I spent over $3,000 putting in canned lights in 4 rooms with switches. They look good, but one rooms switch was wired wrong and just goes into an automatic on/off mode. I called the switch company Lutron, and took pictures of the wiring to the switch and they said it was wired wrong. So I called ASI to come out and fix and they wanted $185 to troubleshoot. Would not warranty thier work. They also had to remove some plywood in the attic to install cans, and did not put back the plywood. They also left pencil marks on the ceiling and some holes do not completely cover the can and have to be fixed. I would not use them again. They indicated in their ads that their costs are reasonable, but the price changes when they show up or are done. Not trustworthy. read more

Amazing job by Shai on my electric problem. Some circuit breakers and the electric bar got corroded, causing for my AC and a group of lights to malfunction. Shai came to the rescue, replaced and upgraded the electric box, which included cutting out drywall in order to put in a larger, updated box. After he was done, he caulked whatever needed to be caulked, tested all the electric components and cleaned up after himself. Super friendly and a very professional service. Called ASI for an early AM appt. They showed up on time and ready to work. 18 recessed LED lights were installed plus exterior flood light and motion sensing spot lights. All told the work took about 6/7 hours to complete. Pricing was in line with the market. No drywall was damaged so that's a BIG plus. They even cleaned up afterwards. We had a 7:30/8:00a appointment, planning on 3 fans + electric boxes installed, a double switch repaired, and a quote to have 4-6 recessed lights installed. Shai & Nathan showed up around 7:15/7:20, with big smiles and ready to go. Shai was quick to assess the project, making recommendations for the lighting design. His knowledge and approach make it clear he has been doing this for some time, and I appreciated his perspective. After some conversation, our lighting project significantly grew. He called a few more guys to get the job done quickly, making sure his team took not only care in their work, but care of our home and belongings; most importantly he kept checking on his team to make sure they were working safely, taking care of themselves. During the day, they encountered several obstacles, but addressed them seemingly with ease. They were done before 3:00p, and by the end of the project, we have 3 fans and rated electric boxes installed, 15 new LED recessed lights, upgraded 10 recessed, 4 dimmer switches, new smoke/CO alarm, and repair of a switch. The job touched almost every room of our house, and everything was left cleaner than before they arrived. The lighting in our house looks AMAZING. 2 guys came out from ASI to replace my outlet plugs. They were friendly, fast, and efficient. The outlet covers they had available was the small standard one. The ones I have are medium size, so I had to go to Home Depot to purchase the covers and change them myself. If I plan to have anymore recessed lightings I think I will call them. After talking to him and listening to his advice I was very impressed with his quality of work. Half way through the project I could see that he knew what he was doing and asked him to install additional recess lighting in my upstairs Den and 3 additional outlets in the garage and living room. I had 3 recessed lights installed at $65 a piece and you get the 4th one free.... The lighting changed the look and feel of the room immediately!!! Everything went smoothly except I noticed a scratch on the frame of my bathroom mirror where they tapped into the existing line.... I thought if I wanted to make a stink over it or let it go, it was an accident I'm sure & the mirror was only about $100, but it was brand new & wasn't like that prior to them installing the lights... I called in was told they would look into it, long story short I had to keep calling them... Eventually I called in and the owner answered, he said he'd deduct $100 off my next job, and he was good on his word. He put more recessed lights in my living room w/ a dimmer which again changed the look & feel of the room immediately. Our outdoor lighting was in a sad state. About 26 lights and all the wiring had to be replaced. I called ASI, and was fortunate to meet Shai, who turned out to be half technician and half artist. He knew exactly where the lights needed to be placed for maximum effect. When he replaced the wiring he was careful to bury it, and did this without disturbing the sprinkler system wiring. A friend recommended ASI Electric to us for our attic fan needs. I scheduled them to come in the morning and they came to the house early. Shai (Co-Owner of Asi Electric) and Robert walked my husband and I through our house and gave us the same estimate Asi had quoted me over the phone. We showed them a few outlets that also needed replacing and they said no problem they could do it all while they were putting in the attic fans. By going with ASI Electric I received two fans for the price of ONE when compared to several other companies we were receiving quotes from. I thought their prices were very reasonable, but more so then the price the reason I will be going back to ASI for all my future projects is because of the service!!! Not only were they quick, very respectful of my home and professional, they were a breath of fresh air when it comes to trusting the people working on your home. Shortly after they left, one of the new fans started making a strange noise... I called Shai and asked him to come by in the next few days to look at it. He said a few days was unacceptable and he would be back to my home later that day! He returned to my home with Robert and they immediately confirmed something was slightly off. They spent an additional 45 min at my house making sure the strange noise was gone and the fan was working properly, they even replaced the fan just in case there was something wrong with the unit itself! Undoubtedly one of the best home improvement experiences we have had in a long time! They price every job at the top of the spectrum and are unwilling to make any concessions, even for large jobs. We were in a bind and needed someone to do the job quickly, so we went with them. I've been using ASI Electric for several years now. The first time was to add recessed lights and dimmers to a living room, then to hang ceiling fans and wall speed control switches for the fans, then outside floodlights, then more recessed lights with LED. Recently I've had them come out and run HDMI cables and extra outlets for TV and cable so I wouldn't need to use extension cords or have an ugly mess. Shai came out today and rerouted some cable cables, and did his usual great job. He has some magical artifice that allows him to run cables through a wall or pull out an old metal box without punching holes. When they come back they always remember the last job, check on some of their past work to check on how it is holding up, occasionally throwing in a free plug because the old one was ugly, or whatever. He chats with the kids and comments how they have gotten bigger since the last job, and checks the last invoice to make sure the labor charges are consistent. Little things like that keep my customer loyalty. I don't like to spend money, but my experiences have always translated into money well spent. Even my dad used them and liked them, and he doesn't like anybody. I'm now considering my next vain money-spending project, and will incorporate ASI into that. And they always arrive 15 minutes early. read more

Update: Today, ASI installed some motion sensor LED lights to replace some of the aging exterior security lights they installed 8 years ago. Shai made a great suggestion to install a motion sensor in the garage to kick on the interior garage lights when the cars pull in at night. Once again, I am loving their latest work. Here is the review I left at their last visit: I have been using ASI for 8 years. When I first moved into my home they did major work like run a new power line into the house from the street. They have since done everything from recessed lighting to an exhaust fan in the bathroom to exterior security and accent lighting. Shai is super amazing. When he comes, his truck is stocked for the project I called about and for the four other projects I think of while he and his clean and professional team is here. We've been looking to get recessed lights in the kitchen and hallway of the house for months, I was real apprehensive about ANY electricians because of an emergency incident and got burned, but, I had to put my fears aside. The Home Improvement Guide that is delivered through the mail showed up and we found ASI electric offering LED recessed lights, we looked up there reviews and found that they had good reviews, so I called the receptionist and got the ball rolling, she was very helpful and schedule a truck to come out to the house a few days after, on a day that was convenient for us. Shai and his helper showed up, we showed them what we wanted done, they complied with our request and suggested installing a Carbon Monoxide/Fire Alarm, which we did need. And away they went, everything was isolated with plastic to keep down the mess, all the lights were installed, mess was all cleaned up, we didn't have anything that needed to be done after the job was finished as far as cleanup. The cost was fair, and we are VERY satisfied. I have a little paint that needs to be done, but I'll be the one to do that. Kevin arrived on time which is quite unusual and rare. Anyway, Kevin assessed my problems and explained to me the dangers of what the previous contractor had installed in my kitchen. I actually thought it was going to be an easy job because one of my electrical sockets went out. He replaced all of the electrical sockets that were not up to code and replaced them with the ones which had reset buttons and he also found and disabled a dangerous electrical wire that should not have been done. read more
