Man, Panini Kabob Grill just never disappoints. Every time I come here, I'm reminded why it's one of my favorite Mediterranean spots. There are so many different kebabs to choose from, and I've yet to have one that wasn't delicious. My personal favorites are the steak and the chicken--both are incredibly tender, juicy, and packed with flavor. You can really taste the quality of the ingredients in every bite. One thing you absolutely cannot skip is the edamame hummus. I had never even heard of edamame hummus before coming here, and now I can't believe I went so long without trying it. It was smooth, fresh, and full of flavor while putting such a unique twist on traditional hummus. It's one of those dishes that completely changes your expectations and has you thinking about it long after you've left the restaurant. On top of the amazing food, the service was outstanding. Everyone made us feel genuinely welcome, and the atmosphere was warm, relaxing, and perfect whether you're grabbing a casual lunch or having dinner with friends or family. The menu is packed with so many dishes that I still want to try, which just gives me another reason to keep coming back. I had dinner this evening at Panini Kabob Grill with my mom and one of my brothers. I had the Steak Kabob with a Greek salad, my mom had the Chicken Kabob with an avocado salad, and my brother had a Chicken Kabob with a Caesar salad. All of the food was delicious, and the staff was extremely friendly, which made the experience even better. I've been here several times before, and every visit has been consistently great--both the food and the service are always excellent. The only small downside is that the kabobs do not come with pita bread. And, When I ordered the steak kabob, a waiter asked me how I wanted the meat cooked, and I requested it well-done but asked him not to over-char it. However, some parts of the meat came out too charred, so I had to cut those parts off before eating it. read more

We had the 1) Lamb Kabob plate - delish. lamb was tender and juicy. $22.99 2) Chicken Kabob plate - chicken breast but was still flavorful and good. $19.99 3) Hummus and pita plate - okay and it was only $2.99 so if you want more pita and hummus I would get it. Been a while since my last review. I ordered the Family Combo, 4 Chicken skewers with a side of Romaine avocado salad and Basmati rice. During the online checkout, the website surprisingly still asked for tip (what?) which I politely declined because I was picking it up in person. Total cost for the family plate was ~$83 at the time of writing this. When I went to pick it up around 12 pm lunchtime the next day, the restaurant pick up line was full, but the in person, dining was relatively empty. The restaurant just doesn't have the same atmosphere as it did pre-Covid. The employees were friendly but probably overwhelmed with the amount of customers impatiently waiting to pick up their food. The food was decent, although the quality might taste better sitting down at the restaurant, since the meal is cooked immediately rather than waiting in a to go box. The charboiled chicken shish kabob is still the absolute recommended when eating at Panini Cafe. read more

Panini Kabob Grill is always a go to for an affordable and filling meal. This place has one of my favorite Chicken Caesar Wraps in LA. I like to get it with the spinach tortilla and a side of lentil soup. The wrap has a great chicken to lettuce ratio. My only critique is that I wish there was less dressing. My friend is currently following a keto diet and it was easy for him to order here. I ordered the combo with the beef and chicken skewer with bulgur and a salad. My dish came with a little tzatziki dipping sauce and even though I HATE HATE HATE cucumbers, I decided to give it a try and was pleasantly surprised the cucumber taste was not overwhelming in the dish. :) The chicken also was not dry which was a nice touch since I've had dried chicken skewers before. Overall, I would recommend this place to everyone in the area looking for a nice lunch spot. There is outdoor seating which is nice and a big indoor dining area that is suitable for large groups. Thanksgiving at Panini Kabob Grill - DTLA was perfection. Having a little getaway/staycation in the city for a weekend to reset and enjoy the holiday, my boyfriend and I met up and found ourselves at Panini. Located at 9th & Hope Street, across from the huge Downtown LA Ralph's grocery store. We were greeted by a host and guided to pick our own seats on the patio and found a great table (not they do have seating inside as well). They had a good amount of hands on deck and tons of carry out and delivery orders. There were a small handful of people enjoying a mini feast out inside and out. The weather was ideal and so was the feeling of not preparing a buffet's worth of food like I have in the past lol. Our server brought us water and menus right away and gave us plenty of time to look over their extensive menu of Mediterranean must. Being California based chain I've been lucky enough to enjoy Panini at another location or two, but DTLA might be my favorite. If you don't know panini their know for amazing appetizers, desserts, entrees, pasta dishes, salads, sandwiches, soups, and wraps. As well as loads of vegetarian, vegan and dietary need options, noting quite a lot on their menu (such as prepared in shared kitchen ingredients, contains dairy, and so forth). I had the Falafel platter (forget to omit the tzatziki), but had at everything else and let me tell you it was a meal to be had! The portions are generous as are the prices. Babe had a pesto pressed grilled panini which comes with a big salad on the side. We both we happy and full that night. And our service was spot on. We didn't partake in their great selection of wine or beer (not a full bar), but did note some things for next time. Plus their kabobs which also include vegetable. Panini specializes in family style meals, catering and thus the ultimate plates/portions. The DT Los Angeles location just seems to have that something extra.
