I have used Ashton auto and Bob and Pat as mechanics for over a decade. They have recently help me restore yet another beautiful vintage car... My 1954 ford Crestline. I spent a good bit of money and they did a great deal of work recently and I was very pleased. But just the other day and by carburetor was just being a little wonky and literally they only had to do a small adjustment and they only charge me $25. This is why I love them they are honest they will tell you the truth and they're wonderful at repairing cars. I highly recommend them. read more

I had my Ford Explorer checked at another shop as it kept overheating. I was told it had a blown head gasket and needed a new engine to the tune of $4,000+ (estimates up to $8,000!). I did some research on the Internet and called Bob at Ashton after reading the great reviews. Let me say that those great reviews are well deserved. Bob did an engine block pressure test, told me he didn't think the head gasket was shot, recommended a new thermostat. The new thermostat, radiator drain/flush and oil change were less than $200. I couldn't be happier with the service experience and price and I'll definitely be bringing my car back to Bob and Ashton Auto Center! read more

We were having a hard vacation. The weather was NOT cooperating for a week at Siesta Key. (It was still better than Denver in March, but c'mon... 45 MPH winds, fist sized hail, tornadoes... Sounds JUST like Colorado not what we traveled 3000 miles for...) We borrowed Grammy's car and went for it despite the torrential rains. Noticed a battery light on... Uh oh. Stopped for lunch. Great lunch. Sky cleared a little. Tried for that walk on the beach... And it started raining again. Unfortunately, when we got back to the car, that's all that would start. From the sound, it said 'dead alternator' all over it. A quick tow into Ashton, and it was ready to go early the next morning. They knew Mrs W by face, recalled previous service, admired the low mileage(34K), buttered her up in just the right way (Praised her obvious economic prowess on buying the Geo that was really "Just a Corolla with different tags") and made her feel good. I like that in a mechanic. He also said what she was likely looking at next, and reminded her that he had said the alternator could go from her lack of driving. Again, I like this trait in a mech. It shows you are a decent kind of guy who takes pride in your work. Nice! read more

Bob is a 1st class, honest mechanic. I took my recently purchased 65 Mustang in for some work on the Holly carb, a tune up and some other issues. Bob and his guys got it running smooth and easy.
