to get the drink ourselves and he did not make a mistake in my order (although I had my receipt showing the order was wrong). He ignored us and went back to the kitchen and at that time I proceeded to ring the bell (since that's the only way he answers customers) until he came back out. We demanded a refund and he paid us back in cash. We left the food and drink. I will never give this place my business and will never recommend it to anyone! read more

First, the restaurant is next to a hookah bar so you're going to enjoy that strong smoke.(not) Seating is very limited, when we arrived the limited indoor serving is always reserved. There's only two outdoor tables. Next, there was no staff. I kept asking hello... hello... with no response. I think there's only one person working at the restaurant on the Sunday afternoon. Next, food prices were outrageous. Not only for the cuisine, but for the area. Prices were literally Beverly hills prices on Pico Street. The menu items looked good, but for the price I expected more to come with the combinations. For context, the Panini grill offers a chicken breast kabob skewer with rice and salad for $17.99. As you can see from the owner's response, they're not interested in negative comments. I'm unsure if all the positive comments were from family and friends, but they really need to look at the issues and not try to sweep them under the Persian rug.
