Would highly recommend this company for any electrical repair services or new installation. We decided to install 40 LED recessed lighting fixtures and it is well worth the investment. CONSUMER BEWARE! They will force a service charge without informing the consumer when the consumer makes an appt. In my case, They did shoddy work and had to come back out to repair it and charge an additional 185.00 for work that should have been installed correctly from the beginning. Then they put a mechanics lien on my property for 185.00. Really they must be hard up. 185.00 is really chicken feed, it's the principal on how CROOKED and DESPERATE this company is. I found ASI in a "junk mail" advertisement. The add was for a discount on the installation of lighting and I called for an estimate on a job at my house. Spoke to Ori (don't know last name) and he sent out Joe and Marcos. Joe was a great guy. No nonsense, no high pressure sales to get me to buy more than I wanted. Joe answered my questions and he made some suggestions and then we agreed on the terms of the job. I ended up having 6 LED recessed lights and a new bathroom fan installed. I called ASI on Monday to add some recess lights in my bedrooms. Got scheduled for Wednesday 8:00 am. Shai Cabiri was in front of my house at 7:45 but did not ring the bell till 8:00 o'clock. He walked in and within few minutes gave me the price of the work that needs to be done. While he started working I asked him to add some stuff and remove some old stuff and was expecting to increase the price but he did not charge a penny more than what we agreed. Right, I will give this guy -5 stars. I am serious, no kidding, this is my first review on Yelp to bring this story out. i have only one problem : One electric Plug is not working and he changed the two circuit breakers, and I later found out that breakers was just tripping because A/C motor was short circuit. so here the stuff he did wrong 1) Change the breakers without any reason (they were just tripping ) 2) Put the old breakers (no package or receipt ), they even don't fit the panel and very loose , Now i have to change these old breakers. (All the other Electricians that come to my house said the same thing and laughed... old breakers + don't fit ) 3) He charged the double price for the same breaker (same model ..same company), when i ask him the price difference then he said "his dealers has better product than the home depot" (even the same company/model products) 4) Top of that too much....talking...talking...talking. The thing that made me more mad when he keep saying "you need me we don't need you" What the heck that mean ?? Now when i think about this whole experience i am keep thinking and getting mad at myself "Why in the word i listen to this guy and why i didn't kick him out when he was saying these things". Some times we get too nice and top of that it was hot 100+ in the valley and i just want to just fix this thing. but I learned my lesson hard way. My experience from this is "Never ever call without research and just ask for estimate first and get at least get 3-4 estimate before starting the work" The whole thing was a really bad experience and it bothered me for more than a week and it is still bother me when i look back and thing about this whole saga!! read more

We just bought a 100 year old house that had old knob and tube wiring. We called literally 10 electricians for bids to rewire the entire house. Shai from ASI Electric was prompt and VERY THOROUGH in giving me a free estimate from the get go rather than giving me a ballpark and adding to it later. Not only was his bid the most competitive, he also did not nit pick over a switch or outlet here and there. He also called LADWP for a new panel location before we hired him (since we would need to do it no matter who we went with) so that we wouldn't need to wait for 3 weeks for LADWP to come out. We were on a tight timeline to move in in less than 3 weeks and he met this timeline. He promised to do the rough in work within two days with a crew of 10 guys and was true to his word. He could've easily taken his time with a smaller crew, especially around the holidays but didn't. The rewiring passed inspection the first time. Throughout the process he gave his personal and professional opinion without being pushy. Shai definitely went the extra mile and provided excellent service. His crew was likewise professional, worked quickly and cleaned up after themselves. Orit who works from the office was also very pleasant and professional to deal with. ASI had such great reviews, i was happy to try them and they did come promptly. I tried to schedule the appointment so that my handyman, who is very knowledgeable about our house but he could not give me a time or day in advance despite knowing that. He would not speak to the handyman on the phone because he was sure he knew how to solve my problem. He told me it would be $185m for service and 85 for a GFI switch and that it would no longer work with the rest of the Control 4 system, clearly not ideal since that was a big investment for us, but that the sensor would do the trick for now and it is a quick and inexpensive solution. Except the bill was $695 and he made a $400+ profit charging for a part that i dont know if i even needed. He claims he made $150 off my job which took less than 40 minutes. Since the part installed retails for $95.99, i called bull shit. And he is an owner so i say BEWARE. read more

How about this company will come to your house with specific request to find short in the system because one circus breaker was tripping and air conditioner was not working, did bunch of unnecessarily manipulation with your system, charge you leg and arms and left house with air conditioner still not working and circus breaker still tripping. Their excuse was they can not find shorts but it does not affect system performance and surge probably kill air conditioner capacitor. In my world they are crooks and I would never suggest to anybody their service. read more

My Father needed to add a power Panel to his house so that Solar could be installed. We called several contractors and got numerous estimate. Shai from ASI arrived promptly at the scheduled appointment time. His bid was several hundred below the next best bid. He carefully explained to us why he was bellow the others and pointed out the work that was unnecessary that the others contractors were padding the estimate with. We felt good about his attitude and professionalism and went with him. We had ASI electric do some work about a week ago. We had all the lights replaced to LED and had all the outlets and switches changed over from the old ivory color from the 80s to the updated look of all white. Shai and Mario arrived on time and reviewed the work to be done, while Shai was reviewing what needed to be done in other rooms Mario got right to work on what was already confirmed. Our recessed lighting was low voltage mr16 and Shai had no problem figuring out what needed to be changed over for full LED. I called ASI Electric for an estimate. Asi himself arrived promptly as scheduled. He quickly understood everything I wanted to do in our newly acquired condo. Promised me an estimate within two to three days. The estimate arrived the very next day. My wife and I decided on doing only about 66% of what we originally asked. I expected Asi to say that the price was predicated on the total job so therefore the items we decided to go through with, would cost more individually. NO SUCH THING. He scheduled a crew for two days later, which fit perfectly with our calendar. We thought they would take two to three days to do everything, but they had a crew of 5 and the job was done in five hours. We asked them to do extra work, such as install some sconces etc. Shai gave us the additional prices and we had them do everything right then and there. They were professional, and they worked very clean. Two days later, my wife decided to have an extra high hat installed where the chandelier was scheduled to be installed. Shai appeared promptly the next day, and at no extra cost, furnished and installed the high hat plus a transformer for our bell. I could go on and on about how wonderful they were but all I can say, is if you want a professional ( not cheap - but worth every penny) electrician, ASI electric is the company to call. read more

I had a very high ceiling in the living area without an attic over it. It was a very difficult job to put recessed lights there. I called several contractors but all of them told me that they would need to cut the wall at several places. I was lucky that I contacted ASI Electric to get this job done. Shai is the man! You cannot find a better professional to do this job in California. He used his creativity to do the access lighting without putting any damage to the wall and ceiling.
