The place was completely empty of other customers when we walked in and stayed that way- not a good sign for a lunch restaurant around lunch time, though maybe we missed the rush? As other reviewers have pointed out, I also found the atmosphere to be lacking- very dark and cold; not even any music playing. As far as food goes... the word that comes to mind is "dry". The chicken in my wrap was cold and dry, my wrap itself was cold and dry... surprisingly, the gluten free cookie was in fact not dry and pretty good. I asked for fresh mozzarella and my salad was loaded with shredded, highly-processed mozzarella, and all of the veggies were all wilted or squishy. Today was my first time here since it became Portside instead of Turnip the Beet. They have paninis now! I got the Jalapeño Popper Grilled Cheese and Harvest paninis on herb focaccia. I didn't think there was enough jalapeño on the jalapeño one, but I'm going to find out if I can ask for extra. It was still excellent, and the bacon, fig, and spinach combination on the Harvest Panini was perfect. The counter person put a lot of care into making the sandwiches perfect. She checked to make sure that they were grilled just the right amount of time. Be aware that the door is extremely heavy, and is difficult to open if you're not strong. read more

My partner ordered the new club rice bowl ($15) which had peas, half cooked bacon, and a mayonnaise sauce that covered the entire meal. She took 2 bites and couldn't eat any more of it. The restaurant opened at 11, and we got there around 11:20, but were obviously the first people there on a Saturday. It smelled of burnt paninis and was dark and not very welcoming. I stopped in here last night for a quick bite on my way home from an Olympic peninsula road trip and im just sad i don't live closer to this place! I wish i could come here all the time! Its really cute and has a laid back hippy vibe. The person working was really friendly and fun to chat with. He offered several fun puns and asked me if id seen any vampires or werewolves during my Forks adventures. We chose this place because it had an excellent rating on Yelp with many excellent reviews and we were looking for a healthy option. I ended up getting the last of the soup for the day- kale and white bean and then my friend ordered the blast pita sandwich that came with bacon, romaine, sriracha mayo, sprouts, tomato and avocado. It was delish and massive. She had to take half to go. We also tried one of their cookies- the Hawaiian one- get it toasted. Warm cookies are better than cold. There is a bar next door that joins with the restaurant. Since the lighting was better over there we opted to take our food over and that was nice. 10/10 will return to this place next time im in Port Angeles! read more

I also ordered the tomato parmesan bisque and it was not creamy at all, just a thin clear soup that was very spicy. The inside was dark with very sparse decor. On a positive note, the service was quick and polite. And the sandwich was made using a real panini press instead of just toasted, which was nice. He then looked up and studied the board and told us he was checking to see if he had all the ingredients needed. Gotta remember I'm in Port Angeles and not Los Angeles. Here any vegan is 5 Star so I'm grateful for TTB. Got an OK salad last night to go featuring diced beets. Nothing fancy but it was good. Single staff behind the counter was clearly overwhelmed with multiple customers. Our patience paid off in the end but is was painful to watch the process. Not the easiest on street parking situation either. We've got a couple more days ahead of us in the area so I'll be scouting out more vegan dining options. Ridiculously overpriced for what we got! This was a close place near our airbnb for lunch. Its a good sandwich/salad place. From the outside, it definitely does not look like much, but this place commands a ton of retail space. We ordered the B.L.A.S.T. and Greekin Out because we were told by the gentleman helping us that those were the top two order favorites. They ran out of sprouts for my B.L.A.S.T., so I sub-ed it with beets. The pitas were overall done well (I loved my creamy siracha sauce) and they gave a fairly healthy/decent portion. Each was about $8. If I had been hungry, I think this might not have been enough. The cookies were decent, but a little on the "overcooked/tough" side. I sort of got the feeling that although everything is made from scratch/in-house, they don't have enough of a turnaround, so many things "sit around" for awhile.
