Well it was just... okay... I've been to many Asian buffets in my life and this one just really wasn't doing it for me. The staff were MOSTLY nice, a decent selection of dishes... but there was much less Asian dishes than I expected. That was really disappointing. A lot of the food was out too, like just a bit of saucy goop with a stray piece of meat. I do think it's way over priced for the quality. $18.00 for lunch for one adult as of August 2025. The restraint was a bit humid and the floor was a mixture of sticky in some spots and slippery in others. When we were seated the host literally tossed our silverware onto our table. I think that this is probably the worst Asian buffet that I have been too. Generally, I like them, because they are fast and I can find something that I like. I did like the hot and sour soup, crab rangoons, and chicken wings. My biggest concern was hot things didn't seem hot and cold things didn't seem cold. After seeing the raw chicken out at the pho and stir fry bar, I decided not to try either and that also turned me off on the idea of trying the sushi. Generally the food was full, like no one had come it yet for lunch, but the dishes did not seem hot and appealing. The space was nice, for a buffet, and there were quite a few items that had potential. To be be honest, I have been taking Ozempic and my appetite is a bit suppressed, so I an far more selective it what I choose to eat, I'm not going to try stuff that looks iffy. I gave it a bump up purely for the amount of variety of food you can find here. They were not kidding about 200 items! We came here for dinner and they had Dungeonese crab!!! All for $18!! Nowhere else can you find that kind of a deal. Somethings that stood out to me: - all the soups (sweet & sour, egg drop, wonton) - all the fried things you can think of - all the seafood available - shrimp, crab! - made to order Pho! That broth was pretty impressive for a buffet pho. We enjoyed it. - Made to order stir fry - Blue Bunny scoop your own ice cream in various flavors - custard buns! Overall, the quality of food is like 3 stars - this is what I would expect from a buffet. Not the freshest stuff but some items were really yummy and decent and surprising. Food/Taste/Flavor: 3/5 - overall food is similar to what you would find at a cheap Chinese buffet. Know that since there isn't much competition in the city, it's not great but hits the spot for any cravings. The food does range heavily on the saltiness but do tend to be more salty. The crab legs weren't fresh and didn't taste quite right. The sashimi (sliced raw fish) was decent but fairly thick strips. The BBQ pork was not fresh and quite dry as well. Ambience: 4/5 - fairly clean place with staff being quite aware of usage. The decorations didn't seem cohesive though with items being mashed together. Asian Buffet has a great combination of things to try, and was a fun AYCE experience for me and my dining companion. A resident of Port Angeles, she was a novice to many of the options Asian Buffet offered, so it was my pleasure to introduce her to some of the dishes I am most familiar with. Everything was fresh, with a variety of classic Asian dishes... some stirfries, vegetables, rice, noodles, a few dumplings, sushi, and desserts. We tried a little bit of almost everything in moderation. (There even appeared to be a Pho station with fresh ingredients, though it wasn't immediately obvious without signage regarding that area, so we passed on it.) The environment (room, floors, tables, steam trays, setup cases, displays, and bathroom) were very clean. Service when needed (beverages, clearing of plates, and checkout) was friendly and efficient. A humble establishment, Asian Buffet is not seeking a Michelin Star for their cuisine, but they are doing a good job with everything they offer their patrons, most importantly, food that is tasty and plentiful. Ordered via Door Dash - Greasy spring rolls - no dipping sauce Chicken on a stick was marinated in what you usually find on a BBQ Pork appetizer then grilled instead of tossed in a teriyaki and grilled, weird Coconut Shrimp was mushy breaded shrimp with some strange white sauce drizzled on it, weird Fried Rice - undercooked rice with large chunks of raw white onions in it and it was a very faint red color like Spanish rice - it goes in the trash, undercooked rice can be dangerous. Asked for condiments and utensils got none, no dipping sauce for the spring rolls which I'm not eating now as they're too greasy. I'll just say this is the last time I order here, this was a complete train wreck. Going to satiate my hunger for dinner by eating some ice cream. I'm sure the calories are far less than this greasy, soft deep fried saucy mess. OMG! I had the Mongolian Beef special combination plate and chicken wings delivered by DoorDash tonight. The chicken wings were moist, which I tend to think of as the most important thing, but they were the blandest chicken wings I've ever had. I'd rather have dry wings with some flavor. The Mongolian beef was wonderful, though. It has a high proportion of onions to beef, but I like it that way. The special combination plate comes with an egg roll and it's a little cheaper than just ordering Mongolian Beef. The Mongolian Beef smelled so good, I forgot to take a picture. They are very creative in staying open. You have to wear disposable plastic gloves before your get your food. They used disposable plates and silverwares. The bathroom was very clean. They blocked some seats to maintain social distancing while dining in. They have the basic chinese food out. The cost was $11.99/person. The quality and taste of the food were alright. This is my first time ever doing Yelp and I usually try not to say anything, but this time was so bad that I have to say. The service is atrocious, the food is old and bland, and the place is dirty. Lets start with the service. Not only did we not get refills on our drinks and not get the bill with fortune cookies, but when I did see the workers, they are sitting and doing nothing. They clearly do not care about the restaurant, the customers, or even their jobs. They look like they could get fired today and not care. Now the food, my usual plate consists of Low Mein, Crab Rangoon, Meat Sticks, and General Taos. I will say the Crab Rangoon is usually pretty good but the Low Mein is dry and bland, the Meat sticks are old and hard, and I didn't even get the General Taos this time because it looked like brown slop so this time I tried the BBQ Chicken which was dry and chewy. All of the food in general looks like its been sitting there for hours. My dad and I usually say its a roll of the dice when we come here but now I can safely say that I will never be coming back here. I came here for a Sunday dinner on June 4th, 2023 after spending a day at Olympic National Park. This place serves all the typical American-Chinese dishes found at most buffets and budget take-out restaurants. This place serves dumplings, hot & sour soup, egg drop soup, wonton soup, spring rolls, crab rangoons, lo mein, fried rice, chicken with broccoli, beef with mushroom, coconut shrimp, and many more. Since this was the special weekend dinner, I also got seafood dishes. This included whole mussels, shrimp, and Dungeness crab. Considering the $10.99 person charge (+ $1.79 per soda), it was definitely worth the price. i was in in a Saturday afternoon, it was slow, but the 4 or 5 stations were well stocked. I talked my husband into taking me here tonight. I'd been here previously as part of a rotary lunch and was impressed by the variety of food and the freshness. Of course, with Covid, nothing is the same and this held for this place. About 1/5th of the offerings, not much fresh food and overall 'eating' not dining. I get it... there's less business and many establishments are barely hanging on. What was sad was the 'math error' on the check where it became obvious that there was extra added to the sales tax that shouldn't have been. We didn't say anything because, honestly, we weren't planning on coming back. But, since I'm a Rotarian 'Is it the truth?' Is a huge part of my belief system. We were at a strip mall doing errands, starving, and grateful to see a restaurant. We usually love Asian Buffets and decided to have lunch. WHAT were we thinking? I don't know if this was ever or never a popular place. When buffets are busy, food gets turned over faster and there are hot fresh choices. We were 2 of 6 people in there, so fresh food wasn't available. Actually there wasn't much coice. Several steam tables were closed down and the food was just above room temp, bland and tasted like everything came out a package. I think they cut the bananas, but not clear what other food prep they actually do here. What were we thinking? Buffet during pandemic? Walk into a large, empty restaurant and decide to eat there anyway? We were so hungry we didn't realize the best thing about this place is ample parking. That's not enough to come back. A pleasant surprise. After reading the reviews I was hesitant. Upon entry, the establishment had a delightful and pristine atmosphere. The buffet was perfectly laid out, granting patrons easy access to each food item. I decided to test out the grill where you can select from a variety of fresh meats, and vegetables, as well as rice or noodles. I am in Port Angeles working from out of town and decided to try the buffet after work one day.... it is reasonably priced.... however the so called sushi is half the size of normal sushi... which I have never seen in any Asian buffet.. usually the sushi is regular size.... the crab wasn't even worth picking up... everything I had tried was dried out, overcooked. I have to say that they are doing a good job keeping everyone safe during the pandemic, you have to wear gloves and use disposable dishes and there is sanitizer everywhere, BUT that's where the good part of the review stops. We went there last night and this is possibly the worst Asian buffet I have ever been to. The food was horrible! Most of it was cold and way over cooked. The choices weren't great and everything looked like it had been there since lunch, and it was almost 6pm when my husband and I went. The "vegetable" fried rice had hot dogs in it! Cut up HOT DOGS! In VEGETABLE fried rice!!!! HOT DOGS!!! Besides the food being awful, the table were sticky and my husband used the restroom (I'm glad I didn't) and said it was disgusting! The floor was so sticky he said it was like being stuck to fly paper! I would give this no stars if I could! It was recommended to us by several people and I think those people might be nuts! We will NEVER go there again and will NOT recommend it to anyone. I honestly was surprised we didn't get sick from it!
