Had a few places to choose from in celebrating an anniversary. This place looked pretty interesting and the food sounded really good. It was in fact very good. The plates are all "small bites" style (like appetizers). So it's recommended to order about 2-3 plates per person (ish). We had reservations, so we didn't have to wait for a table. It was quite busy, even at 4pm, so reservations are highly recommended. Our server greeted us promptly upon being seated. She took our order and made recommendations accordingly to our questions. Plates came in around the $15 range each. And cocktails ran just under $20 each. The atmosphere gives a sense of casual, but most people were dressed towards the business casual end. It is a very inviting and relaxing dining space, situated under the canopy of and around an enormous fig tree. There is no onsite parking, so you'll have to contend with parking along the Sunset Strip or opt for optional valet.

I always enjoy a great Mediterranean spot! This place is in perfect location and the vibe is equally as good. Let's get to the food! Their Lamb Hummus,Flat Iron Steak and Mediterranean Street Corn are great starters. The flavors are delicious and melt in your mouth. They have a variety of other options that will provide you and your family shareable plates. Service is good as Corset and Madilyn are friendly and helpful and will provide and suggestions. Parking is on the adjacent street or valet.

7/10 Flat Iron Steak - This was mid. I've definitely made way better steak at home. 8.5/10 Scallop Medallions - The scallops were cooked to perfection, however I just didn't love the sauce, and the scallops were a bit over-salted. 10/10 Lamb Humus - Probably my favorite item we ordered! It completely surprised me with how packed with flavor it was! 10/10 Ricotta and Beet Gnocchi - My 2nd favorite item we ordered! It was delicious, the gnocchi was so soft, and the sauce paired perfectly with it! 5/10 Bcari Fries with Bacon - These were worse than McDonald's fries lol, definitely never getting these again. 8.5/10 Mac and Cheese - I enjoyed eating this, it just wasn't cheesy enough for my preference. It had great seasoning though. 10/10 Glazed Pork Belly - OMG this was definitely in my top 3 for sure. Cooked and seasoned perfectly. Cost - Flat Iron Steak $18.00, Scallop Medallions $18.00, Lamb Humus $16.00, Ricotta and Beet Gnocchi $15.00, Bacari Fries with Bacon $16.50, Mac and Cheese $13.50, Glazed Pork Belly $16.00.

Bacari delivers a fun, trendy brunch experience with a tapas-style setup that makes it perfect for sharing and trying a little bit of everything. The energy is lively and the food is delish - flavors were on point and everything felt well crafted. A few things to know before you go: The portions are small (tapas size) so plan on ordering 1-2 dishes/person to share. Valet parking is offered or street parking around the busy neighborhood (allot extra time for parking and walking). Importantly, make a reservation, walk-ins are welcome but be prepared to wait if you show up without one.

I went to Bacari again for a birthday dinner and we sat upstairs at the outside patio and it was a lovely experience! The greenery and the foliage was beautiful. Our server was super attentive and kind and made sure that we had enough food and drink! My favorites still are the Lamb pizza and the Bacari fries. The pizza has such a good flavor and topped with the egg, it feels indulgent in the best way! The fries have the perfect crisp and the gravy/sauce is SO good! I could do with or without the egg on top but it was delicious! I got the Socal Staple for my drink and it was a great balance of sweetness. I had a refill of it and preferred it with crushed ice vs cubed ice! It also comes with a beautiful slice of watermelon.

My first time at Bacari and I really enjoyed myself!! My friends and I decide to come here and it was a great idea!!! We came at 4:00 pm after brunch and it was still crowded! I ordered the grilled chicken breast which was phenomenal and I had some of my friend fries, which was very good and fresh! For our drink we all opt in on the 90 minutes open bar for $37 which is such a great deal!! It's rare when restaurants have this! I tried the espresso martini, you can get cocktails with this open bar and wine etc. the sparkling wine was great, and red sangria. 5/5 for the food and drinks. The service was phenomenal the servers was very nice and patient. If someone at our table did not like something they switched it and recommended something else. Attentive the entire time and gave great food suggestions. The ambiance was nice we sat outside at the outdoor patio upstairs. The only thing I feel is that it could have more handicap options for those who have disabilities and strollers. It can be more modern but it's nothing too great to elaborate on the decor. It is spacious with indoor and outdoor seating. I will come back here to have the best service again! My friends and I had a great time! -Marshay D.

Amazing service. The all you can drink special is a TRAPPPPP because everything you taste is so well made. All the food and drinks were amazing. I came down and had a catch up dinner with 4 of my friends here. We stayed for over 2 hours just enjoying the view, trying new plates, and hanging out. I think the star of the show, for me, was the Asian Pear pizza which was kindly recommended by our server. There's so many different foods to try and the workers will help you choose if you need. The place itself is gorgeous whether you're sitting inside or outside. All the servers are so kind and down to earth. This is a great place you can dress up at or have a casual dinner with friends. I will definitely be back. Thanks Bacari.

Interior -- the place had a lot of people in it, and I didn't want to make them feel uncomfortable by taking a wide shot of the place.

3.5 stars rounded up. First time to Bacari, and I wish we'd gone with a group. That seemed to be the vibe of the place. It's big, open-air, with different seating areas -- and even with the openness of it, it gets LOUD. We were two people and it was difficult for us to hear each other between the larger groups and the music. The dishes range from shareable "tapas" (or the Mediterranean version) to main courses. The person I was with had a personal mushroom flatbread/pizza, which clearly had a homemade crust and fresh veggies on it. I had the lamb hummus, which I really enjoyed -- came with pita bread that was also fresh and tasted homemade (whether it was or not!) and veggies for dipping. It doesn't look very large, but in the end I couldn't finish it, it was so filling! The hummus was very flavorful and had a nice little kick to it as well. If I get to go here again, I'll be glad to update my review with more info. But if you're looking for a place for a celebration or bringing a group, this is your place. If it's a quieter date or evening you're looking for, I might suggest trying someplace else and returning here when you're in the mood for a bit more of an exuberant atmosphere.

I love Bacari! Staff was so friendly, the ambiance and restaurant itself was beautiful! I got the Stuffed Mushrooms: 10/10 soo flavorful (I also just love mushrooms ) Lamb Hummus: 10/10 delicious Skirt Steak: 8/10 decent! Shrimp Ceviche: 9/10 very refreshing & was a good light edition to the other heavier choices I ordered

I have been here more than a dozen times and Alexandria and Sophia are top notch lovely individuals who deserve the best accolades. Our experience was made by their hospitality and their suggestions on the menu. The food here is impeccable, the 90 minute unlimited drink menu is also peak too. I always recommend this place when it comes to dates, birthdays or just general good vibes. I've been coming here for many many years and I just can't get enough!

Such a beautiful setting! You feel like you're in a literal treehouse surrounded by beautiful ambiance. Our server MYRA! Someone please give her a raise. She was so sweet and attentive. She took her time explaining and suggesting items to try. We loved her service. The tapas are all so creative and delicious. But just know, you're gonna spend alot of money. We went for our anniversary and knew that going in. For a party of 4 we spent $230. We got 5 tapas and a pizza, 1 cocktail each, and dessert. It was a special night so we splurged and loved everything about it. **The only reason for one star getting knocked off of the accessibility of the place is if you have any physical limitations you need to disclose that when making your reservation because the upper dining area is treacherous with the stairs.

    Bacari Fries
    Caitlin D.

Incredibly cool ambiance, but mostly terrible food. We got: the Mediterranean street corn (the only true excellent dish,) Bacari fries (awful, soggy fries with a random, non-runny egg on top,) and sea bass (tasteless.) The fried chicken sliders were so awful we sent them back (I so rarely do that). Even the bread with olive oil was gross which feels like it should be impossible?? For a tapas place the table sizes are tiny so there's a crowded, claustrophobic feeling. Two stars because the location is gorgeous but phewwwww the food needs work.

    Burrata Caprese and Shawarma Tacos
    Liv M.

Tree-house dining with a beautiful setting, delicious food, and great service. We sampled Brussels sprouts, shawarma chicken tacos, burrata, pork belly, stuffed mushrooms, and bread pudding for dessert. The tapa style servings are perfect sharing size. Our favorites were the shawarma tacos, the chicken was flavorful, topped with cabbage, the Brussels sprouts were crispy, charred and drizzled with a creamy topping, and burrata with pesto and vibrant heirloom tomatoes. I had the strawberry fizz cocktail which was well-balanced and refreshing. Our server, Drake was attentive, friendly, and ensured we were good throughout the night. Bacari is lively in a candle-lit setting, the only drawback is the small two stall bathrooms for the busy and packed restaurant. Shoutout to the attentive and prompt parking staff. Overall, we are so glad we visited and enjoyed Bacari.

The menu is inviting with plenty of great options without being overwhelming. Less is more. But let's talk art (culinary, that is). The dishes certainly deserve main features. To start "the best Caesar salad in LA" and I quote which was certainly true. Grilled octopus charred on the inside and juicy at the center. Spicy pomodoro is perfectly al dente and a well-balanced sauce. But, my favorite-- the agnolotti! Wow, melt in your mouth! The flavor profiles of corn, crème fraiche, and old bay were delicious. My only wish -- larger serving of this (smallest pasta serving on the menu). To complete it, banana pudding tiramisu -- delicious too with a firm center and oozy outside. Atala was wonderful and very sweet. Recommendation: come with a group of at least 4 to try more on the menu -- the large plates (branzino and ribeye) looked excellent! Definitely a worthwhile visit.

Everything was absolutely delicious! You really can't go wrong with any choices on the menu. Everything we cooked to perfection with a lot of flavor. Also, if you sit at the hightop bar, the kitchen is an open concept so you can watch the chefs cook and plate the food. As far as the drinks, I am not sure if they have a full bar but they do have a few selection of wine along with a small cocktail menu. I stuck with the cucumber basil (with tequila). Still stands-up to the hype after all these years…read more If "Trendy" was a restaurant, Bestia would easily be in top contention, even after being around for more than a decade. That says a lot. Once upon a time (a few years ago), my CFP + banking institution wanted to thank me for being one of their top private clients. They expressed their gratitude with a very generous, all expense paid full-course meal at Bestia. To say that I was impressed would be an understatement. Fast forward to now, I knew that coming back here would be a good idea. Make no mistake, even if you try to book a reservation several weeks in-advance, don't be surprised if the only available seats are at the counter. Granted, I was in a spacey table during my past visit, the counter can be an enjoyable & unintentionally entertaining space. It's great for a more casual vibe, as you get to see some of the kitchen workers put together some of their signature dishes. In many ways, Bestia seems like a microcosm of the city that it rather humbly resides within. What always catches me off-guard, is that the surrounding simple area really doesn't reflect the happening, vibrant, night-life that resides within the building's walls. You feel like you're taken so a different, very social, very bustling world. WINE: Podere 72, Poderi San Lazzaro (Marche region, central Italy) - 8.7 / 10 A very robust blend of Montepulciano & Sangiovese grapes that results in a balanced, medium bodied red wine that stands-up to heartiness of a beef ribeye steak. FOOD: Roasted Bone Marrow - 9.4/ 10 I have several friends that go here just for this particular dish. Funny enough, one can almost always tell that one is at Bestia because of the rather peculiar manner in which this dish is served. Hot, melted bone marrow is appropriately scooped out of the bone & poured onto spinach gnocchetti. It's like eating beef flavored mouth pillows of potato + spinach. It's definitely a dish that will impress whoever you are with. I can never resist ordering this whenever I am here. Oxtail alla Vaccinara - 8.9 / 10 The deep, rich maroon color of the rigatoni (thanks to beets) is a sight to behold. The pasta is firm but not too hard. It's a humble yet complex pasta dish that complements any main course. 26oz Margaret River Wagyu Ribeye - 9.4 / 10 Anybody who knows me knows that I love my ribeye. Any decent fancy restaurant does a ribeye. But no one does a ribeye quite like Bestia. The fermented mushroom cream delivers a punch of pungence not unlike a delectable dijon mustard, but to the highest of levels. This dish also makes me a believer in well-cooked onions served alongside steak. I usually like to take a home a portion of ribeye for later, but this is one of the very few instances when the steak is so good, that I can't help but finish it here. Again, the portion is more than enough to be shared. Fromage Blanc Mousse - 9.1 / 10 This seasonal dish hits all the right notes. It's the fanciest of cheesecakes, so I recommend sharing this. With its decadence, a little truly goes a long way & that's perfectly fine. The richness of the cheese is offset perfectly by the right balance of candied kumquats. A great "bite" to end on. Huge shout-out & thanks to Radu for being the nicest & most enthusiastic of servers. It's little things like him being so down to take pics of you with your party that really make me want to come back here. It the owners / management is reading this, please recognize how pivotal he is to your team. If he was working under me, I would most definitely give him a raise. Also, shout-out to Dani at the hostess stand. She is one of the most personable people. For being the first person that patrons see upon entering, she is the perfect face, attitude, & welcoming personality that the hospitality industry is in dire need of. She's a rockstar of a hostess & a pleasure to talk with. Bestia is a better place because of valuable employees like Radu & Dani. As always, come for the food. Come back for the service. I would definitely come back because of how amazing Radu & Dani are. Years after the hype, the vibe is still very much happening at Bestia.

The biggest disappointment was the service. Our server was unwilling to accommodate even simple requests. One friend in our group doesn't drink, and when we asked if her mocktail could be served in a cocktail glass so she could feel included, he simply said no. He also refused to make an espresso martini despite having the ingredients available. To make matters worse, one of our dishes never arrived. When we brought it up, the server responded, "I asked you if it came out and you said yes," instead of apologizing for the mistake. Afterward, he took the bill and appeared to be talking negatively about our table. For a restaurant with such a stellar reputation, I expected much better. This was actually my second visit. The first time, my husband and I stopped in for lunch and had a couple of items that were good, but I left feeling like maybe we just didn't order the right things. Since so many people seem to love this place, we decided to give it another shot. This time we came with a group of four and ordered a variety of dishes. We started with the octopus, tartare, and burrata appetizers. For pizzas, we had the Mortadella Pista and the Prosciutto with Truffle Oil Pista. We also ordered the Cacio e Pepe, mushroom risotto, and the Nutella dessert. The appetizers were okay, but the burrata was definitely the highlight. The pizzas were good and enjoyable, but nothing particularly memorable that would have me planning a return visit just for them. The Cacio e Pepe was decent, but the mushroom risotto was honestly the worst mushroom risotto I've ever had. It tasted like Campbell's cream of mushroom soup had been used as the base. The ambiance was nice, the service was good, and the drinks were enjoyable, but again, nothing felt especially memorable or exceptional. On a positive note, the prices were fair for what you get. Overall, I personally don't feel the need to come back. It's a perfectly fine meal, but with so many great dining options around, this just didn't stand out to me.

The Caesar salad and garlic bread was phenomenal, enough to make us come back just for the "appetizers." They were exactly what everyone had said they were going to be. The fusilli was also very good, not too spicy and the perfect mix of tomato/creamy. The chicken parmigiana was solid and it was huge! I don't think I'm the best critic of the chicken parmigiana since I rarely order at other restaurants but I had to try it since it was what everyone talked about. The flavor was great, but I could do without it and just order the Caesar, garlic bread, and fusilli

Everything we've tried has been excellent, and it's one of those rare restaurants where every dish feels like a hit. The Caesar salad is easily one of the best I've had. Every piece of lettuce is perfectly coated in dressing, the croutons are great, and the mountain of freshly grated cheese takes it over the top. The garlic bread is unreal. If you order the prawns, do yourself a favor and dip the bread into that buttery garlic sauce, spoon some extra sauce on top, and eat it while it's soaked. It's ridiculous. The Alla Vodka pasta is always a safe choice, rich and comforting without being too heavy. The lasagna came out with a beautifully crisp top straight from the oven and was packed with flavor. The potatoes were another surprise favorite--super crispy and served with a house-made aioli that made them impossible to stop eating. The chicken parm was excellent too: crispy, fresh, loaded with sauce, and exactly what you want from a classic Italian-American dish. The meal ended on a high note with complimentary limoncello shots from the house. For dessert, we had the tiramisu and panna cotta. The panna cotta had a subtle basil flavor that made it unique and memorable, while the tiramisu was honestly one of the best I've ever had--light, creamy, and perfectly balanced. Service was fantastic. The staff was friendly, funny, and genuinely welcoming. The funniest part of the night was that we accidentally booked a reservation at the Donna in New York instead of this restaurant. Even after our mistake, the host was incredibly kind and got us seated within about 15 minutes. One thing to note: pets are not allowed, except for service animals. Donna's has become one of my favorite spots. Great food, great service, and a fun atmosphere. I'll definitely keep coming back.

The Caesar salad was really good, and the branzino was honestly one of the best I've ever had - great presentation too. The kitchen staff in the back were some latino dudes but tbey clearly know what they're doing because the food tasted very authentic and well executed. I'm giving 3 stars for service because we waited way too long for our bottle of wine. When it finally came out, it wasn't the bottle I ordered, and our waitress Lauren insisted it was the same thing, which felt insulting because it was obviously not the same vintage - it was off by two years. At that point, I just wanted some wine already, so l let it go. That said, the ambiance was great, and the food alone makes this place worth visiting.

We stopped here on our way home from our honeymoon, and it turned out to be a great choice to end the trip on a high note. The service was genuinely excellent. We had a reservation for two, were warmly welcomed, and our server did an outstanding job throughout the evening. In Los Angeles, it can be hard to find places where the staff actually seems to enjoy what they do, and this was a refreshing exception. As for the food, it was a bit of a mixed experience. The margherita pizza was the one that disappointed me the most, mostly because I had high expectations. I love a good margherita, but this one had too much cheese and sauce and not enough basil, so it ended up tasting more like a plain cheese pizza, which is honestly my least favorite. That said, the crust was absolutely sensational. The meatballs were decent but could have used more salt. The desserts, however, were the highlight of the meal. When we mentioned it was our honeymoon, the staff surprised us with a complimentary olive oil cake, which was my first time trying one and it was wonderful. The fried dough with Nutella was also amazing. The desserts here are generous, well-made, and absolutely worth saving room for. Overall, a lovely experience with room for improvement on the savory side.

The experience did not disappoint -- it was beautiful from beginning to end. Our extraordinary server was James. He was engaging, attentive and unpretentious. His knowledge of the menu was impressive as he explained each section and item in a simplified way. After making our choices, he suggested changing one of our pasta selections since they all had heavy sauces. We accepted his recommendation of the Spaghetti Arrabbiata, which turned out to be everyone's favorite! The tomato-based sauce was light and perfectly spicy. Everything and I mean EVERYTHING was amazing. The focaccia, oxtail meatballs and burrata with ham were a great start, showcasing the quality of the ingredients and thoughtful preparations -- they set the tone for our entire meal. The taste and texture of the freshly made pastas were unmistakable and so, so good with the wonderful sauces. The lamb chops were well-seasoned and cooked to perfection. I especially enjoyed the bed of sliced snow peas, green beans and English peas set over mint sauce. After all that, we had just enough room for shared desserts -- Budino and Tiramisu. Both were the perfect finish to a delicious meal. If you like chocolate, the Budino is for you -- rich but not overly sweet. Each yummy bite with the crumble topping was nicely balanced by the sprinkled salt. Service was impeccable and well-coordinated. We especially appreciated that dishes and utensils were changed after each course. A couple things to keep in mind: *Reservations - Via Resy. The reservation window is open 14 days at a time. *Parking - Valet is right in front. We found street parking just around the corner on Sunset (metered but free after 7pm). *Price Point - Approximately $100 per person. Mother Wolf is a cashless establishment. A 5% wellness fee is added to all checks. We will absolutely be back!

I also had a Bellini for the first time, and it was a delightful addition to our meal. After finishing the omelet, I couldn't resist ordering one of the croissants, and I'm so glad I did. That croissant deserves special mention. Large, beautiful, flaky, buttery, and everything a croissant should be. One bite and we understood why people rave about the bakery. The atmosphere was calm and inviting, with attentive service that made it easy to slow down and enjoy the morning. Large windows provided wonderful views of the surrounding downtown buildings, and we found ourselves lingering over coffee while watching the city come to life. As if breakfast wasn't enough, the pastry display caught our attention on the way out. Everything looked so beautiful and delicious that we couldn't resist taking a few pastries home with us. We haven't tried them yet, but if they're anything like breakfast, we're in for a treat. Bottega Louie was a wonderful stop before heading home and a breakfast we'll definitely remember. Highly recommended.
