First, the ambiance, as the American I am who has NEVER traveled out of the country this is what I have been brainwashed into thinking is Asian, but they do have Asian workers. Well to start off when me and my friends went to dine somewhere we decided on Asia Buffet. When we arrived we were warmly greeted by a nice lady, and shown directly to our seats and got our drinks. Soon after we were browsing the food and let me tell you, there was quite the selection. From freshly made sushi, to crispy chicken, there was something palatable for every taste. Lastly the atmosphere. Many multicolored lights and ornate seats put together a very good experience for me. My personal favorite touch of decor was the mirror which spanned the entire wall of part of the restraunt which gave the illusion of an infinite building. Asia Buffet is one of the best Chinese Buffets in in the Southeast United States. All the food was freshly prepared and was delicious. The buffet featured Mongolian Beef, Beef with Broccoli and many other dishes with chicken and pork. The soups and sushi were served with excellent variety. Service was impeccable and the prices are very reasonable. I eat there at least once a month. I was treated really bad at Asia buffett on lee hwy. I was asked in front of several people to pay up front but nobody else was made to pay up front I was asked to move from where they sat us because I quote " someone no like you" so they put us in the back corner where there was no television and the server never came back to our table to clear plates or refill our drinks I was very upset and cried the whole time because they treated me like trash and it upset me that they done this in front of the whole restaurant which was really embarrassing I am human I have feelings too I paid 38 dollars for a meal I did not even get to eat I think I should at least get my money back we did not even get our fortune cookies when we left as I said the server never came back to our table I am going to talk to the Better Business Bureau first thing Monday I am not going to let these people get by with treating me like this I spent my money there and should have gotten treated the same as everyone else they were very rude and they were not professional at all I think someone needs to show them how servers are supposed to treat their customers this is not the first time they have been really rude to me and I think it is discrimination because we had our back packs and bags with us because we are homeless but we had the money to pay for our dinner and still got treated like shit so I paid for the two of us but I was to upset to eat so I went outside I think I should get a refund of 38 dollars for being treated that way in front of a crowd of people. read more

Visited once upon request and I must say the atmosphere is a bit messy. The mirrors next to the dining areas were filthy with hand marks all across them. They had to have been there for some time because we arrived as soon as they opened so we could insure the food would be fresh and not "picked over" & nobody had been seated there. The booths were ragged and need to be repaired. There are rips in the ones that have not been swapped out yet and the ones with removable cushions had so much OLD food caked in them. The floors didn't look to be cleaned regularly and they could use a deep cleaning or replacing. Signage on the table was dirty/stick. The food seemed to be decent but I couldn't really enjoy it while being disgusted sitting in "filth". Staff seemed to be nice enough and that would be the only saving Grace here. It's an interesting experience to eat at a buffet during covid. They have glass that prevent customers from interacting with the food and allow the customers to pick the food to be plated. They will give your food through a slot in the glass to maintain healthy conditions. The wait staff is friendly and will do their best to serve you. Although there are some language barriers, they still do their best and maintain professionalism. One of the waiters will be maintain the dining area and providing refills at a decent rate. The food is pretty decent for a buffet. Although not everything is cooked to perfection, it's still edible. The chicken on a stick is a little dry but the veggies, general tso, beef with broccoli, and bean sprouts are good. If you go for sushi, I would recommend basics only because you can visibly see it's fresh. Some of the saucy rolls seem to hide some refried shrimp. Although it's not the best food ever, they created an interesting experience during these times. I recommend coming here, but I also recommend timing your dining with their cook schedule. read more

1 star is the service. The food is alright but the service is horrible. Our experience was when we tasted the ketchup and it clearly tasted expired. We asked a server for another ketchup and she ignored our request. Then we let another server know we wanted another ketchup and he walking away told us there was some at the bars but once we let him know it tasted expired, he responded with "whatever." The restaurant was reopened the end of May 2020, after two months' closing due to the COVID-19 lockdown. Now the customers are separated from the food by a glass shied, and the server is behind the food. This is not as convenient as self-serving, but it's the best solution. The number of items is greatly reduced. But there are still far more than one can eat. The quality of the food has not changed much. It still has decent food at very reasonable price, with minimum wait time. But the take-out is not as good as before, because of the arbitrary price the cashier charges. Once I paid $8.99 for 1 1/4 lb of food - while they claim the price is $4.99 per pound. I don't even recall I saw her weighing it. No one wants to fuss over $2. We came at 8pm. Parking lot was not very busy, we were suffering colds so we wanted to enjoy some hot tea and soup among other things. EVERYTHING looked hot and fresh, not very many people seated. The Lo Mein is the best I've tasted from a buffet(or take out really), the coconut shrimp was so perfectly creamy and sweet, all of the sushi was rolled right and had a great taste, the sautéed mushrooms was a bit under seasoned/cooked, spring roll was great and crunchy, mei fun is one of my favorites and it was nailed perfectly! Egg drop soup was super hot and was great texture! Tea came out boiling hot and steeping but the tea kettle could be upgraded. The high chairs could use an upgrade for the broken buckles and be cleaned better. The entrance is beautiful, maybe a red carpet over the bridge to hide the cracked tile repair job, overall I was VERY satisfied and will be back! Looking forward to reviewing them again! read more

I'm so surprised by the negative reviews seems like people just having a bad day or want to complain just to complain and would rate it low no matter the experience. I almost didn't go because of the reviews but I was out of town for work and it was Christmas and this was basically the only place open . It was probably the best buffet I ever went to. Cleaner than any buffet, so many choices and everything delicious with different flavors and kicks to it. Not just tasting meat you can tell they put in the effort and made each item separately and deliberately. Just the sushi section alone had more variety than restaurant that only serve sushi. I was very satisfied with my experience. 18 dollars well spent. I won't lie because that's unfair to the people who read reviews looking for what to expect so the only things I didn't like was the jello but maybe that's after sampling 7 other desserts it just paled in comparison and they did bring me my check before I was done, I hadn't even tried the desserts yet, but that may be because a lot of people were coming in and they needed the tables. I was only in Tennessee for work so I was alone. But overall food quality, taste and variety it was the best buffet I've ever eaten at. I'm giving it 3 stars instead of 5 because there are a few things lacking: - they don't have tempura fried veggies like Forbidden City - also, the general atmosphere appears unhygienic. Overall, an above average, very decent Chinese buffet that's popular with the business/retired crowd. Lunch buffet is $7.05 w/ tax. While the restaurant itself is pretty tired looking, I think most will be impressed with the large selection of items to choose from--four or five buffet tables plus a hibachi and sushi bar. The center tables had all your classic Chinese-American dishes that were honestly pretty average. All the breaded and fried items (sesame chicken, general tso chicken, etc) were either dry and chewy or mushy. Not very fresh. A few standouts were the fried dumplings (who doesn't love that soy, ginger and scallion sauce), the surprising variety of steamed dumplings, pepper shrimp, and the Bankok chicken which is over by the hibachi items next to some of the driest most pathetic looking "steaks" I've ever seen. A handful of soups and seafood items are included too. There's one table of American fair including powdered mashed potatoes, huge links of "Italian" sausage, a dried out honey ham sitting in a inch of water, mysterious looking fish fingers, a frozen pepperoni pizza and soggy oven fries--I didn't get near any of it. So what, you ask, makes this place stand out? The hibachi and sushi bars make it a great value--especially for lunch. Most of the locals will be loading up on fried rice and egg rolls which leaves both wide open even with a crowd. Lots of rolls to choose from--a rainbow roll on a lunch buffet? Don't see that very often! Avoid the ones with cream cheese--just filler. Fix a plate of raw meat and veggies and hand it to the hibachi cook along with the sauce you'd like and you'll get about as fresh a plate of food you can get at a buffet.
