Shoutout to Bacari Silver Lake! Typically, I'm not the biggest fan of restaurants that focus on smaller shareable plates, but Bacari completely changed my perspective. It made me realize that when every dish is this good, sharing is actually part of the fun. The Brussels sprouts absolutely blew me away. The crunch, the seasoning, the flavor, and the texture were all perfectly balanced. Every bite had me reaching for another. The pizza was just as impressive--the sausage, cheese, and crust were all in the perfect ratio, making every slice incredibly satisfying. The biggest surprise of the night had to be the shawarma tacos. Those are seriously underrated. If you're debating between menu items, do yourself a favor and add the tacos. You won't regret it. I mean... who doesn't love tacos? From the moment I walked in, the service set the tone. The staff greeted me with so much energy and made me feel genuinely welcome. I wish I remembered my server's name because they absolutely deserve a shoutout. Even though the lighting is on the darker, more romantic side, the atmosphere is far from sleepy. The energy throughout the restaurant was lively, fun, and contagious. It felt like the perfect place for a date night, a celebration, or just getting together with friends. If I had one small critique, it would be the wings. The sauce was phenomenal, packed with flavor, but I personally would have loved the wings to have a little more crunch. That's honestly the only thing I'd want to see improved. Overall, every single dish I tried was fire. The food, the service, the ambience, and the vibe all came together to create an amazing experience. Bacari didn't just serve great food--it created an experience that made me want to come back before I even left. I'll definitely be back, and next time I'm bringing a big group of my hoopers with me because this is the kind of spot that's even better when you're sharing great food with great people. Easily one of my favorite dining experiences in Silver Lake.

We come here so often we're here multiple times a month now and ALWAYS recommend this place to everyone we know!! Food: Ordered quite a spread here and everything was so good! Honestly a fried egg on top of everything is always top tier. The chicken wings came with a creamy dipping sauce that paired perfectly, and the dip with the veggies was a nice fresh contrast. The french toast with berries and whipped cream was the perfect sweet ending! Everything felt fresh and so well thought out! Service: Excellent from start to finish The servers were personable and made the whole experience feel warm and easygoing. Atmosphere: Absolutely gorgeous! Inside there's a live band playing, giving it such a lively, social energy and the outside feels like stepping into a magical tree garden. A unique and beautiful setup, it makes the space feel quite special no matter where you're seated!

This place is like a multilevel bohemian tree house decked out with cushions, fairy lights and lanterns. We strolled in on a Tuesday just before 6 and were seated quickly. Our server, Dawud, made great food recommendations and everything was delicious! The plates are small, so order plenty! We ordered the little gem salad (so many great flavors and textures in this little dish), flat iron steak with grilled zucchini, Mediterranean street corn (I wasn't sure about this, but it was zingy and amazing), and the Asian pear & Brie pizza. The drinks were delicious as well. Alas, we didn't have room for dessert. Bacari Silverlake serves up a symphony of flavors, a relaxed vibe, and friendly service without trying too hard. Just genuinely nice people serving delicious dishes and drinks. Definitely coming back!

Such a great experience having my post-birthday dinner with my dear friend at Bacari Silverlake! We've been eyeing this restaurant for a while and it definitely delivers from the service by our wonderful waitress Alexandra to the food and ambience. We were very hungry and as the portions here are Tapas-style, we made sure we had a good variety of food ordered. First was Rainbow Beets that took us by surprise! The menu said this was oven-roasted beets, but what we had were not expected. These were sumptuous beets that was neither too hard and crunchy or mushy, and has this freshness with every bite. The 3 different types of beets - pink, dark red, and yellow - offered their own unique taste, with the pink being the sweetest and the yellow the most tart. The whipped chèvre cheese and olive oil balanced out the minty tarragon very well and added a playful delight with the beet. This how different components can really work together harmoniously and surprised us foodies. We gave it an A! The Oyster Mushroom was another surprising delight and actually did work like a falafel kabob in taste and texture. The tahini, pargiyot spice, and toum crema (Lebanese Garlic Sauce) blended well together to make a cohesive, balanced dish that also avoided tasting like a derivative. We gave this an A-. The crudo seafood dish, however, did tasted a little one-note. I didn't have this since I don't like seafood, but my friend said the herb and cucumber relish with za'atar overpowered the barramundi fish and felt like every bite was just a singular flavor with not as much nuance. She gave it a C+. Luckily, our Glazed Pork Belly was anything but flat. This dish brought us back to an explosion of flavor and savoriness with the salty crispy crust of the pork belly exterior giving way to the delicious pork belly juxtaposed by the sweet but tangy umami mulling glaze. And then you have the sesame seed, lemon, green onion, and cilantro to really elevate the dish even more. This was by far our favorite dish and I can't recommend it enough! This was the dish that really earned our A+! From that high, we coasted a bit with the Cast Iron Steak, which was quite good, but somewhat inconsistent with how good it was. Ours was grilled Medium, but we both felt that different slices had a varying degree of taste profile. This was also the first time where I felt the sauce (bearnise) was a little polite and didn't excite me as much as the previous dishes. The grilled zucchini lacked noticeable seasoning so they were just there. This was a dish that could use a bit more kick, and I think this was borderline B+ to A, depending on which slice you ate. The same can be said with the Shwarma Tacos where it can be more spiced up and earthier in its taste profile. The garlic tahini needed more garlic and that aforementioned kick, and maybe there was just an overwhelming amount of shredded cabbage. What really worked to save this dish were the chicken pargiyot and the pickle red onion. I certainly can use more of both. We'd give this a B. Finally, for dessert we both got our own Malabi, which was a rosewater custard with shaved coconuts, hibiscus jam, and candies pistachios. Right away, we both agreed the whole candied pistachios needed to be dialed back. Because they were whole pistachios, their size, hardness, and flavor were actually taking away from all the other more subtle flavors. It was distracting, and we both just ate all the pistachios first so we can then really enjoy the rest of the dessert. Maybe crushed pistachios is the solution here. This was where I also wanted more from the flavor because it was delicious. The rosewater custard could use some actual chopped up rose petals to even bring out even more of that floral flavor. The shaved coconut brought a nice counter in sweet harder texture while the hibiscus brought on another layer of sweetness that compliments the rosewater. These three components really work well together. It was a relatively simple dessert that's well thought-out and earned our A. To round it off, the service was also impeccable. Alexandra was quick, attentive, very friendly, and very knowledgeable with everything in the menu. Overall, our dinner at Bacari Silverlake was a great first experience and there is so much more in the menu we want to try, so we'll definitely be coming back for more!

Bacari is one of these locations that I've had booked marked for years and years, and I am very excited to say that I was finally able to give it a try The unique atmosphere with enjoying dinner in treehouse and tapas style menu is something that is so fun to experience. I have to say that I was able to take a look at the menu before even going to Bacari so I knew exactly what I wanted to try like the the skirt steak, scallops and burrata. It is recommended to get about 2 to 3 dishes to share amongst two people, so that left a few more open spots for us to choose from. I ended up landing on the stuffed mushrooms as well as the Seabass. I definitely have to say the stuff mushrooms are a great underrated choice. I really enjoyed how perfectly seasoned cooked and stuffed these mushrooms were, I quickly became one of my favorites. From Bacaris unique menu, tasty drinks, and wonderful service. I definitely can't wait to go back!

Everything about this place was a 10 out of 10. From the beginning, when we sat down, our waiter Tuba was so attentive and gave great recommendations to us. It was a group of four of us, so we were able to order a lot of different dishes to try and share. Everything had so much flavor and were great portions for us to be able to try everything. We also enjoyed the 90 minute drink menu, which is the best thing because we were able to also try a variety of drinks. My favorite was the fish and Mediterranean street corn. But overall, everything was very tasty, had lots of flavor, and just so good. I definitely recommend anybody to come and try this place out. You won't regret it!

Amazing service, ambiance, and food! Bacari surpassed my expectations and definitely lives up to the hype. I would definitely make a reservation, or you'll likely be stuck in line, or at the outside patio tables (which is what we did, and it was still really nice!) I came for my graduation dinner with family and it was a great place to do it. The servers were all super friendly and made the experience enjoyable. The ambiance is obviously gorgeous, especially on the outdoor patio. The food is slightly pricey, but wonderfully done and flavorful. Recs/what we tried: - Shrimp ceviche 5/5: I don't usually like ceviche much, but this was the best I've had. Great for starting/sharing. - Oyster mushroom 4.5/5: What a unique and tasty dish. I also hate mushrooms usually, but this was absolutely delicious. - Asian pear & brie pizza 4/5: Also unique and yummy! My dad liked this one a lot. - Glazed pork belly 4/5: Pretty tasty, just slightly fatty. - Bread pudding 2.5/5: I was excited to try this but it didn't hit the spot unfortunately... would skip out on this one, though I've heard their other desserts are good. I would definitely come back and reserve the outdoor patio to try more.

One of my favorite restaurants in Silverlake, we would go there for date nights as its a wonderful vibe, good food, and fairly excellent service initially but started getting worse when the restaurant gets busy (aka they forget orders, forget to check in, etc). The restaurant gets packed a lot, so when that happens their service dips (though it depends on the servers too) which is why I reduced 2 stars, and when the service started getting worse we only tried it once after that and its been years since we have been back, but will try to come back once we are in the area again and see how it is, and will update the review then.

We found this place to be very impressive. Scenery and food. First off, we were 20 minutes late as traffic was a complete nightmare. We arrived and they had our table waiting. It was packed, so this did surprise me, we welcomed the effort to see us immediately. The food is delicious. The potato tacos were so yummy. As were the olives and almonds as an appetizer, bursting with flavor. A twist on french fries that I've never had with a gravy and egg was really different and delicious. I landed with a watermelon mocktail that was refreshing. I must say one of the best parts of the meal was a recommendation from Hannah, our waitress as well as Rowan. "The best cake." Which was their warm date cake with French vanilla ice cream? We couldn't get enough. We were laughing because we said we were just gonna come back for the date cake. Make a reservation and go

I always enjoy a great Mediterranean spot! This place is in perfect location and the vibe is equally as good. Let's get to the food! Their Lamb Hummus,Flat Iron Steak and Mediterranean Street Corn are great starters. The flavors are delicious and melt in your mouth. They have a variety of other options that will provide you and your family shareable plates. Service is good as Corset and Madilyn are friendly and helpful and will provide and suggestions. Parking is on the adjacent street or valet.

7/10 Flat Iron Steak - This was mid. I've definitely made way better steak at home. 8.5/10 Scallop Medallions - The scallops were cooked to perfection, however I just didn't love the sauce, and the scallops were a bit over-salted. 10/10 Lamb Humus - Probably my favorite item we ordered! It completely surprised me with how packed with flavor it was! 10/10 Ricotta and Beet Gnocchi - My 2nd favorite item we ordered! It was delicious, the gnocchi was so soft, and the sauce paired perfectly with it! 5/10 Bcari Fries with Bacon - These were worse than McDonald's fries lol, definitely never getting these again. 8.5/10 Mac and Cheese - I enjoyed eating this, it just wasn't cheesy enough for my preference. It had great seasoning though. 10/10 Glazed Pork Belly - OMG this was definitely in my top 3 for sure. Cooked and seasoned perfectly. Cost - Flat Iron Steak $18.00, Scallop Medallions $18.00, Lamb Humus $16.00, Ricotta and Beet Gnocchi $15.00, Bacari Fries with Bacon $16.50, Mac and Cheese $13.50, Glazed Pork Belly $16.00.

Just an update, the management reached out to me as soon as I posted this initial review. I responded and they left me hanging lol..what a joke. Please do better in your customer service

Bacari delivers a fun, trendy brunch experience with a tapas-style setup that makes it perfect for sharing and trying a little bit of everything. The energy is lively and the food is delish - flavors were on point and everything felt well crafted. A few things to know before you go: The portions are small (tapas size) so plan on ordering 1-2 dishes/person to share. Valet parking is offered or street parking around the busy neighborhood (allot extra time for parking and walking). Importantly, make a reservation, walk-ins are welcome but be prepared to wait if you show up without one.

Ask the Community - Bacari Silverlake

Do you allow dogs outside dining?

    Said yes

    Is there Live jazz?

Yes! We have live music every Thursday-Saturday nights starting around 9pm. It takes place in the Indoor Lounge and Bar. You can see our full music schedule every month on our social media accounts. @eatwithbacari

    Is there a corkage fee?

Yes, corkage fee is $25/bottle. :)

Can you have a dj at your private party?

Hi! It all depends on what type of event! If it is a full buyout of the restaurant, yes, DJs at a certain volume are permitted. Feel free to reach out to our events team, and they will be able to answer your questions in more detail.…

Will you be open Labor Day?

Hi! I'm so sorry we didn't see this earlier. We are always open regular hours for Labor Day at Bacari Silverlake! :)

Do they still have happy hour on weekdays from 5-7pm? The menu that i saw that still list happy hour prices are from 4 years ago. Any new menu from 2024 onwards doesn't say anything about happy hour prices. Thank you!

Hey Reycie! Happy Hour at Bacari Silverlake is Monday-Friday from 5pm-6pm. No separate Happy Hour menu, discounts are applied to the regular menu!…

    Is there valet parking?

Yes there is. Right in front.

Do they allow modifications/substituted to their dishes?

Yes within reason be sure to tell your server about any food allergies. They are very good about that.

    Is there a dress code?

We went for weekend brunch and dressed casual. There were people dressed nicely but also casual. No dress code , but I'd suggest dressier casual.

Does the place actual close at 2:30 and open back at 4? Do they kick people out at 2:30? I have a reservation at 1:45pm?

Sorry for the delayed response. Only the kitchen closes, the restaurant itself and the bar stay open. We will start to do last call for brunch food around 230/245pm, the kitchen is closed while we transition to dinner, then reopens for the dinner…

Is it all you can eat brunch on Saturdays?

    No it is not

Dow you allowed if I bring my own cabernet sauvignon wine bottle? If yes, then how much for the corkage fee?

Hi! We do allow outside wine, and the corkage fee is $25/bottle.

    How much is valet?

Parking in residential is so much easier

Bday dessert?? What do they offer for birthday?

I would suggest calling as when I went one location have me something and another didn’t.

What times are the open bar hours each night?

OpenBar is available any time, any day, brunch & dinner! :)

    Is there parking?

Sometimes I've seen valet, but it's primarily street parking, there's some metered parking. There's no parking lot, unfortunately!

    Our corkage fee is $25/bottle.

I finally had the chance to stop in for a solo early dinner, but unfortunately, the food didn't quite live up to my expectations. I ordered the Lule Kabob Combo ($22), which included skewers of minced beef and chicken, rice, veggies, pita, hummus, and a side salad. The highlights of the meal were definitely the salad and the grilled tomato; the pomegranate seeds in the rice were also a nice touch. However, the meats weren't to my taste--the chicken had an odd aftertaste, and while the beef was better, neither really worked for me. Adding the provided sumac and lemon helped, but I wouldn't order the kebabs again. Additionally, the hummus lacked creaminess, and the pita tasted like it was mass-produced rather than fresh. On the positive side, the portion sizes are very generous for the price point, and I left feeling full. I also have to mention that the patio is adorable and very "Instagrammable," so it's a great spot if you're looking for a photo-friendly environment. A quick note for future visitors: they are currently having issues with their card reader and are requesting cash or Zelle. It felt a little unusual to be rung up on a register only to pay via Zelle, but it wasn't a major deal. While I appreciated the atmosphere and value, the food itself just wasn't for me, so I likely won't be returning.

There are so many different kebabs to choose from, and I've yet to have one that wasn't delicious. My personal favorites are the steak and the chicken--both are incredibly tender, juicy, and packed with flavor. You can really taste the quality of the ingredients in every bite. One thing you absolutely cannot skip is the edamame hummus. I had never even heard of edamame hummus before coming here, and now I can't believe I went so long without trying it. It was smooth, fresh, and full of flavor while putting such a unique twist on traditional hummus. It's one of those dishes that completely changes your expectations and has you thinking about it long after you've left the restaurant. On top of the amazing food, the service was outstanding. Everyone made us feel genuinely welcome, and the atmosphere was warm, relaxing, and perfect whether you're grabbing a casual lunch or having dinner with friends or family. The menu is packed with so many dishes that I still want to try, which just gives me another reason to keep coming back. Panini Kabob Grill continues to deliver an incredible experience, and I can't recommend it enough.

All of the food was delicious, and the staff was extremely friendly, which made the experience even better. I've been here several times before, and every visit has been consistently great--both the food and the service are always excellent. The only small downside is that the kabobs do not come with pita bread. And, When I ordered the steak kabob, a waiter asked me how I wanted the meat cooked, and I requested it well-done but asked him not to over-char it. However, some parts of the meat came out too charred, so I had to cut those parts off before eating it.

Each individual item is great on its own but the combination of flavors is what really takes it over the top for me. I usually get the kefta plate, but decided to try the shewarma this time and it was great. Boyfriend loved his salmon plate and insisted we come back :) We also tried the cinnamon halva shakes (not pictured) which were interesting, but not what either of us expected. Very creamy and not too sweet, with the tahini flavor overpowering the cinnamon. The ambiance of this spot is great - love the intimate patio area with string lights. There was a fire going in the stove too which was super cozy. One of my go to classy-casual spots!

I just think restaurants need to be more careful because of the parasite that is spreading even though, I realize that right now the incident rate is very low. Pargiyot chicken - 5 Very tasty. Especially liked the grilled onions and roasted chilis. Initially I was a little disappointed there wasn't any chicken kebabs on the menu but pargiyot was a bunch better option! Mejadra rice - 4 Hummus - 4 Great. Just wish there would've been more Pita bread - 4 Just wanted to mention it separately because it was thicker than normal. I liked it but it was more filling than I expected. Baklava - 4 Flavor was really good. But it was served in too small of a dish such that it had to be crammed into it. It was a little awkward getting it out and eating it. But I managed.
